Dorint Sporthotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

The hotel is in great need of renovation. The rooms are not cleaned properly. The carpet in the room and also in the hotel is dirty. The sauna area is also outdated. The entire facility is getting old.

Positive: - Large room - Very good, large breakfast buffet - Nice staff Negative: - The whole complex is very spacious and connected with tunnels - Room with 2 bathrooms, but only one toilet, with an awkwardly positioned toilet - The hotel is visibly old, wear and tear is evident in many places. But nobody seems to be interested in the condition, many things could have been replaced or repaired with little effort (e.g. wobbly steps, doormats in front of the front door, coat hooks on the bathroom door, doorstops underground). All little things that, when taken together, simply leave a negative impression. - TV remote control was empty (or broken) - The parking garage and parking spaces are VERY narrow and they also charge €11 per day. Almost outrageous. - 2 parking decks were closed, the evening search for a parking space became a gauntlet - Cleanliness was so-so, there was dirt in front of the room (probably a potted plant once stood here), the floor behind the door was not thoroughly cleaned - Trash cans in the bathroom were not emptied Would I come here again? Probably not.

All in all recommended. Unfortunately there is no free parking. Breakfast very good. Room was quite warm. Even though the heating was set to frost position. The room had a bathtub and enough space for the clothes you brought with you. A small refrigerator was also available. What was annoying was that some electrical device turned on every hour for about 5 minutes. There are also opportunities for swimming and sauna. Price-wise it was ok.

Unfortunately it is getting old, some of it needs renovation. Our apartment was equipped with a dishwasher and oven, but unfortunately they didn't work. A technician was supposed to come by the next day, but unfortunately he didn't come. Unfortunately there is no information that the sauna can be used without textiles.

I enjoyed my stay there. The place is beautiful and big. The location is good too. The bus stop is near the hotel. The breakfast good with a lot of option to eat. The service of all workers good, they are so friendly, respectful and sweet. The atmosphere is very old Bavarian!! I would come back!!

I've been coming here for 20 years, used to go regularly, then stopped for a while and now we're back. Positive: The hotel is still great, the swimming pool and sauna are great. The rooms are great too. It's a shame that the sauna is only open in the evenings. Unfortunately, you can see that renovation is urgently needed in many corners. I hope the timing isn't overlooked as it's really about time. The corridors and corridors in particular have seen better days. The breakfast is also great, even though there used to be more choice. The staff is friendly. Conclusion: the hotel has seen better days, but with a renovation I see the hotel in a positive future.

Very nice hotel, great spa area, mega breakfast buffet.

Yep, no comparison to Dorint Hotels in larger cities. Here, people seem to rely completely on the location, and unfortunately that shows up everywhere. Inside and outside with the charm of the 70s, renovations were only made where absolutely necessary. The furniture, apart from the beds, really comes from antediluvian times. The kitchenette is advertised online, but costs an extra €13 per night. The bathrooms apparently received their last coat of paint shortly after the change. The swimming pool has seen better days (there is no plaster on the ceiling, no counter-current system, etc.), the small children's pool could have been left out, the water was almost colder than in the large pool. Unfortunately, the price of the restaurant evening buffet (€38 pp) does not correspond to what is on offer. A la carte is similar, it is simply bland with many details that were negatively noticeable. (Baked potatoes served without sour cream, pizza is frozen, no children's menu offered despite children at the table). The taste is also rather below average, for example salt is mainly used for seasoning... and not much else. In any case not appropriate for the price. What should be positively highlighted is the apparently newly installed children's playground in the inner courtyard, which has good equipment. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. I know all of this much better from Dorint Hotels, which is why I didn't expect a situation like this. Too bad we won't stay here again.

Sauna area was not as advertised. One of two saunas was broken. Everything is clearly getting old. Showers there are only lukewarm. Rooms are good, big, tidy.

We were there with a tour group of around 50 people. Check-in went quickly and smoothly. The staff at the reception were extremely friendly.

The hotel is a bit old, but is gradually being renovated. Despite the stains on the carpets, it is a very well-maintained hotel. These carpet stains didn't bother me or my husband. The rooms are not in the main house, but in the separate houses that are connected to each other underground. Or you can reach it via the beer garden. The service is great, very friendly even in the event of mishaps. The only thing that bothered me a little was the horrendous price for a bottle of water in the room. The parking space at €11 a day is also really steep. Maybe think about it again ☺️. And the toilet bowl in the bathroom, which was a little too low, wasn't really a big deal either. The lighting concept in the bathroom also needs to be reconsidered. I found it very dark. Otherwise we were satisfied, the breakfast buffet was very good, there was everything your heart could desire. The food itself in the hotel is also highly recommended. Simply delicious. A special thanks to Ms. Hiltmann. They were simply great. We have rarely met such a hotel manager 😄. If we come back to Garmisch, we will go back to the Dorint Sporthotel.

Wine spritzer 0.2 for €6.9 borders on a rip-off times three. What's more, it has no mineral water taste.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The investment backlog in all parts of the building is obvious. Most carpets need to be replaced because cleaning is no longer possible. Tiles are missing on the stairs to the indoor swimming pool. Almost everywhere needs to be painted. The location of the hotel is great with a view of the ski jump and Zugspitze etc. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The wellness area is very good. The additional costs (€11.00/day) for the underground car park are excessive.

The Dorint Sporthotel Garmisch-Partenkirchen seems to have left a very positive impression, especially in terms of cleanliness and room quality. However, the stay was quite expensive, especially for one night without breakfast. The breakfast with an additional charge of 25€ per person and the additional fee for the garage are highlighted as negative points. The bar area gets positive mention, with a good selection and friendly service. It's a shame that the spa wasn't used as this might have made the stay more enjoyable.

The stay was very nice. The food is good, especially the breakfast has a very large selection of high quality. The service is top. The hotel room "apartment" is great in terms of size and layout, but it's just getting a bit old. Highly recommended.

To be honest i only liked the location of the hotel no one will help you with your luggage My room was not cleaned for three days even when i went to the reception and told them to tell house keeping to clean the room they didn’t and i told the at least just take the garbage and give me new towels also no buddy showed up

Originally a great hotel that is getting very old. Stained and worn carpets and sofa and some obvious construction sites (e.g. dripping water from the ceiling, etc.). For us the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Breakfast for 25 euros is definitely not worth it. There is a large selection, but the quality does not correspond to this price (some of the bread comes from the day before). The staff is very friendly. The location is great with a view of the Olympic ski jump and the Zugspitze.

We were there three nights. Of course the hotel is getting old and you could list deficiencies here, some of which I'm surprised would be easy to eliminate to leave a better impression and you would generally have to start with the renovation. Price/performance is not right, the carpets in the hallways and in the room are worn out. Everything is a bit old... The swimming pool was clean and very large for swimming. The breakfast is very good and the atmosphere there is good and the service is friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the price for one night with breakfast is not justified overall.

As many people write here, the hotel is very outdated. And Dorint's response is always to renovate. The only question is when. Check-in is only possible from 4:30 PM. Which is a ridiculous time. At 4 p.m. the lobby was full of people waiting. The rooms still needed to be cleaned. Would I go here again? No, not even after the renovation.

A beautiful and vast resort with multiple sports facilities, including a tennis court, indoor swimming pool and yoga room. We are indulged in the holiday atmosphere and the beer garden is good too. Originally we reserved an family apartment for 4 people but instead were offered with two double rooms which is OK for us except in different building. We urged them to manage to put us in the same building. The interior of the room is spacious, and the aged bar showed that it was originally designed as an apartment. However, decorative panels were installed to cover the original kitchen sink and stove. We experienced two power outages, which were strange because we didn't turn on all the lights or use any appliances that used electricity. Thanks to the staff for the quick response to check the fuse and the power switch. Overall, the interior was clean and suitable for an overnight stay. The cost for overnight parking was higher than our expectation which standed at 11 EUR. We didn't have the dinner buffet also for its high charge. Instead we ordered pizzas to take back to our room, which was delicious and the staff were friendly to offer us enough plates and utensils and tell us to just leave it in the room when checking out. All buildings including the front desk and restaurant are connected through a underground pass which is good in rainy days, except for the trouble to take 2 time elevators and a few stairs. It should be renewed as some slopes to facilitate the barrier-free accessibility, considered for guests with wheelchair or large luggages. The aging carpet showing stained shall be replaced too. They've offered a wide variety and rich items for breakfast all you can eat. So still I would recommend this hotel considering its location and price compared to nearby accommodations.

So many little things done completely wrong. At the end of this review I will list all of them and I also gave the manager the same information. So generally the employees there don’t appear to have any interest in customer service or running a good hotel, for them it’s just a job and we (the customer) are just not really important. On top of that the facility is really old, the rooms are very old in terms of style and quality. And in the end, the food and drink is broadly under quality and expensive which is a poor combination. However, the wellness and spa area is really great and the location is perfect. So here are all the problems. We were a group of 6 (3 rooms) and had the same thing across different rooms. 1. Room has a kettle but no coffee or mugs or anything to use with the kettle 2. Room has a wine bottle opener but no wine glasses 3. There’s no bathrobe or slippers in the room so you have to walk to the spa in your bathing suit. Or fully dressed and get changed there (weird) 4. There’s only one towel per person. But a lot of empty storage space for extras. Upon checkin there were NO towels. 5. The pillows were yellow and lumpy. 6. We ordered a lunch pack instead of breakfast which was one white bread sandwich with a piece of cheese, apply and a Joghurt. Really sub-par 7. At 7:30 they Gardner decided to wake us all up with his truck and start cutting bushes with a trimmer. After being yelled at he went away. 8. A juice costs 6 euros and you can only pay with card on a minimum 10 euro purchase. When we paid with cash the bartender had no change. Absolutely ridiculous, even with EC card, minimum purchase. 9. Majority of staff don’t speak German or English very well. 10. The fried eggs we ordered at breakfast on day 2 was microwaved… absolutely disgusting. We had to reorder our fried eggs actually fried which took quite a long time. 11. Breakfast is generally low quality, with cost saving ingredients. Scrambled egg from powder, fruit without taste, cheap meats, old coffee machine etc. 12. Parking gate was broken, car was stuck in parking for a while as we debated costs. 13. We were surprised with city tax of 12 euros even though booking.com said all taxes included. In the end, this is my second time here. Last time in 2022 it was ok. Now it’s NOT ok. And I feel like this hotel should be converted to holiday homes and just close the hotel part because these business clearly isn’t striving. But the older clientele 70+ seemed very happy.

Great atmosphere in a cute “mountain village”! Perfect for young, sporty families!

The condition of the carpets is clearly worth mentioning, but I think the dog owners are also not entirely uninvolved. In our room, as soon as we entered The smell of dogs in the room wasn't great. But we weren't impressed by that. Tip for you, create rooms on the ground floor that are intended exclusively for dogs.

Nice location, but that's almost all. The staff are hard-working and the waiters are very friendly. The rooms and the whole hotel are really getting old. You can find defects everywhere. From the room where the boxes hardly open, not so nice carpets, tiles that are missing in the indoor pool, and so on. You have to pay for parking... The location is great and 4 stars for the staff and service. -5 stars for hotel and price....

I will not recommend the hotel, too expensive, basic for the service, rooms, parking etc.

Nice location, very nice and attentive staff, room was tidy and clean, very good and rich breakfast, negative actually only parking fees, according to the statement the underground car park costs, we parked outside the underground car park, but the costs are the same, so please park in the Communication. All in all, I would give the Dorint in Garmisch-Partenkirchen 4 out of 5 stars. The hotel itself is already getting old. Renovation backlog is probably the right word here. It exudes the charm of the late 90s or early 2000s. Nevertheless, we would book again at any time, even as a family (4 people). We were guests for 4 days. A new playground was built or modernized for the very little ones. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. All "residential" houses are connected to each other via a tunnel to the reception + restaurant (main building), SPA and underground car park. This is ideal, especially in bad weather. The breakfast is varied and very good. We optionally booked it on site. There are several tennis courts, a swimming pool and a GYM available. The hotel is located on the eastern edge of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, about 3 km from the center, and is therefore in a very quiet location. From our room we had an almost unobstructed view of the ski jump. The Partnachklamm is very easy to reach on foot. What should be highlighted is the service in the hotel and the extremely friendly and very helpful staff. We would like to see the hotel and the rooms renovated soon, but we are already looking forward to seeing you again!

The location is good and our dog had access to a terrace with a "garden" in a large comfortable room. Otherwise the price-performance ratio is simply not right. Everything is in need of renovation and is really getting old and everything there is just way too expensive.

Wonderful hotel with a beautiful setting. Great access to the Olympic Stadium and gorge. Easy to walk and easy to access with a car. Accommodations are relaxing, clean, and spacious. Our golden retriever enjoys it, too. Breakfast buffet is very nice. The only negative was the restaurant's dinner buffet which was costly and very bland - definitely not worth the price. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby.

The hotel is getting old and in need of renovation. Our room was outdated, the bathroom from another era. In addition, there was a stained carpet, stains on the bed sheet and the entire bed linen was full of dark, short hairs. We left the hotel straight away.

Nice rooms, apartment kitchens were very poorly equipped, after we let them know it was partially delivered. The cleaners don't keep an eye on it. The spa and sports area is very nice.

We can only recommend it. Been there more than 10 times and not once disappointed. Experience for young and old, with or without children, with a cat, mouse or dog... everyone will feel good

Overall impression: run down, careless, in need of renovation There was mold in every nook and cranny, peeling plaster, broken furniture and old mattresses were still in the hallway after 3 days, there was mold in the wellness area and most of the lights were broken. Price per night absolutely not justified. A pity. Not again and not recommended.

Nice resort, it's just a pity that parking costs extra (there are not many free places), i.e. plus 10 euros per car.

Unfortunately I don't have much good things to say about this hotel. The hotel has a good and rich breakfast, a very nice and courteous receptionist and a good location. Unfortunately, these were all the positive points. It is assumed that this is a 4 star hotel from a large chain. But you receive what is probably the oldest object in the chain with massive defects Our vacation started out really disastrous and could only be made bearable by complaining everywhere. A big thank you goes to the head of the reception, who was able to “save” it with her friendliness and options! In retrospect, we are hardly surprised why there are so few and very artificial pictures of the hotel on the Internet. The description raises expectations and anticipation - but on site it is more than sobering. It all started with a small hotel village. There was no mention of that anywhere. Nor does it mean that you have to travel halfway around the world with suitcases or generally for breakfast. If that had been known, we would have had different expectations. Unfortunately, the first impression of the facility and room was not any better. Everything is getting pretty old and seems dreary and loveless. The room was also pretty dirty. The highlight was a board under the mattress. Which was supposedly forgotten to remove because the previous guest liked to sleep hard. Unfortunately, you could see that it was there because the box on the bed was already cracking. After complaining to the travel agency, tour guide and on site, we received a new room - the "showroom". Well, that was it at first glance - clean, modern, new. The longer we lived in the room, the more the defects became apparent. Writing everything would go beyond the scope. The worst thing for me was the poor lighting and the catastrophic electrical system. It was almost always dark in the room, whether with or without light. The lights constantly flickered and the built-in spotlight in the shower was hanging loosely on the cable. As I said, there are even more defects here that can be overlooked, but which greatly reduce the appearance and well-being. In order to raise this facility back to a 4 star level you will probably need several million euros. It's really a shame to pay so much money for a vacation and then be happy that you're only in the room to sleep. We saw new beds and mattresses being delivered every day. Something's going on. As the saying goes, better late than never. I could write so much more here, but that's just beyond the scope. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the hotel in good conscience and would have liked to have read such honest reviews in advance. We also can't understand all the excellent comments and wonder whether we have too high a standard for a 4 star hotel. Our vacation would certainly have been better remembered with other accommodation. Unfortunately, this stay always leaves him with a bitter aftertaste.

We spent a very nice holiday at the Dorint Hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The hotel is a bit old, but is already being renovated. That didn't bother us. It is well equipped, clean and tidy. It is located on the outskirts of town in a quiet location. We had a nice, large room with a terrace and a fridge. The beds were very comfortable. There is an indoor pool, a sauna area and a large fitness studio that can be shared free of charge. The staff is very friendly and gave us lots of tips for excursions. The breakfast buffet is unsurpassed: it offers a huge selection, everything is very tasty. There is a lot to discover and do in the area and there are many lakes. We would love to come back again :-)

Chic hotel Nice service The sauna master is 10/10 friendly, relaxed and happy to do an extra round. We liked the all-round package! Location very good, 10 minutes walk to the Patnachtklamm. Traveling as a 9-person hiking group. The rooms were perfect and well laid out.

Everything about this was great, the breakfast was amazing and the people who work there are extremely helpful. Although it was hard to get the included WiFi, everything else was great, as I said. If I ever travel to Germany again, I'll stay at this location again because, truly, it was that great. :)

A historic hotel that retains its old style and old furniture in Garmisch. The service is very bad if you do not monitor them. The manager is very helpful. The swimming pool and sauna are free. You will not miss the swimming pool. The location of the hotel and the view are beautiful. For lovers of old and historical hotels. Parking is a sum.

Nice hotel, clean and friendly staff. Some rooms can only be reached via several flights of stairs. So not really suitable for people with mobility problems. As a tip for the hotel, our mattresses needed replacing, maybe we were unlucky. And there is a nice beer garden. (See picture)

Good hotel with large apartments. Breakfast was great, the hotel bar and hotel beer garden were also very nice. The hotel complex with various houses, all of which are connected underground and can all be reached dry-footed, gives the feeling of a park. The ski jump and Partnach Gorge are within walking distance.

Super clean, spacious rooms. Service is good and fast. Food tastes great. You can get to pretty much all the excursion destinations in no time! Look directly at the ski jump from the room. We will come back!

Went there for 2 people for a week in September. Former top furniture completely worn out!!! Carpets in the room and the entire hotel are unreasonably full of stains and some are probably decades old!!! One mattress in the double bed is almost new and the other is only half as high with a hollow and side slope!!! Bathroom quite OK. Staff clean certain areas well. Except for the bathroom, basement lighting in the rooms. Dinner only for 37 euros per person!!! Drinks too expensive... e.g. a beer 0.5 / 6.50 euros etc. Breakfast GOOD and plentiful if there early enough. Front desk people 50/50. Bookings via Booking, people 2nd class. If you're looking for the 80s, this is a great insider tip. *Location* and peace of mind top.

The hotel has a typical Bavarian charm and is very conveniently located. The city center and sights (Olympic ski jump, Partnachklamm, etc.) are within walking distance. The rooms are quaint and clean. A big drawback, however, are the unair-conditioned rooms (at 28° outside temperature and facing south, it was almost unbearable); the door and windows could not be tilted for ventilation. The staff is very nice and accommodating, the service is quick and good. The hotel offers a very good breakfast. The food in the hotel restaurant is available à la carte or a changing buffet, which is also very tasty. In addition to many activities in and around Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Partnachklamm, Höllentalklamm, Zugspitze, Alpspitze, etc.), the hotel offers a fitness and spa area. Parking is available at the hotel, but is subject to a fee other than described on the booking portal. On the whole a nice hotel, which is a bit old, but is ideal for a short break or hiking holiday.

Fantastic place for the family and easy trip to nearby attractions. Huge, quality room and the gym and pool were a bonus we didn't plan on but used quite a bit. Would for sure recommend and go back.

The wellness area was quite nice so far. Outdoor area not well maintained. It was very loud in the sauna area, a group of young men were talking very loudly, unfortunately there were no employees on site.

We stopped in and took a seat in the beer garden. But I would have expected more from a hotel with such a name. We had to go in to call a waitress, and after about 10 minutes someone finally came and took our order.

It's certainly getting old, it's being renovated - but you've rarely seen such friendly staff - whether at the reception, in the breakfast room, in the wellness area - always super friendly. It's easy to ignore the negative things

Great location to relax on n Sauna & Whirlpool

The hotel is okay so far but the prices for food and drinks are not justified at all. A 0.75L still water, which costs just under 60 cents net, is sold here for €7.90. A coke €5.30. A dry tarte flambée costs just under €13. For these prices the standard would have to be a lot higher!!

Extra charge of 20 euros to use the kitchen which doesn't even have a frying pan... and they don't tell you in advance

Hotel quietly located on a hill, great view of the ski jump and mountains. 40min walk to popular shopping street in the center. Lives up to its reputation of being a sports hotel. Spacious pool (loveless baby pool), large gym. Tennis court indoor and outdoor. Table tennis table. Underground parking 11€/day extra. Sunbathing area unkempt, lawn not mowed, plastic loungers without cushions lying all over the place. Not inviting. The plaster is peeling off everywhere, we can confirm the problem with the tattered carpets. In the comments it has been answered for 4 years that it is being renovated. Just doesn't make a good impression for a 4 star Dorint with prices of €250/night. Playground available but still closed. The underground passages are practical, but could be better designed. Apartment nice and big, comfortable hard mattresses, pillows too flat. Rocked carpets here too. Old-fashioned bathroom, but clean and serves its purpose. Toilets are at medieval heights, guests with knee/back problems have a challenge here. Kitchenette poorly equipped (2 pots with a lid, very small coffee cups, no cutting board or bread knife, etc.). Room noisy, you could hear the ventilation system in the other rooms, which was very annoying at night. Daily changing gourmet buffet 35€/person or snack menu for the beer garden. 3 children's meals that have not changed. We preferred to eat in the numerous restaurants in town, as you couldn't just eat a schnitzel. Extremely friendly reception Check in. This lady alone saved the stars here. You feel welcome and heard. Of course, this staff can't help the shabby appearance. General staff great in the pool area too. Stay was ok, but not fair for the price. Take the reviews seriously, we were hoping “it can’t be that bad”. Unfortunately yes. It has massively untapped potential, which is a shame.

Good family place, service was good. Liked the pool and playground convenient to zugspitze and amenities in town. Don't forget the underground tunnels in the rain. They connect to all buildings and the garage.

Ms Hilmann is very helpful, nice and takes care of you, she is 100% in her element and supported me with all my questions. Thanks for that! The rest of the staff was okay. Hotel in a very good location. Food breakfast & dinner very good. The furnishings of the rooms could have been a little newer - as well as the carpets. Gym very good - everything you need is there. Solid and clean hotel in a great environment/location - divided into several individual houses - not a large single hotel complex. Ideal for families and dog owners. Staff is super friendly and very accommodating. There is plenty of choice for food of very good quality.

The Dorint Sporthotel in Garmisch is, as the name suggests, a sports hotel. With a beautiful view of the ski jump and the Zugspitze. There are many opportunities for sporting activities. Be it an indoor or outdoor tennis court, a spacious fitness studio that leaves nothing to be desired (by the way, courses are also offered), a swimming pool with a children's corner, a sauna area (the hotel's own sauna master does very good infusions), which not every hotel has has. Several saunas, steam bath, plunge pool, whirlpool... bicycle garage, ski storage room... etc. For younger guests there is a playroom, a playground, and a toddler pool next to the beer garden and in the swimming pool. In the evening the bar opens, where you can treat yourself to a nightcap with draft beer or cocktails. Regarding gastronomy, the food is offered in buffet form. The range of dishes is wide and very, very tasty. Special requests and food intolerances are also catered for. The rooms are very spacious and clean. If you don't want to explore the area on foot you can rent an e-scooter. There are 4 of them available next to the beer garden. There are probably more that I haven't discovered yet. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would go to this hotel again at any time and can only recommend it!

The best reception in a hotel I have ever experienced. Friendly, competent, attentive, warm. Unfortunately I didn't remember the lady's name. The next morning she was still in the breakfast room and had an overview there too. Just great.

Very friendly and helpful staff all around, especially Ms. Hillmann and Mr. Squat. Very extensive and rich breakfast buffet, also buffet in the evening - cheaper if you reserve in advance. Child friendly hotel. The facility is a bit older but everything - especially the rooms - is very clean. Good sports offer.

Room did not meet expectations, price/performance was not justified. The carpet needs to be replaced throughout the building (room, hallway, etc). Good central point to the Zugspitze. Effort on the part of the reception to respond to my dissatisfaction. Cleanliness also questionable. I decided to leave early.

Underground conditions, price/performance absolutely not justified, renovation needed in every nook and cranny. Service staff courteous and attentive. Food cannot be rated as we left early. Unfortunately, room photos are misleading.

As always, it depends on what you value: the rooms are very large, the dog had access to a terrace with a huge, well-kept garden (see photo). Beds and mattresses are in the upper league. We are less interested in older furniture, televisions and bathrooms; we primarily use the rooms for overnight stays. I have a mite allergy, but didn't have any problems despite the carpet. I know that differently, unfortunately also from newer hotels. This means that it is clean, even if it may not always look that way. Restaurant and service good; If you want, you can have a very nutritious breakfast with the selection. The combination of sports and dog-friendliness is so outstanding that we can only give it a 5/5 overall (also with regard to the P/L ratio).

We spent a wonderful weekend at Dorint. Best service, delicious food, spacious room with a wonderful view from the balcony. The entire staff, from the boss to the waiter, is super nice and accommodating. If you need something, it will be taken care of immediately. Highly recommended hotel

Hotel is in a great location, 20min walk into town. Staff are very helpful, food and beer a great and not to bad on price.

Hotel that has come in your years. Unfortunately not very clean rooms (strange hairs in the bed). Breakfast was quite good, but unfortunately much too crowded.

A huge structure, partly underground, with an alpine, spacious construction that you are no longer used to. Sure, it's getting old, but it's been well maintained and renovated. Here you will find a sauna area, a large indoor pool where you can actually swim and indoor and outdoor tennis courts. The service is top: the only drawback: the beds sag a bit and the pillows are not very comfortable. Tip: from the sauna area you go outside and if you then take the small stairs around the corner to the right and sit on the small bench you will be surprised by an amazing panorama :-)

Centrally located - easy parking - decent rooms. Nice pool the buildings are connected to each other very practical when it rains. Great playground. Dog friendly - green spaces and poop bags on property. There were food bowls in the room for the dogs and a welcome treat - unfortunately the overnight stay was relatively expensive for the dogs, but at least staying overnight with two large dogs wasn't a problem.

We had a great week of tennis with Edgar Euling. The hotel is beautifully located on the mountain. Great staff very attentive I can only recommend.

Stayed for one night, a two-room room for 4 people. Everything was clean, the equipment of the room was at the level: clean sheets and towels, a normal bath, two TVs, comfortable beds, a balcony, a small refrigerator. The staff is friendly, we were able to check in earlier and leave the room early. The price of the room is only 166 euros for four. From the room you could see the mountains. Very satisfied and recommend!

You have to accept that almost everything is an extra charge these days (breakfast, underground parking, use of the kitchen, etc.) that used to be somehow included. I can't say anything about breakfast, but it can hardly be worth the 25 euro surcharge - I recommend planning early with the numerous cafes in Garmisch (Cafe Berge, Cafe Max). The rooms are indeed a bit old-fashioned - but otherwise that's it for the negatives. The hotel complex is beautifully laid out on a remote hill, so that despite being in the city center it is very quiet and has a great view. The beds were comfortable, the service was very friendly. All in all I can highly recommend the hotel.

We were in the gym and actually wanted to sign a contract. Normally, as a potential new customer, I know that someone takes care of us and shows us around. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We were given the impression that we were inconvenient.

We stayed at the Dorint Hotel for a conference and had a very large room with lots of space, a balcony and a great view of the ski jump :) the conference room (Neuschwanstein) was also very nice. This was well equipped and the anteroom was also ideal for drinks and snacks.

The facility is great. We had a direct view of the Zugspitze. The rooms and furnishings are a bit old. Great breakfast in a cozy atmosphere. We will be back!
