I've been coming to Olive for a while now and I always feel completely at ease. The food, the atmosphere, the service – everything is perfect! Bale, the owner, is especially amazing: warm, attentive, and truly passionate about what she does. Such hospitality is rare. Thank you for the wonderful evenings ❤️

We've enjoyed eating at the Olive Restaurant for years and have been very satisfied every time. Last week was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate. Unfortunately, we didn't have a great evening at the restaurant this time. The waiter had a very dubious sense of humor and judged our drinking habits when we ordered a second homemade soda. I've been eating the Iskender Kebab for years. This time, unfortunately, it wasn't tasty at all. The meat was tough, and the tomato sauce tasted like a hot cup of instant soup. Unfortunately, no one even asked if it was tasty or whether it was tasty. This was our last visit to the Olive Restaurant after nine years.

I won't be visiting the restaurant again. The quality of the food leaves much to be desired. The meat is grilled to death and tough, and there aren't many vegetables. The value for money is completely out of proportion. The staff was completely stressed. I invited my boyfriend – it was supposed to be a special evening. He'll be unforgettable, too... We complained, but still paid the full amount. A shame. Never again. There are definitely better restaurants in Hamm.

We ate at Olive with eight people. All the dishes were very good. The service only gave us three stars because it took three attempts to serve the order correctly. The restaurant is very large, which, in my opinion, affects the ambiance.

A 3-course meal for 3 people, lots of meat and rice, and a bit too few vegetables. Very tasty, but a bit too much for 3 people. We were a bit cramped from the neighboring table, but it was okay. The setting was very friendly.

Anyone who reduces Turkish cuisine to doner kebabs has never been to the Olive. Here you'll find everything that defines Turkish cuisine. And the restaurant is also building an excellent reputation as a steakhouse. They know meat - but not only that! Unlike some other steak specialists, they also serve outstanding vegetarian cuisine. It's just a shame that too many people already know that the Olive in Hamm knows what guests want. You shouldn't even bother going without a reservation, and given the number of seats, you shouldn't expect too much privacy. Every square meter is used here to generate revenue. The fact that the service, even when there's a full house, still smiles and is attentive - as far as humanly possible - sometimes borders on a small gastronomic miracle. But it's nice that they're still there at the Olive.

The food is delicious and the service is top-notch. The only thing that needs to come down is the drink prices. Otherwise, a definite recommendation 👍 👌

I visit this restaurant regularly and am completely satisfied every time! The restaurant manager is very dedicated and caters to all requests – you feel completely welcome. The food is consistently delicious – whether it's Turkish specialties, dishes from the special steak menu, fish, appetizers, or desserts. Everything is fresh, prepared with love, and delicious. The drinks selection is also very good. The location is beautiful, the ambiance cozy and stylish. I would especially like to highlight the service staff: The waiters are attentive, friendly, and always on the ball – you can tell that the work here is done with passion. There are also regular great offers – there's something for everyone. I always enjoy coming back – I highly recommend it!

Drinks and desserts are ordered via a tablet. You also let us know if you'd like a member of staff at your table or if you'd like to pay. Unfortunately, after every order at the tablet, we had to wait a very long time for someone to come. And I'm talking waits of over 20 minutes. That might be fine when the restaurant is full, but not when the employee can sit down at a table with a group of other guests several times during that time to simply chat. Unfortunately, our food got cold during that time because we were missing part of our order and no one wanted to start until the entire order was at the table. We also had to wait a very long time to pay while the employee sat down again at the table with the aforementioned guests. I used to come here often and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, today was also my last visit.

The atmosphere is good. But the prices are way too high. You won't get enough to eat either. The bulgur was also cold. Considering the prices, more should be served. A 0.3l Coke for €4.80 is quite a lot.

We were there two years ago. The service was excellent and very attentive, constantly checking in between if everything was okay. Today we were there again with eight people for a 60th birthday party. We booked the birthday upgrade. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the table, they didn't even wait until everyone was seated (some went straight to the bathroom, since we had made the 1.5-hour drive). The waiter already came and explained the functions of the tablet to us. It wasn't that bad, but nobody asked about the "birthday boy or girl." We had to wait a long time before anyone even came to take our food, and every drink order took a really long time, at least 10-15 minutes. The birthday special included the "show act," where we had hoped the whole crew would literally create a good atmosphere, with several people bringing the cake to the table and everyone congratulating my mom on her birthday. Unfortunately, only one waiter came to place the cake on the table, and again, he didn't even ask whose birthday it was. No congratulations, nothing. This was truly disappointing. When you book something like this, you expect a little more attention and respect, especially for an anniversary like this. All in all, it was still a lovely evening, but the birthday upgrade was a bit disappointing. The food was delicious, top quality. We'd be happy to come back, just not for a birthday. There are restaurants that do this kind of thing with more enthusiasm, and for free.

I've been to this restaurant several times now and I'm always very satisfied. The staff is super friendly. I think it's a great idea that you use tablets on the tables to order drinks. The only thing that bothered me a bit during my visits was that the music was turned up a bit too loud at birthday parties. Overall, though, you can't go wrong here if you want to visit a good restaurant with friends or colleagues. The homemade peach lemonade is absolutely delicious.

You can immediately taste that quality is paramount here, and the food is prepared with love. The side dishes, appetizers, and drinks were also perfectly matched and delicately prepared. The drinks menu is well-thought-out, high-quality, and diverse. In every detail, you can sense passion, professionalism, and the desire to provide guests with an unforgettable evening. That's exactly what they achieved here – from the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything was just perfect. I'll definitely be back – and bring even more friends next time. Das beste Steak aus der Umgebung. Schmeckt immer wieder aufs neue lecker. Durch die lavaplatten ist selbst der letzte bissen noch warm. Der Service ist 1A sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wartezeit kann je nach Belastung ein wenig dauern aber alles noch im Rahmen. Das Ambiente ist durch die schlichte und moderne Einrichtung sehr einladend und herzlich. Preislich ist es ein wenig teurer als bei herkömmlichen Restaurants, dafür kriegt man aber auch dementsprechende Leistung in Form von einzigartigem Geschmack. Das Restaurant hat eine sehr gute Lage und einen großen (gebührenpflichtigen) Parkplatz. Platzreservierungen sind definitv vom Vorteil. Würde ich jedem weiter empfehlen der für ein gutes Stück Fleischbereit ist gerne auch ein wenig mehr zu bezahlen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

The Olive restaurant gave us a completely successful evening. The ambience was very attractive and inviting, perfect for a social evening. The food, a group menu, tasted absolutely great and left nothing to be desired – really a highlight! Unfortunately, there were small weaknesses: The service was friendly, but did not implement two of our requests, which was a bit disappointing. In addition, the cutlery was not clean, which slightly spoiled the otherwise positive impression. But I see these points as small things that didn't significantly affect the evening. All in all, a great experience that I can recommend despite some minor flaws

The dish was very tasty, although I missed something moist like sauce or beetroot - the ones from the starter would have been perfect with it. The starter was very generous for two people, especially with such an extensive menu. Luckily the dessert was the perfect size. Highly recommended!

The food and service are simply top here. We were there again today. It's also worth trying out the many different starters - simply delicious and also great in terms of presentation. Ordering drinks is easy and practical using the tablet at the table. The portions are absolutely appropriate. We're already looking forward to the next time - let's see what we try out.

We've been eating here for over three years now. So far everything has always been fine and we have always enjoyed the food. What we find very unfortunate, however, is that the portions have become smaller. I ate the flank steak this week. The meat is usually always cut into thin, beautiful slices - like in the photo here. However, this time it was cubed and looked completely different. Unfortunately it didn't look appetizing at all, it's a real shame... Before/after photos.

I can only recommend this restaurant, it is really top. The food is really high quality and very tasty. The service is very attentive and nice. The atmosphere is very modern. The price is a bit more expensive but really reasonable for what you get.

Perfekt service more than friendly

Very professional, there was a confirmation SMS when we made the reservation. Ordering drinks from a tray takes some getting used to (for us older semesters). The quality and presentation of the food is first class. The focus is on high-quality meat products, but there is also an excellent selection for vegetarians. Upscale pricing.

⸻ Wir hatten für 18:30 Uhr einen Tisch zum Fastenbrechen reserviert. Leider konnten wir erst um 19:00 Uhr bestellen. Der Kellner versicherte uns, dass unser Essen spätestens um 19:30 Uhr kommen würde. Um 19:40 Uhr wurde uns dann mitgeteilt, dass es in der Küche einen Systemabsturz gab und wir unsere Bestellung neu aufgeben müssten. Man versprach uns, dass das Essen in 15 Minuten da sein würde – aber um 20:00 Uhr hatten wir immer noch nichts bekommen. Erst nach erneutem Nachfragen bekamen wir unser Essen schließlich gegen 20:30 Uhr. Das Essen war zwar lecker, aber der gesamte Ablauf war eine Katastrophe. Die Organisation ließ stark zu wünschen übrig, und für ein Fastenbrechen so lange auf das Essen zu warten, ist einfach nicht akzeptabel. Zudem fiel uns auf, dass die Kellner kaum Deutsch sprachen, was die Kommunikation erschwerte. Insgesamt leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung – ob ich noch einmal hingehe, weiß ich nicht.

The food was prepared promptly and of excellent quality. With a table of 16 people, the serving was simultaneous and flawless. We ordered beef fillet, entrecote, sac kavurma, sultansofrasi and fish. The desserts, including Künefe and Katmer, were also excellent.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, we still got a table for two. The drinks were ordered via tablet and came very, very quickly. They were also at the table quickly when reordering. The service was friendly and nice. The food was super tasty, hot and the meat was tender and really good. Unfortunately, instead of truffle mayonnaise, we only got normal mayonnaise and there was no waitress who could correct that, so a star deduction for service. Because even when we said it when we were clearing away, we wanted to take care of it again, but nothing came of it. At the end there was a raki on the house. All in all, I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. It's not cheap, but the price-performance ratio is good

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone on a vegan diet! Yesterday, when I pointed out to the waiter a reference to dairy products on an appetizer labeled vegan, I got an eye roll after I decided to try something else. The appetizer tasted okay. For the main course I got the Mantis in non-vegan form, which I was told halfway through eating. I got a quick sorry - we're only human and at least I didn't have to pay for the main course. It's a shame, the ambience is actually so nice!

It's not the classic Turk. Modern stylish. The dishes are reinterpreted. The seasoning could be bolder. Conclusion: I would come again if I am in Hamm.

We were there on Friday evening to enjoy some Mediterranean cuisine with a few colleagues. The restaurant is very busy and reservations are definitely recommended. We decided on the grill plate for several people. Unfortunately it took a lot of time until the drinks were at the table, by which time the starter was already history. The first disappointments came with the main course. For a grill plate for 4 people, a total of 4 small bowls of side dishes were included. The bowl of vegetables for 4 people was the size of half an apple, no chance that 4 people could taste it equally. According to the menu, the platter also includes a side salad per person, but unfortunately this was not served. When we asked when paying, we were told that the side salad was only served upon request... Why is it listed as a side dish on the menu... The main focus of the grill plate is of course the meat. The cutlets and chicken skewers were fair to good. The Adana was completely over-seasoned, the rest was unfortunately fried completely dry... Unfortunately, more than just disappointing for the price. I find price/performance to be below average. Next time we're in the area, we'll look for an alternative

My son's 18th birthday was beautifully decorated. For my son it was a nice surprise with music and cake. Food was so delicious again. Service very nice and very organized, very friendly. They are very happy to be there

A very good restaurant. We ate Turkish dishes there, once Adana skewers and once chicken skewers with rice, potatoes and salad. We were very satisfied, it tasted very good, only the potato wedges were a little too crispy. The toilets were clean, but a bit tight when going in and out or washing your hands. But the staff was very nice and the service was courteous and organized. A little more expensive, but cozy, nice atmosphere. Recommended.

The Olive is a Turkish restaurant in downtown Hamm. The food was authentic and very tasty. We particularly liked the appetizer and grill platter. The service was consistently friendly and accommodating. Upon request, the table was beautifully decorated and the drinks were also lovingly prepared and delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Very disappointing! We were here over a year ago, it was wonderful, quality of food very good and staff very friendly. There will be no next time for me. We were here again last week on December 21st, 2024, we also made a reservation beforehand for 5:45 p.m. It was a disaster in terms of the staff, starting with the drinks. Half of us got nothing and the other half got nothing after we asked for our drinks, a mushy answer that we had already received it. Then there was an “oops and oh” from the waiter and the drinks were simply brought without an apology. Well, we thought it was full and could happen. After the starter it took a very long time, the main course came and didn't come. We had to wait over an hour for our food, only when we asked the lady at reception, who was very unfriendly, "You still have your starter, why are you acting like that" was the answer. After I pointed out to her that the starter had been cleared away for an hour, she walked past me without an answer. One order didn't come as ordered either, of course we sent it back. The only thing that was great was the little blonde waitress who tried very hard. The rest of the service made us feel like we were getting something for free and should be grateful that we were getting something to eat. Respect is the least that is expected. The delicious food doesn't help either. Never again…. Such behavior, without consideration for the guests, is not acceptable.
