An unforgettable evening!!! Many thanks to the entire team and, above all, special praise to the excellent chef!!! Everything is just right here!!!

The food and service left a lot to be desired. Despite missing important ingredients, the dish I ordered was put on the table without asking me first if it was ok for me. Because I was hungry, I had no other choice and I wanted to save myself any more waiting time! The price remained the same without any concession from the restaurant. In addition, the dishes were rather poor and not warm. A visit to this restaurant is not recommended, despite the beautiful location!

We had a wonderful girls' weekend with dinner at Freilich am See Bad Saarow. Completely successful. Great ambience. Very tasty food and very nice service. We would come back again and again!

We had pork knuckle and goose breast, both were fantastic and then we also got a 10% discount with the spa card, what more could you want? Thank you for the lovely evening!

I have all the stars in all areas! The food (we had roast pork and fried chicken) was extremely tasty and a very good portion, appropriate for the price. We really liked the atmosphere with all the little details. The service was also very friendly, courteous and professional! There is a sixth star for my magical companion! We'll definitely be back!

Einfach superlecker, tolles Ambiente und netter Service. Die Knödel zum Nachtisch, Spinatknödel und Schupfnudeln, als auch der Wein köstlich.

The atmosphere is very nice and the employees were all very nice. Unfortunately, the food was NOT tasty at all (and that's why you go to the restaurant). It was extremely salty (spinach dumplings and especially the mushrooms). The side vegetables were a bowl full of overcooked mess (you couldn't really tell which vegetables were left in there). The crème brulé failed (i.e. egg separated from water). I'm happy to pay a few euros more per dish, but the food here would have been really bad even for "normal" prices. The saitan slices were also too salty. Children's food (schnitzel fries or fish sticks) was good. The children enjoyed it. Unfortunately we probably won't be coming back. But that's all a matter of taste.

Waited 1.5 hours for food even though the restaurant wasn't full. When asked, the order could not be found. No offer of a drink on the house or anything like that. No direct apology, it was only after the speech that the statement “we can’t do more than apologize” came. Meat dry and seasoned meat bland. Too bad.

A dream ! Starting with the great service, which never took long to arrive, to the wonderful ambience. Rooms were nicely furnished and clean. We had a great candlelight dinner which was really fantastic. The breakfast service was also really great. The lady tried hard to make everything fit. Sausage/cheese platters were served at the set table and coffee as well. You basically didn't have to worry about anything. That's what I call a nice break! We will definitely do it again!

Not recommended! We waited for an hour, then the waitress came and said that the receipt had been lost. Then it took another 30 minutes for the food to come. The roast pork was dry, the seasoned meat was tasteless and the pumpkin soup didn't taste like much. There was no apology for the mishap. The lake was/is beautiful.

The first time I was there, I ordered Kaiserschmarrn and salmon with noodles, it was the best thing I've ever eaten. Unfortunately, you can no longer order the salmon dish. We were there again and ate there, the knuckle was delicious but of course extremely expensive... The meatloaf was extremely tasty, the cabbage was also good, but not quite my thing. The two steak au four were tasty, but not really filled with meat so it was lost. Overall expensive but the view inside of the many pictures and small accents in the restaurant are very nice. Also don't forget the lake a few meters away is beautiful. As a small note, I remember that if large drinks are ordered, it should be 500ml and not just 300ml from a glass Cola bottle...

We were there for lunch and my meal (celery schnitzel) was good. I thought it was nice that my requests for changes were taken into account.

The rating for the food is incorrect because we only drank coffee there for our grandson's birthday and were allowed to bring our cake, because the restaurant is Bavarian in style and doesn't have cake, but Kaiserschmarrn, otherwise everything was perfect, we can recommend it

We were there for lunch yesterday around 2:00 p.m. Service, location and drinks TOP. But: I ordered the dry aged beer goulash for 25.50. The taste was GREAT, but there was almost no meat in the sauce. And the meat fibers that were found in the sauce were still “coated” with flour. Really a shame!

Disappointing brunch and overpriced I was at the “Freilich am See” restaurant in Batsaro today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Instead of the expected à la carte menu, only a school brunch was offered. This consisted largely of thawed products that were absolutely unconvincing in terms of taste. For 45 euros per person, I would definitely have expected more - especially since only a glass of sparkling wine and water were included in the price. Even in other holiday resorts you can get a much better breakfast at a cheaper price. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant due to the poor price-performance ratio.

Oh, that was a direct hit in the negative today. The worst food I've eaten in the last 20 years. The Tafelspitz was just underground. Please go back to southern Germany and let us explain how to prepare it. Unfortunately, the service didn't respond to our request at all. We cannot recommend this location. Maybe other guests will have better luck 🍀 .

We were here as part of a 60th birthday party and were unfortunately very disappointed! My parents were here a quarter of a year before and discussed everything with a very nice waitress. Since there were only 2 possible tables for 10 people, the beautiful, large table at the window front was reserved for us, as the other table directly at the door was out of the question for us. We were looking forward to it for a long time and arrived last Sunday at 12 p.m. to find that we could have the table at the door, which was not set at all despite the announcement of our 60th birthday. When we expressed our displeasure about the fact that we had agreed on everything differently a quarter of a year earlier and the other table was beautifully set, the two service employees became more sulky with every answer. A larger group than ours (12 instead of 10!) would have come in and would have priority. The information that the table wasn't even set yet, whether our reservation had been lost and why we hadn't been called were not really addressed. Instead, one of the two of them went stupidly to a cupboard, grabbed a package of napkins and just said harshly, "If you want napkins, you'll get some!" I've never experienced such interaction with guests before. When the mood on my dad's 60th birthday was finally at a low point and we were considering whether we should leave instead, we got a table in a corner where we were also allowed to move another table ourselves, so that there was enough space. Luckily we were served by a very friendly third waiter who tried to save the situation a little with his friendliness. It was probably better that the two ladies didn't show up at our table once more. The fact that all 10 of us said goodbye at the end with not a word just topped it all off. Thank you for the failed 60th birthday - unfortunately we will always remember it negatively.

Nettes Restaurant, direkt am See , tolle Salate und Schnitzel . Unkomplizierte Getränkekarte und schönes Flair , insbesondere an lauen Sommerabenden .

Stopped here at short notice, very attentive service, beer garden ambience in the outdoor area, not meant negatively, but nothing special either. Food was good, but not exceptionally good, clear, but you were still full. Prices more upscale than a beer garden restaurant would normally be.

Too expensive. Carelessly done. Spaetzle drowned in sauce. Location nice, staff okay.

When the weather is nice you can have a good time in the beer garden. With a view of the beautiful lake and friendly service, the food tastes twice as good. Only the sauerkraut didn't appeal to my taste buds.

As the name suggests, the restaurant is located on the beautiful Scharmützelsee, good food, nice service, we sat outside. Unfortunately my food wasn't quite as good, it tasted good but who wants to bite on sand all the time, I ordered spaetzle with chanterelles, which means the mushrooms weren't cleaned properly. But the rest was fine, great weather, delicious cocktail.

Ordered a Sprite and pork here. Waited for a really long time for both the waitress and the food. The pork tasted horrible, as did the potatoes that came with it, so I decided not to eat it. They discounted my order because of it, but I still paid €15. I don't recommend it.

Super nice location with a great view of the lake, unfortunately we didn't receive any attention for 15 minutes, only the neighboring tables were cleared away, not even a hello. Food still didn't come after 1 hour, only when asked then within 5 minutes without another word, quality is ok but unfortunately only ok for the prices, a shame because the place offers so much... but 0 points for the service, 5 points for that View and the location, 3 points for the food… what a shame for such a location! But unfortunately I only recommend it to a limited extent! PS: I picked up the pieces at the entrance myself because of the little kids and my little one!

The Bavarian in Prussia is a bit irritating, but the food is very tasty, the location, the ambience is very nice, the staff are friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately I was only there for a few cocktails. The free bread with quark as a welcome was very tasty and the dishes from the other guests also looked very good. The cocktails were good. The proximity to the guest could be even better - despite the stress, come to the table every now and then and ask if everything is OK. Otherwise great.

A fried sea bream fillet that was steamed, a wild herb salad that consisted of 2 leaves of lettuce and a chanterelle risotto that was almost cold. And a mustard for the fish listed on the menu, which was missing, but was probably in the risotto :-(. The waitress tried to be friendly, but it took effort. Questions were answered with annoyance. And our criticism came across in a friendly manner at the end Wasn't interested at all. It's a shame, it's a beautiful location in a magical place. But maybe they just had a bad day.

The Freilich am See is located directly on the Schermützelsee - we really liked it there. The food also tasted good - it could have been seasoned a little more delicately. We enjoyed being there and would love to come back.

Wow, I'm from Munich and I ate the best pork roast of my life here. Only the dumplings were too small. Food A+ Ambience couldn't be better and the service is also A1. Thanks for that. Wool

Really great atmosphere and nicely decorated, but unfortunately the staff is completely overwhelmed. Three waiters, each with a maximum of 5 tables to serve. We were forgotten twice, got our drinks after 45 minutes and our food after 1.5 hours. It really wasn't particularly crowded. Other guests got their own drinks from the bar. Waiters run out with some. Totally inefficient. No professionals work there. My sausages were still raw inside. The schnitzel was good. The price level is still high. What a shame!

Very nice atmosphere by the lake. We had already eaten somewhere else and therefore only ordered dessert. Unfortunately, Gastro cones Kaiserschmarn was cold and didn't taste as hoped. I wouldn't order there again. Still happy to come back.

Service and location ok. Food isn't that great. Bread dumplings and mushrooms in cream mean cheap canned mushrooms and hard dumplings made of indefinable mass. The Munich sausage salad consists of 40% onions, 40% gherkin and 20% meat loaf. We won't be coming back.

Bavarian restaurant well located. Nice service. Unfortunately the food wasn't quite to our taste. Potato soup had a sour aftertaste, the pork knuckle was super tender, but unfortunately there was a lack of seasoning, the sauce that went with the knuckle was reminiscent of ready-made sauce, the sausage salad was good. We sat in the beer garden when the weather was nice. The very loud music (Dj) was just annoying.

Unfortunately our reservation was canceled via email without explanation. A very bad business practice!!!! We will definitely pass this on... and they lost guests!!!

Cool location, with Bavarian thoughts. It has a self-service beer garden, a restaurant with very nice furniture and a very large ballroom with a festival lawn. Perfect for weddings. The food was delicious and the location right on the lake in a park was also beautiful. But you shouldn't think you're alone there, because the park is also a beach. So if you also want to get into the cool water, this is the place for you.

The mini golf course has 10 holes and costs 5 euros per person. Rackets and balls are available at the snack bar outside. I don't know if you can play when the snack bar is closed.

Last Friday evening we had dinner in Freilich am See with around 30 people. Unfortunately, we were not given any menus, but were only able to choose our dishes from 4 dishes previously specified by the restaurant. When I asked if I could perhaps order a portion of cheese spaetzle, I was told that this was not possible for staff reasons. My wife had a goulash soup that was also very good, but also a salad that was very dry. There was almost no dressing available. My son and I each had a baked veal schnitzel with a lukewarm potato and cucumber salad. The potato/cucumber salad tasted okay, but the quantity was far too small (approx. 2-3 tablespoons). The veal schnitzel was covered in a breading that I only know from fried fish, and in any case the schnitzel didn't look good , as if it came from the pan, but from the deep fryer. It was also very dry and definitely not worth the €28.90. The ambience is nice, but it doesn't outweigh the price/performance ratio.

We were invited to a birthday party at Freilich am See on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 and were thrilled! The location offers a breathtaking view over the water from the terrace and the interior is decorated with so much attention to detail that you immediately feel at home. We have visited here many times and it is our favourite spot to stop on our cycle tour for lunch and a lovely drink! The view is wonderful but also the staff and delicious menu are winners! Can’t wait to to come back!

As the name suggests, the Freilich is in a fantastic location directly on Scharmützelsee and has perhaps the most beautiful beer garden east of Berlin. The inn, a wooden building, leaves nothing to be desired. The menu offers solid classics of Bavarian cuisine. The service is quite good by Brandenburg standards, but there is still room for improvement on the way to becoming the best location in the region. Overall, however, five stars today. Dinner on the Freilich's terrace as the orange-red sun sets over the lake has a unique flair. More is not possible.

The restaurant is beautifully located and is stylishly furnished and well maintained. There is a small playground right on the beautiful terrace. The service is attentive and, as is typical for the region, rather reserved. The waiting time for the food for us (2 adults, 4 children) was a bit long but still okay. The dishes looked appealing - as in the previous photos. However, the food was not convincing. They were certainly not “Bavarian” as the restaurant advertised, but overall bland and neutral in taste. The two Keizerschmarrn were cold. A pity. The price-performance ratio is not right. What should be highlighted is the excellent Traunsteiner Helles, which is available to drink. 🍻

Die Qualität des Essen ließ zu wünschen übrig, nicht frisch zubereitet sondern ein lauwarm aufgewärmtes Schnitzel mit wenig Beilage übersichtlich auf einen großen Teller serviert. Keine Qualität , viel zu wenig und völlig überteuert. Auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen. Schade.

I didn't eat there so can't comment. But the location and surroundings are phenomenal.

Today I tested the kiosk on the beach. Soft ice cream for €3 is already crunchy. Luckily, the ice cream (chocolate/vanilla) in a waffle cone was handed to me in a napkin. As soon as I had it in my hand it ran out the bottom again. So be quick. It wasn't possible to take time to enjoy. The quality also leaves a lot to be desired. Here the water won and the creaminess fell by the wayside. All I can say about the ambience is that the carelessly designed offer boards and the smell of rancid fat don't really invite you to enjoy a liver loaf or sausage here. However, the prices are great, so you could expect more.

For us, who more or less only know Bad Saarow from the beach promenade, it's a real insider tip. The restaurant is in a great location by the water. You can dine in the restaurant or relax in the separate beer garden. The view of the lake is very beautiful. There is a playground next door for families. The service is very accommodating, nice and friendly. The food was very tasty and attractively prepared. It won't be the last time here. There must be another Freilich restaurant in Strausberg am See. We'll take a look here too. 5/5 stars!

Very cozy restaurant. The beer garden is also ideal. Directly on the lake with swimming opportunities and a large meadow. You can dine in the restaurant, but you can also have a leisurely snack.

Location and ambience quite ok. The asparagus was overcooked and a thick sauce that was supposed to be hollandaise. Absolutely not edible and for the price of €19.50 per person you could really expect better.

Beautiful restaurant with a well thought-out concept and cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point because of the food. It was solid, but I've had better cheese spaetzle and Kaiserschmarrn before.

22.4.24waren heute abend im Freilich, Tartar war gut, meine Kartoffelsuppe zu stark eingekocht, pampig, kaum Geschmack, Brathuhnschenkel und Wiener Schnitzel in Ordnung aber der Kartoffelsalat ungenießbar, geschmacklos und falsche Kartoffelsorte. Meine Bitte der Koch ein Herr Robert möge wegen eines guten Salatrezepts an unseren Tisch kommen wurde wegen Arbeitsüberlastung abgesagt und die Servisefrau meinte das Sie schon hunderte Salate ohne Reklamation heraus gegeben hätte und das Sie es immer so machen. Die Rechnung betrug 92€ als Tip sagte meine Frau 10%, zu Hause sahen wir daß statt 101, 110€ abgerechnet wurden. Versehen oder System? Mit Gruß an Herrn Hölzel. Dr.Hauser

Location by the lake is very nice. Service was ok. The food wasn't bad, nicely and modernly prepared. Unfortunately everything was a bit underseasoned and had a rather average taste. Tasteless...there was a bit of pep missing and the sauce for the onion roast. 🙂

You feel comfortable here. Stylish modern alpine ambience, beautiful summer terrace. There was fresh bread first, then a few spicy white sausages and a fried chicken salad with juicy pieces of chicken. Top! Then a delicious cappuccino, like in Italy. Perfect! We will be back! The only drawback: a bit difficult to find from the main road due to the lack of signs as it is behind Helios.

We had a perfect afternoon and end of the evening in the “Freilich-Bad Saarow”, with fantastic service, fantastic menus, including sunset over Lake Scharmützelsee. We are locals and are always happy about such successful evenings.
