Lovely little Italian restaurant. Very good homely food and our server was lovely. Prices were also extremely reasonable. Portions were huge and they helped us pack leftovers!

This place clearly discriminates against foreigners. We are in town for the weekend to explore the local sights and were excited to try this place after reading all the positive reviews. While the food was decent, the service could be better. We made reservations ahead of time but when we arrived, the host just motioned for us to sit in the back corner of the restaurant while they would walk other guests to their tables. Our main server kept avoiding our table after taking our order and handed off anything coming to our table to other servers. Different servers were sent to our table and no one ever checked on our table but they were happy to check on other tables. They completely forgot our second order of drinks and were not apologetic about it when we had to flag someone down and order them again.

Simply an experience. Top quality at really moderate prices. Our waiter Davide was super personable and just a heart and soul. The pizzas are a 10/10. We have been coming here for over 10 years, always a pleasure.

Best pizzeria north of the Alps

No chance without a reservation. No fixed service in the evening, if you reorder drinks the order gets lost, you don't ask how it tastes. You are also not interested in making an additional sale; you would rather occupy the next table. Numerous guests wait at the entrance for a free seat. I really wouldn't have wanted to sit there! (Guests stand right next to the tables at the entrance) Food doesn't come at the same time (there were only 3 of us and we all had the same starter!) My ravioli were tasty, although much more al dente than desired (1 minute more would have been great, then I wouldn't have had to cut them with a knife). Pizzas were really tasty. And the tiramisu is a DREAM.

The worst service. They lasted a lot bringing the dish, did not apologize for the bad service and it did not taste good. Only the coffee was good, nothing else. I do not recommend it!

So where should I start? You can say all kinds of things about this restaurant but unfortunately nothing good. We were in many shops in Garmisch: cafés, restaurants, pizza bistro - but we have never experienced anything so terribly bad, either in Garmisch or in our whole history of visiting the restaurant. Unpleasant, bitchy waiter; dishes smelling of fat; fish that has not been properly cleaned from the inside; Tomato soup with diced pork where you wouldn't expect it at all; bread not baked to the end; moderate tasting pizza. You will be happy to find all of this in this restaurant, but if you are a gourmet and prefer to pay more, eat smaller portions, but with quality and full taste - please don't go there. Yes, you can get huge portions for less money but hello! Unless you are a farmer and get there after working in the fields, you don't need it. You want to have a food experience for the money and not just be stuffed with food that tastes so mediocre.

We were traveling home from Italy and were happy to have found a restaurant that still served warm food at 9:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the restaurant turned out to be a complete disaster. The service is unfriendly, gives pat answers, grabs the menu out of your hand and slams the plate of food on the table and, best of all, you are asked to pay and leave at 10:30 p.m. (opening hours until 11 p.m.). . I have never experienced anything so unfriendly, cheeky and unprofessional in a restaurant. I would never eat there again.

We were craving pizza during our trip through Germany and we did a quick search and stopped by here. The bruschetta was amazing and the pizza was fantastic. We felt like we stepped out of Germany and into Italy. I would highly recommend eating here if you’re ever in the area.

I went to Renzo's for the first time today on the recommendation of friends and I have to say, the Quattro Stagioni pizza immediately entered my top 3 of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The dough is amazing, the cheese is great and the other ingredients were also very tasty! The pizza came super quickly and the red wine (Merlot) was also delicious and for 6 euros the glass was very well filled. At the end we were allowed to choose a digestif or an espresso. This is no longer common practice everywhere! The prices are also very reasonable. The restaurant is simply furnished but quite cozy. I'd love to come back here when I'm in the area again! Keep it up!

Fantastic restaurant. The waitress was really kind to welcome us despite the late hour and the service was very quick. The pizza was far above expectations. Maybe the local ingredients were different from the Italian ones but it was still excellent.

Extremely friendly staff. Large selection of first-class food, drinks and desserts. Always very well attended, which of course speaks for the good quality. The operator always maintains an overview, even when the workload is heavy. Price/performance ratio absolutely fine. Here you feel welcome as a guest and every euro is well invested...

Pizza was good (base could be better), pasta was very good. Service absolutely top. Super fast, but really very friendly. Really great! About the atmosphere: it's not an Italian place to eat romantically. If you don't expect that, then it's totally fine. I would describe it as pleasantly lively.

We ate at the pizzeria with 28 students with a prior reservation. The service was great! Both the taking of the drink and food orders and the serving went very quickly and smoothly, so that we were all able to eat at the same time. We will definitely eat there again on the next school trip to Garmisch.

We were looking for a good Italian restaurant in GAP at short notice. According to Google it had the most reviews and rightly so!!! The owner himself was in the restaurant with customers and was in a really good mood ☺️. As a starter there was bruschetta, super delicious!!! The main course was very tasty, the pizza was super thin but generously topped and the pasta with porcini mushrooms and beef fillet tips was perfect. The service was a bit busy that evening, but (according to the boss) it wasn't noticeable. As a nightcap there was a grappa or amatetto on the house. There are enough parking spaces on site ☺️

We were there during our vacation and relied on Google reviews when choosing a restaurant. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the ambience and service, which the food unfortunately can't match. The kitchen was not able to deliver the pizza and the other dish at the same time and the service staff only realized very late that it is inconvenient if two people cannot even eat at the same time. Unfortunately, it felt very much like a dismissal. We were also assigned an impossible place at the garden table with garden chairs without a poster. The pizza was really big and delicious, so I didn't manage to eat it all; The rest of the pizza was only given to me in aluminum foil when I asked, which didn't really do the Parma ham any good. Good for a quick meal, but not for a nice evening.

Absolute disaster, I loved visiting the pizzeria and it was always very good. Today the food was so bad that I could only eat two forks and left everything ugh. The waiter bought us expensive wine. We wanted to at least drink a glass of wine in peace, but that wasn't possible because 5 after he brought us wine he said the table was reserved from 7.15 p.m. and it was already 7.05 p.m. so we had 10 minutes to drink wine and leave. Sorry but that's the last thing, we'll never go to shit loading again.

Ordered pizza to take away on site. Pizza was good so far, but after a drink was forced on us, I was warned not to eat my pizza on site, even though the drinks were only brought after the pizza. Too bad

Unfortunately, I do not recommend it, which is a pity because I have been here many times and today I was disappointed. The antipasti had hair in it, the brusquetta had no spices, the toast was all wet and not crispy. The only thing that tasted good was pizza and seal. The waiter was not interested in us, he did not ask if we needed anything or maybe a coffee and dessert. We waited 20 minutes for the bill. We went to the bar ourselves to pay. We work in the catering industry ourselves and we know personally what things should look like and taste like. Honestly.... I'm sorry because I highly recommended this place.

Anyone who finds their way to Garmisch Partenkirchen should definitely eat here. In terms of ambience, the place is in the middle of the city, so there isn't much of a view. But that's not necessarily necessary here. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We were greeted and shown to a table. The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. By far one of the tastiest pizzas I've eaten. The pizza base was thin as it should be. You can tell that baking is done here in a stone oven. The pizza is also quite large and many people have the “leftover” packed away. Dear team, keep it up.

Renzo was recommended to us by a waiter who worked in the Drei Mohren Hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Myself and 10 of my friends visited Renzo for dinner and liked it so much we decided to spend the last evening of our holiday there. The price of the food and drink was very reasonable and the quality was very good. Portion size was very generous also. This was appreciated as we were on a walking holiday and had good appetites. The service was also very good. The staff were cheerful, friendly, and helpful. I had the seafood risotto, which was lovely, and I can definitely recommend the Chianti wine. I had the tiamisu for desert, which was also delicious.

We've been going to Renzo since 1980; the service is always equally friendly and accommodating; the food is excellent! We feel very comfortable at Renzo!

Pizza and pasta very good, price/performance also good, except for the mixed salad, at € 6,- overpriced for what is on the plate, that's not possible.... Since the restaurant is busy and is located directly on a double-lane road, the noise level is very high...

Great Italian. I had bruschetta for starters. If the bread had still been toasted, it would have been perfect. The tagliatelle with chanterelles and scampi were very tasty and the portion was really large. The staff are on point and very friendly. I was very satisfied all around, the prices are also completely okay.

Great place and never disappoints.

So far so good, except the second meal was forgotten and only came when I was almost finished with my pizza. Not a word of apology as the second meal was brought too late.

I've been going to Renzo Essen with my family for about 10 years. The quality is very good, the price is reasonable, inexpensive for Garmisch. The service is very good 👍. I can only recommend this pizzeria.

So yesterday we were at the Pizzeria Renzo and I have to say it was the best pizza I've ever eaten. I'll be coming back from Munich. The staff was super friendly and very nice

This pasta platter with three different flavors really amazed me! Each dish seems simple, but the flavors are unique. Its pesto sauce noodles have almost no garlic flavor, but a strong aroma of herbs (surprisingly it is the lightest of the three noodles), while the white sauce pasta has a rich cheese flavor (no milky flavor). The red sauce pasta has a very rich flavor, with no meat but a smoky flavor. The tiramisu is very generous (the most important thing is that it is super delicious)! On my second day in GP Town, I went back to Restaurant Pizzeria Renzo for dinner (this restaurant is amazing!) I told the boss that I wanted to eat pizza this time. The boss said that the pizza should be paired with red wine, and then recommended me a sparkling red wine called lambrusco dell'emilia produced in central Italy. This is the best red wine I have ever drunk in my life! I will visit Restaurant Pizzeria Renzo again this Christmas holiday, this restaurant has been included in my favorite shop❤️
