Well, what can I say? Ever since a friend invited us there for dinner, it's been our favorite Italian restaurant. The owner and staff are very friendly. The food and quality are top-notch. There wasn't a single thing that wasn't perfect. Excellent!

Where should I begin...? Giving it a 10-star rating would be too low. We love this restaurant! Nothing comes close to "La Colomba." High-quality food, very friendly staff, and the interiors are very elegantly decorated. They even thought about the acoustic panels... because the acoustics in most restaurants are far too loud. Reservations are a good idea... because the place is usually packed after 6 p.m., and there are usually lots of people at the reception waiting to pick up their orders. That speaks for itself! And my kids only want to eat here. So, an absolute recommendation!

The appetizer with shrimp and smoked salmon was perfectly balanced – fresh, aromatic, and beautifully presented. The pasta with grilled fish and eggplant was not only a visual highlight, but also a real hit in terms of taste. The highlight: the steak. Without exaggeration – one of the best steaks I've ever eaten at an Italian restaurant. Perfectly cooked, beautifully caramelized on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Served with fresh spinach, crispy fries, and a delicious sauce – simply amazing! To finish off, there was a dreamy dessert with ice cream, a chocolate center, and fresh fruit – a sweet and perfect ending. A frequent destination for those hungry after flights in Deckenpfronn. Reservations are easy, even with somewhat flexible group sizes and arrival times. If necessary, a few tables will be combined. The food is good quality, and the price is right. Enzo is happy to bring out something for you to try without adding it to the bill. Gluten-free pizza is actually quite tasty. But unfortunately, it always comes with a very thick crust (a bit doughy and dry). With a thin crust like regular pizza, it would taste much better :) Otherwise, very satisfied.

Worth highlighting is the range of gluten-free pizzas 🍕 and pasta, as well as optionally lactose-free. This costs a little more, but is really valuable for people who have an issue with this. We ate here with friends in the evening. The ambience is modern and invites you to linger. In a cozy atmosphere, we were able to indulge ourselves with Italian cuisine. From the antipasti plate to the dessert, there was absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was perfect as we expected. A great option for people who are allergic to wheat is that there are gluten-free pizzas and pasta, and even ice cream and dessert are gluten-free here. The staff is very friendly and radiates a calm, relaxed atmosphere in which you feel comfortable. We spent a very nice evening here and look forward to seeing you again. Of course there is also a disadvantage. There are very few parking spaces and you may have to wait 15-20 minutes until you find a place to park.

The bread was perfect and the combination of aromatic tomatoes and fresh basil immediately put us in an Italian holiday mood. For the main course we decided on the pasta in cream sauce with porcini mushrooms – a real highlight! The pasta and the creamy sauce harmonized wonderfully with the intense taste of the porcini mushrooms. Every bite was a delight! We were particularly enthusiastic about the seafood plate, which was served with a variety of fresh seafood. The mussels in tomato sauce were simply outstanding – juicy and perfectly seasoned. It was obvious that a lot of love and care was put into the preparation. The service was attentive and friendly, which completed the entire experience. The pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant also contributes to an all-round successful evening. We highly recommend La Colomba and look forward to returning soon to try more delicious dishes!

Absolutely recommended! I have celiac disease and have to eat gluten-free. The restaurant knows this very well and has its own work area and oven for the gluten-free pizzas. I ordered the gluten free Calabrese pizza. She was a dream! I have never found a gluten-free dough like this anywhere. Really extremely tasty and the consistency was perfect! I'm impressed (and so are my gluten-eating companions). For dessert I chose the gluten-free tiramisu. So delicious! And cleverly, the glass for normal tiramisu is different from the gluten-free one - so there can be no confusion. My companions ate with gluten and were absolutely satisfied. We definitely recommend making a reservation as the restaurant seems to be very popular - and rightly so! The employees were super friendly and helpful. We felt completely comfortable 😊

I had now decided to give the restaurant another chance and I have to say, 'La Colomba' took the chance. We were a small birthday party and were all happy with the food served. We had various pizzas, including a gluten-free one, and the pizzas were as you would expect them to be, the dough was crispy and the toppings were good. Only on the truffle pizza one would have liked a little more truffles, the truffle pig was probably already at the weekend. But that was a minor thing, the taste was good. I was pleasantly surprised by the grilled squid, there were two whole fish served, they were well prepared and subtly seasoned, as you would expect with squid. The service was very attentive and yet never intrusive, perfect. We were happy about the grappa and the limonchello as a greeting from the house. We will definitely come back and this time without a five-year break! 😉 We stayed at La Colomba again in August and were not disappointed. The food tasted very good, but the service was not attentive like the last time we visited. Still a recommendation!

The best Italian in the area. We have always enjoyed coming to Oberjesingen for many years. Absolutely top class - even if the prices have been adjusted upwards several times. Others offer significantly less for the same money. So still highly recommended!! Our special preference: fish soup - simply good - tastes like in Sicily.

As always, the welcome is very friendly, the food is typical of an Italian pizzeria Restaurant. All dishes are freshly prepared and are deliciously cooked and delicately seasoned. The Italian flair from the kitchen cannot be denied. One of our friends' children in particular loves this restaurant, because the Columba chef is one of the few chefs who has decided to also offer gluten-free dishes. If you don't have problems with gluten, you don't even notice things like these that are very important to others. The service is friendly and quick, there are some parking spaces in front of the building and a smaller outdoor area in summer. Of course, all meals are also available to pick up.

12 years ago my husband surprised me and took me to La Colomba because I can't eat everywhere because of my celiac disease. We were so excited about the food that we regularly drove 50 km to have a good time. The food, whether gluten-free or normal, has not changed in these 12 years and is always very, very tasty.
