This restaurant is highly recommended; the staff are friendly and clearly enjoy their work. Guests are made to feel welcome. The food is excellent, the meat and side dishes are outstanding and cooked to perfection. We immediately signed up for the breakfast buffet and again for dinner. Keep up the good work, thank you!

The food was delicious (4+) The service was very good and attentive. The ambiance, well, for the price range, you'd really expect more. "Aging" is a bit of a flattery... Many snack bars offer a better ambiance! Something urgently needs to be done here, then it'll earn 5 stars and more, maybe even an insider tip for Bensersiel. The rest of the place is just right, with 5 stars.

The restaurant is a bit dated. The interior is high-quality but dated. It's not very inviting from the outside, but we made a reservation based on the positive reviews. I would recommend making a reservation, as guests of the adjacent hotel also dine here, so seating is limited. The main courses were all delicious and freshly prepared. Fresh local mushrooms and seasonal vegetables were also served here. We liked that the side dishes were served in large bowls. The salad buffet was rather pitiful. While everything was there, the coleslaw and American coleslaw in particular seemed like they came from a can from the supermarket. This was the only minor flaw, however, so we would happily recommend the restaurant.

The restaurant is a bit off the beaten track on a side street, but don't be fooled. The food is excellent, whether you choose the meat platter for two or the fish. The food is amazing and, above all, very plentiful. The value for money is excellent. The staff is friendly and very attentive, and they're always there for a chat. 😀 We've been there three times and would come back anytime.

We ate there three evenings in a row. We had a different menu each night. The portions were generous and delicious each time. The value for money was excellent. We will definitely eat there again on our next vacation.

We went there once as a couple with a dog and once with friends and a dog, and we were absolutely thrilled. The furniture and decor are a bit dated, which detracts from the ambiance, but the food and service more than made up for it. We all had fish, and every single dish was a feast for the eyes as it was served. The taste was absolutely fantastic! We were all blown away and cleaned our plates completely. The various varieties of potatoes took a back seat, as we were simply stuffed. For dessert, some of us had crème brûlée, which almost elicited screams of delight. To top it all off, we had Friesengeist (a traditional German beer) with a little saying, as is only fitting. We had a fantastic (fun) evening and would eat there again anytime 😊

The ambiance is a bit dated, but the very polite and attentive service more than makes up for it. The food has always been delicious and generously portioned on my visits. The crème brûlée is definitely recommended! If I'm ever in Bensersiel again, I'll definitely be stopping by!

Absolutely!!!!! A bit inconspicuous from the outside, but inside: impeccable. The food is top-notch!!! We had pollock in a hazelnut crust – delicious!!! The staff: such friendliness isn't always a given these days. On our next visit, we had a grilled fish pan for two, delicious👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 We couldn't even finish it. The restaurant isn't particularly cozy and is rather functionally furnished. The food is well-prepared and reasonably priced. The menu is straightforward, without any major highlights, as is often the case on the coast. Very friendly, attentive, and fast service. The table and chairs are simple but clean.

Outstanding. No exaggeration. According to the Michelin Guide, definitely worth a visit, if not a detour. Both the cordon bleu and the fish were excellent. If you don't want to go here because of nesting birds or impatience... well, that's your loss. Very friendly staff looked after our well-being. If I absolutely had to find something to improve, it would be the espresso from the fully automatic machine. Nothing beats a portafilter. ;) Final Word: Recommended and deserves full stars.

First, we were turned away without reservations, then my wife and I had to make our own reservations by phone. Several times that evening, no one ever answered the phone, and then they simply hung up. Not on one day, but for three days. Well, what can I say? Unprofessional.

The food was fresh and delicious. The salad buffet was fresh and appealing.

Yes, what a shame. We had hoped for more based on the great comments here on Google. We went in. Our order was taken. When ordering, we explicitly said "no mushrooms, please, I'm allergic"! So far, so good. The food arrived... Unfortunately, my meal contained mushrooms. I sent it back once. The food came again... The mushrooms were removed. Yes, unfortunately, I already have enough trace elements. The end of the story. My companion had already finished eating. My fried potatoes and fish were unfortunately cold! Only the newly served vegetables were crisp and warm. My companion (who relies on a walking frame) asked for the restroom. They were directed directly to the left, down the stairs. A friendly server noticed this and responded. She showed my companion a way to the restroom without stairs. What a waste of money!

A very child-friendly restaurant. You have to find a table without children. Children's dishes and cutlery are available. The outdoor area is safe. The food is excellent. There is also the option of smaller plates. The fish plate for two was so large that we couldn't manage it. Excellent service. It's best to make a reservation after 6 p.m.

The service was friendly. The drinks arrived quickly. Unfortunately, we only received the salad bowls for the buffet upon request. The waiter was a bit overwhelmed, so one of our orders arrived at our table incorrectly, and we had to ask twice to correct it. Unfortunately, the plaice was hard and had probably been in the kitchen for too long. The pollock was good, and so were the frozen nuggets. The prices for the dishes were okay. There was still plenty of seating, but we waited longer for our food than in other restaurants, which were extremely busy. There's still room for improvement.

We spontaneously went to Peter Pan for dinner. The waiter at reception was very friendly, and the fish dish was delicious. The two waiters were very friendly and fulfilled our every wish. We would be happy to come back for dinner.

Upon entering the shop, we were asked, quite rudely, if someone could help us. I asked for a table outside for two adults and a child. Unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation. But the shop wasn't full. Not even a third of the seats were taken, but we had to leave because the kitchen wouldn't be able to keep up. Once inside, never again. Not recommended. The chip shop near us in the Ruhr area is better organized.

The restaurant was almost empty, but families with children apparently prefer to park outside – we were only offered a spot on the cold terrace. Inside: plenty of space, but apparently no warmth for families. Given the freezing cold, a clear case of: thanks, no thanks!

We arrived 1 hour before closing time and although the kitchen was already too busy, we were allowed in and were able to enjoy the super delicious food and were served by the very nice staff

We wanted to go out to eat as a family, an hour before closing time, but unfortunately, we were treated very rudely and asked to leave. So, if you have small children, we'd better avoid the restaurant.

This is our second short break in Bensersiel. After choosing a less-than-great restaurant on the first evening six weeks ago, we ended up at Peter Pan on the second evening. We've eaten there every time since. We really liked the restaurant; the staff is exceptional; everyone is friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious, plentiful, and fairly priced. We feel very comfortable there and will continue to eat there the next time we're in Bensersiel.

The restaurant is excellent. The service is first-class – the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, very tasty, and beautifully presented. The breakfast doesn't offer value for money in terms of quality. The staff, except for one lady, were very unmotivated. Breakfast was booked with a stay at the Aquantis, and we recommend going out for breakfast yourself. Plus, it looks unkempt both inside and out. Sunshine: 🥓 The bacon is amazing 😋

After reading the reviews, we wanted to see for ourselves and went there with great anticipation. Unfortunately, our first impressions put us off going in. My advice to the owner would be to keep the outside clean as well and at least clean the windows of bird droppings.

Some customers complained loudly and even left. The staff should be reconsidered, as the restaurant itself, and especially the good food, deserves good staff. We highly recommend the food. The zander fillet with spinach and potatoes, as well as the rump steak, fries, and salad, were very good.

We are on a short vacation in Bensersiel and discovered the restaurant by chance. It is not located directly at the harbor but rather one street further. My husband had the fish platter, super tasty, and I had the fried plaice fillet with potatoes and mustard sauce. Mega delicious and the mustard sauce was really amazing😋😋. Three thumbs up to the chef. The young man who served us was very nice, funny and also had a chat with us😊 We'll definitely be back. Since we only live an hour away, the next visit won't take too long.

Disappointing breakfast in the Peter Pan restaurant in Bensersiel This morning we had breakfast at the Peter Pan restaurant in Bensersiel and had already made a reservation weeks in advance. We were all the more surprised when no one there knew about our reservation. After some confusion we finally got a table - in hindsight it would have been better if not. For €17.50 per person we would have expected at least a decent breakfast. Instead, there were poor quality baked rolls that tasted closer to a grade 6 - if you were even lucky enough to get some. The rest of the breakfast offerings were similarly disappointing. The coffee was also extremely bitter and hardly drinkable. The staff, including the boss, seemed completely overwhelmed. Many tables had not yet been cleared, so guests had to sit in dirty places. Other guests even had to leave without having accomplished anything because there were simply no seats or breakfast available. Overall our visit was a big disappointment. For the price you would expect significantly better quality and better service. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant.

I was with my wife on New Year's Eve 24. We were able to reserve a table there at very short notice. Very friendly and competent employees who were relaxed even long after the official closing time. The food was also great. In short, everything was perfect. We'll definitely come back. Thanks and greetings.

Very friendly staff. We were able to eat with 6 people without a reservation. However, it is definitely advisable to reserve a table. During the normal season, a table must be reserved. All six of us were very happy with the portion size and would have liked to have had dessert too. However, this no longer fit into our tummies... We would love to come back...

I ate a very tasty steak with mushrooms and onions. Cross on the outside, super delicate on the inside. Fried to perfection. Very tasty seasoned. The mushrooms were also fresh and not from a jar or anything. The food was worth every penny. The staff was also very friendly! All in all it was a very successful evening. Just like a year ago. We were very happy with that too. We have already reserved again.

Super great restaurant. Friendly and funny staff, the food is incredibly good. We went there twice for dinner during the week. Once there was the salmon in a nut crust, the pike perch on wok vegetables and on the second visit there was chicken with curried vegetables. We were actually really looking forward to dessert, but we were so full afterwards that we couldn't do anything else. Very big recommendation from us, we also have to say that this restaurant was the best of all in Bensersiel. Therefore, I can only advise you to reserve a table immediately upon arrival, as Peter Pan is very well booked.

We went there spontaneously today without a reservation. The waitress even granted our request for a table outside. The menu leaves nothing to be desired. We didn't want fish and ordered 2 different schnitzel dishes. The food came relatively quickly, was hot, plentiful and tasted great. We also liked the selection at the salad buffet. Just the possibility of putting together your own salad meets my approval. When the bill came (of course you can calculate it yourself beforehand), the mood was not dampened. People! An absolute insider tip. Recommended. I do not know where to start. Cordon Bleu tender, a dream. The butter vegetables, 8 or 9 types of vegetables with mushrooms, a poem. The fried potatoes would be fried a little more and they would be like mine from home. Portion size completely underestimated and I need a lot to fill me up, and that's saying something. My better half had pork tenderloin with mushrooms. It was super tasty and tender. The service was really friendly, polite and attentive. Price performance is completely okay. Ambience is getting old. But I can live with that really well because I don't eat the furnishings. Enjoy your meal everyone.

We were there 3 times during our vacation. And exactly three times a direct hit. No matter whether fish or meat... absolutely recommended from a culinary point of view. Very nice and courteous service. From the outside it is a bit old and therefore inconspicuous. However, you shouldn't always go by what's on the outside. The food was really great. Price-performance ratio fits. We would love to eat here again on our next vacation. However, you should reserve a table for the main session. Definitely a recommendation from us.

Well, unfortunately I can't give a review. We (my husband and I) wanted breakfast there because there's a sign outside every day that they have a breakfast buffet. Last week at lunchtime we asked if you could just drop by and we were told of course you're welcome. Well, it doesn't seem like we would turn the mail back, sorry, but they won't see us again for this foolishness.

We came without a reservation and were lucky because the people after us were no longer lucky. So: reserve! So about the food, the grilled plate, the tagliatelle with shrimps and wok vegetables were a blast, it tasted great. The service staff love their job and have fun doing it, as can be seen. The food itself came quite quickly and the drinks were very good.
