Restaurant Mario Belli in Jestetten

1 star – an absolute failure! This restaurant is really not recommended. As soon as you enter, you notice that nothing is right here. The smell in the air is unpleasant, and unfortunately this impression continues when you eat. The meat and fish were anything but fresh – more of the “better not try” variety. The taste is a disaster, and if you become suspicious at the first bite, you know that something is wrong. The service? Just bad. Not a word of German, which made communication extremely difficult. And then there's this: waiters who smell unpleasantly of sweat. Sorry, but if you work in the catering industry, you should at least pay attention to hygiene. Conclusion: Never again! If you want to treat yourself to a nice meal, you should definitely avoid this restaurant.

We always enjoy coming here. The food is excellent and the service is good and, above all, very child-friendly. Our favorite restaurant in Jestetten.

Wir waren nicht zum 1 Mal dort aber definitiv zum letzen Mal. Leider hat es sich zu früher sehr zum negativen Entwickelt was sehr schade ist. Ich hatte noch nie so eine unfreundliche und unmotivierte Servicefachkraft gehabt wie am 25.12.2024. Wir hatten extra das Mario Belli Restaurant ausgesucht um mit Familie und Freunden auf das alte Jahr anzustossen und gemütlich was zu Essen und waren 10Personen. Es hat schon angefangen das sie nichts von unserer Reservation gewusst hatte , obwohl wir extra nochmals angerufen hatten um es uns bestätigen zulassen. Darum musste sie uns dann einen Tisch für 10Personen herrichten. Aber es hatte genug Platz und sie hatte keine zusätzlichen Stress, weil das Restaurant den ganzen Abend fast leer war. Aber ab dann war sie richtig launisch zu uns, weil sie keinen Bock hatte zu Arbeiten. Alle meine Gäste fühlten sich richtig unwohl was sehr Schade war. Leider war auch das Essen komplett verkocht und die qualität hat auch nicht mehr gepasst, von 10Teller und div.Vorspeissen waren über die hälfte leider nicht wirklich Geniessbar. Das war früher nie so was ich sehr schade finde. Wir hatten das Gefühl als ob sie nur noch froh waren als wir weg waren und sie Feierabend machen können. Preis Leistung stimmt definitiv nicht mehr und so Gewinnt man definitiv keine Neukunden mehr. Aber vieleicht haben sie es auch nicht mehr nötig, ich weiss es nicht.

Super delicious food. Steak on point, fish excellent and the dessert a bomb. Mario Belli cake is simply amazing. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Great evening with an absolutely fair price. Highly recommended and gladly again. Thanks to the team, you were great. 😊😊😊

Where should I start... When we arrived I was in a positive mood, our table was beautifully decorated for my mother's birthday. As a family, we have several allergies/intolerances. I asked the waitress about it, but unfortunately she didn't know exactly which ingredients were in the dishes. She even advises children who have gluten intolerance to take spaghetti (wheat). Then after a long time the food came. The waitress reacted offended when I asked her, for my safety, whether the salad was without milk. Then the main courses, my horse steak came with herb butter on it even though I pointed out my milk allergy several times. She then took it back with her, after which I got a piece of meat that was completely cooked and dry, I hope it wasn't the same one that she had already taken with her. Ordered was medium. My little son had a veal schnitzel, I've never seen anything like it. It was hard, you couldn't even cut it. I gave the other waitress my plate and said it was dry and I had ordered medium. She didn't apologize or anything. When I paid, the bill was brought to me, just passed my mother's face with no apology, no comment and no discount. Then I asked her about it, she then said yes, I didn't say anything, etc., even though I told the other waitress. The waitress became unfriendly and said if 10% was ok? I would have expected that they would apologize for everything and that at least the meat would be on the house. On top of everything else, my son and I have had complaints ever since. That means it contained ingredients that shouldn't have been included. Conclusion: Not a restaurant for allergy sufferers and not a restaurant for constructive criticism. Very disappointing. The customer is not king here, the main thing is that the waitress is not offended.

A completely bizarre experience. The waitresses seemed like they weren't fully present. Also as if it matters how you react to the food. The food took forever to arrive (over 1 hour) and the food was of very low quality. We were passing through and were totally shocked by the positive reviews of one of the worst restaurants we've been to so far. And relatively expensive too!

In questo locale hanno una selezione di carne alla griglia veramente ottima. I prezzi per queste bistecche , fiorentine e tomawack sono in linea con l'Italia. Lo consiglio vivamente e il personale è molto gentile . Complimenti ragazzi!!!

One of the best eating experiences we've had this year! Amazing food, service and ambiance. We went with our 2 daughters, who also loved the experience and food. The meat is exquisite, as well as their pasta and veggies - I don't think you can go wrong.

Stopped in for lunch on the way to Schaffhausen. Clean, comfortable. There is a veranda for smoking. The steaks are quite decent, cooked correctly. There is a Russian speaking waitress. Very friendly atmosphere👍

It was a really great evening. The service was very nice and attentive. The food was bombastic. None of our troops had anything to complain about. (Our birthday child was also surprised ☺️) The desserts were first class! Always happy!

You automatically and unintentionally sit in the dingy smoking area of ​​the glassed-in veranda. Food looks and tastes terrible, ambience dusty and outdated. Please revise.

Ate very well. We also had a very nice and attentive service employee. Unfortunately the landlord pretty much ignored us. There were 16 of us - so it would be appropriate to stand up and say thank you when we say goodbye. A pity.

This is a must-visit restaurant before or after going to Schaffhausen Rhine Falls. The steak is delicious and German beer is a unique experience. The owner is also kind. It only takes about 10 minutes from the Rhine Falls.

The food was tasty and arrived quickly - but there wasn't much going on in the restaurant. The waiter wasn't unfriendly but not exactly friendly either. When we paid we noticed that the bill was more expensive than the prices on the menu. Either the menu is outdated and the prices have changed or the guests are simply being ripped off. We won't come back.

Awful food, prices little higher than usually in Germany but food disgusting. Salats were not fresh at all and meat was like shoe sole. But if the only problem was the food, I wouldn't be writing this review. The worst thing was the service. The female waiter/bartender acts like you've broken into her house and are causing her trouble. She was rude and mocked our questions about the menu. We waited for the order for more than an hour, despite the fact that we ordered steak and salad. Experience was awful. Never again.

Very good food and service, especially from a very attentive worker. It is worth going and accepting this woman's suggestions. She makes meal time very pleasant and is very open to responding and serving you.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Service freundlich, aufmerksam aber nicht übertrieben. Salat-Dressing am Maya-Salat extrem lecker (süss aber nicht klebrig), das Rinderfilet medium rare auf den Punkt, Cordon Bleu auch gut und die Beilagen ebenfalls. Wir kommen sicher mal wieder ☺️

On the occasion of our marriage, we had dinner with 5 teenagers and 4 adults for the first time at the Mario Belli restaurant with a reservation. We had calamari (the best we have ever eaten), lamb fillet, salmon tallagtielle and beef skewers (these are huge). The men had a high quality steak. The children kept ordering vanilla ice cream. Blueberry cheesecakes and Mario Belli's cake are heavenly. The service was absolutely perfect. We were surprised at how quickly everything was conjured up. Everyone was completely thrilled. The meat quality is outstanding. We paid 400 euros for 10 people and were blown away by the price-performance ratio, so thank you again for this wonderful evening. The calamari was okay, but the sauce wasn't homemade. As a result, I can make things much better and cheaper at home. The beef soup wasn't homemade either (or no better than from a can), even though it was homemade according to the menu. Beef fillet in the main course was very tasty, but the fries were lukewarm and therefore failed. Risotto with truffle was the only dish that was very good overall. The big surprise when paying is that they don't take Amex, which would have been important for us. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back and won't recommend the restaurant.

Sehr gutes Restaurant 👍 für den Fleischliebhaber, freundliches Personal und schönes Ambiente, einzig wenn man mit Vegetarier unterwegs ist ist dies zwar möglich, aber das Angebot ist überschaubar. Aber eben, zu Mario geht man weil man zur Gattung der Predatoren gehört.

Essen ist lecker, aber hat lange gedauert bis es kam, obwohl es nicht sehr voll ist. Der Service ist nicht achtsam, schauen nicht mal links oder rechts, wenn sie bei einem Tisch waren, nur gerade aus ( scheuklappen) mal nach einem zweiten Getränk fragen , schade sonst zu empfehlen was Essen betrifft.

Wir sind Feinschmecker rund wir waren begeistert von unserer Menüwahl, obwohl wir uns schwer taten, da das grosse Angebot der Speisekarte nur Leckeres versprach. Zur Vorspeise wählte ich Calanares - sehr nett im Metallkörbchen serviert. Den gegrillten Octopus würde ich sofort wieder wählen, er war zart und schmackhaft. Als Überraschung gab es zum krönenden Abschluss lauwarmen Apfelstrudel, dezent mit Zimt gewürzt und Puderzucker bestreut, passend zur Jahreszeit. Auch der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Wenn ich wieder in der Region bin, reserviere ich sicher bei Mario Belli einen Tisch.

Bedauerlicherweise. Lesen Sie viele gute Bewertungen über dieses Restaurant. Generell gebe ich kein negatives Feedback. Für den Fall, dass ich jedoch ein halbgekochtes Cordon Blue bekam. Zum zweiten Mal aufgewärmt und immer noch unzureichend gekocht. Der Hunger war eigentlich weg, dafür gab es Schnitzel als Ersatz. Das war gut. Der Oktopus meines Partners war auch in Ordnung. Leider war die positive Stimmung auf unserer Seite verflogen. Darauf sollte der Koch auf jeden Fall angesprochen werden. Der Service war allerdings wirklich gut.

Wir essen immer einmal im Monat hier. Das Essen ist sehr gut, das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und das Personal ist sehr nett. Wir gehen immer mit meinem 7 Monate alten Sohn hin, und sie kümmern sich sehr gut um ihn. Muchas gracias por el gran trato que nos dan y la comida deliciosa.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Wir hatten; Fritierte Calamares, Melanzano, Rindsfilet und Trüffel Risotto... ist alles sehr zu empfehlen! Der Service dagegen war eine kleine Geduldsprobe, was ich sehr schade finde. Es ging eine Weile bis wir die Getränke bestellen konnten, dabei ging dan ein Getränk vergessen... und bis wir das Essen bestellen konnten ging es nochmals gute 20min.. Es wirkte so als würde sie nicht zurech kommen obwohl es nach 14.00 nicht mehr so viel Gäste hatte.

Der Besitzer ist persönlich vorbeigekommen um mich zu fragen wie das T-Bone-Steak geworden ist, da ich es English Rare bestellt hatte. Steak schmeckt super und ist nur jedem empfehlen. Tolles Restaurant
