RESTAURANT PECHHÜTTE in Bad Saarow

We spent a short vacation at the Esplanade and really wanted to escape the stress. Unfortunately, it's not that easy to get a table even as a hotel guest. That day we finally got lucky for 6:30 p.m. We sat in the attic, which unfortunately seemed a bit loveless. We had the feeling that a few tables were quickly set up to accommodate the number of guests. Our young waiter was very friendly and tried to make us feel comfortable, but it seemed a bit rehearsed and lacked a warm touch. After a neighboring guest advised us against veal schnitzel, we decided on the solyanka & pumpkin soup as a starter. Both were a great start. The avocado tomato salad was ok. The oversized decorative salad “bunny ears” were unnecessary and rather strange. The dressing can be improved - a simple yogurt dressing with little taste - that could be better. The chicken/tandoori with bulgur was surprisingly good, with a little more tandoori and spice it would have been great. Our table next door had booked half board and was surprised on the second day with a repeat of day 1. You can do it, the gentlemen still noticed it despite their advanced age. But the most important point is the ambience - we can't give a rating for the lower area.

Half of the restaurant is free, “there won’t be room again for another hour”. And goodbye - never again.

We have been there twice and the burgers are very nice. Service also very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy

Very disappointed...the Wiener Schnitzel was a complete disaster...served completely dry!!! You have to order the side dish separately at a price where you think the side dish is included. The beef tartare as well... 3 small slices of bread that weren't enough... Tartare is served differently and not in a tin cat food tin.. .the egg wasn't served with it either. It is supposedly already mixed in... which you couldn't tell from the taste... Conclusion: not good cuisine and customer deception!!! Enormous prices and no service...customer service grade 5-. Never again !!!!

We visited the Pechhütte restaurant in Bad Saarow on Saturday, August 31st, 2024. The service was very warm, courteous and guest-oriented.😊 We had garlic bagette with chicken as a starter, wild & spicy burger as a main course, and fries as a side dish. The food was excellent, the price ratio was absolutely fine. 🌞 A big compliment to the service and the kitchen. Thumbs up! We'll be back. Kind regards, Beatrice Miska

Went to the pitch hut for the second time today. With great anticipation, the first visit was great. Unfortunately we were disappointed. After being ignored by our waitress for 20 minutes, the food was unfortunately very disappointing. The fries were dripping with oil and were completely unseasoned. The remaining food was carelessly thrown onto the cellar. Unfortunately, the beautiful plates that are available in the Pechhütte don't help either. We won't be coming back again. The service and the food have absolutely deteriorated compared to the first visit, where the shop was very full and we managed to get a table even without a reservation thanks to the efforts of the employees.

We were in the Pechhütte on August 6, 2024 without booking a table and were accepted to have dinner there even though there were a lot of reservations. What was particularly noticeable that evening was the team's good interaction, completing their tasks in a completely calm manner without becoming hectic. We found the ambience and history of the Pechhütte quite good, and all three of us enjoyed the food very well, including the presentation. We got drinks and food promptly. I was here on a Tuesday evening in the summer. There was hardly anything going on, few guests. The staff was very friendly and the food tasted good. The prices were higher than expected, but they are tourist prices for a hotel, so that's acceptable.

Went there spontaneously on the weekend. After a very nice 2-hour steamer trip on the Scharmützelsee, we wanted to take a little break in the Pechhütte, which belongs to the Hotel Esplanade. It was noticeable that 90% of the tables were occupied with reservation signs. However, we still found a table without a sign. After a short wait, a service person came and asked in a harsh tone whether we had even made a reservation. Since we didn't have that, he made it clear to us that he couldn't offer us a table! When we looked there again after about an hour, all the tables were still unoccupied. Well, you ask yourself, what's the point, dear Hotel Esplanade?! Are old GDR habits celebrated here? Do you no longer value external guests? In addition, and it is well known that there have been problems with good staff for some time, you should perhaps check the friendliness of one or the other service person from time to time. Sorry, but we will spend our money elsewhere in the future.

We had reserved a table and when we got there we were seated at a broken table. After we pointed this out, we were just told that it couldn't be repaired. We ordered a starter and a main course. After we had finished with the starter, it wasn't cleared away and the cellar just said when he stood in front of us with our main course, "Oh, hasn't it been cleared yet?". The burger I ordered wasn't very tasty either. The burger bun was soggy, little cheese and the pulled pork was very coarse. When we ordered another drink, it was forgotten and only brought to the table after we asked. Overall it was a disastrous experience for the price and I personally cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Sat at a broken table for a birthday party. None of the dishes met our expectations. Rather poorly warmed ready meals, absolutely overpriced and poor quality. THE service was completely overwhelmed and I was reluctant to pay the bill. Absolutely not recommended. And that as a restaurant in a 4 star hotel.

I'm sorry, but I've eaten better and tastier for the money. The fact that the side dish was served incorrectly at first and the side dish ordered after the main course was already cold didn't really lift the mood. This shouldn't happen when there are only about 10 guests in the restaurant. A pity.

First impression: far too small portions for far too high a price. Second impression: Wow!!! Immediately at the table, absolutely INCREDIBLE delicious and we were full too! It's absolutely worth the money!

Miserable service, you try in vain to get the staff's attention. Food was much, much better years ago. Always check the bill, as we were brazenly foisted with an inexplicable extra portion of fries. HOW AUDIOUS! You definitely won't see us there again, goodbye!

The service was very good. The staff was very friendly. We were also really happy with the ambience. However, the food was expensive. The price-performance ratio is only partially ok. For the citizen alone you pay around €17. You then have to pay another €5 for a side dish. Fresh tomatoes were not on the citizen. The drinks are also quite expensive for very little content. There is only a very small selection of (full) vegetarian dishes. So it was quite ok. However, we won't be coming back again.

Left after 15 minutes. We got the menu and then the waitress wasn't seen again. If it had been full it would have been ok, but there was one table occupied besides us.

Delicious food, value for money...well.

As mentioned here many times… high prices and you expect something in return. But not what we had to experience today. The fact that the degree of grilling of meat can be off, it happens, but all other dishes are also cold to lukewarm allows only one conclusion. For whatever reason, our food sat somewhere too long. That's why the meat has been adjusted to the grill level. It would be nice if the waiter would admit something like that and deal with it professionally. It's nice that my wife was given the new meat and side dishes, but I ate alone and when I asked where my mushrooms were with the game ragout, he said they were in the sauce and I asked him, the two pieces? He then brought me a whole bowl of mushrooms. Unfortunately, I was already finished eating. 😂 In terms of taste, everything here was fine, really good quality. But the time management and handling of the complaint was anything but professional. And that with a bill for two people of 135 €. An espresso or schnapps or dessert on the house wouldn't have particularly brightened my mood. But that wasn't even taken into consideration for this sum. Or rather for the entire process. It's a shame... it should be mentioned again that everything tasted very good here, but the processes and the management (service) were only worth three stars.

That was below the belt today. We came to Bad Sarow for a spontaneous weekend. Sleep in the former Arosa Hotel. However, we wanted to try something outside to eat. We have rarely been too disappointed as guests. I had to drink my Aperol Spritz out of a mason jar. The strange chicken leg dish with limp skin and raw baked potatoes was a complete disaster. I don't understand the entire system here. Can't see any line of the kitchen. The veal schnitzel came to the table in two large, not tasty pieces. The potato salad was so mustardy that it didn't work well with the schnitzel. The acid was completely missing. The allergens are also wrong. As a hotel manager I would be ashamed of this number. The service, who went to great lengths, canceled the inedible part. Thank you. Location great. Book an independent catering consultant and have them work out a concept for the beautiful restaurant. There is definitely more to it!!!!

I ate there on Friday with 8 friends, the service was good, and the food overall was too. Since no bread was included with the simple salad, which was a bit overpriced in my opinion, my wife asked for some bread, but was charged for it. There were 2 measly slices of baguette for 1.50 euros. That really wasn't appropriate. Then we discovered that the menu on site didn't match the one online. We were told that this was only new today, of course. They come to eat every year and will probably choose a different location next year. Thanks for the baguette. LG Anke

I am so disappointed! We have been coming here for 12 years, but today nothing was recognizable from the previous pitch hut. “Wurscht&Bier” is still written on the wall, but there is no sausage anymore. According to the staff, the menu was changed exactly today. I had the cold cucumber bowl (far too salty) and the tandoori chicken (already named as a "salad" when served, even though it's supposed to be a main course). The chicken was not edible because of the spices. Positive: The staff was always super nice. However, one person also said that he/she would no longer work here. Such a shame!!! Pechhütte was great! Please change that again!

Today we had lunch in the Pechhütte, Unfortunately, that wasn't really good! The pork tenderloin au four really had nothing to do with this dish. I want to put it like this: “Pour boiled sour on it and bake it with cheese and let it cool down.” Citizen showed little expertise “Pullet pork?” Cauliflower casserole €18 in a compote bowl? I think the best was that Currywurst, however, is available next door for a third! 16€ At the next table there was a fly in the soup and the waitress asked if she should change the soup??? Better next door than visiting the beer garden.

Yesterday we had dinner at the Pechhütte and had a great evening. The food (burgers with grilled cheese, truffle fries) was absolutely delicious, as well as very nice service and a great ambience. We will definitely come back and can recommend the restaurant to everyone.

Beautiful restaurant close to the lake and harbor. 4 stars for the food because the quality and quantity were good, but the price was way too expensive. 3 stars for the service because we had to wait for a very, very, very long time, the service staff didn't understand German well and this resulted in errors in the order. 5 stars because it's just beautiful here.

I recommend, good fries and burgers

I had dinner here with my wife on June 7, 2024. The food was very good! Great seasoning! I had the bratwurst, which was really tasty, and my wife had a burger. Also great! The service was quick and friendly! Finally, the waitress spread the remaining burger sauce over my wife. But as compensation there was a drink on the house! It's all ok! Definitely worth a visit! Was here as a returning guest of the hotel. Food is so bad it is offensive. They served us waffles which still were deep frozen half way. Super expensive steak was not pan fried, but seemingly cooked on the low heat. It was soggy, not very nice smelling boiled beef. High price, long wait. This place is only here because of the lack of options around. If you can, avoid at all costs, there are a lot of spa hotels who manage to put delicious foods to their guests. We were served an uneatable food for high price, disprrspectful totally.

The food was delicious but the waiting time was unacceptable. It's not much fun to wait more than an hour for your food.

We ate there on May 25th, 2024, nice restaurant, friendly service and then that was it for the positive. 50% of the menu is overpriced snack food. I covered one of the castles with bacon; you could also have put a piece of cardboard on top. You have to pay extra for fries. Children's food is not shown on the menu. When asked whether it would be possible to order a simple hamburger, the answer was no, there were chicken nuggets for children. Chicken nuggets for children are 2 lumps of chicken (approx. 200g) breaded and fried with chips and peas so far so good, but the meat was not cooked through but still raw. We complained about this to the service, the service got smart in the kitchen and the answer was “there is no other way”. No apology, no alternative, no discount but charged in full. Parts of the restaurant name were fulfilled - bad luck At first they didn't want to accept our reservation because it was supposedly full. When we arrived there were many tables available. We made reservations for a group of 9 and ordered a variety of dishes. The pork fillet was hard and chewy, as was the paddy of the spicy burger, which was pressed together into a solid mass. The burger was supposed to be served medium, but it was well done, which was a shame at €18 without a side dish. The entrecôte was an iPhone-thick slice of meat estimated at 100-150 grams, really outrageous for €38. When asked, there was an inadequate answer from the waiter that pre-prepared food was delivered. The chef countered with a rude and snippy manner when we commented that this meat is usually 4-6 cm thick and 300-550 g, that Wikipedia was not the correct choice of information, without taking into account that with 4 men on Table, 3 of which are meat eaters, also offer experiences. Finally there was a second slice of meat. But I don't go to the restaurant as a group and eat in stages and I don't expect convenience with the prices. The lady in service was super nice and professional, unfortunately too early in the evening, otherwise only she would have personally received a tip. Despite the poor food and the cheeky waiter, €20 went into the tip pot. A thank you for this came from the said unfriendly waiter. We couldn't pay for our parking tickets with a card and didn't have any cash, so we had to go to the restaurant again. The waiter’s statement: “We tell nice guests straight away that we can validate the parking tickets” Conclusion: too expensive, too little, bad cuisine, with luck you get the right service. Unfortunately we forgot to take photos. It doesn't require repetition!

The food was super delicious. The portion sizes, just right! The problem with my celiac disease was also no problem and was mastered confidently. Gladly again, even if the prices are a bit high, but it works here and the food was completely worth the price.

Burger buns are too small for the size of the burgers. Prices are too high due to the Hotel Esplanade.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. We had burgers with fresh ingredients and creative creations that were really good. We were only surprised that the rather expensive burgers had no side dishes and fries were charged additionally. We think around €20 for a burger and fries is pretty rich, although we're willing to pay more for quality. Nevertheless, the burgers were tasty and some burger restaurants can take a page from quality and creativity.

Despite the crowded restaurant, we got the table we had recently reserved. Despite being overwhelmed, the staff was friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and plentiful. We liked it.

The slightly more expensive prices are justified by the top quality and large portions. We were pleasantly surprised.

Great view, but that's about it. Our burgers were great, but unfortunately they didn't taste good at all. Way too much sauce so the bottom bun was completely soggy. Even the mayo and ketchup pots were swimming in the sauce. One burger full of fatty meat, the other completely burnt. We had three different types of fries, all fried differently. Cappuccino €5, an espresso €4 and it felt like only the bottom of the cup was covered. Just under €70 for two people is a lot if you only had a burger and coffee.

We've been going to the Esplanade Hotel in Bad Saarow for 20 years, but unfortunately I'm always disappointed by the food at the Pechhütte. Certainly a good place to eat burgers for meat eaters. Anything else is not recommended. The taste wasn't a hit, I had the fish pot, with very little fish and much overcooked tomato vegetables. Even the truffle fries were poor and everything was way too expensive. Not recommended for non-meat eaters. Only the location is good, with a view of the lake.

Unfriendly is a good way to put it. You get the impression that children are not welcome here. Not recommendable. Especially when the tattooed lady is on shift.

Sitting here right now and absolutely love it! Food tastes good. The wine from Austria is perfect and the service couldn't be better.

Actually a very nice location with friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes for the food. The food itself was tasty but too expensive. A bratwurst with warm potato salad without any other side dishes for €23 is excessive. A bottle of sparkling water for €9 is outrageous! This cannot be explained by increased prices or higher VAT. 2 or 4 years ago almost everything in this restaurant was 50% cheaper.

Very friendly and competent service, the lady was really great :) The food was very tasty, we were completely satisfied. The excellent service and high-quality cuisine also justify the prices. We'd love to come back! The pulled pork burger and the truffle fries are terrific!

Der Abend war nicht mehr so ganz jung, von außen sah das Restaurant einladend aus, also nix wie rein da. Aber da wir Zwei nicht reserviert hatten und auch keine Hausgäste waren, wurden wir abgewiesen. Bei vielleicht 20 unbesetzten Tischen ein seltsam Gefühl, das an Zeiten erinnerte, als das Geld noch aus Aluminium war. Aber gut, das ist es nicht mehr, also haben wir unser Glück woanders versucht und unser Geld woanders ausgegeben. Ob wir wiederkommen? Ich denke nicht.

Coole Mischung aus Rustikal und Modern. Immer wieder lecker, nur sehr schade, dass der Fitness-Burger aus der Karte verschwunden ist 😥.

Absolute Empfehlung... am liebsten im ruhigen Obergeschoss... und dann lecker genießen. Plätze reservieren ist zu empfehlen. ...leider steht der Fitnessburger nicht mehr auf der Karte... aber genügend ähnlich leckere Alternativen.

Überteuerte Kaffeepreise für Produkte aus Vollautomaten und keine Auswahl an dazu passend warmer Milchalternativen (Mandel müsste man schon echt mögen, aber dann nur kalt…? - wie wärs mit Hafer?) Wir sechs haben unsern Kaffee da lieber beim goldenen M getrunken.

Kann Essen, Service nicht beurteilen, ein Blick in die Speisekarte hat uns bei den völlig überzogenen Preisen gereicht, um hier nicht Essen zu gehen. Also ein Rat, schaut vorab in die Online-Speisekarte und macht Euch ein Bild.

Wir sind immer im Hotel Esplanade und gehen sehr gerne dort Essen. Haben auch schon den Roomservice genutzt und was aus der Pechhütte zukommen lassen.

Wir sind ohne Reservierung am Montag Nachmittag hin. Leider bekamen wir nur einen Platz Nahe Ein-/Ausgang. Hat daher sehr gezogen und war frisch. Ich hatte einen Salat, wo Zutaten gefehlt haben. Als ich darauf hinwies habe ich ein extra Schälchen mit Oliven in Öl bekommen... keine Entschuldigung. Mein Freund hatte einen Burger, der geschmeckt hat aber für fast 24 Euro viel zu teuer ist. Auch mein Salat für fast 18 Euro war viel zu überteuert! Einmal da, nicht nochmal...

Essen OK aber einfach überteuert! - 23€ für einen „so lala“ Burger - 9€ für eine Flasche Wasser (ernsthaft?) - 15€ Trüffelpommes teuer & leider nicht gut Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Würden nicht noch mal wiederkommen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, ein guter Service! Schöne Location am See. Etwas schwierig zu finden (auf dem Hotelgelände). Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden. Besonders bemerkenswert war, dass ich beim kurzfristigen reservieren in der Personalabteilung des Hotels gelandet bin. Die Frau hat sich hervorragend bemüht und sich um die Reservierung im Restaurant gekümmert, sowie auch beim erneuten anrufen geholfen das Restaurant zu finden. Der Kaiserschmarrn ist aus unserer Wahrnehmung nicht zu empfehlen.

Tolles Essen-super Service- gemütliches Ambiente, direkt am see

Sehr schönes Restaurant und leckeres Essen. Muss man besucht haben in Bad Saarow.

Wir waren schon sehr oft im dazugehörigen Hotel Esplanade und bei jedem Aufenthalt hatte die Pechhütte geschlossen. Daher kannten wir nur das OVino Restaurant was sehr gut ist. Wir hatten uns gefreut dass die Pechhütte dieses Mal geöffnet war. Allerdings sind wir sehr enttäuscht. Das PREIS-LEISTUNGS-Verhältnis stimmt hier in keiner Weise. Mein Mann hatte einen Burger mit Pommes für stolze 23,50 Euro und ich den Salat für 21,50 Euro. Der Burger war ok, aber dem Preis nicht gerecht. Mein Salat war die reinste Enttäuschung. Bei einem Preis von 21,50 Euro erwarte ich schon ein Salat, der optisch als auch von der Größe ein bisschen mehr hergibt. Kleiner grüner Salat mit übermäßig vielen Tomaten ( ich hatte keinen Tomatensalat bestellt). Einfache Vinegrette und 3 Stück paniertes Hühnchen, was kalt war. Kein Brot vom Haus dazu. Wir hatten noch jeder zwei Getränke und sind mit 75 Euro raus gegangen. Da stimmt was nicht. Völlig überteuert und satt war ich von dem Salat nicht. Schade aber das nächste Mal wieder OVino.

Da die Pechhütte zum Hotel gehört, sind die Preise genauso entsprechend. Nette Bedienung, guter Service und über die Preise kann man diskutieren, bringt jedoch nichts. Wer genug Geld hat, kein Problem.

Schöner Gastgarten, da konnte man früher draußen tanzen

Wir waren für ein verlängertes Wochenende in Bad Saarow. In der Pechhütten haben wir 2x in dieser Zeit gegessen, und waren sehr begeistert. Tolles Team und ein super Service. Weiter so.

Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Essen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Wir hatten Kaiserschmarrn, Sahne käse torte und Himbeertorte und dazu noch was zu trinken. Vom Preis her ist es super da alles geschmeckt hat.

Leider hat die Qualität des Essens aus meiner Sicht ggü. der Vergangenheit stark nachgelassen. Schade ☹️ Der Standort und das Ambiente weiterhin sehr gut. Aufgrund des sehr guten Services ist die Location immer noch für ein Glas guten Weins zu empfehlen!

Zum satt werden geht es, zum glücklich werden nicht. Küche ist eher lauwarm.....

Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, auch wenn man Ihnen anmerkte, dass Sie gestresst sind... Wir finden es nur sehr unangenehm, wenn man in ein Restaurant reinkommt und die Servicekräfte zum Großteil nicht grüßen bzw zurück grüßen und wenn, dann einfach vorbei laufen und den Gast dann trotzdem einfach im Eingangsbereich stehen lassen. Dann gibt man wenigstens kurz Bescheid, dass gleich jemand da ist. Wir haben uns dadurch erst eher als Last gefühlt. Mein Salat war geschmacklich okay, aber nichts besonderes. Der Burger meines Mannes hat leider gar nicht geschmeckt. Weder inhaltlich, noch die Portionsgrößen rechtfertigen die absolut überzogenen Preise. Ein Salat für 21 Euro muss schon auch etwas mehr hergeben... Alles in allem super enttäuschend 😓

Einfach super Service und leckeres Essen mit Qualität!!! Daumen hoch!!!

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht verhältnismäßig. Man sitzt auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den See. Gut. Wir haben lange auf die Bedienung gewartet. Das Essen war gut. Wir haben in Bad Sarrow anderweitig besser gegessen und weniger bezahlt.

Preise leider viel zu hoch,da es sich um ein Anschlußunternehmen des Hotel Esplanade handelt.

Pilze,Zwiebel Beilage ...gut - 2 x Maishähnchen mit Süßkartoffelpommes + gebrat.Pilze,Zwiebel Beilage.. befriedigt - Maishähnchen war nicht frisch zubereitet , aufgewärmt ---> typische Merkmale , innen sowie außen trocken, siehe Foto - es sollte zart und saftig sein - wurde der Bedienung mitgeteilt - Kulanz .....2x Espresso gratis - Zahlung einer zusätzliche Energiepreispauschale pro. Person 1.50 € - würde ich als Inhaber nicht weiter verfolgen , weil kontraproduktiv - dafür habe ich als Richtwert die Preise auf der Speisekarte - Fazit : " 4 Sterne Restaurant " ??? Preise und Speisen sollten miteinander Harmonieren

Wir hatten hauptsächlich Burger zum Mittag. Leider waren sie sehr salzig. Der Koch ist wohl verliebt? Für den stolzen Preis von 13,50 € oder 18,50 € für Burger ohne Beilagen sind die Erwartungen halt auch hoch. Außerdem war das Fleisch zu trocken, fest und gummiartig. Wir haben vor ca. 2 Jahren dort mal u.a. Burger gegessen, diese waren wirklich hervorragend. Mein Tipp, weniger Salz verwenden, die Gäste können nachsalzen. Burgerfleisch grober durch den Wolf und höheren Fettanteil für die Saftigkeit. Außerdem fand ich 1,50€ als Energiepauschale pro Gast aufzurufen als happig, denn die Preise sind ohnehin schon am Limit. Mein Fazit- Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis passt leider nicht mehr! Schade, denn es ist ein tolles Ambiente und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Lokal sauber und schön. Viel Erfolg beim nachbessern. Wenn es gelingt komme ich auch mal wieder. Liebe Grüße.

Es war mal eine Kantine und ist nun ein hochpreisiger Imbis. Der Service ist durchaus bemüht aber beim Umgang mit Kritik etwas überfordert. Naja, das ist natürlich menschlich. Die Gerichte sind allerdings eher niveaulos und im Prinzip ein Fastfood Imbis, aber mit langen Wartezeiten. Mein PulledPork Burger war fade gewürzt, kaum saftig, keine Raffinesse. Zum satt werden reichts. Meine Begleitung hat die lustlosen Kalorien nicht mal aufgegessen. Aber um es positiv abzuschließen, das Bier war gut.
