Locanda Würzburg - Pizza & Pasta in Würzburg

We came here spontaneously as a group of four and, no joke, had to wait over 30 minutes for our starter. Absolutely unacceptable.

Yesterday evening, the three of us ate at Locanda. We had a table reservation for 6:00 PM, but arrived at 5:30 PM and asked if it would be possible to sit at any table without ordering anything or staying there, as my companion wasn't feeling well. We were told that unfortunately, this wasn't possible because all the tables were occupied (for example, a large table near the entrance was empty, even 30 minutes later; they could easily have let us wait there). The young man at the entrance suggested we order mulled wine at the bar outside, but we had specifically asked for a table because of her health. When we asked about our table again at 6:00 PM, we were seated upstairs, where only one table was occupied the entire time; we could have easily waited there as well. We ordered one pizza, two pasta dishes, a still water, a tea, and two soft drinks. The water was simply placed on our table without a word, and the drinks didn't arrive at the same time. There was almost an hour between our drinks and the food. We asked the server if we could order our food at the same time as our drinks, but they said that wasn't possible because they needed time for the bar staff. However, it worked for other tables… 30 minutes after we ordered, the server informed us that they had run out of meatballs, meaning one of the pasta dishes was sold out. Even after that, we had to wait a long time for our food. In the meantime, the upstairs area became so crowded that conversation was barely possible due to the high noise level. The number of servers was also far too low. The ones assigned to our section were very attentive, but one server for seven tables, two of which had more than ten people, simply couldn't meet the needs of the customers. The food itself was of good quality. Unfortunately, all in all, a very poor restaurant experience and our first and last visit to Locanda.

Good and (in case anyone doesn't know them) huge pizza, friendly staff, plenty of tables inside and outside. Takeaway orders are also possible.

Yes, the pizzas are very large, but also correspondingly more expensive than in other pizzerias. My pizza tasted great, too. So why did I deduct a star? Because the amount of toppings (in my case, specifically the salami, and for the others at the table, ham, mushrooms, etc.) is only roughly equivalent to that of a 32 cm pizza. So, while they are large and good, in my opinion, they are also somewhat sparsely topped. Whether that bothers you is something everyone can decide for themselves based on the photo. The service was good. We were served quickly and politely.

It was great, a bit noisy, the staff were very friendly, and the pizza was excellent. The pasta was also very tasty.

I didn't complain to the waiters because I assume the issues are mostly about managing/organizational/philosophy. We arrived without reservation and were asked to keep it within 90min. It took 45minutes to get the beers. And 55 to get the antipasti misti. The Antipasti are an abomination, I am Italian and I felt like crying when I saw that they jarred up all the salami, cheese, sottolio e sottaceto together, mixing flavours that are not supposed to. It came layered up like a parmigiana tower. The pizza came immediately while having the antipasti - in Italy if you do that, basically you are done - and we were kind of blackmailed into that had because the waiter told us otherwise we needed to wait one more hour. The pizza are giant and not bad, but I had asked my quattro formaggi pizza without tomato sauce and to bring some chilly pepper oil. They forgot both. At a certain point they played fast disco music that really felt inappropriate for a pizzeria and it was all getting surreal with 5 waiters watching around but the orders never coming till an hour later, that now we just couldn't stand the place anymore. We asked boxes to pack the pizza, the waitress brought small ones. Then she said she was gonna bring the big ones. Comes the other waiter and brings again the small ones. Finally another 10 minutes the big ones come. We pay and leave. For that they came so quickly. We laughed a lot though cause this was the worse place I have ever eaten in my life. Honestly people, do it with love or don't do it at all.

The pizza was OK. You can also combine two variables on one on the regular (not the napolian) pizza. My colleagues liked it but compared to the authentic napolian pizza, there is still space for improvement. The service was a bit slow, as it was quite full when we were there.

Very nice restaurant, good food, friendly staff. However, the staff is very slow and you should expect long waiting times, even when the restaurant is empty.

A nice restaurant in a good location with a pleasant atmosphere. Considering it was a Monday evening (5:30 pm) and the restaurant was practically empty, it took 45 minutes for the appetizer to arrive, and only after we asked for it! The waiters seemed overwhelmed. The pizza was tasty, but very oily.

We had a very good meal, the service was attentive and friendly. There's a great terrace in the summer. Centrally located.

The food is amazing, with lots of vegan options. It's a bit pricey, but you get a lot for your money, so it's worth it. My boyfriend and I went there yesterday, and it was really busy. Unfortunately, we hadn't made a reservation since it was a spontaneous decision. At first, we were told they were full and that we could either wait or order takeout. We said we'd really like to eat in. He then went away briefly and was able to offer us a table after all, as other guests were just paying and the table had become available. We were very surprised, as it was really busy, and we thought it wouldn't be possible. Especially since there was already a small queue when we arrived (from people who had made reservations or ordered takeout). Once we were there, it was lovely. The staff, despite how busy it was, were very attentive and friendly. The food arrived quickly, too. I highly recommend it!

Pizzas are a hit in terms of size, taste, and appearance.

Hello We, six women from the Kassel area, visited your restaurant today after the Christmas market. Having seen your flyers distributing "free offers" around town, we were hungry and headed to your restaurant. Incidentally, it wasn't an aggressive distribution, but rather an offer from very kind and friendly people that led us to your restaurant. We were greeted very warmly, professionally, and with utmost courtesy. We were shown to a table without any problems. Delicious food was served to us by very friendly and attentive staff. The pizza, penne, and salad were all excellent. The "free" tiramisu dessert perfectly complemented the delicious meal. A truly wonderful end to the evening. Thank you! Throughout the evening, we repeatedly witnessed how friendly and attentive other restaurant patrons were. As the restaurant became increasingly crowded and there were no more seats available, mulled wine or another beverage was very kindly offered to these people until they could find a seat. Fantastic! Keep up the good work. Such service is rare. We'll be back in the summer to discover Würzburg in a different season and are already looking forward to another stay with you. We spontaneously decided to go there today with six people. Even though all the tables were reserved, we were shown to a table that had been booked later. A fantastic service team spoiled us with incredibly delicious food. Definitely not your average fare. The vouchers for tiramisu and mulled wine were a special treat. We'll gladly come back.

I ate there twice in the last few weeks. The first time, one of our dishes was forgotten and only arrived after everyone else had finished eating. On our second visit, water was dripping from the ceiling onto our table, but the server didn't seem to mind. Also, the tabletop has a light-colored silicone sealant. Unfortunately, both sleeves of my sweater are now covered in silicone. It used to be a really cool restaurant, but now it's just a place where people are forced to eat at their meals.

I ordered pizza for three people to take away. The ordering process is actually quite straightforward: you get a pickup number and an approximate pick-up time – so far, so good. I arrived five minutes early, but my order wasn't ready. No problem. After another 15 minutes, I asked again – the pizzas still weren't ready. After a total of 30 minutes and a second inquiry, they suddenly realized that my order was indeed buried somewhere among the many pizzas. The explanation I received was that the receipts supposedly only have names on them, not pickup numbers. Then I wonder: what's the point of pickup numbers at all? As an "apology," I was told that the pizzas were still warm. Unfortunately, not good customer service.

The food was quite good, the service took a little while, and the dessert was unfortunately a real disappointment.

Great pizzeria right on the Main River with a large terrace on the old city wall, directly behind the old crane. Very pleasant atmosphere, very large and generously topped pizzas, very friendly staff. Elevator at the back door.

Last time at Locanda Würzburg!!! We were really looking forward to a delicious dinner in a great atmosphere, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes before we were shown to a table in an annex. The atmosphere was more like a storage room for parasols than a restaurant. The highlight was the waiter's comment that our time was up, we had 90 minutes, and he wished us a good time. When the 90 minutes were up, we were immediately told that we had to leave (the pizza was already on the table, and we still had half a beer). We tried to finish our beers as quickly as possible. Two minutes later, we were told again that we had to get up NOW because the next group was already outside. When we said that we wouldn't be coming back because this was really not customer-friendly, the waiter said to us, "Then this is probably the wrong restaurant for you." It wasn't just us; the neighboring tables had the same experience. ... This is the wrong restaurant for a relaxed evening without stress and time pressure!

Because the next table only wanted to give one star, because the server wouldn't give us 12 shots, here are 5 stars from us 😉 PS: Pizza and Happy Hour Spritz aren't bad either.

We spontaneously went there around lunchtime. After a few minutes' wait, we were seated at our table. After about 10 minutes, the waitress came to take our drink order. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to order food directly because she said we could only order drinks once they had arrived. After about 20 minutes, she came back and asked what we had ordered to drink, as the celeriac seemed to have disappeared. After another 10 minutes, she came again to ask what we had ordered to eat. When 45 minutes had passed and we still had neither drinks nor food, we asked if the food had started yet. She said no, it hadn't started yet and she could simply cancel it. After almost 50 minutes without drinks or food, we left the restaurant.

The food was very good, but we had to wait a very long time for it (to be fair, it was very busy!) and our drinks were lukewarm. Prices are reasonable (30 cm diameter pizzas start at €13). There's a lovely view of the Main River from the terrace. However, there is one downside: we were sitting in the sun (despite having a parasol). More shaded areas would be welcome (e.g., with larger parasols). Nevertheless, the staff was very friendly, and we would gladly return!

A very good pizzeria, the pizza was excellent!! The price-performance ratio is also good, and the pizza is huge! The service was friendly. The atmosphere is nice too, although it was a bit too warm inside for me.

I ordered a portion for €10 and was finished after three forkfuls.... The pizza is okay though.

We were greeted warmly. The statement, "We won't turn anyone away, there might be four of you at your table," should have been a clear indication of quantity over quality. We were seated in a private booth, a small building in the outdoor area, where we were later crammed together – quite disappointing, especially with no music or anything else. The service, provided by three people, was constantly changing, trying but more chaotic than anything else. The appetizer platter for €20 was completely overpriced, consisting mainly of pickled items. The pizzas were tasty, very generously topped, very large, and strongly reminiscent of Losteria (especially due to the design of the cardboard takeaway boxes). In conclusion: the pizza was okay, all in all, it was fine for a meal, but NOT a restaurant for a nice, relaxed evening with good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

It was our first time there, we booked online, waited a few minutes before we could sit down, had to wait a long time for our drinks, and almost an hour for our two pizzas and two pasta dishes, even though it was practically empty. The food tasted good, the staff was friendly, but it seems you can only eat there if you have a lot of time to spare.

Unfortunately, I couldn't redeem my voucher in Aschaffenburg because the restaurant burned down. After a long wait, they kindly allowed me to redeem it here as a gesture of goodwill. We ordered takeaway. The employee on the phone was very friendly, even though the restaurant was very busy. It was quite noisy in the background. The pizzas are huge and very generously topped. Both pizzas were still piping hot when we picked them up. Highly recommended! 🙂

Don't show up here hungry, and definitely not without a reservation. We had a reservation for 6:00 PM! The wait for drinks was about 20 minutes. Around 6:45 PM, I already had stomach pains from hunger, and when I finally got something to eat, I had stomach cramps. After 50 minutes (6:00-6:50 PM), I ate a protein bar from my purse to stave off the hunger and stomach pains. The first glasses were empty after an hour's wait. The two pasta dishes arrived promptly at 7:00 PM. The remaining pizzas (7 in total) on the table were served one by one and didn't arrive until between 7:05 and 7:23 PM! By then, our friends' and colleagues' pasta plates were almost empty. At 7:30 p.m., I ordered another drink and waited 10 minutes (perfectly reasonable). The wait times are simply outrageous. And this was on a Wednesday evening, outside of school holidays. The chairs at the high table were extremely wobbly and didn't inspire confidence. Furthermore, the high table isn't suitable for eating pizzas of this size, as the plates don't fit properly on the narrow surface. Taste-wise, the pizzas were okay, but apart from the size, nothing exceptional or special. I don't need to go back. The evening wasn't worth more than a 90-cent tip to me. Waiting walk-in customers are also more of a hindrance than a help, both for the staff and the seated guests… Everything is small and more uncomfortable than cozy. Considering the long wait times, the hectic service, and the only average quality, I'd rate this restaurant between 1 and 2 stars. The prices are also exorbitant in my opinion. Because the pizzas can't do anything more than "be big."

We were a large group and sat by the door leading to the terrace. Unfortunately, it was quite drafty there, so we put on our vests and scarves. The restaurant was full and therefore very noisy. The service was okay. Unfortunately, everyone's food arrived at different times, so the first person finished eating when the last person received their meal. Also, the soft drinks were barely carbonated, so they tasted flat. They were replaced after we complained, but unfortunately, the replacement was only slightly better. You should always reserve a table in advance. My meal was good.

I had reserved a table for my girlfriend and me on Friday at 8 p.m. We arrived on time and were seated after a few minutes by a really nice waiter named David. But then an absolute disaster followed: For a full 20 minutes, we were pointedly ignored by two employees (a woman and a man), even though they walked right past us several times to attend to larger groups. No eye contact, no "We'll be with you in a minute," not even a simple "Hello." We were treated as if we were invisible. After 20 minutes of no attention at all, we left the restaurant and went to another, much friendlier restaurant, where we were served immediately. One thing is for sure: I will never visit the Locanda again—not even close. A restaurant that treats guests like that has no claim to loyalty or recommendation.

I had reserved an event at Locanda a month in advance for a group of 20 people, but the experience was deeply disappointing. Despite the early booking, we were made to sit in the outhouse, where the arrangement was poorly managed. Our group was split across separate tables, even though there were several empty tables right next to us. When we asked if we could rearrange the seating so everyone could sit together, the staff refused — yet those same empty tables remained unused the entire evening. There was no music organized, and when we asked about it, we were told the music box was missing or broken. The decor was dull and neglected; some picture frames were broken, and there were even empty pizza boxes left around, which made the space feel messy and unprepared. Food service was slow — dishes arrived for different tables with delays of more than 10 minutes between them. Although the staff were friendly, they were clearly overwhelmed. We had to remind them multiple times just to bring condiments and basic items. Many of my colleagues traveled all the way from Kiel to celebrate a special occasion, and the poor planning and lack of care from management completely ruined what was meant to be a happy evening. If Locanda cannot handle or properly prepare for group reservations, they should simply decline them instead of disappointing guests. Overall: Poorly managed, unprofessional, and not worth considering for any group or event

We were there last Sunday. The food and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the restrooms seem unkempt, which is a shame. They should be checked more often.

One of our guests even got a plate thrown at their head – it turned blue and had to be refrigerated. As an "apology," they only offered a free drink. The servers were unfriendly and overwhelmed. One waiter completely forgot her drink, and her food even arrived before her. Furthermore, the first person to arrive received their food about 40 minutes before the last person – so eating together was impossible. The pizzas were good, but the salads and pasta dishes were really poor in terms of flavor. Overall, unfortunately, this isn't a restaurant we can recommend.

I was visiting a friend yesterday, and we wanted to go out for dinner. He suggested Locanda, so we came here spontaneously. Even though it was completely full on a Saturday night, the nice waitress still managed to get us a table without us having to wait. The entire staff was really friendly and served us very well. The food took a while to arrive, but it was really delicious. The price-performance ratio was absolutely fine for a place like this. I had a Neapolitan pizza with shrimp, onions, feta cheese, arugula, and garlic oil – it tasted great, and there was nothing to complain about. I paid about €22 for the drink and the pizza. The ambiance was really nice, and despite the high noise level, it was easy to have a good conversation. Overall, I had only good experiences yesterday and will definitely come back if I get the chance.

We used to come here almost every weekend and the pizzas were top-notch! The taste, presentation, and quality were all spot on, and the service was really fast and friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant has declined significantly in recent years. Service is inattentive, the products don't seem as fresh anymore, and the cleanliness, especially in the restrooms, leaves a lot to be desired. It's a real shame, because the location is beautiful and actually has that typical Italian flair. Conclusion: Once one of the best Italian restaurants in Würzburg, but today, unfortunately, it's just mediocre.

I ordered a ham pizza and received ham with mushrooms. After I complained, the pizza was taken back, and after a short time, the pizza was served without mushrooms. However, they only removed the mushrooms from the first pizza served. This meant that there were still residual mushrooms on the pizza, and of course, the mushroom flavor was still present. The entire package has nothing to do with customer respect, and you feel ripped off. I do not recommend this place.

Started dinner pretty late and this was one of the few in the area still open. Think I had the Gorgonzola pizza which was interestingly salty and sweet at the same time. Portion wise it was massive! No way a single person could finish one. Had a great experience and nothing to fault. Outdoor area next to the Main river is a fantastic location and on a cool summer evening it was perfect, with a summery drink.

The food was fine, but the service, unfortunately, wasn't. I'd pre-ordered pizza and salad to pick up at a specific time, and when I arrived, they still had to start making them! It was a quiet day, which is a real shame, and so typical of the time.

The food was delicious, but there wasn't enough pasta on the plate. The service, well, everyone was polite and friendly, which was all well and good, but you order a drink and get the wrong one, say it, and then you don't get anything new that you actually wanted. We were there as a group and everyone got different food, so we didn't eat together; by the time one person got something, the other was almost finished eating, which shouldn't be allowed. And the Coke wasn't carbonated. And I didn't know that the starter comes with the main course. That's why I only gave it 2 stars.

We ordered a pizza, but it had all been in the oven for far too long. I couldn't eat more than half because it was too hard. For a 17-euro pizza, I was truly shocked. Except for one waitress, who was really nice, everyone else was inattentive, and on top of that, we had to wait a really long time between ordering drinks and ordering food. Besides that, I walked to our table with my baby, and the waiters, who were holding a tray with empty glasses and wanted to head towards the kitchen, rudely asked me to step aside. (My table was next to the kitchen entrance.) The atmosphere is really great. And there are certainly better pizzas out there, if they aren't almost burnt🧐, but this restaurant was simply overwhelmed, so quality and customer satisfaction are really not the top priority here.

The restaurant is very nice and the food is delicious. However, we had to wait over an hour for three pizzas, and the noise level was extremely loud. It seemed to me that the staff was completely overwhelmed, and you feel like you're being ignored, as they don't even bother to check on you. We sat inside, but there were so many flies...

You have to visit this restaurant if you're in Würzburg. I had the pizza, and I have to say it was VERY large and, of course, delicious!

I've eaten at Locanda twice now – and unfortunately, both times it was a disaster. The location itself is beautiful, but that's the only positive thing about it. Both visits were characterized by long waits – the food even arrived before the drinks. The service staff was completely inflexible, whether it was pushing tables together or meeting the smallest special requests. Example: On the first visit, I asked for a "Black Hugo" (Hugo + blackcurrant juice, both available on the menu). The answer was: not possible. The salad with chicken strips seemed like it came from a vacuum-packed plastic bag from the refrigerated section – cold and dry. On the second visit, I asked for an affogato (espresso + vanilla ice cream – also both on the menu). Again, this was declined. So I simply ordered two espressos and two scoops of ice cream separately – still no flexibility. The absolute highlight, however, was: I found a "pickled bug" in my meal that had probably been souring for a very long time, plus some hair. After I complained and explained that I no longer had an appetite, the waitress took the dish away, but there was no apology or compensation. Instead, the meal was even listed on the bill – absolute audacity!

The service is truly abysmal, as other reviews have already mentioned. You have to ask two or three times if you "may" order another drink. The food arrives more than ten minutes late, even with only two people at the table. The drink order was wrong, but nothing was corrected. The service just seemed chaotic... The food is absolutely fine, though, and despite the crowds, you can still have a decent conversation.

The food was delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was also good. What I didn't like at all were the drinks. I had a Pepsi Zero, and it wasn't carbonated and tasted like syrup with too much water added. It also gave me a pretty bad stomach ache afterward.

The terrace is an amazing spot to chill and eat a good pizza. Peaceful environment. Good quality-price. The only complaint is that the service was too slow for ordering the food and paying.

This restaurant actually has a very nice location overlooking the river and looks quite impressive. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, we were ignored for at least 15-20 minutes, and only after we actively asked did a waitress promise to take care of us right away. She was very friendly, but it was clear that the staff were completely overwhelmed. I ordered the pasta vongole and have to say it was the worst spaghetti with mussels I've ever eaten. It was practically just oil, parsley, chilies, and a few random tagliatelle pasta pieces that shouldn't have been in my spaghetti dish, along with a few sandy mussels (I didn't even get a separate bowl for the shells). Absolutely disappointing. We also had a salad (name omitted) whose leaves were completely soggy, as if they'd been sitting in the sauce for hours. Overall, a very unsatisfying experience.

We had a good experience picking up food. The food is recommended. Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was poor. It wasn't busy, and yet the staff were very stressed and unfriendly. Not recommended if you want to treat yourself. However, it's sufficient for a standard dinner in-house.

Absolutely delicious food. We had the butcher board for two people, which was really hard to finish (and I'm a big eater). The price was reasonable, as you'd expect for a steakhouse. Our waitress was very friendly and competent. She also asked immediately when we were seated whether we'd like water beforehand. That was a huge plus. However, we had to wait a very long time for drinks, even though it didn't seem to be that busy. The garden was quite full, but there were only 4-5 occupied tables inside. The bottle of water we ordered initially took a little over 15 minutes to arrive. The other drinks we ordered took correspondingly longer.

The Locanda enjoys an exceptionally good location directly on the Main River. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. In addition to the generous and delicious starters, the main courses were also consistently impressive. A wonderful experience.

We discovered this place by chance yesterday. From the outside, the look and the huge beer garden simply beckoned us to stop in. It was bustling; we didn't have a reservation, of course, but after a short wait, we were shown to a table with a fantastic view of the Main River. Amazing! As I said, it was very busy, but a friendly waitress came over after a short while and asked us about our drinks, which were brought quickly. The pizzas were also delivered in a reasonable amount of time: huge, crispy, a little light on filling, but absolutely delicious. We will be back; the place is definitely worth a visit.

We've always enjoyed coming here. Today will definitely be our last visit. The staff have always been very friendly. What we experienced today, in contrast, was completely unprofessional. Dear Locanda management, please ensure that you have trained staff in the future. We wanted to show our friends the restaurant and had reserved an outside table. Upon entry, we were very rudely informed that reservations outside weren't possible and that we should read the terms and conditions. This was done, as I said, very rudely and at an absolutely inappropriate volume. In the end, he simply left us standing there and turned to the other people waiting. It was very embarrassing. Of course, we left without anything to eat. Perhaps you should always read the terms and conditions, but we didn't think this was required for a table reservation. It's always worked well without them in other restaurants. They can perhaps afford to treat their guests like this, but is it really in their best interest?!

Terrible service. When picking up orders on time, guests are skillfully ignored. No greeting, no indication that they'll be served soon. After standing around at the bar for 15 minutes, I finally received half-hearted service. No apology. The pizza was already soggy...

The food is good and the location is a dream. Unfortunately, the service wasn't particularly good that evening. Neither the starter nor the main course arrived even remotely at the same time, and there were only two of us. One main course arrived lukewarm. At least they made an effort and were accommodating with the bill.

By the river with view of the castle, which is nice. Staff were wonderfully friendly BUT it took nearly an hour to get our food, when it came my pasta was dry and the margarita pizza was cardboard base, the tomato sauce virtually nonexistent, and edam is not pizza cheese!! Sadly we were very disappointed as had high hopes from other reviews. Again staff were lovely.

Very delicious pizzas, a must-visit in Würzburg

After our third visit, we're unfortunately a bit disappointed. The salad had the wrong ingredient, but was still charged accordingly, with a "I'll tell the kitchen." The pizza was rather bland; in my opinion, the dough lacked salt and the toppings lacked zest. Oh yeah, the salad dressing was more like watered-down yogurt than a dressing. My boyfriend felt the same way.

Unfortunately, eating together isn't possible here! The pasta arrived relatively quickly, and the pizza took a good 20 minutes to arrive... so we had to eat separately, or rather, my companion had ice-cold pasta – this is incomprehensible! Overall, I can't recommend Locanda, even though it tasted really good!

We ate at the Locanda in Würzburg today. The food was truly delicious – we had pasta dishes that came exactly as we ordered. They also catered to our special requests, which we were very pleased with. The ambiance is pleasant, and the seating is comfortable. However, we were a bit disappointed with the service. The staff was generally friendly, but they lacked attentiveness. It took quite a while before we could order, and we also had to wait an unusually long time to pay. In the end, I even went to the bar myself to let them know we wanted to pay. Our waitress signaled that she was coming, but cleared a large table first – which felt a bit unfortunate after the long wait. No one even asked if everything was okay or if we wanted anything else. We would have actually liked to order something else, but unfortunately, that wasn't possible. All in all: The food is excellent, the ambiance pleasant – but we think there's still room for improvement in the service. We would come back because of the cuisine, but with the knowledge that the service is not at the level we are used to from other restaurants.

A total disaster, the food was served cold. There were four of us and we couldn't eat together. Everyone received their food at a different time. The food was either too salty or had too much garlic. The waitress apologized for the kitchen, but couldn't do anything. Please don't go there.

Went there with friends and our kids. We spent a total of 3 hours there. Not because it was that nice, but because the food took so long. After about 1.5 hours we got the first pizza. It was already empty by the time the second person got theirs. It went on like that for almost 3 hours until the last person got their pizza. Really difficult with kids. When we wanted to pay, we were left sitting there for another half hour. It wasn't even that busy that day, which is what you'd expect from the place. It's a shame that it took us almost the whole of Sunday afternoon to eat. The food itself was good, though. Despite that, we won't be going back, as this isn't the first time things have gone so wrong.

Italian pizza and pasta were both very good! The ravioli were handmade and delicious. We had a beautiful seat right on the Main River! In the evenings, it's best to reserve a table in advance!

A very nice outdoor terrace with a view of the Main River and the castle, fast and friendly service, and a huge, delicious pizza. And the espresso was also delicious.

We stopped by in August to try and get some food, but we couldn't get it for two nights in a row. The place was packed, and when you tried to get a table at the door, the staff wouldn't even look you in the eye. After 15 minutes without anyone answering, I left. It's a shame because last year the food wasn't bad.

The large pizza is truly large. Very friendly service and a beautiful view of the fortress from the terrace. Unfortunately, reservations aren't accepted here, but if you ask nicely, you'll get a table.

A very idyllic restaurant with a fantastic view of the Marienberg Fortress. We ordered two pizzas, which, despite the restaurant being quite busy, arrived after a relatively short wait. They were so large they barely fit on our plates, and were very tasty, though unfortunately, the toppings were rather sparse. The waitresses were super friendly and attentive.

Probably the insider tip in Würzburg. We only discovered it while passing by because the smell of pizza hit us. You either have to make a reservation or expect to wait. It's worth the wait. Whether pizza or pasta, it's simply delicious.

The regular pizza is huge, extending 10 cm beyond the plate. If you can't manage that, you can order a second plate for 50 cents. Since the pizza is shared before it's even topped, you can also have it topped with different toppings. The pasta dishes are also great. The Neapolitan pizza is the real highlight, a little more expensive, but worth it.

Pizza, 40 cm big, decent price. Ceasars 🥗 salad was pretty good also. Service was good and quite helpful, also had a table with a great view.

Always busy, a bit loud, service is sometimes difficult, but always delicious!

Absolutely terrible experience, I would never go there again for a full day. There were four of us there; two of our dishes arrived after 15 minutes, the others after 50 minutes. As an apology, we were offered a coffee, which took another 20 minutes to arrive. We were there for a total of 2.5 hours. Unfortunately, the food wasn't impressive; their pizzas were okay, while my pasta lacked flavor. I wouldn't have been able to finish it without adding my own seasoning.

A visit after which you decide you'll never come back... I ordered bruschetta as my main course, the others pizza and pasta. Mine came first, along with my drink and food. The others had to wait another 10 minutes for their drinks, and shortly after, the pizza arrived. Of course, we started because we thought the pasta would arrive soon. Well, we waited at least another 50 minutes for the pasta dishes to arrive. When we asked where they were, they said the food was prepared at different stations and therefore took different amounts of time. Many others felt the same way. If the food took so long, they should at least vote on it at the table. Regarding the taste of the pasta with tomato sauce and shrimp, "it didn't taste like anything."

Not so polite waiters at the entrance and during the meal. The wait was far too long, even when paying. The pizza with Prosciutto di Parma was burnt, and the ham was far too greasy (I had to remove the fat myself). Two stars because it was my second visit—the first was actually good.

We ate here as a family with two children. The adults got their pizzas quite quickly and ate them right away, assuming the children would be served theirs right away. Unfortunately, our children still hadn't received their pizzas after 20 minutes. In the end, we had to eat separately, which is absolutely unacceptable for us as a family. It's a shame, as we were looking forward to eating together.

Good pizza, good beer, vegetarian and vegan options, and a fantastic view (be sure to sit outside if the weather is nice). A well-rounded experience.
