Food was delicious and service was very friendly!

Family business, everyone very friendly. Storage room with charging option (e-bike) for bicycles. Restaurant with very good cuisine. I can only recommend it.

Very good and varied menu and the price is absolutely right. You can't say anything about a lunch menu for just under €22 and it was also tasty and good with soup and dessert. But since there was a hiking group there today, we had to wait 40 minutes before we could pay. Of course that doesn't work at all!

Great food once again, never been disappointed, keep it up 👏

We were on the terrace of the restaurant eating around 2pm, very good value for money and the waiters were very friendly.

Very good reception! after a refusal to install us on the terrace when we left, the server installed us on the terrace for us. I specify that it was only 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening! Ala end of our dish at 9:15pm we threw it, no dessert no coffee i was 9:15pm! This restaurant only thought about the money! Banish! and besides, it's not good!

So first of all, thank you for the complete package. Every table in the restaurant was occupied and we were then allowed to enjoy the meal alone in the room. So a private room suits us 2 adults and a child. It was already awesome. The service was great. Attentive and happy to work. Always a smile, nice to see something like that. The gentleman in service was also there often to check that everything was going well. So really attentive. But when we went out and said goodbye, it turned out that the gentleman in service was the boss there. Hey, compliments, that's such a great thing that no matter what position you have, you do the same work as the employees and are on an equal level with them. Really likeable guy. All I can say about the food is TOP... Children's plate was "very tasty" The fillet with pepper sauce and the XXL sirloin steak, both were a tender dream. This meat is really top quality. This really needs to be said. The sauce is really awesome... You could drink it, it's that cool. I always said that with a good piece of meat, it's a shame to cover the taste with a sauce. But you simply have to do this combination when eating, top meat and top sauce. It doesn't get any better! The leg fillet was ordered medium, I would say it hit the spot, the steak was ordered rare and received as requested. Fresh spaetzli very tasty and fries crispy. So clearly everything from A - Z, perfect. Can't be beaten. Now all I have to say is we'll be back. greetings from Switzerland

The rooms are OK, clean and the staff are kind.

The two of us came here for dinner. The service was nice and courteous. We got the best Aperol Spritz ever. Perfectly mixed and with lots of Aperol in it. Excellent. The food was also excellent. We had the pike perch and the beef fillet medallions. Beautifully prepared and delicious. The dessert was also great. We'd love to come back. Price performance ratio very good 👍🏻 Another recommendation from a wine connoisseur… the wine should be served chilled in summer.

Restaurants review only: we only stayed 2 hours in Germany after visiting Rhine falls. We had great late afternoon German lunch and it was awesome. Potatoes plates was my favorite and pork plates were super good. Also price was reasonable.

The rooms are old, but clean. The breakfast is terrible, it's too expensive, the value for money is definitely not right

It was OK. Please don't smear steak with this red tomato sauce. It loses all meat flavor.

I made a reservation yesterday July 1st, 2024 for today, Tuesday July 2nd, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. for 3 people (to celebrate my birthday). The serving daughter was, as always, very unfriendly and seemed very arrogant, but I was already used to that. But when she said, not even 5 minutes after clearing the plates at 9 p.m., she wanted to finish work and collect money. When I asked her if I could have another dessert, she said no, very unfriendly. Very unpleasant feeling when you make a reservation and on the website it says that it is open until 10 p.m. and then you are thrown out of the store an hour before closing time. This is definitely my last visit. PS: If you don't like being humiliated, you should avoid this place!

Reviews were good on booking dot com After this must say it destroys your confidence in reviews Expected 200 year old inn to be historic and decent It was awful ! Service was awful Room was really poor bed was old and worn room was needing severe refurbishment . It had a horrible smell and this was addressed by a spray of some deodorant on carpet and some explanation that people had spilt beer in room. Toilet was weird with strange thin towels of questionable colour. Delivered wrong meals to our table eventually removed with no apology. Wanted more drinks had to look for staff who seemed more interested in closing down and no lights out on when dark then they closed down restaurant as seemed to be leaving at 9.45 pm I do not wish just to be negative but the hotel was run on a show string . The breakfast was awful with watered down orange juice Drinks in fridge had been opened and empty . The selection of food was produced at a tight budget . The attitude of staff was hostile and unfriendly. I can’t write more about my bad experience. On leaving asked by owner. In an aggressive manner had we paid for mini bar without any acknowledgement of our custom as to whether we enjoyed our stay . Dearie me!!!!! Glad to get out alive . Worst experience in Germany . Rhine falls was superb after we left . Bye for ever !!!! This will no doubt be removed but the truth carries the furthest.

Very tasty, very friendly staff. We ate German. Spaetzle were also super tasty and definitely homemade. Highly recommended! If I'm in the area again, I'd love to come back.

I'm only reviewing the restaurant here. We had dinner with 12 people and everyone really liked the food. The wait was reasonable and the service was good. Recommended!

We recently visited this inn near the German-Swiss border hoping for a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, our visit did not live up to our expectations, especially in terms of value for money and the quality of the food. A main point of our disappointment was the XXL Cordon Bleu for 28 euros, which, in addition to its excessive price (simple pork) for German standards, was also disappointing in terms of taste. There was a complete lack of salt and no salt was offered at the table nor was there any inquiry as to whether the dish was to our liking. Although the service was friendly, communication was not in German and there was a lack of proactive customer support. The pleasant atmosphere of the inn and the good parking situation should be highlighted positively. Nevertheless, the serious lack of taste and the poor price-performance ratio weigh heavily. For a couple who paid 70 euros for two Cordon Bleu dishes with spaetzle and simple drinks, this was disappointing. Taking this experience into account and the importance that the main course plays in a dining experience, I tend to give the inn 2 out of 5 stars. This reflects the disappointing experience with the food and the feeling that the price does not match the quality. It's unfortunate, but based on this experience we probably won't visit this inn again.

We stopped there on the way through on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant is very “quaint”; I liked it a lot. The menu offers plenty of choice plus an Indian section, which really suited my wife. So we had German cuisine twice and Indian once. I would say this “inclusion” in the kitchen worked well.

Friendly service and the food was delicious

We only ate and ONLY rate the restaurant: In 2023 we were guests 5 times in 2 stages, I think that's a statement! We tested the Indian food in different versions and added the tip so that it got the “kitchen”. We generally stuck to Indian food and will always stop in Jestetten on our trips to Zurich to eat “Indian” again. Then why “only” 4 stars. It's true that the service is friendly and makes an effort, but if we make a reservation the day before, we expect what we reserved, especially since we got there 15-20 minutes earlier. And if "little Napoleon" (that's what we affectionately call the boss internally) hadn't made an effort and moderated his service staff :-), then we would have been disappointed. That's how he saved it. Despite the need to get good service staff in these times, I confirm to the boss that he is trying a lot in his power to manage this. One evening a "Kölscher Jung" served us as a substitute. He didn't know the menu yet, but he was in a good mood and did everything well. We'll be back every chance we get!

Good food at a reasonable price

The separate smoking room is very good. Otherwise prices like elsewhere only in a brothel!

Das deutsche Essen ist gut bürgerlich und preislich ok. Die Einrichtung ist schon recht alt und sollte in irgend einer Weise mal aufgefrischt werden.

Bei Restaurant zum Löwen Jestetten das Essen war Weltklasse und der Service war sehr freundlich. Die Lage und Park möglichkeiten sind super. Die Preise für das Essen war nicht überteuert und völlig in Ordnung. Man kann mit guten Gewissen empfehlen.

Sehr Tolles Restaurant und auch gut geschmückt. Der Service war wirklich gut der Kellener hat immer nachgefragt ob alles stimmt. Das Essen war auch wirklich gut vorallem der Salt war wirklich lecker den würde ich zutiefst empfehlen. Dessert Grosse Auswahl von Eis und Deutschen Spezialitäten und der Preis hat am Ende auch gut gestimmt. Eins in allem gefasst würde ich sagen wenn man mal in der Nähe ist unbedingt ausprobieren.

Wir Ehepaar waren am Freitag Essen Ich habe ein Wienerschnitzel gebt leidet war es au die Fritöse gebacken es war trocken und Leider nicht gut. so wird es nicht gemacht. Meine Frau hat Schweinefilet mit pilzsauce gegessen saue war gut das Fleisch schon zwei mal Tot. Wir war Früher öfter hier, jetzt nicht mehr.

Restaurant review: the German dishes are truly tasty and affordable. The service is honest and attentive. We did not try the Indian food but the entrecôte and the trout were rich and fulfilling. The portions are downright huge. You won’t leave the place with an empty stomach. The only comment is that the staff promised they had an English-language menu and they didn’t have one. Google translate’s camera did the job well. I regret not having tried the Indian part of the menu

2018 Dezember waren wir dort. Alles gut und Preis ist nett.

Gute Qualität der Speisen. Aufmerksamer Service. Hatte das klassische Schweineschnitzel mi Pommes. Knusprig, heiß. Sehr günstig mit14.90 inkl Salat. Nächstes Mal sind die indischen Speisen zu testen. Umfangreiche aber nicht überladene Karte. Preiswert = seinen Preis wert, könnte auch nen Euro mehr kosten.

Bin heute am 18.10.2023 mit meiner Frau und unseren zwei Kinder dort gewesen. Sehr freundliches Personal, es ist sehr gemütlich. Es hat eine gut bürgerliche Küche. Die Räumlichkeiten sind älter, so wie früher viele Dorf-Restaurants ausgesehen haben, es ist Sauber und gepflegt! Es muss nicht immer Modernerstyle sein. :-) In unseren Augen war das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung. Das Essen war eine Augenweide, so wie das Essen ausgesehen hat, hatte es auch geschmeckt. TipTop, können es nur weiterempfehlen!. :-)

Wir waren heute Abend, den 3.10.23 im Löwen Abendessen, ich hatte einen Wildschwein Schmorbraten mit Rotkohl und Kroketten, selten einen so guten Wildschwein Schmorbraten gegessen, auch meine Familie war sehr zufrieden mit dem was sie gegessen haben, ich kann den Löwen in Jesstetten wärmstens empfehlen, auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich, nochmals ein Lob für den Koch, der diese Spezialitäten zubereitet hat. PS:ich hatte heute meinen 71.zigsten Geburtstag.👍🍽😋👏

Superfeines Cordon bleu, Wildgerichte

Gestern waren wir zu Gast in diesem tollen Restaurant. Von der ersten Sekunde an haben wir uns dort total wohl gefühlt, weil das gesamte Personal durchweg sehr freundlich war. Wir haben uns für die gut bürgerliche Küche entschieden und zwei sehr schmackhafte und frisch zubereitete Gerichte zu fairen Preisen bekommen. Jederzeit wieder!!

Tolles Restaurant an der strasse. Sehr positiv überrascht. Beste semmelknödel aller Zeiten! Fluffig und trotzdem hart. Ideal für pilzgerichte in sauce. Moderate Preise. Netter Chef und freundliches Personal. Bier arsch kalt. Gerne wieder!

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, im Restaurant "Zum Löwen" zu essen, und es war eine großartige Erfahrung. Die Bedienung war hervorragend und sehr nett. Das Essen war einfach spitze, und die Portionen waren großzügig bemessen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist perfekt. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen! Wir waren zum Abendessen dort,Grillteller Fleisch war geschmacklich gut, Portionsgröße doch Recht klein(Mini Stücke Fleisch , für 26 €)find ich schon pappig. Salatteller war OK ,kein Brot bekommen. Waren nur Essen.

Heute besuchten wir während eines Urlaubs das Restaurant zum Löwen in Jestetten. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker, der Service vorbildlich und stets freundlich. Man merkt hier sofort, daß die Zufriedenheit der Gäste an erster Stelle steht. Von unserer Seite aus auf jeden Fall eine absolute Empfehlung und an das gesamte Team vom Löwen ein Dankeschön für das vorzügliche Mahl und den ausgesprochen netten Service. Zimmer können wir nicht bewerten, wir waren dort essen, der Service vom bestellen bis zum Essen passt hier zu 100% Preise sind fair und es war sehr lecker!
