The Freilich am See is located directly on the Schermützelsee - we really liked it there. The food also tasted good - it could have been seasoned a little more delicately. We enjoyed being there and would love to come back.

Wow, I'm from Munich and I ate the best pork roast of my life here. Only the dumplings were too small. Food A+ Ambience couldn't be better and the service is also A1. Thanks for that. Wool

Really great atmosphere and nicely decorated, but unfortunately the staff is completely overwhelmed. Three waiters, each with a maximum of 5 tables to serve. We were forgotten twice, got our drinks after 45 minutes and our food after 1.5 hours. It really wasn't particularly crowded. Other guests got their own drinks from the bar. Waiters run out with some. Totally inefficient. No professionals work there. My sausages were still raw inside. The schnitzel was good. The price level is still high. What a shame!

Very nice atmosphere by the lake. We had already eaten somewhere else and therefore only ordered dessert. Unfortunately, Gastro cones Kaiserschmarn was cold and didn't taste as hoped. I wouldn't order there again. Still happy to come back.

Service and location ok. Food isn't that great. Bread dumplings and mushrooms in cream mean cheap canned mushrooms and hard dumplings made of indefinable mass. The Munich sausage salad consists of 40% onions, 40% gherkin and 20% meat loaf. We won't be coming back.

Bavarian restaurant well located. Nice service. Unfortunately the food wasn't quite to our taste. Potato soup had a sour aftertaste, the pork knuckle was super tender, but unfortunately there was a lack of seasoning, the sauce that went with the knuckle was reminiscent of ready-made sauce, the sausage salad was good. We sat in the beer garden when the weather was nice. The very loud music (Dj) was just annoying.

Unfortunately our reservation was canceled via email without explanation. A very bad business practice!!!! We will definitely pass this on... and they lost guests!!!

Cool location, with Bavarian thoughts. It has a self-service beer garden, a restaurant with very nice furniture and a very large ballroom with a festival lawn. Perfect for weddings. The food was delicious and the location right on the lake in a park was also beautiful. But you shouldn't think you're alone there, because the park is also a beach. So if you also want to get into the cool water, this is the place for you.

The mini golf course has 10 holes and costs 5 euros per person. Rackets and balls are available at the snack bar outside. I don't know if you can play when the snack bar is closed.

Last Friday evening we had dinner in Freilich am See with around 30 people. Unfortunately, we were not given any menus, but were only able to choose our dishes from 4 dishes previously specified by the restaurant. When I asked if I could perhaps order a portion of cheese spaetzle, I was told that this was not possible for staff reasons. My wife had a goulash soup that was also very good, but also a salad that was very dry. There was almost no dressing available. My son and I each had a baked veal schnitzel with a lukewarm potato and cucumber salad. The potato/cucumber salad tasted okay, but the quantity was far too small (approx. 2-3 tablespoons). The veal schnitzel was covered in a breading that I only know from fried fish, and in any case the schnitzel didn't look good , as if it came from the pan, but from the deep fryer. It was also very dry and definitely not worth the €28.90. The ambience is nice, but it doesn't outweigh the price/performance ratio.

We were invited to a birthday party at Freilich am See on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 and were thrilled! The location offers a breathtaking view over the water from the terrace and the interior is decorated with so much attention to detail that you immediately feel at home. As the name suggests, the Freilich is in a fantastic location directly on Scharmützelsee and has perhaps the most beautiful beer garden east of Berlin. The inn, a wooden building, leaves nothing to be desired. The menu offers solid classics of Bavarian cuisine. The service is quite good by Brandenburg standards, but there is still room for improvement on the way to becoming the best location in the region. Overall, however, five stars today. Dinner on the Freilich's terrace as the orange-red sun sets over the lake has a unique flair. More is not possible.

The restaurant is beautifully located and is stylishly furnished and well maintained. There is a small playground right on the beautiful terrace. The service is attentive and, as is typical for the region, rather reserved. The waiting time for the food for us (2 adults, 4 children) was a bit long but still okay. The dishes looked appealing - as in the previous photos. However, the food was not convincing. They were certainly not “Bavarian” as the restaurant advertised, but overall bland and neutral in taste. The two Keizerschmarrn were cold. A pity. The price-performance ratio is not right. What should be highlighted is the excellent Traunsteiner Helles, which is available to drink. 🍻

Die Qualität des Essen ließ zu wünschen übrig, nicht frisch zubereitet sondern ein lauwarm aufgewärmtes Schnitzel mit wenig Beilage übersichtlich auf einen großen Teller serviert. Keine Qualität , viel zu wenig und völlig überteuert. Auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen. Schade.

For us, who more or less only know Bad Saarow from the beach promenade, it's a real insider tip. The restaurant is in a great location by the water. You can dine in the restaurant or relax in the separate beer garden. The view of the lake is very beautiful. There is a playground next door for families. The service is very accommodating, nice and friendly. The food was very tasty and attractively prepared. It won't be the last time here. There must be another Freilich restaurant in Strausberg am See. We'll take a look here too. 5/5 stars!

Today I tested the kiosk on the beach. Soft ice cream for €3 is already crunchy. Luckily, the ice cream (chocolate/vanilla) in a waffle cone was handed to me in a napkin. As soon as I had it in my hand it ran out the bottom again. So be quick. It wasn't possible to take time to enjoy. The quality also leaves a lot to be desired. Here the water won and the creaminess fell by the wayside. All I can say about the ambience is that the carelessly designed offer boards and the smell of rancid fat don't really invite you to enjoy a liver loaf or sausage here. However, the prices are great, so you could expect more.

Very cozy restaurant. The beer garden is also ideal. Directly on the lake with swimming opportunities and a large meadow. You can dine in the restaurant, but you can also have a leisurely snack.

Location and ambience quite ok. The asparagus was overcooked and a thick sauce that was supposed to be hollandaise. Absolutely not edible and for the price of €19.50 per person you could really expect better.

Beautiful restaurant with a well thought-out concept and cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point because of the food. It was solid, but I've had better cheese spaetzle and Kaiserschmarrn before.

22.4.24waren heute abend im Freilich, Tartar war gut, meine Kartoffelsuppe zu stark eingekocht, pampig, kaum Geschmack, Brathuhnschenkel und Wiener Schnitzel in Ordnung aber der Kartoffelsalat ungenießbar, geschmacklos und falsche Kartoffelsorte. Meine Bitte der Koch ein Herr Robert möge wegen eines guten Salatrezepts an unseren Tisch kommen wurde wegen Arbeitsüberlastung abgesagt und die Servisefrau meinte das Sie schon hunderte Salate ohne Reklamation heraus gegeben hätte und das Sie es immer so machen. Die Rechnung betrug 92€ als Tip sagte meine Frau 10%, zu Hause sahen wir daß statt 101, 110€ abgerechnet wurden. Versehen oder System? Mit Gruß an Herrn Hölzel. Dr.Hauser

Location by the lake is very nice. Service was ok. The food wasn't bad, nicely and modernly prepared. Unfortunately everything was a bit underseasoned and had a rather average taste. Tasteless...there was a bit of pep missing and the sauce for the onion roast. 🙂

You feel comfortable here. Stylish modern alpine ambience, beautiful summer terrace. There was fresh bread first, then a few spicy white sausages and a fried chicken salad with juicy pieces of chicken. Top! Then a delicious cappuccino, like in Italy. Perfect! We will be back! The only drawback: a bit difficult to find from the main road due to the lack of signs as it is behind Helios.

We had a perfect afternoon and end of the evening in the “Freilich-Bad Saarow”, with fantastic service, fantastic menus, including sunset over Lake Scharmützelsee. We are locals and are always happy about such successful evenings. Ja, das „Freilich am See“ in Bestlage am Scharmützelsee aber ohne gutes Konzept zur Bewirtschaftung. Als „Einheimische“ waren wir nun zum wiederholten Mal hier und geben es nun auf. Die Bewirtung bemüht sich, aber die Küche kann es nicht. Nach gut einer Stunde und 15 Minuten kam unser Essen. Herz- und Lieblos, ein Schweinekrustenbraten der wie ein Klumpen aussieht, wenig Soße und die nachgereichte Soße war versalzen. Die Haxe für 27,90 war eine drei Minus nur bei dem Preis ein Witz! Das Resümee: gute Lage am See für ein nettes Glässchen aber Essen zu Hause oder anderswo.

Leider muss man oft mitbekommen das wenn man sich ein Tisch reservieren möchte, man zuerst eine Zusage bekommt und am nächsten Tag ohne Angabe von Gründen gelöscht wird. Kommt man so und möchte um 17 Uhr was essen wird man gebeten zu gehen da angeblich nichts frei ist. Lsbtiq freundlich ist was anderes. Die Feier mit den Gästen zur Eheschließung im August werden wir jedenfalls nicht da machen. Gäste Unfreundlich ist sowas.

Bedauerlicherweise eine sehr negative Erfahrung. Der Schweinebraten kam als trockener, dicker Fleischklotz auf dem Teller daher, dazu Fertigbratensauce. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war außen hart, aber immerhin Medium gebraten in der Mitte. Dazu Spätzle, leider auch keine Offenbarung. Als Lichtblick gab es ein Salatbouquet mit apartem Dressing und das Traunsteiner Bier. Es wäre ein Leichtes, ein kulinarisches Toplokal zu machen, wunderbare Lage direkt am See. Der Koch wäre gut beraten, ein Praktikum in einem ganz normalen bayrischen Landgasthaus zu absolvieren, denn diese solide Küche ist keine Hexerei und damit könnte das Freilich zu einer Goldgrube werden. Immerhin mußten wir den Schweinebraten nicht bezahlen.

Wir haben uns gestern auf die Silvesterfeier mit vorherigen 6 Gänge-Menü gefreut. Leider wurden wir total enttäuscht. Vorweg, die Location hat eine super tolle Lage, auch das Ambiente im Restaurant ist ansprechend, auch am Service gab es nichts zu mäkeln. Jedoch war das Menü und auch der DJ unter aller Kanone.,Wir haben 137,00 Euro pro Person für das Menü und den Eintritt zur Party bezahlt. Das Menü bestand aus einen Linsensalat mit Roastbeef-Scheiben, was sich im Nachhinein, als der beste Menügang entpuppte. Danach gab es eine lauwarme pürierte Pastinakensuppe (kein Brot, nichts dazu), im Anschluss daran einen kleinen halben nicht mal lauwarmen Hummer nackig auf dem Teller, der angekündigte Fleischgang danach bestand aus Süßkartoffelpüree, darüber lag eine dünne Scheibe rohes Rindfleisch (kein Gemüse nix) und als Abschluss gab es Tongabohnenpüree, welches echt unappetitlich ausgesehen hat (wie Durchfall). Meiner Meinung nach, war das Menü für Menschen zugeschnitten, die Probleme mit ihrem Kauapperat haben, da alles püriert und gestampft war. Das Menü zog sich über 3,5 Std und wir können nicht sagen, dass wir am Ende satt waren. Im Anschluss wollten wir wenigstens ein bisschen Tanzen, jedoch ist der DJ unserer Meinung überhaupt nicht auf die Gäste eingegangen und hat seine Playlist runtergespielt. Nach Mitternacht hat er fast eine Stunde nicht tanzbare (evtl. Barmusik) gespielt, bis sich die ersten Gäste beschwert haben. Gegen 1:30 haben wir die Veranstaltung echt unzufrieden verlassen. Unser Fazit lautet: Nie wieder.

Angenehme Atmosphäre essen war mega

Wir haben dort unsere Weihnachtsfeier gefeiert und waren sehr enttäuscht. Personal war extrem unfreundlich und genervt. Tische und Essen wurden viel zu schnell abgeräumt sowie unsere Gläser am Tisch obwohl eine Flasche daneben stand. Sehr enttäuschend. . Essen war sehr lecker trotzdem würde ich es nicht weiter empfehlen. Sehr enttäuscht.

Lieblingsort, das Konzept stimmt einfach. Ich bin hier immer wieder gerne.

Wunderschönes Restaurant in toller Lage am See. Die Location ist sehr schön eingerichtet und hat einen großen Saal für Veranstaltungen. Leider lässt das Personal und der Service sehr zu wünschen übrig und war enttäuschend. Getränke wurden teilweise halb voll vom Tisch abgeräumt, auf Fragen wurde patzig oder mit Schulterzucken reagiert. Noch frecher fande ich, dass die Kellnerinnen sogar mit den Augen gerollt haben, als man sich umdrehte und wieder an seinen Tisch ging. So etwas macht man nicht!!!!! Das Essen und das Buffet waren lecker und geschmackvoll. Aber auch hier muss ich Kritik loswerden: Dass das Dessert bei einem Buffet direkt nach dem ersten ''Durchgang'' wieder abgeräumt wird, ist nicht schön. Ich hätte gerne nach einer kurzen Pause nach dem Essen noch etwas Süßes essen wollen. Auf Nachfrage wurde auch hier wieder nur patzig geantwortet. Sehr schade. Leider muss ich auch sagen, dass ich dieses Restaurant nicht wieder besuchen werde!!!!!

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit einer super Lage. Essen war geschmacklich gut. Leider hat es am Service gemangelt. Zum Glück gab es Ausnahmen.Ein Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und fragte stets nach.Die Kellnerinnen haben sich jedoch viel und oft sehr lautstark über Gäste beschwert. Man merkte ihnen deutlich an, dass sie keine Lust zum arbeiten hatten. Schade, das wirft kein gutes Licht auf ein Restaurant.

Wir haben das Bayrische Restaurant extra aufgesucht um Haxe zu essen.Stand auch in der Karte . Leider wurde uns dann Mitgeteilt daß es keine gibt. Der Tisch wurde dann schon während des Essens abgeäumt. Der Wein wurde mit einem zerknüllten gelben Abwasch Lappen serviert.Jeder der das vierfarb System kennt weiß wofür der Lappen ist. Ich habe schon für weniger Geld besser gegessen.

Großartiges Restaurant!!! Wir nennen es das "Herrlich am See". Wir (Paar) waren wie jedes Jahr Anfang November für 1 Woche in Bad Saarow und in der Zeit 3 x zu Gast, jedesmal mit anderen Hauptspeisen. Alle waren köstlich und auch sehr nett angerichtet, wirklich klasse. Das Angebot ist u.E. völlig ausreichend und wird auch noch durch saisonale Zusatzgerichte ergänzt. Zudem auch klare, stringente Ausrichtung auf bayerische Produkte, dadurch wohl auch die hohe Qualität. Wir sind sehr angetan vom Freilich.

Ein schönes Lokal direkt am See. Im Laden gab es einen richtigen Kamin, dort haben wir uns auch hingesetzt. Toller Ausblick. Es war noch recht früh gegen 17 Uhr und es war noch nicht viel los, die Menschen gehen hier wohl später essen. Bürgerlich gute Speisen. Haben gut gegessen und es gab nichts zu bemängeln. Ein paar freie Parkplätze und ein nicht beleuchteter Weg (oder die Laternen gehen noch später an?!).

Tatar war echt lecker. Leider der Kaiserschmarrn nicht so gut diesmal... Für den Preis erwatet Mann shon Bissien mehr.

Das Essen, der Service und das Ambiente waren Spitze. Leider lief die Heizung nicht und zwei Holzscheide im offenen Kamin bringt auch leider nichts.

Das Freilich am See ist eine ungemütliche Restauration. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön, der Service ist super klasse. Die Speisen sind lecker. Die Getränke reichhaltig.

Gutes Essen und feines Ambiente

Das Essen war schmackhaft. Es hätte etwas mehr Soße sein können. Die Karte ist nicht zu groß, aber ausreichend. Leider war es zu kühl in dem Restaurant. Deshalb sind wir sofort nach Essen gegangen, weil wir schon kalte Füße hatten. Es ist ein schönes Restaurant, bei dem man sich auch etwas Gemütlichkeit wünscht.

Einfach super. Man fühlt sich dort sehr wohl. Essen ist super. Sehr freundliches Personal. L’âge idéal.

Wunderschönes Restaurant mit direkter seelage und wirklich toll eingerichtet. Sehr geschmackvoll. Hat etwas von einer modernen bierstube. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar aber etwas unübersichtlich, da sich hier mehr Getränke als wirklich Spreizen befinden. Dennoch finde ich ist die Auswahl an Speisen ausreichend. Wir entschieden uns dann für das Gulasch. Dieses war zum Zeitpunkt unserer Bestellung (circa 18:15 auf einem Freitag) nach Aussagen der Bedienung noch nicht fertig. Positiv daran: es scheint selbst gemacht zu werden, trotzdem sehr unglücklich für uns. Also entschieden wir uns für Haxe. Wir erhielten drei haxen. Leider war nur eine davon wirklich schon knusprig. Die anderen eher wabbelig außen. Das Fleisch war dennoch sehr gut. Sauerkraut sehr würzig fast schon versalzen Sauce ohne Geschmack. Es wurde draußen und auch im Gastraum dunkler. Und Glühbirne in der Lampe neben uns war defekt wurde aber auch auf nachfragen nicht ausgetauscht, sodass wir im Dunkeln saßen und den Teller mit Kerzenlicht ausleuchteten. Auf nachfragen zu einen Schnaps, der In der Karte steht, wurde mit Schulterzucken reagiert. Sehr schade. Eigentlich wollten wir nächsten Tag noch einmal dort essen gehen. Haben uns dann dagegen entschieden.

Lange nicht mehr so schmackhaft gegessen. Die wunderbar knuspige Haxe war in der Größe genau richtig und alle Beilagen und auch die Sosse sehr lecker. Dazu eine sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung, was will man mehr. Sowas ist seinen Preis jeden Cent wert.

Alles gut, aber erwachsene Preise.

Diese Restaurant kann man nur weiter empfehlen. Die Speisen werden dort frisch zubereitet und sind total lecker 😋. Es wir auch auf Allergiker eingegangen. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Super Oktoberfest! Das Essen war genauso ausgezeichnet wie der Service!

Unerwartet stilvolle Einrichtung, eine Getränke-, Wein- und Speisenkarte die wirklich neugierig macht, ausnahmslos aufmerksamer und wirklich guter und freundlicher Service, großartig leckeres Essen und wirklich faire Preise! Ich bin Berliner, hätte das nicht erwartet und kann nur sagen… unbedingt ausprobieren!

Vorweg: ich werte nur Gastros, welche ich gerne und wieder besuchen würde, da bei einem one-Time-Stand immer mal was schiefgehen kann... und Eindrücke immer individuell sind. Ebenso finde ich max. 5 Punkte zu wenig, bei 10 kann man besser differenzieren... Das Freilich liegt nicht gerade bei mir ums Eck, drei mal dagewesen, immer mit einem Lächeln raus. Für mich 6 von 10 Punkten. Diesmal zwei Gerichte mit Pfifferlingen, optisch und geschmacklich ansprechend, gute "Brauhausküche". Preis OK. Schöner Blick zum See. Ansprechende, recht große Weinauswahl an Flaschenweinen. Service aufmerksam.
