Nach 1,5 Stunden Wartezeit sind wir ohne zu essen gegangen! Nicht mal trockenes Brot zwischendurch bekommen! Sowas geht gar nicht!!!!! Nie wieder 🤮

Feierten am 18.4 2026 mit 27 Gästen im schönen Raum mit Ausgang auf Terasse. Großes Kompliment an Küche, von Vorspeise bis zum Dessert ausgezeichnet, Hauptspeise für alle von Karte ging zügig und wurde hochgelobt. Tische wurden sehr schön und mit Liebe eingedeckt. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienungen. Vielen Dank an Restaurant Mandino. Kommen sehr gerne wieder. Sylvia und Günter Endres.

Seit ewiger Zeit beständig gutes mediterranes Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Der Service ist zuvirkommend und präsent, aber nicht aufdringlich und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Mandino ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Italienisches Ambiente mit Fränkischer Gastfreundschaft ist das möglich???!!! Eine hervorragende Kombination bietet das Restaurand MANDINO am Schenkenturn. Das Restaurant bietet einen Biergarten und sehr gemütliche Gasträume. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich gestaltet und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Von Vorspeisen über Hauptgang bis zum Dessert alles frisch und von sehr guter Qualität Zu dem bietet das Restaurant einen hervorragenden Ausblick. Die Seele baumeln lassen nach Fränkischer Art Und 🍷 Wein und hervorragende Speisen genießen nach Italienenischer Art - eine hervorragende Kombination: Essen ist ein Bedürfnis Genießen ist eine Kunst . Wir können besonders den Antipastiteller und die Kalbsleber empfehlen - Pizza sowieso! Wir können das Restaurant Mandino mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

The pizza was very good. The price/performance ratio was okay. What I would change is that the cutlery is already on the table. Four or six sets of cutlery with napkins in a practical little bag would be ideal. The disadvantage is that as a new guest, you don't know what the previous guests might have done with them. Not hygienic!

The food was actually very appetizing, however, I am extremely outraged by the service. The staff made it clear that they didn't get along with each other, which had a huge impact on the quality of service. Employees were coldly humiliated in front of other employees – which is completely unacceptable and disturbed my peace while I ate. Never again!!!

We were a small group of seven people. The first waiter only partially took our drink order. Then the manager came and started taking our food order, but left mid-order. The food was okay.

A very good restaurant with a great view. It's always full, so make a reservation, and it can sometimes take a while. It's not for those in a hurry, but if it takes a while, you can watch the planes or admire the view. The service is still very good. We stayed overnight in the large parking lot with our campervan, which was great!

There were four of us eating there, waiting time was 1.40 hours, the second drink we ordered was still not there after 45 minutes, a disaster, never again, no apology or anything, people got up and paid for their drinks after 2 hours of waiting without food

Six of us ate here. The food was still very, very tasty. But the portions are shrinking; it took 1.5 hours. The service was nice, but overall unsatisfactory. What a shame.

If you're willing to pay a little more for great food, this is the place for you! They also offer small portions, which is ideal for guests with smaller stomachs. The service staff were very friendly, and orders were served quickly. From the terrace, you can watch the light aircraft taking off and landing at the neighboring airfield without being disturbed by excessive aircraft noise.

First, the positive: Very nice location at the airport with a great view over the city and nice and airy in hot weather. The food (when it arrives (see below)) is very good. The dessert was also great. And the coffee, too. But... The restaurant claims to be a "Slow Cucina," and the menu already greets you with a warning that it can take 30-90 minutes for the food to arrive. Hmmm, that has little to do with the Slow Food movement... The term seems to be their own creation. In my humble opinion, the "slow" probably has more to do with having far too many tables occupied and not enough kitchen staff, or a kitchen that's too small. We actually waited an hour and 25 minutes for a simple pizza and a salad!! And that was at a time when not so many guests were ordering food. My three-time request for some bread with the salad was acknowledged, but none arrived. Even our question about whether they could bridge the waiting time for the hungry children with a few pieces of bread/pizza sticks/etc. was simply ignored. Upon entering the restaurant, we were left standing for 10 minutes, despite two people working at the bar, without being greeted, and our reserved table wasn't ready on time. We raised all of this on the spot, but there was no particular response. All in all, a very mixed experience. If you know all of this in advance and are conscious of it, you can certainly eat well at Mandino. But we probably won't be coming back.

The restaurant is worth a visit, combined with a good Italian meal. You can sit inside or outside, although I personally prefer the outdoor area because there's more space and you can watch the jets taking off and landing. The pizza is definitely recommended and tastes very good. The staff is very friendly. I'd be happy to come back.

Pizza was OK...nothing special...drink prices were outrageous...a 0.5 ml Spezi was €5.50...(purchase price €0.37)...I'll add another €3.50 and buy a whole case...that's not how you make friends...Ciao Ragazzi...

The food (appetizers) was delicious, but the 1.5-hour wait wasn't worth it. It's disproportionate. It's also a shame when you make a reservation and then have to go inside without a proper apology. The only server was very nice and tried very hard.

Los ging es mit einer verbummelten Reservierung. Nach einiger Zeit bemühte sich ein Mitarbeiter einen Schrank beiseite zu schieben und 2 Tische zusammen zu schieben. So hatten wir zu fünft wenigstens einen vierer Tisch mit zwei verschiedenen Höhen. Wir bestellten vier Vorspeisen auf die wir 70 Minuten warteten. Zwischenzeitlich kam das Hauptgericht meiner Tochter schon mal vorab. Offensichtlich hatte man die Vorspeisen vergessen. Die Rosmarinkartoffel haben weder nach Rosmarin geschmeckt noch war welcher zu sehen. Das Saltim Bocca war so zäh, dass ich mich mittlerweile frage ob es überhaupt Kalbfleisch war, denn wie muss man das Fleisch bitte quälen um das so hin zu bekommen. Der Salat war verwelkt und offensichtlich nicht gewaschen. Jedenfalls sagte das der Sand beim Kauen. Bei beiden Schnitzeln mit Parmesanpanade von der Tageskarte fehlte der Parmesan. Es sei denn es gibt jetzt Parmesan ohne Geschmack. Der Service war unaufmerksam und genervt. Fazit: unterirdisch und für diesen Preis echt grenzwertig.

Positiv: +Obwohl die Pizza nach unserem Empfinden keine "typische" Pizza ist, war sie lecker und zu empfehlen +Das Ambieten draußen ist nett und tatsächlich direkt an der Landebahn, im Sommer recht gemütlich. Negativ: -Die große Cola für 5,50 EUR ist schon teuer -Der große Beilagensalat für über 10€ ist deutlich zu teuer (für die Größe und das was es ist) -Wackelige Tische im Aussenbereich

The view is unbeatable, a wonderful view over Würzburg. The garden is spacious and covered, so even light rain is no problem. The location is good for visiting with children. Yes, and now the problem: The wait is very long for the food; for us, it was well over an hour. There were eight of us at Mandino's. My salmon-filled pasta was a bit too al dente. The others had saltimbocca and scampi and were very satisfied. I found the plates too overloaded. The service was friendly and attentive. After a few months of lockdown, we were back here. The service was very fast and very, very friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Mandino pizza. There's plenty of room inside for many people. The restroom is across the courtyard. There's plenty of parking. Back here after a long time. And what can I say: Groundhog Day. Another great view, an hour and a half wait for the food, unattentive staff, and mediocre food. Prices are reasonable.

Die Pizza war ungenießbar!! Hauchdünner Boden, der selbst mit einem Sägemesser nicht geteilt werden konnte. Den Thunfisch war nur mit einer Lupe zu erkennen. Sonst nur Zwiebeln und einen komischen Käse. Ich werde dieses "Restaurant" nie wieder besuchen. Das ist jeder Cent zuviel.

A cozy restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. You can see and taste that the food is cooked with heart and soul. I was here on a Sunday, and the restaurant was very busy. So it took a while for the food to arrive. But they make sure you and your friends get your food at the same time. The fact that the kitchen is under pressure isn't noticeable in the food; everything was wonderful. I'll definitely eat here again. If you can't stand waiting for your food, come on a less busy day.

The Mandino restaurant is hidden between the Schenkenturm and the airport. Not just for insiders. We enjoyed delicious antipasti, bruschetta, pizzas and squid with very attentive, loving service. Can only recommend👍

I had a pizza, it was ok, I would say it's one of the better pizzas, but not the best I've ever had. The price for the portion size is absolutely great. What was really remarkable was that the service was simply above average and sensational! I have rarely seen such good service. Attentive, very friendly and extremely helpful when it comes to recommendations. I would best rate service with a 10/5!

Today I ate a great sea bream from the grill that was absolutely perfect, a dream! The seafood salad is also very tasty and very tender, all freshly cooked in-house. The pizza calzone has always been very good for years. And much more... So everything is highly recommended!

We were there for dinner with a larger group as part of a family celebration. The ambience above the rooftops of Würzburg is very beautiful and unique. What doesn't fit, however, are the food and drink prices, very expensive. Here they have probably adapted to the Killianifest. Radler 0.4 liters costs €5.40. Not all drinks were available anymore, so it may have been nice to have a notice in advance. It took a long time for the food to arrive, the first meal was already finished by the time the last meal came. The service so-so. The toilets were underground, dirty and smelly, and the water from the tap wasn't enough to wash your hands. All in all, the price and performance are no longer in proportion. We will not visit the restaurant again.

Unfortunately, Mandino has lost a lot of energy; Today we were particularly disappointed because some of the food was not edible and was charged in full after we complained. There was ice cream “for free”. The service was very attentive, otherwise a complete disappointment; Toilet facilities disgusting, no/little sun protection on the terrace.

Price-performance definitely doesn't fit here. The apple spritzer for 6 euros consists almost entirely of water. The small side salad for 7 euros (!) is dressed with a ready-made dressing. My husband had a tomato soup that only tasted like pureed tomatoes from a jar. My lasagna was also completely overcooked and since when does an Italian lasagne contain ham? By the way, the (original Italian) carbonara is not made with cream, dear Mandino team - that's a no go. The three of us had a bill of almost 80 euros - absolutely overpriced for such a meal "without love". Our feedback on the food was not taken into account at all, there was no offer of an espresso on the house, let alone insight. The food here used to be really good, but not anymore. I suspect a change of operator, or a new chef who doesn't practice his craft with love. Look, it's a shame!

Very nice location with a view of the Steinberg, Würzburg and the hustle and bustle at the airport. The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered pizzas, which came quite quickly. The waiting time was absolutely fine, even though the terrace was quite full. The pizzas were very tasty (Pizza Mandino as a house pizza is highly recommended!). In my opinion the prices are ok. To be recommended without reservation.

The small Italian restaurant is slightly hidden next to a sports airport. The pizzas are and taste like they are in Italy. The pasta dishes also looked very tasty. At the end there were wonderful desserts. The conditions were all very friendly. Highly recommended for a spontaneous visit. Even the outdoor toilet is very reminiscent of the toilet on the beach in Italy, and they are clean.

A total disgrace for Schenkenfeld airfield! This place is ready! Untrained, incompetent staff who has no idea about service. It's a shame to "let loose" something like that on paying guests. Waiting times for the food and also “breaks” between starter and main course can last 1.5 hours. You can do without the cold plates that are then served. The owner has 28 years of operation stuffed and apparently only thinking about vacation. The unkempt outdoor area with rotten, partially defective sun protection, where leaves and beetles i.d. Plates fall and the moldy toilets speak the same language. Just angular! A case for the supervisory authority and the airport operator! !

A great meal. I had a great pasta. Unfortunately the house (aviation barracks) is getting a bit old. But many like that. Try to reserve. If you sit near the door in winter, you should wear warm shoes.

A restaurant at the airport is actually a real plus for the airport and people like to fly there. That's why 5 stars for the ambience. But the service is a disaster. We waited an hour for our food. And things weren't any better at the other tables either. Every now and then guests left because they were no longer prepared to wait any longer. Then you lose the fun of the trip.

We ate in the restaurant today, it's a cozy inn. The service was very friendly and accommodating. My wife only ate soup and I ate pizza. The food was very good.

Personal (inklusive Chefin) unhöflich, essen nicht besonders, Toiletten dreckig, Wartezeit absolut nicht ok, Reservierungen werden nicht beachtet, man wird vom Personal noch angemotzt, weil sie Fehler machen

Eigentlich ein nettes Restaurant - aber: Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 1 Kind. Die Vorspeise kam relativ zügig. Beim Hauptgericht wurden die Spaghetti Aglio e Olio eines Erwachsenen schlicht vergessen. Erst nachdem wir zweimal bescheid gegeben haben und alle fertig mit ihrem Essen waren, kamen die Spaghetti. So ein Fehler kann immer mal passieren, aber die Reaktion der Besitzerin war spannend. Es kam keinerlei Entschuldigung! Auf unsere Frage nach einer Weinschorle aufs Haus hieß es, das könne man nicht machen. Die Weinschorle kam und war sehr schlecht! Mehr Wasser als Wein und das war zudem ein ganz billiger Fusel und tatsächlich stand er auf der Rechnung! Letztlich haben wir ihn nicht bezahlt. Unterm Strich waren wir sehr enttäuscht! Schade, denn wie gesagt - eigentlich ein nettes Restaurant am Rande eines Flugplatzes.

Als erstes möchte ich mal das Essen mit 5 Sternen bewerten. Der Antipasti Teller ist eine Wucht. Da ich so was in der Art oft beim Italiener bestelle, kann ich sagen, dass es das beste Antipasti im Umkreis ist. Die Pizza ist so wie ich sie mag, dünn und knusprig und reichlich belegt. Es gibt auch, wenn man möchte , Knoblauch-oder Chilliöl dazu. Der Salat ist gut angemacht und frisch. Das man im Mandino etwas länger auf sein Essen wartet ist wohl deswegen, weil alles frisch gemacht wird. Ich persönlich warte da gern! Die Bedienungen waren immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vielleicht sollte man als Gast auch mal ein bisschen Verständnis aufbringen, wenn es mal nicht so klappt und freundlich bleiben.

The location of the restaurant is very good, as you have a view of Würzburg in a different perspective. The service was quite friendly and fast. There were children's chairs available and a children's playground in the corner was accessible. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the card device hung on the payment, but we personally didn't think that was bad. If someone is looking for the toilet, it is outside and behind the restaurant

Wunderschöne Aussicht bei gutem italienischem Essen. Die Terrasse ist schlicht, aber überzeugt mit einem tollen Blick auf Würzburg! Die Pizza und Cannelloni waren sehr lecker, der Nachtisch, Erdbeertiramisu für 7,90€, war ok.

Erstmal das beste zuerst: Location ist top, Aussicht grandios, Restaurant sauber und gemütlich. Das Essen ist guter Durchschnitt, der Wein lecker. Der Service ist jedoch ausbaufähig. Eine Servicekraft ist sehr flott und freundlich, der Rest scheint eher überfordert und abwesend, teilweise hat es sehr lange gedauert. Komme wieder hierher allerdings nur wegen der tollen Location.

Wir waren mit unserer kleinen Familie dort. Es war ein schöner Sommertag und man kann super draußen sitzen und auch dem Flugbetrieb zusehen. Kein Stadtstress und sehr schöne Aussicht über Würzburg. Ein kleiner Spielplatz mit Sand und Schaukel direkt am Restaurant wurde von den Kindern während der Wartezeit gerne genutzt. Wir hatten Pizza und Nudeln. Beides war top. Dünner Pizzateig, cross, nicht fettig. Sehr schmackhaft. Hätte etwas größer sein können, die Pizza. Jedoch, wenn ich so auf meinen Bauch gucke, dann war sie groß genug. Ich habe hier gelesen, dass die Bedienung unfreundlich war. Kann ich nicht bestätigen. Ich schätze, das lag einfach an meinem umwerfenden Charme oder vielleicht ist es auch einfach so: „Wie es in den Wald herein schallt, so kommt es auch wieder zurück“. Das ist hier kein „Edel-Italiener“. Und das muss es auch nicht sein. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt. Daher uneingeschränkte Empfehlung. Und ja, im Sommer natürlich besonders schön.

Hallo, ich habe seit langem nicht mehr eine so perfekte Pizza gegessen. Klar sind Geschmäcker verschieden. Aber die Pizza Speciale war sehr gut belegt, der Teig war dünn und knusprig. Geschmacklich eine Explosion. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und immer sehr aufmerksam. Auch die Spargelcremesuppe mit grünem Spargel hervorragend. Ich kann es euch mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.
