Restaurant Olympia in Dresden

We had dinner at Olympia with friends. [We used the "Schlemmerblock" and this didn't go down very well. There was no welcome ouzo and no ouzo for the bill. This had happened a few weeks before without a gourmet block. ] This time we used the food in buffet form again with the 2 for 1 offer. We were allowed to fill the plate once for the starter, main course and dessert - not all you can eat as usual. This meant that the gourmet block was rather inconvenient but well, what do you want to do. The taste of the food was typically Greek. Tasty but also very rich. Service was very reserved this time. Ambiance is just a bit poor. All in all, 4/5 * is completely okay. There is still room for improvement. Maybe next time.

Many of us had already ordered delivery to our homes, as I said, there was a lot going on that day, many also had it delivered to their homes, no complaints. A young lady calls us after they have eaten the food (or not) and said on the phone that she would refund the money, so the waiter said that the order could be given out again. Well, he couldn't have said anything more. The thing is, after the whole conversation, you write such a bad review just because you didn't get your money back... I honestly find it very sad! It's also a serious thing that only those people tasted bad the food, I mean there was a lot going on that day, a few more people could have written something bad about it, but oh well. A gentleman by the name of Rixx had reserved a table for 6 people on March 28th and on March 28th two of my waiters got sick and they canceled that day and how could he have known that our waiters were sick if he didn't even In order to find a replacement, I hired other waiters to work.

So why the store has 4.4 stars is more than unclear to me. The food was cold, the meat was the cheapest of the cheapest, more fat than meat, the sauce was comparable to water, tzatziki tasted almost like mold, the portion itself was an absolute joke, mind you, almost 20 euros for a meal, not even a handful of fries which were also totally rubbish, on the whole a complete disappointment and a great shame for our money, even when we spoke to the "restaurant" on the phone, no criticism was accepted, no apology, compensation or anything similar, just the sentence " 75 people Today, no one said anything like that, what should I do now?" Top shop, if you want to waste your money and want anything other than Greek food, please have fun! I'm really not picky when it comes to food, but I've honestly rarely experienced something like this. Never again..

We were there with the gourmet block - which was rejected on Friday evening. Unfortunately, it wasn't written anywhere. We stayed there anyway and ordered from the menu. When I got salt/pepper from the buffet to season it - it was taken away from me - it was probably decorative - the spice that was supplied was also more decorative 😅. Unfortunately, neither of us tolerated the food well... The facility could also use a backup.

How terrible can delivery service be? Bifteki with feta doesn't deserve the name, meat almost cold, not good quality. The cheapest packaging that doesn't keep you warm is used for delivery. . There was just a hint of feta 5g or less in the meat. The meat and tomato rice had a neutral taste. Very small portion, had to eat a cheese sandwich afterwards. Farmer's salad was just as bland and tasteless. Seldom eaten so badly. And that for 30€! Has the owner changed somehow? That used to be way better. This won't happen to us again.

Avoid at all costs. Constructive criticism comes from all guests and could be heard and seen as a suggestion. Maybe there will be a second or third chance. We have enjoyed staying here again and again for decades. After the change of ownership, there is now a clear reduction in the quality of the food and service, and the buffet is no longer so generous with refills. Of course the prices only go up. It was the last visit for us.

It was our first time at Olympia and what we immediately noticed was that the furniture was outdated and very worn, especially the benches. The salad selection at the buffet wasn't really great. It was only refilled when it was empty and what is out of the question for me is that it smells like old fat and the squid rings also taste like old fat.

The third star is only given because the service is friendly... We had the food delivered and I can't say it was tasty at all. The food was cold. There was suflaki which had more fat than meat, which I didn't know at all. The gyro with metaxa sauce had more fatty pieces in it than meat. The savings on rice were more than exorbitant. The garlic bread wasn't even crispy, as if it had just been put on the grill for a short time. We also ordered extra zarziki which was forgotten but we still had to pay. (But we didn't notice it until a little later.) Conclusion: We don't recommend it. It used to be really tasty but today it was anything but tasty. At least the customers are treated very friendly

(takeaway food) The portion size is very good (plenty), but unfortunately the taste didn't convince us as a Greek restaurant: it tastes too irrelevant, the typical Greek, the love in the food is missing. Olive oil, herbs, olives. It's too expensive for that. However, garlic is not spared. The starter “Saganaki” was disappointing: This is 1 breaded and fried feta, without any side dish or sauce for €8.50. - The restaurant and the beer garden are very nicely decorated but it is far too warm inside in the summer (feels like 40 degrees).

For a Saturday there was relatively less going on at 7 p.m., but the service was super fast and friendly and you got an ouzo on the house right when you ordered. The food is very tasty and the buffet has a moderate selection. Gyros is the meat that underlies most dishes. Of course there is also fish, fried squid, cordon bleu and the usual dishes like potatoes and rice. Once a month we try the Greek buffet and leave us feeling pleasantly full.

When an Indian greets you at a Greek restaurant and brings you to the table... The beginning of a great evening. Previous reservations had worked, although it was only slightly full that evening and you would definitely have gotten a seat even without it. We ultimately decided on the buffet and that was exactly right. Great selection and it tasted very good too. Only the fries and potato wedges were anything but crispy. Don't expect much from the dessert, it was ok. But given the price-performance ratio you have to give it some thought. Here you can eat as much as you want at the buffet for €22.90. That really speaks for itself. In addition, we had a voucher through the Schlemmerbook that the 2nd person eats for free. We also showed it right at the beginning. It also worked without any problems. The entire service, including always quickly clearing away old dishes, was impeccable. The traces of time have not gone unnoticed on the interior. But everything was clean and we are looking forward to the next visit because we will definitely come back. Addendum: Were there a second time now. This al with friends who also had a gourmet book. Now, however, this was refused to allow us to serve ourselves fully at the buffet. Now it said. With Schlemmerbook a salad plate, a main course plate and one dessert. Our repeated advice that we were only there a few weeks ago and that there were no restrictions was completely ignored. So it's a gamble here and this time it was a very bad experience in terms of service. Due to the uncertainty of how guests and the Schlemmerbook are treated here, we can no longer give a very good recommendation.

The service at Olympia Restaurant in Dresden is really great. I went there with my family and I'm so glad I chose this restaurant because the food was delicious and the staff are really hospitable. I recommend everyone to go there with their family.

The restaurant offers a daily buffet (€22.90/person). There is a large selection of different Greek specialties, with a salad bar and dessert. The staff, especially the assistants, are very friendly. You should definitely reserve in advance.

We wanted to try a new restaurant and since we hadn't been to a Greek restaurant for a long time, it was Olympia. First of all, I thought it was great how easy it was to reserve a table online. The restaurant was busy when we arrived. But the staff was very friendly and competent and seemed to have everything well under control. We were quickly shown to our table and despite the many guests it felt cozy (I've had a completely different experience elsewhere). The decor is tasteful and there is a play area for children in the basement, as I saw on the way to the toilet. We ate all you can eat, although our 8-year-old daughter was asked about her age and then only cost half the price. There was a large selection of many delicious dishes at the buffet. There was a hot buffet, a salad buffet and a sweet buffet. It was always refilled immediately, so that despite the many guests you were never left with empty containers. We ate very well, everything was very tasty. And once again a big compliment to the lovely waitresses, who always had a smile on their faces despite the stress and hustle and bustle. We would be happy to come by again soon.

I've been eating at Olympia regularly for years, always for the evening buffet and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive, as I unfortunately know from other restaurants. The food selection at the buffet leaves nothing to be desired, there are a number of salads, delicious meat dishes and many different vegetable variations and side dishes. You always feel welcome and the quality of service has never suffered due to the large number of visitors; a reservation makes sense. Gladly again and again. :)

Calamari partly not through. Fries were listed as a free side dish, but I still had to pay extra for them. My bill was split into 2 bills - fries said on both, free on one, chargeable on the other, along with 2 of my drinks. But only one portion was ordered. Looks like fraud to me...

Still a pleasant restaurant. Even though the staff has changed now, I like to go to my neighbors every now and then.

My vouchers for the all-you-can-eat buffet, which I had purchased through Groupon just 6 days before and had already paid for, were not accepted because there was supposedly no longer an active business relationship with Groupon. No concession or accommodation from the employees. The restaurant manager only told the waiters that I had to get the money back via Groupon. Thank you too! Since I had invited several older guests to the Olympia, we had no choice but to resort to the à la carte menu. Eating from the all-you-can-eat buffet at the original price of €21.90 per person (!) really wouldn't have been worth it given the expected consumption of the older people. The fact is: If I had been there alone or just with my wife, I would have preferred another restaurant in the area. Whatever has led to the collaboration between Groupon and OLYMPIA being suspended, at least for the moment, it is unacceptable that the customer has to suffer as a result and is caught off guard in such a way. Unpleasant, yes, in front of mine Guests being turned away so abruptly. There could have been some concession from the management in the form that we could, for example, have taken part in the buffet at the price stated on Groupon (€16.50). But there was no way there either. But the food itself tasted good. However, the menu is very clear, which may have something to do with the buffet. It could be that a more extensive menu is used on days without a buffet. At the end there was the usual ouzo, but here again there was no gesture of apology or at least an attempt at "appeasement" in the form of a coffee or something similar. Weak. Conclusion: A lot of avoidable hassle, a greatly reduced à la carte offer and little to no effort to solve problems quickly and in a customer-friendly manner. We probably won't be going there again anytime soon.

We thought we'd go to the Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, this restaurant has nothing Greek other than the name. Neither the staff and certainly no one in the kitchen. A pity. Total waste of money

Wir wollten mit dem Schlemmerblock Gutschein essen gehen. Laut Gutschein ist ein Hauptgericht gratis. Uns wurde erzählt, dass der nur für das Buffet zählt und man nur einmal den Teller (zusammen mit Salat und Nachtisch) füllen darf. Ich fühlte mich letztendlich betrogen. Der indische Grschäftsführer erzählte eine Geschichte das der Fehler beim Schlemmerblock liegt etc.. also nicht einsichtig. Wir haben dann einfach a la Vater bestellt, muss aber auch sagen, dass der Suvlaki Teller nur mit Reis nicht sehr ergiebig war… Ich bin etwas anderes vom Griechen gewohnt.. schade!

Starters tasted good, but there were few. The main courses were very tasty and plentiful, but the bread was hand-fetched from the buffet by the waiter. The plates were put away just as you were putting the last bite into your mouth. When paying by card, €4 more was deducted than we should have paid, which unfortunately we only noticed later.

We went to the Olympia today to eat because we discovered the restaurant in the Schlemmerblock. The service was also very nice at first and when we asked for the voucher we were immediately looked at strangely. We were told that only a buffet was possible (which isn't a bad thing), but then you were only allowed to take one plate per person for salad and main course and a small plate of dessert. That's it. When you went to the buffet you were observed very closely to make sure you didn't take more than one plate and didn't go to the buffet more than once. The food was OK, but nothing special.

I ordered online. When the food wasn't there after 40 minutes, I called. It said delivery would take place in 20 minutes. After another 30 minutes I called again. Suddenly they said there was no home delivery at all. Apparently they don't know anything about the services they offer online.

Eat like the gods on Mount Olympus. The Olympia is a nice Greek restaurant with a nice buffet. The selection of dishes is very classic and offers everything you would expect from a Greek restaurant. If you don't feel like the buffet, you can also choose dishes from the menu. The staff is friendly and serves quite quickly. In fact, the Olympia is furnished quite simply - without appearing bare. You won't find opulent statues and kitschy Greek decorations - but that's not a bad thing. We are there every now and then and will be there more often in the future. 4/5

Uns hat es gestern sehr gut gefallen. Die Speisen wurden immer wieder frisch aufgefüllt, es gab 4 Beilagen zur Auswahl und reichlich Fleisch und Fisch. Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt.Auch das Salatangebot ist reichlich genauso wie das Dessert, alles sehr schmackhaft. Der weite Weg nach DD hat sich gelohnt und wir kommen wieder. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können es nur weiter empfehlen. Dafür das es Buffet gibt ist die Speisekarte sehr übersichtlich, da weiss man das es frisch ist.

Die Gaststätte ist gemütlich und für einen Familienabend sehr gut geeignet. Der Service könnte bisschen besser sein. Leider wurde unsere online abgeschlosse Reservierung nicht angenommen obwohl diese (durch ein Formular) bestätigt wurde. Wozu dann ein Internetauftritt mit möglichen Reservierungen?

Wir haben heute zum zweiten Mal Essen zum Liefern bestellt. Das Essen kam warm an und war sehr lecker. Der Fahrer (Omar) war außerdem über-pünktlich und sehr freundlich!

Wir hatten Silvester für 17 Personen gebucht und als wir da waren wurde uns gesagt, es gibt nur Buffet, obwohl in der Speisekarte die Speisen angeboten worden. Für einen Erwachsenen kam das Buffet 30 Euro und Kinder 17,50€ Wir sind dann alle wieder gegangen. Das war definitiv zu teuer. Wir waren schon oft in diesem Restaurant, das war gestern das letzte Mal.

Es war ein super schöner Abend.

...das Essen war lecker und immer genug wieder aufgefüllt. Das Servicepersonal hat immer gleich die schmutzigen Teller wieder vom Tisch entfernt und war sehr aufmerksam, auch was das Bringen von Getränken betraf. Ich war erst skeptisch, weil es zu Weihnachten kein typisches Weihnachtsessen beim Griechen gab, aber das leckere Essen und die zufriedene Verwandtschaft haben uns das schnell vergessen lassen.

Wenig Parkplätze, trotz vorheriger Bestellung wurde der Tisch erst bei unserem Eintreffen in entsprechende Größe zusammengestellt. Zum Mittagessen gab es ein Buffet. Mit Austeilen der Speisekarte hätte die kurze Info "bitte nur Getränke wählen" erfolgen können. Man wusste nicht ob man die Speisen lt. Karte doch bestellen kann und es gibt einen Unterschied zu der Speisekarte im Internet... . Das Essen ist sehr gut.

Leider kann ich zum Essen nichts sagen, ich habe es nicht erhalten. Das Essen wurde für Samstag 19 Uhr nach Hause bestellt. Als es nicht geliefert wurde, rief ich an und fragte nach. Man sagte mir, Samstags wird nicht geliefert. Eigenartig ist, dass man das Essen aber als Lieferung bestellen kann. Ich bat daher die Lieferung für Sonntag vornehmen zu lassen, was akzeptiert wurde und ich per Mail eine Bestätigung erhielt. Sonntag rief ich ab 20.30 Uhr dreimal im Restaurant an und fragte nach, wo das Essen bleibt. Antwort der Mitarbeiter: Das Essen ist unterwegs. 21 Uhr habe ich erfolgreich meine Onlinezahlung rückgängig gemacht. Wie dreist ist das denn, was Einem da vorgegaukelt wird ?!

Haben über Lieferservice bestellt und nach über 2h warten haben wir dann mal angerufen. Erst wurde und gesagt der Fahrer sei unterwegs. Nach einer halben Stunde war das Essen immernoch nicht da und haben erneut angerufen. Dann sollte der Fahrer angerufen werden welcher sich angeblich nicht zurück gemeldet hat. Kurz danach hat die Frau am Telefon gemeint es gäbe die Bestellung nicht trotz das ich die Bestätigung bekommen habe. Die Frau am Telefon hat dann einfach aufgelegt. ABSURT!!

Wir haben Essen in diesem Restaurant bei einem Lieferservice bestellt. Eine halbe Stunde nach dem angegebenen Liefertermin wurde die Bestellung seitens des Restaurants (knapp 2 Stunden nach Bestellung) kommentarlos storniert.

Angenehme Atmosphäre und gute griechische Küche vom Büffett und a la Carte.

Das Abend Buffett hat ein sensationelles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Tolle Salatbar Buffett ist auch mit Nachspeisen.

Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, den Blick immer auf den Gästen, wohlschmeckendes Buffet mit großer Auswahl, sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen wieder.

Leckeres Essen und einfache Reservierung

Ganz großartig, super Service und unheimlich nett. Das Buffet sehr üppig, abwechslungsreich und verflixt lecker. Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Das Ambiente passt perfekt, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder denn wir hatten einen guten Abend. Buffet war spitze... tolle Auswahl und geschmacklich sehr gut. Der Service ist gut, Personal freundlich, nur kleine Kommunikationsfehler. Aber darüber kann man hinwegsehen:) Parkplätze sind eher schwierig zu finden.

Meine Frau und Ich waren schon gut und gerne 10-mal hier gewesen und genossen jeden einzelnen dieser Besuche. Das Ambiente ist absolut stimmig und das merkt man schon vor dem Restauranteingang - eine Büste und eine Statue eines Olympioniken. Viele verschiedene Bilder von griechischer Mentalität und Kulturen hängen wunderbar platziert an der Wand. Abgerundet wird das Ambiente durch ein Regal in der Mitte des Restaurants gefüllt mit einer Vielzahl von griechischen Weinsorten und verschiedenen Dekorationen. Die Mahlzeiten und die Getränke findet man handelsüblich in der Speisekarte. Ersteres kann auch als Buffet-Option ausgewählt werden, welches sehr reichhaltig und viel Auswahl bereithält. Egal, ob man sich für à la carte oder das Buffet entscheidet, mit einem Ouzo wird man in jedem Fall begrüßt. In der Buffetvariante hat man die breitgefächerte Wahl zwischen verschiedenen Gyros-Variationen, Suzuki, Panierte Kalamari, Hähnchenfilets und vielem mehr. Ausgewählte Fleischspeisen gibt es aber auch in Metaxasauce oder Tomatensauce. Als Beilagen gibt es Knoblauchkartoffeln in Form von Spalten, Klassische Pommes Frites, ein wunderbar geröstetes Knoblauchbaguette oder einen typischen griechischen Bauernsalat, den man noch mit Oliven, Hirtenkäse oder auch eingelegter Paprika verfeinern kann. Aber auch vegetarische Alternativen kommen hier noch dazu, wie in etwa in Form von Blumenkohl oder auch Champignons in feiner Soße. Alles kann dazu nach belieben noch mit dem fantastischen, selbstgemachten Tzaziki getoppt werden. Aber auch die Nach- und Süßspeisen können sich sehen und schmecken lassen. Da gibt es kleine Honig- und Schokostreuselküchlein, Vanille- und Schokoladenpudding und klassische Eiscremé in den Geschmacksrichtungen von Vanille, Schokolade und Erdbeere. Davon kann auch nochmal alles mit einem Spritzer Honig, Zimt oder auch Naturjoghurt abgerundet werden. Der Service ist absolut zuvorkommend, geht auf Wünsche ein und gibt einem das Gefühl, dass man hier mehr als Wilkommen ist. Eine wunderbare Herzlichkeit dem Gast gegenüber. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und das nicht nur einmal! αντίο!

Wenn Sie griechischen Salat essen möchten, ist dies der richtige Ort. Wir waren am Abendbuffet, nichts anzusehen. Und wenn Sie nichts trinken, können Sie nur zwei Mahlzeiten zu sich nehmen, das sollten Sie im Hinterkopf behalten. Das heißt, wenn Sie essen möchten, nehmen Sie alles auf einmal, dann finden Sie heraus, was lecker ist und was nicht. Wenn Ihnen die Kartoffeln ausgehen, wird dies nicht gemeldet. Der Fisch ist zu Ende, das reicht, und niemand kümmert sich darum, dass man erst um 18.30 Uhr angekommen ist und die Hälfte des ekligen Essens schon weg ist.

Super leckeres Buffet mit genug Auswahl und nettes Personal

Ein wunderbares Ambiente, ein reichhaltiges super leckeres großes Buffett, mit sehr viel Auswahl. Es werden ständig frisch gekochte Speisen nachgelegt, so, dass das Essen schön warm ist. Super leckere Salat Theke mit herrlich frischem Tzatziki. Zum Abschluss gab es Eis, griechischen Joghurt und Paradies-Puddingcreme. Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Zur Begrüßung gab es für jeden einen kleinen Ouzo, für die Kinder eine Alkoholfreie Variante. Der Buffett Preis ist etwas teuer, aber voll gerechtfertigt. Es hat uns allen sehr sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Parkplatz Situation ist etwas schwierig, am Besten mit den Öffentlichen kommen, die Haltestelle befinden sich unmittelbar davor. 👍👍👍

our visit to this greek restaurant for a private celebration of five adults had its ups and downs. the ambiance, though lacking appropriate music, offered a cozy setting. While the slightly overcooked fish was disappointing, the other dishes were satisfactory, and the pricing could be reconsidered. however, the standout aspect of the evening was undoubtedly the attentive service we received. although improvements can be made, this restaurant holds potential to deliver a more consistent and memorable experience in the future.

War ein sehr schöner Abend essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt

Wir waren zur Schuleinführung mit der ganzen Familie da. Wir bedanken uns für das tolle Essen. Es war sehr angenehm.

Es ist sehr lecker, aber was mich stört ist das wenn mann sich etwas vom büffet holt das jemand auf den Teller guckt und einen beobachtet. (der Service)

Sehr leckeres all you can eat Büfett. Gute Auswahl, alles was wir probiert haben hat gut geschmeckt. Das Fleisch und die Soßen waren sehr gut. Auch die sanitäre Einrichtung war sauber.

Dieses Restaurant ist sehr empfehlendswert, gemütlich und mit freundlichen Gastgebern. Ansprechendes und wohlschmeckendes Buffet, danke wir kommen gerne wieder. C.Keller

Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service war auch sehr gut!

Das Ambiente war sehr schön modern eingerichtet. Das Buffetessen war okay. Es war nicht schlecht aber auch keine kulinarische Höchstleistung. Es wurde ständig kontrolliert ob alles da ist. So konnte man immer alles erhalten. Parken kann man direkt davor seitlich in der Strasse.

Das Angebot an den typischen Grilltellern ist leider nicht vorhanden. Speisenangebot sehr übersichtlich. Geschmacklich ist das Angebot in Ordnung.

Es war ein sehr angenehmer Abend. Freundliches, aber nicht aufsringliches Personal, super leckeres Essen am Buffet und ein nettes Ambiente, nicht zu groß. Am besten immer bestellen. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder. Danke

Wir haben heute in geselliger Runde einen 60. Geburtstag im Olympia gefeiert. Der Tisch wurde zuvor von den Angestellten mit unseren mitgebrachten Servietten und Blumen gedeckt, was wir sehr nett fanden. Das Buffet war... wie immer... wieder sehr lecker und daran gab es wirklich gar nichts zu beanstanden. Uns ist allerdings aufgefallen, dass an allen Tischen Ouzo ausgeteilt wurde, nur an unserem "Geburtstagstisch" gab es leider gar keinen... auch nicht zum Abschluss nach Bezahlung der Rechnung. Das fanden wir sehr schade und traurig.

Gutes griechisches Restaurant. Leider hat die Auswahl am Buffet etwas nachgelassen. Es gibt z.B. keinen Krautsalat (beim Griechen?) und die Desserts sind eher low-Budget. Dagegen steht der Preis von 22,90€ pro Person. Gibt es bessere Buffets zum gleichen Preis!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Allerdings wäre wichtig, besonders im Sommer, dass im Internet und auch als erstes in der Karte auf das tägliche Buffet hingewiesen wird. Man wundert sich über die sehr kleine Karte und hat das Buffet gar nicht auf dem Schirm.
