Very pleasant atmosphere, our food was delicious, nice and attentive staff. The dog wasn't neglected either and was well looked after. Definitely recommended.

Stopped here after a long hike. We found a nice, cozy beer garden, it had been reserved in advance. The restaurant focuses on potato dishes, but also has many other little things on the menu. There was also a special card. The service was very friendly and chatty, but on this day, the restaurant was busy and slightly overwhelmed. We had to wait longer than average for our drinks. The dishes/starters I ordered were good, I chose goat cheese gratin and stuffed mushrooms with herb cream, bacon and fresh herbs. A slice of bread would have been great as there would be a lot of sauce/stock left in the bowl. The portion size shouldn't be smaller. I would visit this restaurant again

Historic inn with an idyllic beer garden, menu with a great selection of refreshing drinks and delicious dishes (good home-style, regional, seasonal), quick, friendly, dog-friendly staff.

Price-performance ratio is not right. We had salad with chicken breast for €17.50! There were four small pieces of chicken breast and a small (side) salad. Tasty but cheeky for the price. Rösti with burger buns and vegetables. Two mushrooms, a piece of red onion, two small hash browns and a palm-sized bread roll. Tasty, but far too little. The garden is nice to sit in, luckily there is no music playing and the food came quickly. I would have found it nice if we had been asked about the food and service. Conclusion: Nice, but not again. We want to fill up with main courses.

We ate there today, August 15th, 2024, around 7:00 p.m./7:30 p.m., and have to say that it wasn't good. Since I am a trained chef, I see everything differently. The two starters were quite ok in terms of value for money, but the main courses weren't particularly good. The children's fried potatoes were totally over salted, my wife's steak was sometimes rare to rare medium instead of medium. The 2 schnitzels were fried in the fat where various other schnitzels were already in there (you could see that there were black burnt spots from old breading everywhere on the schnitzel.) Then the schnitzels themselves were also partially burned. The cheese was forgotten for a schnitzel that was supposed to be gratinated, then the salad was forgotten for my meal. My wife had specially ordered a cucumber salad (cucumber salad was also on the menu for another dish). The cucumber salad only consisted of cucumber slices that were cut way too thick (0.5-1cm thick), and there was nothing else on the cucumbers. Neither salt, pepper, vinegar nor oil. They were just pure cucumbers without anything. Then before ordering I asked if the hollandaise sauce was homemade and the service staff answered YES. And you got the typical Lukull Hollandaise from the Tetrapak. We were then charged for a larger drink, which fortunately we noticed. and we still had to pay the full price even though not one plate was in order. And the kitchen manager didn't think it was necessary to come out to apologize or justify this miserable meal. We will definitely never go here again and will not recommend it to anyone. The restaurant was definitely not so busy that you were stressed.

We stopped to cool off while hiking. It's very nice to sit outside. We felt very comfortable. The service was good. The coffee tasted very good. I can't comment on the food as we only had drinks. What was served on the plates looked very attractively presented and appetizing. We'll come back when we're in the corner.

Nice people - very mediocre food. That's the best way to describe the overall experience. We came as a family after a long walk in the beautiful Bergisches Tal and were looking forward to a delicious dinner. Unfortunately, the kitchen has a different understanding of potato pancakes than we do. Here they are lukewarm, thick and not baked through in the middle. The burger with potato cake was lukewarm at best, not even warm. When it came back from the kitchen warmed up, it was covered in balsamic vinegar and marinade. I couldn't eat it anymore or I would get heartburn. The classic burger was clearly overcooked and therefore unfortunately dry. 2 out of 3 of us came back to Cologne hungry. Of course we still paid. But we won't be coming back. At least not for eating.

Very nice restaurant in Bergisch! Super delicious, fresh cake. Friendly, attentive service, interesting menu and the price-performance ratio is right and the ambience is very rustic. It's worth stopping off on the hike!!!

The beer garden is an oasis! The staff is super friendly and professional and the menu is creative and delicious.

The food was freshly prepared and the ingredients were more than just good home cooking. The seating outside is very idyllic and quiet. All in all we were very positively surprised!

Great location with a pretty beer garden and still plenty of potential, but unfortunately not recommended as a restaurant. The service was reorganized and sloppy, the food (with one exception) was inedible. Instead of homemade spaetzle, the children's meal was slipper noodles from the supermarket. But the other dishes were also terribly prepared...the schnitzels were overwhelmed by a mountain of floury breading, the double burger was unexpectedly small, carelessly topped and completely dry - served without any side dish. At the neighboring tables there were also mostly long faces and little joy about the food that was delivered. We wouldn't have been bothered at all by the cats roaming through the beer garden and dining room, even if this might be helpful advance information for allergy sufferers.... The prices, without exception, are completely exorbitant in combination with the quality of the kitchen and service...somehow they don't fit the location at all...it's a shame. All in all very disappointing, we will definitely not be coming back.

Very nice beer garden in the countryside. Delicious potato dishes, Maibowle and Bergisches Landbier. Ideal for a little break.

Very good food, for a fair price. Tasty meal, good quality ingredients. Friendly service. Definitely recommended. En-route on the Eifgenbach walking route (no. 5) a good resting point for a meal, but also worth driving there especially for it.

We came across this restaurant by chance. There is enough space for many guests indoors and outdoors. The furnishings are modern and very attractive. The friendly staff served us quickly and we were able to quench our thirst. The food came a little later and surprised us very positively. Visually and tastefully grade 1. The prices for this service are completely reasonable.

Very cozy atmosphere. Friendly service and a slightly different menu. The dips as a starter were a hit. The bottom of the burger buns were hard as a board. We were a little lacking in the oomph with the main courses. The espresso afterwards was a disaster. I would love to come back for a beer while hiking.

If you are looking for something extraordinary, you will find it here. Very tasty food, great ambience and nice women and men. And then also the love for the English patients 👍🏼 We'll be back.

I was here again after many years and it was as always, rustic, cozy and delicious. The history of the mill is well explained behind glass (photo). I'll be back🙂

Idyllic location, good food and great service.

The Neue Mühle is a very old historical building. The restaurant has existed for many decades. It has been run as a potato house for several years. The interiors have been lovingly maintained and restored. In the cellar you can see the mill's ancient teeth. The food is very tasty and the portions are good. The service is super friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is very cozy. We had our dogs with us, who were immediately offered a bowl of water. The beer garden is open in summer. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking. We felt extremely good and will definitely come back. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We have stopped here several times on our hikes in the Eifengbachtal and have never been disappointed: delicious and modern menu, romantic ambience, extremely friendly service, fair price/performance ratio. We are already looking forward to the next time!

Were here on a Sunday lunchtime with a total of 7 people. There are sufficient parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. Since this is a popular hiking area, these are well-used depending on the weather. We were warmly welcomed on site and escorted to our table. Our son got his own “menu”, which is also a coloring picture, and he was immediately hooked. The selection is very good and almost all dishes have a connection to potatoes. So definitely something different in terms of taste. I had the classic (burger) with potato wedges. I really enjoyed this one. Unfortunately, the potato wedges were only lukewarm and therefore a star deduction at this point. Price-performance ratio is okay, the service is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very rustic, but I like it that way. We'll definitely come back again.

Nice, but very remote restaurant. The dishes are tasty, but a bit expensive. The presentation is unusual and attractive. Staff friendly and attentive. The dining room was a bit cool and felt a bit frozen.

Hier lohnt die Einkehr. Super freundliche Bedienung. Orginelle Karte mit leckeren Spezialitäten. Gemütliches Ambiente.

Liebevoll eingerichtet, beim Eintreten schon der Geruch von Holz. Die Hauskatze begrüßt die Gäste. Eine übersichtliche Karte, dazu Extras auf der Tafel an der Wand. Das Essen selbst regional und frisch, deftig. Gute Zutaten, reichlich, aber nicht unangenehm viel. Der Kaffee in Anschluss war hervorragend.

Wir haben unsere standesamtliche Hochzeit dort gefeiert. Das Highlight waren die bergischen Tapas! Super nette Besitzerin und sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke!!!

Wir waren heute zu Dritt mit 2 Hunden zum Mittagessen da. Es waren auch andere Gäste mit Hunden da - ist dort überhaupt kein Problem. Die sehr nette Bedienung hat uns sogar einen Napf mit Wasser gebracht. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das zu moderaten Preisen. Die Karte ist auch sehr umfangreich, sodass jeder etwas finden sollte. Das Ambiente ist urig & gemütlich und passt perfekt zum alten Fachwerkhaus. Die Toiletten waren, wie alles andere auch, sauber und tip top. Die Neuemühle ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert und lädt nach einer Wanderung/ einem Spaziergang zur Einkehr ein.

Das Essen war total lecker aber sehr mächtig, vielleicht etwas aus der Zeit gekommen. Sehr ansprechende Speise und Getränkekarte. Der Service wirkte manchmal etwas gestresst aber sonst super freundlich. Gemütliches Gasthaus zum verweilen während eines Wanderausflug. Kurze Wartezeiten

Tolle Lage, Tolles Team, schneller Service, lecker Essen 👌

Gemütliches gut bürgerliches Lokal mit guten Speisen zu fairen Preisen. Regionale und saisonale Küche wird serviert im historischen Gebäude. Es liegt direkt im Grünen. Spieleauswahl für Kinder. Sehr freundliche und flotte Bedienung.

Das vegetarische/vegane Angebot ist auf den ersten Blick sehr dünn. Auf Nachfrage bekommt man jedoch eine Extrakarte. Es gibt dann auch ein paar vegane Gerichte. Allerdings waren diese für den Preis enttäuschend. Zwar lecker, aber kleine Mengen, bei denen einfach alles nicht Vegane weggelassen wird (z.B. Kräuterquark bei den Kartoffeln, Käse und Patty beim Burger). Zudem wurden uns pro Gericht zwei Euro mehr berechnet als auf der Karte standen. Dort standen also nicht mehr die aktuellen Preise. Das Essen mit Fleisch mag vielleicht gut sein, für Veganer ist das Restaurant leider nicht zu empfehlen.

Von den Gerichten auf der Karte, waren nur ungefähr die Hälfte der Speisen zu bekommen, und das an einem Sonntag Abend ! Somit auf Speisen ausgewichen, die ich eigentlich nicht wollte. Da aber die Lage und das Ambiente sehr schön sind, sind wir im sehr schönen Biergarten geblieben. Die Bedienung war auch nicht das Wahre. Man merkte, die beiden jungen Bedienungen hatten nicht das richtige Feingefühl mit der Kundschaft umzugehen. Alles in Allem. Es geht auch besser.

Sehr schöne Lage , Nette Mitarbeiter. Alle Gerichte waren lecker, außer das Schnitzel.

Sehr lecker (Kartoffelpizza), sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereites Team, draußen ein schöner Biergarten

Gemütlicher, liebevoll eingerichteter Ort mit viel Historie und Charme. Die von der Inhaberin selbst zubereiteten Speisen schmecken stets frisch, das Thema "Kartoffel" zieht sich durch die gesamte Speisekarte. Man wird sehr freundlich, mitunter fast zu bemüht, aber zu keiner Zeit aufdringlich umsorgt. Fazit: klasse Gelegenheit, um sich nach einer ausgedehnten Wanderung durch das Eifgental mit einem leckeren Mahl zu stärken! Tipp: unbedingt das im alten Holzofen selbstgebackene Brot und/oder die geräucherten Forellen probieren!

Das Essen war ok. Wenig gewürzt und leider nicht mehr warm. Der Service war ok, manchmal fanden wir die Kellnerin einfach nicht. Es ist jedoch scheinbar ein Familien Unternehmen. Also war die Wartezeit schon ok. Super idyllisch gelegen und mega kinder freundlich. Wir kommen mach der nächsten Wanderung gerne wieder vorbei.

Schönes Lokal mit schönem Biergarten. Leider etwas schwer zu erreichen. Das Essen war gut. Wir haben auch selbstgebackenes Brot und geräucherte Firellen dort gekauft. Alles sehr lecker und sehr empfehlenswert.
