We visited the restaurant twice this year because we had fond memories from previous years. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, and the food arrived lightning fast. The asparagus was always a bit too soft for me, but that's probably not something you can do perfectly in a restaurant like this. Unfortunately, the asparagus wasn't peeled well (I had tons of inedible asparagus scraps on my plate after the meal), and if you say something, you get an apology, but that's it... for a dish that costs €30 for asparagus, potatoes, a mediocre hollandaise sauce, and ham, there should be something more than just an apology! The prices are pretty high anyway, but if everything's just right, it's still okay. Let's see if someone in charge takes note and does things differently next year.

We were invited to dinner at this asparagus restaurant today. The food was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Reservations are recommended. It was busy. Parking was also quite easy.

You can sit in a pleasant greenhouse, which can be opened in the summer. The strawberry secco is recommended.

The Böser asparagus restaurant is open for a few weeks a year from April to June. We've been there at least six times, and each time it's been a highlight. We always enjoy it. We'll definitely be back next year. A must for anyone who loves asparagus and strawberries.

Der erste Eindruck war :"Ist das riesig"! Wir kamen um 17 uhr, da waren nur wenige Kunden da. Man kann sowohl draussen als auch drinnen sitzen. Da es sehr heiß war, entschieden wir uns für innen. Es war sehr gemütlich mit einem kühlen Lüftchen. Wurden sehr nett empfangen und beraten. Ein junges, kompetentes Team, das einen aufmerksamen und profesionellen Service lieferte. Das Essen war wirklich schmackhaft und die Portionen ausreichend. Wie es sich gehört war die Hollandaise selbst aufgeschlagen. Die Maispoulardenbrust war von sehr guter Qualität und der Schlafrock ein Träumchen. Vor dem Essen unbedingt an den Eisstand und ne Kugel Erdbeereis probieren! So etwas bekommt man nicht so schnell wieder.

Years ago, I drove past the asparagus farm in my truck and told myself, one day I'd go eat there. Today was the day! Upon arrival, you're pleasantly surprised by the number of parked cars; you're happy to have found a busy place. So many visitors can't be wrong?! Since we had a reservation, we were quickly seated. I would describe the ambiance as spacious yet homey; you feel at ease. Orders are taken quickly, the staff are well-trained, competent, and hard-working (shoutout to Ms. Jack). The aperitif, non-alcoholic strawberry punch, was at a good temperature and delicious, and no expense was spared on the strawberry garnish. The asparagus cream soup was creamy, well-seasoned, and here, too, the garnish, the main ingredient (asparagus), was potent. The main course, asparagus spears with potatoes and corn-fed chicken, was delicious and the portion size was perfectly acceptable. The corn-fed chicken seemed small compared to the rest of the plate, but that was deceptive, and I'm a big eater. The main ingredients, such as the asparagus, potatoes, and hollandaise sauce, were convincing, but I would like to highlight one small detail: the crushed red pepper over the asparagus; it was simply delicious. I could still taste the aroma after eating it, just inhaling it. The dessert, consisting of the chocolate cake with a liquid center and strawberries, was a dream, as was the yogurt ice cream with strawberries. You don't expect much from yogurt ice cream, but this one really blew me away. Here, too, the main character, the strawberry, was omnipotent. I'll summarize it briefly with my wife's words: You don't know which one to mourn more after you've finished it! Nothing to add to that! To all the penny pinchers out there, it's not cheap, but it's worth every cent. Goethe didn't call asparagus the king of vegetables for nothing. If you want to dine like a king, you'll have to dig a little deeper into your pockets! Question for the Böser team: How do you get the ice cream so cold without it crystallizing? The apple spritzer was also nice and cold, yet still sparkling?

Unfortunately, the kitchen isn't what it used to be. In recent years, more emphasis has been placed on hygiene, and the food is also better cooked. It's a shame... we often had to wait too long for a waiter to come to our table. I hope for a better next year, given the price. 😔

This was my second time there. It's only open during asparagus and strawberry season. You can also buy fresh asparagus and strawberries in the farm shop. They also sell wine and other products. Everything that can be made from it. I'd be happy to go back. Highly recommended.

We were at the asparagus restaurant last Saturday around 5 p.m. There were very few guests at the restaurant at that time—at least twice as many wait staff as guests—but we still had to wait about 10 minutes and make ourselves known before someone bothered to take our drink order. Now for the dishes: Asparagus soup—the asparagus flavor was almost drowned out by the excessive cream. Asparagus salad—lacking in imagination—could have been made much better with two kinds of asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, and Parmesan cheese. The main course: Baden pancakes with asparagus ragout—very thin and pale pancakes, completely lacking in flavor. The asparagus ragout was also rather bland—the chef apparently hadn't heard of fresh herbs and clever spices. Conclusion: very disappointing at this price point.

Sitting in the beer garden is much more pleasant than the noisy and often very warm interior. The asparagus is sometimes too soft, and the food always arrives very quickly and prepared. In our opinion, the prices have become too high.

Everything was incredibly good. The service was excellent. The food was fantastic. Highly recommended!

The Pinot Blanc and the sauces were good. The veal weighed 200-250 grams, but was well done instead of medium and dry. On the plate were about 8 asparagus spears, rather thin and lacking in flavor. The potato wedges were crispy but unsalted. For a dish that costs almost €36, I expect more. The value for money isn't good.

I don't understand all the great reviews. The schnitzel was too dry, the fries looked like they were cooked in old fat, the asparagus lacked flavor and was too soft, and the hollandaise sauce came from a carton. The carpaccio was good, but there were way too many walnuts on it for the right proportions. The pancake was good. The strawberry tiramisu was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive.

This is the number one recommendation for asparagus lovers. Asparagus comes in many variations, with meat, fish, or vegetarian options. I ordered steamed salmon with asparagus, and everything was cooked to perfection. Dessert with strawberries wasn't just for decoration, but to fill you up. The service is very friendly and attentive, very organized, and there were no long waits. The restaurant is very large, but it was still busy, but not too crowded and not too loud; you could still have a good conversation.

As an asparagus alternative, "schnitzel" is absolutely not recommended! It's a dry, pre-made schnitzel. Completely inedible and not worth the price.

Reservations are recommended, especially for the evening. It's a mass-production restaurant, like an assembly line, but the food is still high quality. Consistently friendly service. We come every year.

If there were Michelin stars here, Böser would be among them. The focus here is on the guest, even if there's still plenty of room for improvement in terms of prices. Prices are outrageously high despite rising inflation, etc. - but there are still people who can and want to afford them...

The food and service were very good. However, the prices were very high. Especially when you're sitting at the asparagus farm, you'd expect slightly cheaper prices. However, the entire restaurant is heavily geared toward "mass processing"...

Considering that they grow their own asparagus and strawberries, I think the prices are a bit high. Overall, we were quite satisfied with the quality and taste. The main courses were delicious. Dessert included strawberry tiramisu – which was very dry. My only complaint about the vegetarian menu is that they serve regular Parmesan cheese with it – it's made with animal rennet and is therefore NOT vegetarian. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating.

Böser's asparagus restaurant is worth the trip from Frankfurt 😊. This isn't just a meal, it's a real treat. The kitchen not only excels at asparagus, but the side dishes (I had veal steak and potato wedges) were also delicious! Excellent service from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave completes the experience. I'm happy to pay the slightly higher price. I'll definitely make the trip again before the season ends.

May 2025 - 2 stars: We visited the Böser asparagus restaurant several times in 2024 and were satisfied. For this reason, the Mother's Day family dinner at Böser will be held again this year. Unfortunately neither the food nor the service was really good today. I still understand the service, as the location was very busy at around 3 p.m. However, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly compared to last year. The asparagus wasn't al dente, the hollandaise didn't taste good and the breaded schnitzel was definitely not freshly prepared, but rather a frozen convenience product that had been cooked in the deep fryer. Last year the hollandaise was marketed as home-made and offered for sale in bottles and I was happy to take advantage of this offer as it tasted convincing. This year I would avoid it. Unfortunately! I think it's a shame that it didn't work out today! May 2024 - 5 stars: Today we had a family dinner at the Böser asparagus restaurant. It was our first visit there and certainly not the last. The food was great, very attractively prepared and the service was excellent. I didn't have high expectations of either the location (tent) or the food (I was thinking more of a fast food restaurant) and I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The overall impression of the restaurant, the food and drinks offered, the service and also the sanitary facilities...in a word: flawless!

Went here for lunch with a friend today. The service staff were really very friendly, always present and took good care of us. We ordered the vegetarian dressing gown (pancakes with asparagus). The taste was very good, but I was very surprised that the portion was so small for the price, i.e. a very thin herb pancake with 4/5 thin pieces of asparagus in it. I'm not a person who can eat a lot at once and I usually have to have food packed, but in this case I actually wasn't completely full afterwards. We were able to sit outside and I found the ambience of the asparagus restaurant very pleasant.

We had lunch with 10 people at the Spargel Restaurant. The food is expensive. The quality is very good. The staff is attentive. We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

The food is okay, but unfortunately warm buffet food… the price is not justified. We sat in a tent next to the toilet. For 25 euros asparagus with sauce and 3 potatoes... that's not justified and I expect a little more.

The food itself was very good, the meat (corn-fed chicken and veal steak) was very good, side dishes and asparagus were also very good. The only thing that spoils the overall impression is that the hollandaise and the gravy were probably convenience products. Service top and very friendly. Ladies toilets unfortunately dingy, towels empty, toilet paper on the floor.

We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. Were welcomed very friendly and shown to the table. . The food was excellent. In addition to the daily recommendation of schnitzel tagitelle and asparagus, there was also a dessert with apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and cream, which was extremely delicious!! Yes, it's a great event. The selection of asparagus dishes is fantastic, very well prepared All 7 people got the food together. We have enjoyed going there at Easter for years with the whole family of seven. Everything is recommended as always, but unfortunately it has become more expensive again... like everything else too! Unfortunately disappointing – unique experience Unfortunately, the spring salad was just average: hardly any asparagus, very little dressing and overall quite tasteless. The main course – asparagus with pancakes – was successful and tasted convincing. However, the service left a lot to be desired. It seemed as if the staff were not sufficiently trained; Orders were taken that could not be implemented later. What was particularly negative was that the boss seemed to be indifferent to the inconvenience caused. However, a gentleman from the service department who clearly tried to find a solution and remained friendly should be highlighted positively - unfortunately without support from management. Overall, it was a unique experience that didn't leave a lasting positive impression. In my opinion, there are no plans to repeat it.

Very tasty food, the service was a bit stressful, but that's normal when there's a lot going on. In my opinion the prices are above average, but to do it once it's okay.

We were here for the first time. Basically everything was good. Only my starter (beef carpaccio) was less... the meat was a bit difficult to cut and there were only 5 pieces of green asparagus - disappointing. We had dinner today and the service was very, very bad! Since one children's meal came after 1 minute and the other after asking twice if it was coming, it came at some point! I don't know why it's so difficult to put a pancake and some asparagus on your plate! We had ordered dessert and something to drink for the children - it was supposedly accepted but it was apparently not after we asked 4 times and was shouted at very rudely by "Mrs. Chiara" - it's not her area. We also waited a long time for the bill and it was said several times and of course, like everything else, it wasn't passed on! 4 people clear a table where 6 people are sitting at it but prefer to let the children die of thirst! Never again!

Our waitress doesn't behave like a service person, but rather a bit arrogant. The rest, reception, food, room but still great.

Wir waren zum Gänseessen in diesem Lokal und leider war es eine große Enttäuschung. Die Gänseportionen waren derart trocken, ausgedörrt und teilweise verkohlt, dass sie ungenießbar waren. Zwar waren die Beilagen – Knödel, Soße und Rotkohl – in Ordnung, aber das Hauptgericht hat den Abend komplett ruiniert. Das Ambiente erinnert mehr an eine Kantine als an ein Restaurant: Man setzt sich, bekommt zügig ein Getränk, und keine zehn Minuten später steht schon das Essen auf dem Tisch. Alles wirkt gehetzt und wenig einladend. Von einem gemütlichen Winterzauber oder einem genussvollen Gänseessen war das Ganze meilenweit entfernt. Fazit: Absolut nicht empfehlenswert.

Unfortunately very poor value for money. Very expensive dishes, but only normal portion sizes. The meat is not freshly prepared - just warmed up or fully cooked. The schnitzels in particular are small, dry and fatty. And for the fact that you hardly have a restaurant feeling, the prices are simply far too high. Sorry, but I don't recommend it.

Es ist leider nicht mehr das was es mal war. Der Frühlingssalat ist aus der Packung, das Vinaigrette fade. Ich hatte noch den „Schlafrock“ - was ist denn da passiert? So etwas schlechtes habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gehabt. Die Sauce Hollandaise - was war das? Geschmackloses gallertartige Masse. Hat leider niemanden interessiert als ich es ansprach. Die Portionen sind auch stark geschrumpft… Wir waren zu viert. 2x Schlafrock, 1x Stangenspargel, 1x spargelgemüse. Wir waren alle unzufrieden. Schade.

My omelet with asparagus was delicious. The strawberries in the dessert are delicious, aromatic and sweet. If you want to eat good asparagus, the Böser Spargelrestaurant is the right address.

We were there with 7 people and four people were very satisfied with their asparagus meal! However, all three people were extremely dissatisfied with schnitzel for eating asparagus; frozen schnitzel (convenience) in the lowest price category was hard, tasteless and not even fresh from the deep fryer. We didn't expect this in the price range >€30 for the food and a large competitor on the south side of Karlsruhe makes it fresh in the same price range. Would we give the asparagus restaurant another chance under the current operator? I do not think so!

Despite a maximum of 30% occupancy, the service was slow. With the asparagus there was also a very dry ready-made schnitzel at a very high price. I used to like being here...

There were 6 people and we were expecting more from it. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio wasn't right. For an asparagus farm that ultimately sits at the source, we were served a very manageable portion. The drinks are also heavily "supplied". Our willingness to pay so much money for so little service is limited. We'll look elsewhere - the competition is fierce!

Unfortunately, it is no longer the number 1 address for eating asparagus. Thick and unfortunately somewhat “woody” asparagus, very confident prices, service not very attentive and “lost” for a long time. The ambience was never the big highlight at the Spargelacker, but it was accepted as practical given the positive experiences of the past.

It was my first time here and I can say that the atmosphere here was good, but value for money needs to adjust a bit. I ordered pancakes with vegetables and my mother ordered schnitzel with fries. The meat was tasty but a small piece. Strawberry cake cost 9.50, I think the price is too expensive.

Wow, this is huge with over 300 seats inside. The service and the kitchen are super good. A slightly slower operation is immediately noticeable. Otherwise the food is not cheap, but the quality and taste are good.

If you would like to go out for a fine meal and also value the ambience, this is the wrong place... for me it was more of a mass process, the dishes were served in no time, regardless of whether it was a starter, main course or dessert... it seemed to me that as if everything had already been prepared, although the service staff was very committed, the asparagus was excellent, the schnitzel was more like the sole of a shoe and as if it had been baked in a deep fryer... the price/performance ratio isn't quite right in my opinion either... if you want to eat freshly picked asparagus, that's it here on the safe side
