Restaurant Mediterran in Hamburg

We've been coming to this restaurant for many years and have always been satisfied. But in May 2025, we were very disappointed. The food was a disaster, and I didn't want to go there again. After hearing that the restaurant was under new management, we decided to give it another chance. And what can I say... IT'S REALLY GREAT. The ambiance, the service, and the food have improved so much, and we'll be coming back more often. Keep up the good work and don't let it get you down!!! Thank you so much!!!

A very nice restaurant offering a wide variety of dishes. The menu is divided into grilled dishes, fish dishes, and vegetarian dishes. There's a large selection of starters. There's also a weekly changing lunch menu. Lunch can be ordered until 3:00 PM. When ordering a main course, you can also put together your own salad at the salad bar.

Pike-perch fillet was very good. The lamb cutlet was very tough, so I swapped it for a steak, which was OK. The turkey pan was terrible, a thick, flavorless mush. 50% of it went back to the kitchen. The restaurant had too many dishes, so you can only expect low quality. It's a shame, I won't be back.

Very tasty food, was great and large portion

Last Friday, we spontaneously went there with friends. It was no problem to put tables together on the terrace to seat 10 people, and we were all thrilled again. The service was super friendly, and everyone was very attentive to ensuring our guests wanted for nothing. The food was unbeatably good. The steaks were grilled to perfection. The portions were absolutely generous. There's a good selection at the salad buffet; I highly recommend the carrots with garlic. We'll be back, no question. Like today. 😉

Zero stars... Ordered food, arrived on the table after less than 10 minutes. The meat was obviously undercooked, almost raw (how could it be, after that time...?). So back to the kitchen. Back at the table about 10 minutes later, the bacon was now charred, but the other food on the plate was still edible. (But I don't need a chef for that!) Nobody at the table wanted to bother with drinks, so I decided not to order a second beer, as the two unfriendly ladies seemed to be only concerned with themselves and concentrating on finishing their day. In short: terrible! Apparently, no one here is interested in making sales, but rather focused on getting rid of customers as quickly as possible... And they succeeded!

We were there for the third time on Easter Sunday. To date there has never been anything to complain about; Neither the food, the ambience nor the service! But something went really wrong that day: my lamb chops weren't cooked through and were therefore very tough on the bone. I put them in the kitchen again with the hope that I could have them properly grilled again shortly afterwards. It took longer and I got the same thing "in green". In addition, the beans were now swimming in fat. Unfortunately, my companion's dishes weren't good either. Both the salmon plate was fried and bone dry, as was the breaded fish in the “fish plate”. The friendly service took our advice with a smile but let it drip without saying a word. That was actually what ultimately disappointed me the most! Not a word of regret or a short apology! It wasn't fully occupied either, which could have been an explanation. For us it was the last time.

Good food, very attentive service staff. Large portions, I would like to mention that the meat was of great quality 👍I can only recommend the place!

We've eaten here in various situations – just the two of us for a cozy dinner, with the family at a party for 40 people, for lunch, or even for a child's birthday party with bowling. Pick-up is also possible if you're celebrating at home and don't feel like cooking. So far, the food has always been incredibly delicious, the portions generous, and everything freshly prepared. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. There are two bowling lanes, and in the summer, you can sit outside for a wonderful meal. We give it full stars – and one more on top! A truly lovely and delicious experience here.

We stopped by for breakfast and were amazed by the wide selection. Beautifully presented. A plant paradise. Large selection of gardening items.

Great hospitality, ate goose for the third time today. (Delicious) Soran the boss, his wife and the whole team were very attentive and accommodating. The two of us ate more than one goose and there were a few extra wings on top. Highly recommended. Goose really fills you up here, not like in the Rindock, where I get my fill of side dishes. Gladly again!

Friendly staff, super delicious food. We had a platter with steak, turkey, stuffed minced steaks and chicken schnitzel on peppers and mushrooms. There were 11 of us guests and everyone enjoyed it very much.

The service is really perfect. Unfortunately we didn't like the food there. It's a shame and unfortunately too expensive for the existing quality.

No card payment possible at the moment

We have been celebrating school enrolments, birthdays and youth ordination in this restaurant for 13 years and can only recommend it. Vesna and the rest of the team do a great job. The service is great and asks if everything is ok. There is something on the menu for every taste. For family celebrations there are platters for 2 people and up €29.90 per person which is really ok. There is a salad buffet where you can help yourself before the main course. If you want, you can also book the bowling alley, where you can eat and bowl in a cozy atmosphere. Card payment is also possible and of course that can sometimes be broken. So we will definitely come back with family. 😀

We ate there with the family and were told several times that the plate would cost €29. Afterwards it was said that it would cost €41 per person, so we didn't pay for the plates but per person. Where can you get something like that? In addition, we cannot pay by card, only payment.

We had dinner there in the evening. The staff was really very friendly without exception. The food was also very good and the portions were also good. Unfortunately, I personally don't think the ambience is that nice because you can hear the other guests very clearly. The decoration may be a little lacking in height. Hence a star deduction.

They still exist...the restaurants that treat you as a guest as warmly as if you were part of the family and at the same time have absolutely fair prices! Great 5 star service and really delicious food! The house-style sauce is highly recommended. There is also a bowling alley that can be used. Great for spending a relaxing day with families/friends. Unfortunately, EC payment didn't work, but that didn't detract from the extremely positive impression. Even if it's a bit out of the way, the visit is worth it. You really enjoy coming here and would like to give it 6 stars!

Our house restaurant in the neighborhood. Portions are always very generous with good meat, always very tasty. There are also vegetarian dishes and the salad bar is the first highlight. Very nice service - you immediately feel welcome and in good hands.

In itself a classic Yugo, which often shines with dishes that are not typical of Yugo. The service could be a little friendlier, but overall it's a restaurant you'd love to come back to again and again

Mittagstisch ist schon toll. Mir schmeckt es gut. Hatte kürzlich Leber, sehr lecker.

Schönes Restaurant, für mich persönlich zu eng es steht alles sehr dicht beieinander. Essen war hervorragend, das Fleisch ein Traum. Dadurch das es eng ist, ist die Lautstärke natürlich recht hoch. Das Personal sehr freundlich.

Wie immer: Sehr freundlich, sehr lecker! Dass es sogar einen komplett abgetrennten Raucherbereich gibt (wo man auch essen kann!) ist für mich 'n zusätzliches Highlight!

Ein super toller Laden. Wir haben da Geburtstag von meiner Mama gefeiert. Hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Kegel Bahn ist toll für Kinder und Erwachsene. Service und der Besitzer sind Herzens Menschen. Das Essen ist super lecker. Danke euch für alles wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt bei euch. Wir kommen wieder :-)

Das Mediterran Harburg ist seit nunmehr ca. 10 Jahren eines unserer Lieblings-Restaurants. Das sagt doch eigentlich schon alles. Jeder Fleischliebhaber ist hier bestens aufgehoben; das Grillgemüse und die Beilagen sind auch top und dazu die hausgemachte rote Sauce. Lecker! Unser absoluter Favorit: Mediterran-Platte. Die ist nicht umsonst nach dem Restaurant benannt: nur das Beste. Liebes Team, macht einfach weiter so!

Seit über 8 Jahren besuchen wir jährlich die Fam. Petrovic und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Aus Süditalien "nach Hause" kommend, lassen wir es uns nicht entgehen, die große Vielfalt, gute Qualität und Menge, die wirklich guten Preise und natürlich die sehr freundliche Bedienung in Anspruch zu nehmen. Das Fleisch ist immer schmackhaft zubereitet und die Beilagen sind auch sehr umfangreich. Fur jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Das besonders gute ist, daß es durchgehend geöffnet hat, was wir aus Italien nicht gewohnt sind. Im Mai 2016 sind wir wieder da und freuen uns schon auf den Besuch bei Zoran und seiner Frau. Wir gehen sehr gerne ins Mediterran. Die Portionen sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Der Salat ist immer frisch und lecker.

Gutes Essen und große Portionen. Auch Extra-Wünsche sind kein Problem. Den Salat kann man sich an der Salatbar selbst zusammenstellen. Mit einem Besuch hier kann man wenig falsch machen. Der Außenbereich ist allerdings nicht so schön.

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Portionen und freundliche Bedienung. Salatteller der zum Hauptgericht gehört kann man selbst zusammen stellen.

Der Service war sehr sehr sehr schlecht ! Wir hatten sehr oft leere Gläser und neue Getränke gab es nur auf Nachfrage unsere Seite. Bestellungen falsch aufgenommen und zu viel gebucht. Das Restaurant ist nicht zu empfehlen.RICHTIG SCHLECHT DER LADEN

Das Essen war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und wir mussten nicht lange auf das Essen oder die Getränke warten. Ein Punkt Abzug beim Ambiente, weil der Straßenverkehr doch etwas laut war (wir saßen draußen). Aber es ist nicht so extrem laut. Darum auch nur ein Punkt Abzug.

Einfaches Essen aber es schmeckt nicht schlecht Preise sind ok.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir hatten Schnitzel 'Wiener Art' und Leber. Das Essen war einwandfrei. Auch der Nachtisch, Apfelstrudel, hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Empfehlenswert!
