A nice, cozy tapas bar, but it's best if you're not too hungry or have a big budget. The portions are very small and far too expensive for what they are. It tasted okay, but it wasn't anything special; we've had better Spanish tapas. It was okay for a one-time thing, but we won't be back.

Mucho Gusto has a wonderful Spanish ambiance. The restaurant is decorated with beautiful pictures and paintings on the walls and decorative items on the tables, all contributing to the cozy atmosphere. What makes it even better is the incredibly warm and welcoming owner, who impressed us with thoughtful gestures like hanging up our coats and helping us with them. The food is very varied, beautifully presented, and simply delicious. I'm looking forward to returning and highly recommend Mucho Gusto.

We only had drinks, but we still received a delicious complimentary appetizer. The atmosphere is also very pleasant.

Friendly service, but room for improvement in ambiance, cuisine, and value for money. Our visit to this Spanish restaurant was a mixed bag overall. While the service was the highlight of the evening, the other aspects left much to be desired. The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and courteous. We felt well looked after, which left a positive impression. The food itself was well-prepared, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to what one expects from a Spanish restaurant. It lacked authentic flair and the typical refined flavors. The restaurant's ambiance could also use an update to offer more style and atmosphere. A major point of criticism was the value for money. The prices are far too high for the quality offered and the comparatively small portion sizes. Furthermore, the selection was limited by the fact that three items listed on the menu were unavailable. In conclusion, the friendly and attentive service deserves special mention. However, there is considerable room for improvement in terms of ambience, food authenticity and especially value for money.

The price-quality ratio was extremely poor. Warm soft drinks, tapas that weren't lukewarm but almost cold. No personal plate for hygienic eating. It took 40 minutes to get your first drink. Very expensive, but that's not a problem, as long as it's perfectly fine. An average of €2.75 per tapas. One person was serving and one was working the bar. All 20 people there had the same problem. Not recommended, despite the atmosphere. The background music wasn't Spanish at all; it sounded more like a monastery. The only thing that took three minutes was paying the bill. It's a shame, as it could have potential.

Simply super cozy, you immediately feel at home inside. There's atmospheric music playing. The outside area is super relaxed and comfortable. The chef is incredibly friendly and accommodating, just soooo sweet. The food is a taste explosion, especially the delicious fish soup. Mmm, delicious! We'll be back. Everything is soooo great!!

This tapas restaurant impresses with truly delicious food and a great selection of authentic Spanish snacks – everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the varied tapas, from olives to croquetas to patatas bravas – every dish was a delight. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The only criticism is the slightly higher prices, which, while justified for the quality offered, do somewhat detract from the overall experience. If you enjoy Spanish cuisine and want to spend a pleasant evening with delicious tapas, you'll definitely get your money's worth here. Four stars overall – especially for the excellent food and pleasant ambiance!

Our favorite vacation destination is Spain, and we love Spanish cuisine and tapas. That's why we were really looking forward to a delicious meal at Mucho Gusto. But the tapas we were served literally left us speechless; the value for money was simply outrageous. When we arrived at the restaurant, the chef was just cleaning the entrance door with chlorinated water, and the smell wasn't particularly inviting. Since there were only two of us in the restaurant, we had free choice of seats and sat by the window. For our starter, we ordered a salad with turkey strips and Manchego, along with grilled goat cheese for €15.50! The green salad arrived, which had been pre-cut for a very long time, as the brown edges clearly showed, with 6 turkey strips, mini Manchego cubes, and 4 slices of goat cheese that had briefly been pan-fried. Everything was drizzled with a white salad dressing. Salt and pepper: none. German farmer's bread and a delicious aioli were served with it. The tapas that followed were partly inedible. Chicken in garlic sauce, the meat was old and stale, and the smell was almost repulsive. The sauce looked like milky dishwater. The mussels were edible, albeit without any enjoyment, but they charge €15 for a palm-sized bowl of mussels. The only truly delicious thing was the patatas bravas, but frying them isn't exactly a skill. When I asked the chef about the musty meat, he reacted very calmly, and we weren't charged for it. Nevertheless, we spent €51.00 including drinks. After a lengthy phone conversation with his boss, the waiter brought us the bill and a voucher for a tapas dish, redeemable by December 31, 2025. One thing is certain, we will not redeem this voucher.

The last visit was unfortunately disappointing, and now I'm almost certain I won't be coming back. We had a reservation and had to wait over an hour and a half for tapas. Even the olives and the cheese platter, which was "assembled" from pre-packaged cheese slices, couldn't have been served any faster. The cooked tapas were either undercooked (chorizo ​​in cider – therefore far too fatty and with a greasy texture) or cooked for too long (pasta parcel with minced meat – you could see the meat and it was very dry). All the dishes were not seasoned at all and correspondingly bland in taste. Our request for an hour and a half was dismissed in an extremely unfriendly manner by a female server, who said it was a normal wait and we weren't alone. The male server was very friendly and tried to change the bad impression. Hence, three stars anyway. The beer specialty, which was heavily advertised in front of the restaurant, was no longer available when we ordered, but was included on the bill. Correcting this incorrect bill was problematic, and the restaurant wanted to compensate for it with a voucher (but we didn't want to be forced to come back after this experience). The bill for four people, at over €200, was very high and unfortunately not commensurate with the service provided. I'd rather spend my money on better quality and a more pleasant environment. It's a shame.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. Four of us waited about 1.5 hours before we even got a bowl of olives placed on our table, and this after asking twice. Our first request after 1.25 hours was very rudely dismissed by a female waitress (who told us to wait, orders would be served in order). Food: Chorizo ​​cooked in cider was almost raw inside and therefore greasy. Meat pâté was very dry (both the pastry and the small amount of ground meat). The chickpeas were very lightly seasoned. One of the waiters was very friendly, but overall, we felt the price/performance ratio was inadequate (tapas for four people, and two drinks each), at around €220. We also had four unfinished beers on our bill, and they only wanted to refund these incorrectly booked drinks with a voucher. Not really for us.

I'd especially like to commend the chef: He takes his time, explains everything with passion, and makes you feel immediately welcome. Wonderful food...super delicious wine 🍷 and a very friendly waitress. Everything was perfect. Only the ambiance of the previous pub still seems a bit dated...more color. Today...June 15, 2025, one day before my birthday, my brother and sister-in-law were visiting...highly praised...what was going on today??? Ordered lots of Tabasco and a tomato soup...half of it lukewarm to cold...empana da carme...inedible. Dry...the yeast dough was impossible to cut...what was going on today??? €160.00 is a lot of money for this evening...it really wasn't good. This wasn't my first time here, and I've always praised it highly...oh dear...the evening wasn't particularly special because of the visit...I gave honest feedback...the offer was espresso...how about a liqueur or something similar??? Mucho Gusto in Marbach is unique and highly recommended. The service is friendly, competent, and attentive without being intrusive. The food is excellent – ​​we had the sausage and cheese platter for starters, followed by a selection of tapas. The beef ham (part of the starter) was a dream, and the tapas were the best I've had outside of Spain. The prices are rather high, but reasonable for the quality. Overall, we had a lovely evening with good food and excellent wine. Thank you very much.

We've been guests there a few times. What we like about Mucho Gusto is that the atmosphere invites you to linger, and you can enjoy great food in a relaxed setting surrounded by a lovingly curated ambiance. Time often flies because you just feel so comfortable. The food isn't that big or filling at first glance, but it's really filling, so you'll definitely be full. The restaurant has a lot of variety in terms of taste, even for vegetarians, and I've already been impressed by a few ingredients that I hadn't previously considered. That's another great advantage of the tapas concept: being able to try everything you want, which also applies to the kitchen, which obviously has a lot of fun experimenting with culinary ideas. The conversations with the hard-working staff are always great, and the chef himself is very committed to his work and has a little interesting anecdote to tell about many of the dishes. All in all, an experience we can recommend.

On May 3rd and 4th, we participated in the 18th Century Festival 2025 with our market stall. After Saturday ended with a storm, we were so happy to have managed to get a seat and something to eat after saving our wares at Mucho Gusto. We were already surprised by the amount of the bill and perhaps should have checked... only when we got home did we realize that we had been overcharged for three tequilas, two light beers, and a pilsner. Although both the market organizer and we wrote to the proprietor, there was no response... It's a shame, you don't feel welcome like that. Thanks for the offer... you can see the bill here in the pictures. Unfortunately, we won't be able to travel from Fürth for it.

Went there spontaneously for dinner around 6 p.m. Unfortunately it wasn't a nice dinner, I hope it was just a "nice day" like it is everywhere, since the reviews are consistently positive. We got a table straight away and were greeted warmly. The atmosphere of the place is nice, music was a bit loud. Unfortunately it took forever for the food to arrive, which is very surprising, especially with tapas. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio isn't right either. The tapas taste good but each small plate costs between 10 and 16 euros (a few hot potatoes with sauce or chickpeas with spinach, cheese plate even 20 euros with standard Spanish cheese). Maybe the comparison is unfair, but in other restaurants you get a full and very good dish for 30 euros, here it's more of a starter. The quality is okay, but it doesn't justify the high price. The staff wanted to clear some of the plates that were still being eaten. Unfortunately, it took a long time until we could pay and everything was a bit confused and didn't seem organized (we were approached several times).

We arrived half an hour before opening time and were allowed to sit down straight away and were served straight away. The tapas that were served were all delicious and plentiful. The same goes for the great drinks. An absolute recommendation! We'll be back!

We were looking for a Spanish restaurant in the Ludwigsburg area and therefore made a reservation for four people at Mucho Gusto. We got a nice seat outside, the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the tapas were neither appropriate in terms of quality nor in terms of price/performance ratio. Anyone who has ever eaten good Spanish tapas can only be disappointed here. The patatas bravas were completely overpriced at €8, as were the squid rings from the freezer at €15. Only the beef in vegetables was really good. We cannot recommend the restaurant and will not come here again.

I was at this restaurant recently and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The welcome was friendly, the atmosphere is ok. The food came quicker than expected, but unfortunately it wasn't exactly a hit. The tapas were lukewarm and also rather small compared to the price you paid. The taste was ok - but there was just a lack of spice. The aioli tasted artificial, the dessert was watery. The staff seemed stressed. Overall, unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience for me personally, and I probably won't be coming back for the time being.

First, let’s get to the good stuff. The place is very nice and everyone in the restaurant was very friendly. The ambience has a Latin American touch, as does the service. Extremely friendly and accommodating. Now for the negative things. The food has nothing to do with fresh Spanish cuisine. My walk to the kitchen confirmed this. It seems as if a German apprentice chef is trying to cook something. I travel a lot in Spain and have avoided this review for a long time, but I have now decided to do so. It is not justified to call such food fresh and Spanish. Everything was just thawed and the worst thing was the German dressings on all the dishes (e.g. salad). Despite everything, we had a great time, but only because we compensated for our bad food with a lot of alcohol. I wouldn't have done this review if the restaurant didn't advertise "fresh, authentic Spanish food" on every table. That's just lying and I would advise anyone not to eat it. A little tip: Maybe you should not only have nice Latin American service, but also put one of them in the kitchen. I bet it tastes better that way. We had lunch at Mucho Gusto today. Nice, sunny outdoor seating area, nice service. But unfortunately that was it. The fried squid rings felt like ready-made food from the frozen package, the chicken was tough and not edible with the green sauce. The supplements were also “discounter” quality.

Very friendly welcome, the boss took our jackets and hung them up. Friendly and competent service who could tell us something about every wine on the menu. What's great is that you can taste the wine before ordering a glass. The decor is nice with a Spanish flair. The only thing that doesn't fit is the annoying lounge music. We ordered the sausage/cheese platter as a starter, which was on the table in 10 minutes with bread and aioli. We then waited 35 minutes for the tapas. That was okay with us. The piementos and sardines tasted very good. There was bread and aioli again. 3 to 4 tapas per person are needed to fill you up. Small portions but a bit expensive. Almost as good in taste as in Andalusia, where we went on vacation in October. At the neighboring tables the waiting time was 1 hour if no starter was ordered. We will visit Mucho Gusto again.

Today we were doing something nearby, then took a stroll through the old town in Marbach and wanted to go somewhere nice for our anniversary. Since Mucho Gusto was the restaurant that opened before all the others, we decided to have a typical Spanish meal. We were greeted very friendly in the restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, somewhat sporadic, with a slightly Spanish touch, and pleasant music. The friendly waitress explained to us how to combine the individual courses etc., so we put something together. The greeting from the kitchen, an aioli cream, was more like a garlic-flavored mayonnaise. The starter, a potato soup, was very creamy (thick), tasted like a lot of cream (thickened with flour?)...was ok, but the potato flavor was only slightly palpable. The pollo al ajillo were 2 mini pieces of chicken for 12 euros!! And the ajillo sauce was also very bland. When we asked, it was explained to us that in Spanish they season a lot with oil and garlic, both of which were very good included sparingly. The food wasn't bad, but nothing special at these prices. It was still a nice, cozy evening thanks to the nice service, but it's definitely not worth a second visit for us.

I am of the opinion that one should not judge too early. But I've been there twice now and the squid was again too overcooked and dry. And the potatoes and the squid rings were too oily…. Too bad :( It's a nice atmosphere and nice service. Nevertheless, 40€ very small portions and such a bad meal is unfortunately not possible...

We ate here for the first time on October 24th because it was expressly recommended to us by Spaniards. However, we were very disappointed. We ordered many different tapas, but they were all pretty bland and just plain boring. Nothing that requires you to drive there specifically to eat. And there wasn't even Hierbas, a Spanish herbal liqueur ☹ It was also very cold in the restaurant. It must have been cleaned beforehand because it smelled strongly of Clor, so the door was left open. But you probably shouldn't do that just before the guests arrive. At first I still had my jacket on, which didn't add to the comfort. Neither does the smell of chlorine. We found the portions quite small compared to the price. The price-performance ratio doesn't suit us and so we won't go there again.

Located in the beautiful center of Marbach. Very nice service, good selection of tappas and other Spanish dishes. Price wise okay. You may have to park a little further away as there are only a few parking spaces on site.

The atmosphere is very nice and the hosts are also very nice and helpful. I also found the wines to be exceptionally good at a fair price. I also thought it was nice that both of my dishes came with some salad that had a delicious dressing. I wasn't very impressed with the main courses. It all tasted very bland and boring. But where I was really disappointed and felt ripped off was with the croquettes with Serrano ham. Serrano ham was not tasty at all and you had to look for it. I found two small scraps in a croquette. I don't think it's okay to pay €10 for four tasteless croquettes.

Wonderful place, a little piece of Spain in one of the most beautiful towns in Germany. A visit to a unique place in the world, Marbach um Neckar, to get lost in its streets and enjoy a restaurant whose choice never disappoints. The atmosphere is spectacular, a mix of Castilla León and flowers and plants from a Cordoban patio... The food is Spanish, the tapas, tortilla and paellas are amazing... and also, typical German so you don't leave without trying something local, with extensive wine tasting . They have star Spanish beer Galicia and German craft beer, made in a small house two blocks away, which you can also visit to complete the experience. Wonderful Martin, its owner, and all his staff. We will return 🇪🇸🇩🇪

It was our first time at Mucho Gusto and it was definitely a nice experience with live music and an authentic ambience. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, the chickpeas tasted like bacon. A bit strange with a vegan at the table. Otherwise very, very nice staff. Perfect time between ordering and eating. Went home very satisfied with an invitation for a liqueur.

I would like the tapas portions to be a bit more filling, at least for the price. Otherwise it was a very pleasant visit!

Food service and wine recommendations 10/10! Plus it’s super child-friendly

After a friendly welcome and a reserved table, we left 1 hour and 55 minutes! WAITING TIME asked how long we would have to wait for our salad starter! After 2 hours the food came and we received a very long and detailed, sometimes cheeky explanation, including that everything is freshly prepared, the potatoes are freshly peeled from the farm... and that's why we received bread with aioli dip for free... We asked that we would like to start eating now. As an apology there was a cava on the house. The portions are manageable: the salad extra was 2 prawns and hard. Unfortunately, the chickpeas with spinach were completely over salted, a very small piece of bacalao in white wine, too expensive for 14. Overall, it's a shame. At the end another friendly farewell. Overall, a mixed evening that we don't want to repeat and only because there is a Spaniard in Marbach :-(

The food is overpriced, the ambience is catastrophic, the service is very friendly, but can't make up for the rest of the impression. The sausage/cheese platter for €19 to share had 4 pieces of cheese, 4 slices of Serano ham, about 20 grams of salami and 6 small bread sticks - not a bit of decoration, no olives, no peppers, nothing fresh. The shrimp in garlic sauce were delicious but it was about 50 grams of the simplest shrimp for €14! Very unfortunate

Great restaurant, very nice service, we ate tapas/pinchos and were completely satisfied, recommended. And of course the locally brewed Salzscheuer Bräu/beer - was simply good!

The tappas are supposedly all freshly prepared and no frozen products are said to have been used. I can't quite believe that: the grilled prawns (15€), for example, were three rather small, hard-boiled shrimps that hardly tasted like they were grilled. The bacalau croquettes (4 pieces, approx. €10) were all the same size and tasted very “convenient”. If you like it; I prefer to prepare the food myself; It's cheaper and tastes better to me. The service was good, the atmosphere (outdoor area) was nice. UPDATE: after I wrote the review I got a reply: “Hola, we would like to invite you when we prepare our croquetas - the process takes about three hours. And where can we get fresh prawns in Marbach? From the Neckar?” Well, I'm sorry that the croquetas take three hours to prepare - ready-made ones from the freezer wouldn't be much worse. And the prawns? Maybe they're actually from the Neckar - given their size. All joking aside: three small hard-cooked shrimps without grill flavor for 15 euros is cheeky - very cheeky. Here too, frozen prawns wouldn't be any worse (my very slowly thawed, grilled prawns taste better and are grilled to perfection). Also: we ordered sparkling water twice and got still water twice. Noticing this we were then given sparkling water (which was charged in addition to the two bottles of still water). The other dishes were also just so-so - with very high prices. No, no, no: the stroppy answer doesn't cover up the - with all due respect - cheeky rip-off. Best regards.

The tapas are delicious and the wine selection is also great! If you want to eat Spanish, this is the best!

At first I was worried that as a vegetarian I wouldn't find enough here, but there was a lot of choice, it was very tasty, and the service was friendly and accommodating :) Everyone in our group was happy with the food

Service was average, food was good, waiting time was a total disgrace! Spent 2 hours in total, 90 minutes of which were waiting. Eating it doesn't fill you up, it's more of a snack, and a very expensive one at that. It's a shame, I was hoping for more!

Well, I can't really understand the positive reviews. The taste of the food is ok. The prices don't match the portions at all, yes I know that tapas aren't big, but it doesn't fit at all. The service is nice but not "experienced". Regarding the ambience, not cozy and it was cold. It's a shame, the idea is really good but unfortunately the implementation is not.

Very warm people and delicious, varied food at fair prices. Four tapas and dessert were enough for us :)
