The service on May 17, 2025, was very professional, and we were treated just right. The food was exceptionally delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection, the side dishes were excellent, and served at the right time.

Disappointing Experience in a Beer Garden – Lack of Hospitality Dear Sir or Madam, Today we visited the bird park in Forst and passed by your restaurant, the "Parkschenke." My young son urgently needed to use the restroom, so I politely asked your staff if we could use your restroom for a moment. Unfortunately, we were refused permission on the grounds that the restrooms were reserved exclusively for guests – even though I explicitly stated that we had planned to stop by later anyway. I can understand that people want to follow certain rules. However, I would have appreciated a little humanity and hospitality – especially with a child. In my own restaurants, I naturally allow passersby or families with children to use the restroom – for me, that's part of respectful interaction. This experience was disappointing, and we decided not to visit you again. What a shame – that's how you lose customers before you've even gained them. Sincerely, Unfortunately, this was a very unpleasant experience. We wanted to quickly go to the bathroom with our child, as we were planning to stop for a bite later anyway. We were strictly denied access – no humanity, no understanding. It's a shame, because that's not what hospitality looks like.

Good cuisine and prices are ok too Staff is friendly and nice

Everything in the restaurant was full - no problem, we sat out. After 25 minutes we still hadn't been served, even though the waiter walked past us three times. There were only two tables occupied outside. No menu, no drinks, we couldn't even order them. We had to go back hungry with our little son. Answer to your answer: Two older men were sitting next to us at the table and had drinks and food on the table! They were served continuously. So your statement is not true. Especially since we showed the young waiter that we were sitting outside.

Mega chill shop! Food was really good, portions just right. The staff was relaxed but still professional. It's really easy to switch off here, music was pleasant in the background. Definitely come back!☺️☺️

For me the best restaurant in Forst! The food is simply great – fresh, delicious and made with a lot of love. You immediately notice that quality counts here. The boss is an exceptionally friendly and honest person who does his work with heart. The whole team is also great – warm, attentive and professional. The atmosphere in the restaurant is calm and cozy, you immediately feel welcome. Reservations are possible without any problems, which is very pleasant. I always enjoy coming here. Absolute recommendation!

We discovered this restaurant yesterday by chance. The food was delicious, prepared quickly and brought to the table by friendly service. :-) Price/performance is absolutely right here. Small minus points, no card payment possible. Cash or PayPal only.

Go spontaneously every now and then. Food very tasty, good portions and price is normal. Service and ambience is “ok” 5 stars for the food if you want to go there spontaneously without making a reservation at short notice.

We were there on a Friday evening at 8:15 p.m. and wanted something to eat. The owner explained to us that there was no more hot food even though the restaurant was open until 10 p.m. that day.

Fast, tasty, down-to-earth simple, good food and comfortable to sit outside

We were there for dinner with the family... cobwebs everywhere on the tables... tables dirty... When we ordered we were told that there was no salad with the meal because it wasn't delivered [no problem] unfortunately we were still charged the full price.... no longer come even though we used to be there regularly....

I can't say anything about the food, as we only had to use the toilet that had water in the toilet (unfortunately people sometimes have to do that, even quite involuntarily), but I can't say anything about the super unfriendly staff. We were immediately and very rudely pointed out the flat rate we had to pay for using the toilet after we decided against eating there afterwards. When we were told that the toilet was totally dingy, we were told that we didn't have to go there and that if we couldn't even pay 50 cents, we wouldn't be welcome there either. After my friend and I turned away without saying a word in response to this comment, we were then told that we would look like we didn't have 50 cents in our pockets... sad.

The online menu should be updated because the price on the restaurant menu is a good 20 percent higher, which I don't think is right.

We were there yesterday despite the fact that the place was overcrowded, we managed to get a seat, were warmly welcomed and served by a young man, very attentive, top waiter. I'll definitely be back!

We were there with 3 adults and a small child and everyone was completely satisfied. The food was very tasty and seemed homemade without the use of ready-made products. Big plus: For most dishes you can decide whether you want a large or small portion. The small one was more than enough for us, but if you're really hungry you can also use the large one. It's definitely tasty enough!

We were almost alone there, so it was uncomfortable and unfortunately cold. Much better in the summer, especially outside, but we didn't like it at all in the winter.

Es ist eine Frechheit...wir hatten zum 60sten Geburtstag reserviert. Für heute. Vor ca zwei Wochen nochmals angerufen und bezüglich der Uhrzeit nachgefragt. Heute mit den Gästen nach einer schönen Runde durch den Tierpark und ordentlich Hunger vor der Parkschenke angekommen um ein Schild vorzufinden, dass von 30.10.-04.11.23 geschlossen ist. Warum nimmt man dann Reservierungen an? Wirklich großes Kino. An dieser Stelle ist das Restaurant zum Tierpark lobend zu erwähnen, die spontan trotz kranker Mitarbeiterin eingesprungen sind. Wahnsinnig leckeres Essen!!! Danke für die Rettung, ist gerade ein paar Meter weiter.

Wunderschöne Terasse. Mit schönen Ambiente. Essen war super lecker. Einiges Manko leider war der grüne Salat alle... Kann jedoch mal an so einem schönen Sonntag passieren

Wir sind Sonntag zur Mittagszeit dort gewesen und hatten ein super Rumpsteak und Pfeffersteak gegessen es war so etwas von lecker und die Soßen dazu einfach fantastisch. Das mediterrane Gemüse war auch das leckere weit und breit. Wir kommen wieder. C+V

Essen war super aber nach dem Essen standen die teller 20 min da bis jemand vom Service gekommen ist.

Wir waren gestern mit der Familien in der Parkschänke essen und es war wie immer phänomenal !! Das Essen war Spitze und das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis Top nur weiter zu empfehlen . Ganz großes Lob geht an die weibliche Bedienung, sie ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Am 22.7.2023 haben wir hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert. Familie Heinitz hat dazu beigetragen, dass wir einen wunderschönen Tag hatten. Sie haben die Dekoration für uns übernommen, sodass wir nach der Trauung direkt mit Sektempfang starten konnten. Das Essen war hervorragend, der Service sehr nett und immer um unser Wohl bemüht. Unsere 26 Gäste und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir können diese Location nur weiter empfehlen. Vielen Dank und wir kommen wieder.

Tolles Örtchen zum Entspannen, schattig kühl und sonnig schön, für jeden was dabei. Das Personal ist freundlich und super bemüht alles schön zu machen, Toiletten sind sauber und die Kinder können einfach rumrennen ohne das was passiert.

Tolles Essen, faire, ja fast günstige Preise, aufmerksame und freundlicher Service in einem tollen Tier und Vogelpark. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Freundlicher Kellner heute am 04.06.2023, Essen (Schnitzel, Spätzle ohne Salat) war wunderbar. Gerne wieder.

Die Parkschänke liegt innerhalb des Vogelparkes von Forst und lädt deshalb schon zum verweilen ein. Ob Schnitzel, Rumpsteak oder auch nur einen Salat. Die Speisekarte gibt einiges her. Es geht aber auch nur einen Kaffe oder ein Eis für die Kleinen. Dort kann man schön im Schatten sitzen und den Vögeln rund um den Teich zuschauen. Wir hatten das panierte Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat (Schniposa) welches sehr gut war. Die Preise sind angemessen für die Leistung. Der Service flott und sehr freundlich.. Alles so, wie es sein soll.. Wir kommen wieder.

Salate waren lecker und schöne Portionen. Hat etwas länger gedauert, aber es war auch sehr viel los.

Die Parkschänke ist ein sehr tolles Lokal welches sich im Vogelpark in Forst perfekt einbettet. Hier bekommt man sehr frisches und sehr leckeres Essen in schöner Atmosphäre serviert. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Mein persönlicher Geheimtipp für diese Region. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr leckeres Essen. Für einen Samstag allerdings sehr leer. Die Bedienung war mehr hinten in der Küche, als im Schankraum. Aber es gab eine Klingel.

Auf die Frage hin, ob wir mit unseren Hunden in den Wintergarten dürfen, wurde dies bejaht, wir wurden überaus freundlich begrüßt und es wurde extra für uns eine portable Heizung gebracht. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch frisch zubereitet, trotz dessen, dass sie preislich unter dem Durchschnittspreis liegen (für Käsespätzle mit Getränk für etwa 9€)! Und trotz meines frechen Hundes, war die Bedienung sehr, sehr zuvorkommend und verständnisvoll!! Kommen sehr gerne wieder.. :)

Mitten im Vogelpark befindet sich das Restaurant, im Sommer gibt es Sitzmöglichkeiten im Außenbereich. Das Essen ist preiswert und lecker. Die Karte bietet jedoch wenig Auswahl an Gerichten: für Vegetarier stehen leider nur Käsespätzle oder ein Gemüseteller (Grillgemüse) zur Auswahl. Hier könnte noch ein wenig hinzugefügt werden. Die Lokation liegt ruhig und ist, vor allem bei älteren Stammkunden, sehr beliebt.

Wir waren heute mit meinen Eltern und unseren Kinder dort Essen und wir sind begeistert gewesen. Mega netter Empfang und die Bedienung war so lieb zu den Kindern. Das Essen war so so lecker vor allen der Salat. Wir werden zukünftig öfters dort Essen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Unser absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant! Man wird immer freundlich empfangen. Wir kommen hier regelmäßig hin, unser Sohn ist ganz verrückt nach den hervorragenden Spätzle! Und wir kommen sehr gerne immer und immer wieder!

Das Essen war gut. Service auch, aber die Rechnung hat leider nicht gestimmt und die Getränke sind ziemlich teuer. Wir kommen nicht wieder.
