Bei Amou in Hannover

A real insider tip! Super delicious food, large portions, and very friendly service. The grilled meat was perfect, and the tzatziki was a dream. Great value for money—we'll be back!

The restaurant is slightly tucked away in Kirchrode, roughly near the Madsack building. There's ample parking, and the route leads through the very large beer garden to one of the two dining rooms. These are also generously sized. During my visit, the service was a bit slow, probably due to staffing issues, and the food also took longer than usual. However, since the atmosphere was very pleasant, this shortcoming wasn't too significant. The food arrived hot and delicious, of good quality and quantity. Given the reasonable prices, this Greek restaurant is highly recommended.

Very tasty good food. The employees are always friendly. I don't have to wait long for food or my drink. The service staff always tried hard, came to the table regularly and asked if everything was OK. The food tasted great. Well seasoned, consistency was great. The pre-salad was very tasty. The chef also greets the guests personally when he has time. I would love to come back here.

Delicious gyros and other good Greek food!

Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. The meat was super dry and had a very strange aftertaste. The rice was super sour for some reason. Only the fries and the salad beforehand were ok. After I ate here I felt sick all evening... The service was nice, but unfortunately that doesn't make the food any better. And value for money is really terrible

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was disappointing. The food did not meet our expectations in any way. The meat was dry and had an unpleasant, slightly sour taste that was rather off-putting. The rice also had a noticeably sour note and was hardly edible. Shortly after eating we felt unwell which further detracted from the experience. Despite the restaurant being completely empty, the waiting time for the food was about an hour, which surprised us and further negatively influenced our impression. Under these circumstances, we unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant and do not plan to visit again. The service was okay

It was nice in the beer garden. Unfortunately the food is not my taste at all. The tzatziki tingled on the tongue. The gyros and meat were dry. The rice had little taste. We won't be coming back again.

Quality of your subpar village Greek. The loin is more of a shoe sole than tender and the gyro is okay to dry. The ambience is below average due to the location, but the service is okay.

I thought the bifteki was very lightly seasoned and the gyro was very mixed.

Being outside. Delicious and honest food! A cold beer in the garden under the tree. You can really have that here. Ismael is an incredibly warm and attentive host! We had gyros, souflaki and the lamb with eggplant! Everything was really tasty and well seasoned! Nice little side salad, tasty tzatziki and Einbecker on tap. You don't need anything else... don't forget! Finally, order red ouzo!!

Celebrated the end of an eventful day with a birthday dinner. Very good food, pleasantly generous portions, very attentive boss, well-kept atmosphere. Gladly again at any time!

Visit on December 23rd: Restaurant not fully occupied around 6 p.m. Attentive boss, good selection in new menu. Four of us (and dog) ate and drank very well. Clean atmosphere and always good, fast service. Good, dry red house wine. We have known each other for a long time, highly recommended here around the Döhrbruch.

The food was very tasty and large portions. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere could be a little warmer. The Greek flair is a bit missing. €5.20 for a grape juice is a proud price. The food, on the other hand, was actually cheap for the size.

Alles Sauber und ordentlich gutes Essen und guter Service

Wie immer leckeres Essen! Ob gegrilltes Fleisch, das Putengeschnetzelte oder Lammfleisch - wir waren alle mehr als zufrieden. Auf Extrawünsche wurde ohne Probleme eingegangen. Kinderfreundlichkeit wird hier echt großen Wert gelegt!

Schönes Ambiente (draußen), essen top und guter Service. War sicher nicht der letzte Besuch.

Lecker wie immer. Die Speisen sind nicht überwürzt, so dass man noch die Qualität des Fleisches beurteilen kann, die als gut bis sehr gut zu bezeichnen ist. Das Team ist freundlich, hat für Sonderwünsche ein offenes Ohr und ist schnell. Sehr angenehm ist auch, dass es keine Kinder - oder Seniorenteller sondern Gerichte für den kleinen Hunger gibt. So kann man mehrere Vorspeisen essen und ist mit einer kleinen Portion dann bestens gesättigt. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung.

Netter Empfang, leckeres Essen, gute Atmosphäre....

Es gibt zwar einen schönen Biergarten, aber die einzige Bedienung war völlig überfordert. 45 Minuten Wartezeit bis zur Aufnahme der Bestellung sind schlichtweg zu lange. Die Qualität der Speisen ist gut, wenngleich die Portionen etwas größer sein könnten. Preise sind ok, Parkmöglichkeiten reichlich und behindertengerechter Zugang gegeben.

Einfacher Grieche überraschend gut. Das Restaurant ist kein optisches Highlight, doch davon darf man sich nicht beirren lassen. Die Speisekarte hat alles was man bei einem Griechen erwartet und man wird nicht enttäuscht. Saftiges Suflaki bekommen teilweise die besten Restaurants nicht so hin. Gyros in groben Stücken, wie mit dem Messer vom Spieß geschnitten. Mein Tipp als Vorspeise Gegrillter Schafkäse und Octopus in Tomatensoße. Einfach griechisch zubereitet von jemand, der sein Handwerk versteht und den alten Charme der ehrlichen, einfachen Küche lebt und genau das sieht man dem Restaurant an. Hier ist ein die Zeit dtehen geblieben und das ist toll.

Klasse, wir haben im Garten gesessen und gegessen! Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir werden öfter hingehen. Sehr gute Alternative zu den weiteren griechischen Angeboten in Hannover/Bemerode.

Liebenswertes Restaurant im Quartier. Sehr familiäres Umfeld, gutes Essen. Die Küche erfüllt fast alle Wünsche, notfalls kocht der Chef selbst. Schöne Abwechselung zu den austauschbaren unpersönlichen franchise Ketten.

Bei Ismail ist das Essen sehr gut für wenig Geld viel auf dem Teller ich kenne ihn schon 15 Jahre er hatte ein Restaurant Argentina in Barsinghausen allso Leute last euch das leckere Essen und die Gastfreundlichkeit hier nicht entgehen Ismail mach weiter so

Super nette Bedienung, selbst der Chef packt mit an. Ist für jeden Plausch zu haben. Essen ist super lecker, und auch für den Normalo Bürger bezahlbar. Selbst wenn man die Portion nicht schafft wird es selbstverständlich zum Mitnehmen eingepackt. Man hat freie Platzauswahl, Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden. Gehen immer wieder gerne dahin.

Sehr nette Bedienung und ein freundlicher Inhaber der auch noch selbst an den Tisch kommt um zu bedienen und ein wenig zu plaudern. Die Preise sind bezogen auf die Portionen die man bekommt Recht billig. Man kann sich die Reste auch einpacken lassen. Ich war rundum zufrieden!

Sehr guter Service und passende Preise. Das Essen ist sehr lecker (ich empfehle das Gyros mit Käse überbacken) und das Ambiente einladend und gemütlich. Wir waren an meinem Geburtstag da und es war ein schöner Abend :)
