In short... Delicious and fresh, I'd love to come again... Great value for money...

First of all, the food was great. The prices were reasonable too. A real thumbs up for that. But unfortunately, the delivery service failed. One of our three ordered dishes was forgotten. They initially claimed the delivery was complete. When we opened the boxes to check, we were immediately greeted with, "Damn, I forgot the cutlet..." The driver immediately took off again. Thirty minutes later, he came back with the missing food and a verbal apology. A bottle of wine or a (partial) refund would have been nice, as a small compensation for the postponed family dinner. But good old marnier traditions are becoming increasingly rare these days—what a shame! We will definitely not use the delivery service again, although that won't rule out a visit to the restaurant. It was our first time there and we were immediately impressed by the ambiance and the staff. There was hardly any wait for the food, it was plentiful and, above all, very tasty. We'd be happy to go back.

German cuisine is very tasty and of good quality, which is still rare to find these days.

There were seven of us there, a lot of guests, and yet we didn't have to wait long for our food. Everyone was stuffed. It was simply a wonderful evening.

The welcome from the kitchen was very nice and delicious. The schnitzel could have been a bit better, but otherwise everything was excellent.

I ordered two side dishes, only received one, and it was the wrong one, too. One of the two schnitzels wasn't the right one either. It's a shame. But I got my money back without any hassle. 👍

Things have changed a bit in the last few months. While it's still delicious, the quality of the schnitzel has changed, which is a shame when that's the restaurant's main product. The meat is different, and the breading sticks to the meat instead of being crispy and blistering. It's reminiscent of frozen schnitzel that's been deep-fried.

Rustic! Simple! Brilliant! The schnitzel and chops are simply fantastic. Everything is just perfect!

A complete disappointment... Glossy advertising with blackboards and blather, but VERY poor service. The order was clearly placed with the request for goose – it was clearly advertised on the website – then another call (some really strange answers) to pre-order tartar as an appetizer (also clearly advertised) and asked AGAIN: They do have goose, right? Yes, yes. BUT then: Neither tartar nor goose. And the order was probably also lost. VERY ANNOYING. What's left on the menu is just disappointing. FOUR schnitzels (without sauce, with peppers, with mushrooms, hunter's gravy) and meatloaf, the only meatless "dish" was a baked potato with dip, nothing else. SAD! The hunter's schnitzel was also awful, cooked in oily fat, the sauce from a bucket and not even a good bucket, and the side salad was a disgrace. A few gritty yellow beans from a jar, a few very large lettuce leaves in a rather pasty sauce (the term "dressing" just doesn't fit). The ambiance, as a hip place to linger and enjoy a different restaurant experience, is also nonsense. It's just a poorly decorated, cheaply decorated community center in the basement. Nothing against good community centers with good, fresh food (like in Gambach, for example). But here: a complete DISAPPOINTMENT. Don't go there.

Very good, plentiful food at a reasonable price in a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very polite, attentive and accommodating. Therefore my absolute recommendation. 😃 👍

Delicious food. Great schnitzel, great chops, steaks very good, fantastic green sauce, the side salad is awesome. The fried potatoes are second to none. Chicken day on Thursdays, fresh meat on Tuesdays. Always seasonal offers!

Very good schnitzel with super tasty fries. If you feel like eating schnitzel, you'll be in schnitzel heaven.

Were here for the motorcycle get-together. Very good food and attentive, quick service. Recommended.

Herring food super delicious like mom’s

Were here today, Saturday 12/2/23, eating a leg of goose. I've already eaten a lot of goose leg, but this one was very tasty today. Come here again.

Delicious, home-style cuisine at fair prices. Throughout the year there are themed days, e.g. herring dinner, goose menu, slaughter festival The guest rooms are comfortably furnished with beautiful decoration.

Gemütlich, leicht nostalgisch eingerichtet. Freundliche Bedienung, ansprechende Speisekarte. Gerichte in zwei "Größen", wobei die kleinere ausreichend ist. Geschützter Biergarten. Für Rollstühle weniger geeignet.

Zum 2. Mal da, Hähnchen, Bellschuh, griii Soass mega. Sossen uva. selbstgemacht, prima Service, kommen gerne wieder und freun uns schon auf die Schlachtplatte. Äusserst zu empfehlen!!

Super Essen. Super netter Service. Sehr schönes Ambiente.

Das Lokal ist einsame Spitze. Olli und sein Team liefern gute bürgerliche Küche vom Allerfeinsten ab. Zwei Evergreens : der Bellschu (kleiner Hackbraten) und das Kotelett. Danke Olli für deinen dauernd gleich guten Job. Bleib gesund und uns lange so stark erhalten.

Waren das erste Mal dort und es hat uns sofort gefallen.

Oli kann nicht nur Schnitzel, Oli kann auch vegetarisch. 25 Leute haben mit mir meinen Geburtstag gefeiert. Für alle Geschmacksrichtungen war das Essen ein Gedicht. Das sehr freundliche Personal hat das Buffet wunderschön aufgebaut.

Urig und gemütlich Wir gehen mit unseren Alten Herren aus Trohe schon seit Jahren hier her und wurden nie vom Inhaber Oli enttäuscht. Preis -Leistung ist super. Ambiente urig und gemütlich. Hier findet man noch gute deutsche Küche. Kleine Karte aber alles da was das Herz begehrt. Fazit: Wir werden weiterhin kommen!!!

Haben dort Gänsekeule gegessen. Das Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt und die Bedienung war der Hammer. Obwohl sie nur zu zweit im Service waren, gab es keinen Grund zur Beschwerde. Ganz im Gegenteil, die Junge Frau die uns bedient hat war nicht nur total freundlich, sie hat uns auch noch sehr gut unterhalten. Wir kommen gerne jederzeit wieder.

Suber Essen. Immer mal wechselte, aber stehts sehr freundliche und auch gute Bedienung .Gehe ich immer wiefer gerne hin.

Ich war echt überrascht. Ein Freund wollte uns hier zum Schnitzelessen einladen. Er meinte, diese wären hier besonders gut. Als ich jedoch hörte, dass das Restaurant in einem Bürgerhaus sei, schraubte ich meine Erwartungen ganz weit runter und wurde nachher sehr positiv überrascht. Tolles Essen, netter Service und weiß Gott kein nüchternes Bürgerhausambiente. Absolut gutes und günstiges Restaurant. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen

Schön, dass es solche Restaurants heutzutage noch gibt! Gutbürgerliche deutsche Küche, gute Portionen und Preise, die absolut in Ordnung gehen. Meiner Meinung nach ein Geheimtipp wenn es um Schnitzel im Landkreis Gießen geht. Kann ich empfehlen!

Am 26.04.22 dort gewesen. Kotelett mit Pommes war sehr lecker.

Das Essen war sehr gut, das war’s aber auch schon. Hunde sind auf einmal nicht mehr gestattet und das trotz abgetrenntem Raum, was vorher nie ein Problem war. Die Bedienung hat von Anfang an kein Überblick gehabt, ständig hat was gefehlt oder hat ewig gedauert. Alle waren mit dem Essen fertig und dann erst kam das Essen meines Mannes und mir. Tische wurden teils ewig nicht abgeräumten, so das wir selbst alles zusammen sammelten und auf den anderen Tisch gestellt haben. Und der absolute Oberhammer war, dass das stille Wasser leer war, wir dann Leitungswasser bekommen haben und dafür auch noch gezahlt werden musste…OHNR WORTE Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder und werden das Restaurant auch nicht weiter empfehlen!!!

Die besten Schnitzel die es im Kreis Gießen und im Lahn-Dill Kreis gibt. Mit Abstand! Aber ich bin sehr enttäuscht darüber, das man keine Hunde mehr duldet. Der Grund wäre, das jemand gebissen wurde. Diese Gründe erschließen sich mir nicht um das zu pauschalisieren. Wir würden gerne öfter kommen, aber das ist ein Grund, um dort nicht mehr essen zu gehen. Leider.
