Wir hatten unseren Sommerball der Tanzschule dort und es war wie immer schön. Man kann alles nur genießen, drinnen und draußen. Das vorbereitete Grillbuffet war erstklassig.

Ich war absolut begeistert von meinem Besuch! 🤩 Das Essen war vorzüglich, der Service makellos und das Ambiente einfach traumhaft. 💯 Kann diesen Ort nur wärmstens empfehlen! ✨

Es gibt dort sehr leckere Schnitzel direkt am Scharmützelsee und es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze.

Sowohl Imbiss als auch Restaurant sind sehr schön gelegen mit Blick auf den Scharmützelsee. An warmen Tagen ist der Arbeitsplatz für die Mitarbeitenden bestimmt eine riesige Herausforderung, trotz dem bin ich immer schnell und freundlich bedient worden.

Das Essen war sehr gut, der Preis nicht so.

Sehr nette Leute, super schöne Aussicht auf den See und schön gemacht. Für meinen Geschmack hätte bei der Spargel Bowl ein bisschen mehr Gewürz oder Sauce sein können, es war sehr "plain". Aber Geschmäcker sind verschieden 😊 Jedenfalls sehr frisch und schön zubereitet. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Das Bier war auch super 👍🏼

Wir waren total vom Ambiente und dem tollen Essen begeistert. Der Service war prima. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir waren unter der Woche zum Mittagessen dort. Es war relativ leer, verglichen mit der Größe des Restaurants. Allerdings waren drei größere Gruppen dort. Wir haben im Endeffekt über 1,5 Stunden auf unser Essen warten müssen. Geschmacklich war es ok, aber für den hohen Preis absolut nichts besonderes und die Portionen nicht sonderlich groß. Der Spargel war extrem bissfest. Anstatt der Bestellung von Sauce Hollandaise wurde braune Butter gebracht. Darauf hingewiesen kam ein Kännchen Hollandaise für 3 Gerichte zum „Teilen“ und dem Hinweis, wir sollen Bescheid sagen, wenn wir noch mehr bräuchten, was wir natürlich auch taten. Nur stand die „zusätzliche“ Portion zum Schluss dann auf der Rechnung (wurde jedoch nach Einspruch unsererseits entfernt). Auf Nachtisch haben wir verzichtet, um nicht noch mal so lange warten zu müssen. Das Ambiente und die Lage sind sehr schön. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aber die Wartezeiten waren wirklich lang. Wenn man Hunger hat, sollte man vielleicht woanders hingehen.

Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam... das Essen exzellent und das Ambiente sensationell....

Ein Restaurant, welches mit seiner Lage direkt am See im Kurort Bad Saarow besticht. Ein sehr schönes modern heimeliges Interieur im Gastraum vermittelt eine angenehme Urlaubsatmosphäre, was der Biergartenbereich mit Palmen und unterschiedlichen Bodenbelägen noch verstärkt. Es gibt für die Badegäste eine zusätzliche Imbisshütte, welche mit Grillgut und diversen alkoholischen und nicht-alkoholischen Getränken als Strandbar gut besucht ist. Da die Eissorten dort für uns nicht der vorgestellten Auswahl entsprachen, kehrten wir kurzerhand ohne Reservierung in den Biergarten ein. Obwohl 2/3 des gesamten Gastraumes - innen wie außen - leer auf Reservierung standen, gab es einen kurzen Moment, in welchem das ansonsten sehr freundliche zuvorkommende Servicepersonal haderte. Da wir kommunizierten, dass wir uns nicht allzu lange niederlassen und in Gruppe mit etwa 6Personen (wir wurden dann doch 12🤭) nur ein Eis und ein paar Getränke konsumieren wollten, wurde uns doch eine Einkehr ermöglicht. Der Service nahm unsere Bestellung absolut professionell und überaus freundlich auf. Die Bestellung wurde in kürzester Zeit an den Tisch gebracht und es gab Nichts zu beanstanden. Nur noch kurz die Zahlung drinnen am Bestelltresen via EC vorgenommen und schon konnten wir zu unserer eigentlichen Feiergesellschaft weiterziehen. Für dieses Restaurant kann man auch Geschenkgutscheine online und im Hotel 'Märkisches Meer' als Verbundgutschein erwerben. Direkt im Restaurant ist das aus Konzeptgründen der Verbundgruppe bedauerlicherweise nicht möglich, was Servicepersonal und kaufwillige Kundschaft schon mal vor unangenehme Situationen stellt. Hier herrscht Nachbesserungsbedarf! Den Stern Abzug im Ambiente gebe ich aufgrund der Ambivalenz in der Willkommensatmosphäre. Auch spontane Kundschaft möchte, bei offensichtlichen Gastraumkapazitäten, nicht aufgrund 'hoher Reservierungsauslastung' als Bittsteller und störend fühlen. Gut, dass es im Team zwei überdurchschnittlich engagierte höfliche Mitarbeiter gibt, die deutlich bemüht sind solche anfänglichen Diskrepanzen zu korrigieren.

Wenn Sie deutsches Essen so erleben möchten, wie Sie es sich vorstellen, dann kommen Sie hierher! Ich war schon ein paar Mal mit meiner Familie hier und es war jedes Mal ein Genuss. Ich kann das Schnitzel wärmstens empfehlen!

Essen: Halt am Kiosk Service: Unterirdisch schlecht, unfreundlich Ambiente: Mies, letztlich der Blick auf den Scharmützelsee war schön. Fazit: Badestelle sehr schön, kleinen Imbiss, Snack und Getränke mitbringen. Korrektur Mai 2026: Freundliches Personal, wir wurden schon vor der eigentlichen Öffnungszeit bedient, viele auch zum Teil gepolsterte Sitzmöglichkeiten mit Blick auf den Scharmützelsee.

Draußen ein super gelegener Imbiss, aber Pommes brauchten mehr als 40min, Service chaotisch, und sie schmeckten merkwürdig pappig.

Erlebnis pur direkt am See, grosse Liegewiese mit einem sehr guten Kiosk. Genussvoll und romantisch im Sommergarten aber auch im Restaurant ist das Ambiente geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Haxen, Würstel, Braten, Wurstsalat alles sehr lecker und nicht vergessen der Kaiserschmarrn mhhhh.

Wir waren echt sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen – richtig gute Qualität. Da steht offenbar jemand in der Küche, der sein Handwerk versteht, großes Lob dafür! Auch das Personal war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Und die Lage (fast) direkt am See ist natürlich ein echtes Highlight.

Bin anhand der Speisekarte sehr skeptisch in das Restaurant gekommen. Ich muss sagen, ich war mehr als positiv überrascht. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Jenschplatte und Halbe Haendl.

Mit viel Glück haben wir noch einen Tisch bekommen. Essen und Service waren top.

Wir wurden von sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitenden empfangen. Obwohl wir einen Tisch für innen reserviert hatten, war es kein Problem, uns draußen zu platzieren. Wir hatten Haxe, Brathändel und von der Saisoniarte Tagliatelle mit zweierlei Spargel. Alle Speisen waren sehr gut. Was heiß sein sollte, war heiß. Was man sich knusprig wünscht, war kross. Alle Zutaten waren frisch. Vielleicht hätten wir uns über eine kleine Salatgarnitur gefreut. Aber das ist nur eine Anregung. Dafür durften wir uns vorab über einen Gruß aus der Küche freuen. Die Biere eine spreewälder Privatbrauerei haben uns geschmeckt. Überraschender Weise hat das angenehm herbe Pils gewonnen.

Etwas abseits des Kurparks aber dennoch mit fantastischer Sucht auf den See mit Wiesenstrand und angrenzenden Biergarten liegt das Freilich am See. Wir waren ersthaft über die verhältnismäßig günstigen Preise verwundert, normalerweise hätte man Touristen anderswo mehr abgenommen. Aber als dann unsere Gerichte kamen; passend zur Saison gab's Spargel, waren wir sehr überrascht. Klassische Küche aber ohne viel Chichi aber dafür alles frisch und lecker. Keine Convenience-Küche und sättigende große Portionen. Da kommen wir gerne wieder!

Wir waren mit der Familie vor Ort. 14 Personen haben aus dem Karte bestellt und es sich schmecken lassen. Sehr angenehmer Abend und gutes Essen. Gerne wieder.

Ein Kleinod am See....wir wollten heute am Feiertag das schöne Ambiente genießen,Service war sehr nett....aber,nach 75 min hatten wir noch kein Essen,sind dann sehr enttäuscht gegangen.Was auch immer in der Küche falsch lief....die Servicemitarbeiter blieben freundlich. Super schade,haben uns umgehört,ist wohl kein Einzelfall.

Der Mai ist gekommen ,wir haben auch Freilich am See mit seinen ambitionierten Preisen gefunden ,nur die Angekündigte Gaudi hat gefehlt ,keinerlei Musik oder meint Freilich am See als Gaudi die klingende Musik in den Kassen

Absolut empfehlenswert.. Top Essen, alles frisch und lecker. Hatten Spargel mit Lachs und Salat Hähnchenbrust und Ziegenkäse. Der Service war auch super lieb und das Ambiente Top. Genug Anstand zwischen den Tischen, sodass man sich auch ungestörten unterhalten kann.

Die Atmosohäre ist ganz nett, die Einrichtung ein Mix aus Bayern und Maritim. Das Personal war freundlich, hat aber trotz geringer Auslastung etwas gedauert. Speisen und Getränke waren gut. Insgesamt solide, aber nichts herausragendes.

Das Restaurant liegt sehr schön am See und die Preise bewegen sich (für ein anständiges Hauptgericht) im gehobenen Bereich. Entsprechend waren meine Erwartungen. Leider war ich enttäuscht: Der Salat war teilweise (absolut sichtbar) welk und enthielt sogar gammelige Blätter. Nach Hinweis, wurde ein neuer Salat angeboten, aber welcher Koch gibt sowas überhaupt erst raus? Die Champignons waren deutlich versalzen. Auffällig war auch, dass das Restaurant fast (1 anderer Gast) leer war, umso unverständlicher, dass die Zubereitung von zwei Gerichten über 45 Minuten gedauert hat. Beim Bezahlen hat die Servicekraft plötzlich sehr stark nach Rauch gerochen, was ich in einem Restaurant dieser Preisklasse und überhaupt als echt unangenehm empfand. Insgesamt leider kein stimmiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Mit mehr Sorgfalt bei Qualität und Service wäre deutlich mehr möglich. Beim Ambiente einen Punkt Abzug, weil es ein bisschen angestaubt und angekrümelt in den Ecken und auf den Sitzbänken war.

Vorab muss ich ein Kompliment aussprechen, ein tolles Restaurant am Scharmützelsee mit einer tollen Lage. Auch der erste Eindruck vom Biergarten und dem Maibaum. Ein Stück Tradition und Heimat. Auf ging’s zum Essen. Ich bestellte Weißwurst süßen Senf, leider nicht von guter Qualität. Auch die Darbietung könnte man origineller gestalten. Es gibt doch extra dafür Terrinen. Das Dessert der Kaiserschmarren war von sehr schlechter Qualität. Letzendlich für 20 Euro erwarte ich was anderes. Da sollte man unbedingt nachbessern.

Schönes Ambiente, aufmerksames Servicepersonal und leckeres Essen sprechen für dieses Restaurant. Haxe und Schnitzel sind sehr zu empfehlen.

The staff provided excellent recommendations for drinks and food, and the quality was very good. The only slight drawback was that a voucher was no longer valid due to a change in ownership.

Very nice decor. Considering the price range, there's still plenty of room for improvement in the food and service. Some dishes on the menu are unavailable; the same applies to the teas offered. A corresponding notice before ordering would have been helpful.

So first of all... This restaurant is top-notch in terms of ambiance and location by the lake. That's about it, unfortunately, which we found very unfortunate. The menu is straightforward, with just a few dishes, which I really like. The food is beautifully presented and offers a lot, but unfortunately, the taste wasn't our cup of tea. We had the Backhändl (baked pork tenderloin) and the Bratwurst (bratwurst), which were reasonably priced, but unfortunately had little to no salt. The Backhändl (baked pork tenderloin) had a good coating, no salt or spices on the meat, and was a bit dry (which was acceptable). The potato salad could have used a bit more vinegar, and it was also lacking salt. I also don't understand the excessive use of pumpkin seed oil. It was a visual eye-catcher, but hardly added value; there was too much oil. My wife had the Bratwurst with Bavarian cabbage, mashed potatoes, and bacon. The Bratwurst didn't taste that good either, as the seasoning took a bit of getting used to; you can definitely find better ones. The mashed potatoes weren't salted, and the Bavarian cabbage wasn't as flavorful as you'd expect... Now for the bacon... Please leave that out or do something else. Yes, it was a little speck, but wow, it was just swimming in fat. The service was very friendly, but not particularly attentive. We had to wait quite a while to be shown to our table, which can happen when there's only one server. Spoiler alert... There were two of us. There were guests there, but two of us can rock it. Unfortunately, we had to wait a little too long for everything. With the house full, no problem. I would have loved to tip the nice waiter too; I found him incredibly friendly. Who knows what was going on there today. Thanks anyway for the hospitality.

The service is extremely unfriendly and unfriendly to children. You're ignored and then put off with snarky comments about the children's food and the long wait. Absolutely not recommended.

We went to dinner at Freilich am See today. The ambiance is truly exceptional – lovingly designed, cozy, and simply a place to feel good. The service was also attentive and friendly; we felt very welcome overall. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to this positive impression. My husband had the fried chicken with salad. The salad was okay, but nothing special. The meat itself was unfortunately completely unseasoned and therefore very bland in flavor. I had the bratwurst with cabbage and mashed potatoes. Visually, the dish was very appealing, but the taste was disappointing. The mashed potatoes were completely bland, and the nut butter on top was far too much – the plate was really greasy. The cabbage was also barely seasoned, and the bratwurst had an unpleasant aftertaste. It's a shame, because the ambiance and service deserved much better. Unfortunately, the taste was far from what one would expect from such a great first impression.

In a beautiful setting with a homey atmosphere and very attentive staff, we enjoyed a delicious wild herb salad with goat's cheese and veal schnitzel, albeit with a subtle restraint. The Kaiserschmarren for dessert was the icing on the cake. All in all, highly recommended.

We visited twice during our vacation. The service was always very friendly. The restaurant is very lovingly decorated. We would be happy to return.

A very well-kept and attractive location in Bad Saarow. The menu is limited, but the dishes are delicious! The service was simply charming and competent, and even handled stupid questions well. We'd love to come back!

Food was good. Service was terrible. We had a voucher that wasn't accepted because the cashier couldn't process it (at the moment). Great wedding gift... not.

The restaurant is open until 10:00 PM, and hot meals are supposed to be served until 9:00 PM. However, the kitchen closes at 8:45 PM, and there are no hot meals left. We were turned away. The two of us would have liked to have had a schnitzel each.

Unfortunately, I have to report a thoroughly disappointing experience, one that fell far short of the expectations raised by the beautiful view of the lake and the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Our visit on August 17, 2025, was characterized by long waits from the very beginning. Although the restaurant didn't even seem to be at full capacity, it took an unusually long time for our order to be taken. The service seemed overwhelmed, distracted, and anything but attentive. The main disaster came with the food. The wait for the main courses was well over two hours. Such waits are difficult to convey, especially when you're sitting there with hungry guests or children. When the food finally arrived—and unfortunately already lukewarm—the disappointment was complete: The **"Homemade Schnitzel"** was tough, dry, and tasted anything but fresh. The **"Fresh Chanterelles"** as a soup and side dish were mushy and bland, obviously from the freezer. The pasta for the children's dishes was bland, and the "tomato sauce" was beyond inedible. The quality of the food seemed cheap and carelessly prepared. This is absolutely unacceptable for the high prices charged here. When we tried to politely point out the problems, we were met with indifference. There was no apology or attempt to defuse the situation (perhaps with dessert or a free drink). **Conclusion:** The name "Freilich am See" promises freedom and enjoyment. What we get, however, is imprisonment in long waits, admittedly very poor cuisine, and service that lacks any charm. The potential of the place is enormous, but the execution is a complete disappointment. We will not be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend a visit to anyone at this time.

We've eaten there several times now, both as a couple and with the kids, and we can highly recommend the place. Sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the lake, enjoying a good meal and cool drinks, what more could you want? The only downside is that they don't serve Almdudler 😉

Without a star, we visited this restaurant a very long time ago, but after I got almost raw potatoes with my schnitzel, we will never visit this place again.

I was here for the first time today – what a lovely place! The salad was delicious, but I waited over an hour for it. I recommend the restaurant, but you should ask how long it will take to prepare 😉

The food and the location are magical , but the lady on the bar was not so friendly, maybe we came at 8:30, on google maps shows that it closed at 22:00 , she was like you need to order very quickly since the kitchen close at 21:00, which worth to mention otherwise i would come on other day

A beautiful location by the lake, very attentive staff, and Bavarian dishes in the beer garden. Always worth a visit. Unfortunately, we weren't as satisfied during a visit this year in 2025. Among the dishes, we missed the knuckle of pork and the roast beef with onions, which were always a reason to visit. The current menu, with its selection of dishes, doesn't appeal to us for another visit. The restrooms used to be very clean, too. Unfortunately, that can't be said anymore. Today, only air dryers hang on the counter, and only the peelings of the paper remain on the counter.

The ambiance is perfectly fine, but unfortunately, in my opinion, the price-performance ratio isn't good. The prices are a bit excessive.

We couldn't understand why it was so empty. Super friendly service, great atmosphere, and delicious food. Plus, that amazing view. The only thing that bothered me was the music, which I've only heard in shisha bars in Berlin.

Incredibly stylish beach restaurant. We arrived at Freilich late Sunday afternoon without a reservation. An extremely friendly waiter nevertheless made an effort to find us a seat among the many reserved tables. The food: pleasantly varied, reasonably priced, if not cheap, but lovingly prepared, and served relatively quickly. The overall ambiance is dreamy and inviting. Only the music (their own DJ in the pavilion next to the outdoor dining area) could use a few dB less to make for more pleasant conversation. The interior of the restaurant is dignified and tastefully decorated, with a certain affinity for Scandinavian design resonating throughout the entire ensemble. The restrooms are exceptionally tastefully designed and a model of cleanliness, even exceeding many other good restaurant restrooms by a considerable margin (I had to mention that, as it's truly above the norm!). Despite their demanding workload, the staff always seems to be friendly, charming, and attentive to guests. A welcome exception, especially in such rather hip tourist destinations!

This is a fantastic restaurant right at Scharmützelsee. The staff is highly attentive, the kitchen serves very solid Bavarian food and the property is amazing. Highly recommended for families as the kids have a wonderful playing area outside.
