The staff didn't have the best day during our visit and seemed to be in a bad mood. I don't understand the big pizzas and too small plates, is there a concept behind it? This made the pizza not so pleasant to eat, so I would have liked either larger plates or some kind of support, then the eating experience would have been better. The taste of the pizza was okay, but rather average. The location is nice, but the indoor area is not recommended when the outside temperature is over 30 degrees.

The quality is getting worse! When I in Würzburg, I ordered here’s pizza all the time. At first it’s way too big for the price, then alright. Now I’m not full at all after eating while the pizza . The toppings are so less too. Disappointed! Why I spend almost 20 euro on it ?

Sorry, it may be a good restaurant but you still have a lot to learn with reservations. I called on Sunday to make a reservation for 10-15 people. I was told on the phone that they still have plenty of space for the date xx but I had to go to one of these If you have a large group, submit the reservation using the contact form and I will receive a response within 48 hours. After 4 days I called again and after getting no answer I was told that everything was full and they had no more space and the person who said to me on Sunday that there was still a lot of free space had no eyes in his head. Sorry with so much incompetence, the locanda is history for me.

The Locanda in Würzburg is conveniently located directly on the Main and, with its expansive, elevated outdoor terrace, offers a nice place to linger, which is also suitable for larger groups. When we visited, the terrace was already quite full, so it understandably took some time. Nevertheless, with a long and relaxed wait, it was a bit difficult to communicate with the service. We then split up into two tables and ordered at different times. Unfortunately, this meant that one table had already finished eating before the other had even received their first dishes. In general it seemed a bit disorganized. I can't say whether it was because there weren't enough service staff for the number of guests or whether it was due to the organization and table allocation. Some of the food was delicious. I had Melanzana pasta, unfortunately the same dish at another table wasn't as good because the pasta was very overcooked. The pizza was, as I was told, OK, but not entirely convincing. The vegan pizza in particular was unfortunately not entirely successful in terms of presentation and the vegan cheese selection. Very tasty food. Unfortunately the service was really not good. We wanted to order drinks and food at the same time, so after the drinks we were told that he would come back to order the food as he also had other things to do. That was really very special. Unfortunately, the toilets were so filthy on a Saturday afternoon that you could hardly get in the door while four staff were sitting at the counter inside and chatting. It's a real shame because the food was great. Unfortunately, everything around it was no longer right for me. There were three of us. The salad came over half an hour before the other two main courses, which was also very unpleasant.

The pasta dishes were suddenly charged for more than what was on the menu. The service wasn't good either. The main waiter with the earring was very unfriendly and asked to do everything three times. We waited probably 15 minutes after we told him we would like to pay. Unfortunately the starter came after I had finished the main course. The food was okay.

Pathetic . They hire me in kitchen dept as a mini job contract. I worked for 10 hours but not log in because of new I don’t know . I inform head of kitchen department he said okay no issue . Then never call me I understand because of mini job their first priority is full time and part time worker then if get chance they call . When I asked for salary of 8 hours . Chef didn’t respond call and text . Simply ignored . When I asked my manager he told me you are dealing with wrong guy and because you don’t log in in system it’s not possible to give money so forget about 10 hours salary .

Like 2 years ago, my wife and I wanted to eat something there. I ordered Spaghetti Aglio Olio, my wife ordered a pizza with extra onions. When I had eaten my spaghetti (but in my opinion it had been in the water for at least 4 minutes too long...), my wife still didn't have any pizza. When asked, the waiter said there were 2 different areas... We then had the pizza packed up and cleared the table... There was a lot going on on this beautiful afternoon, but I can't quite understand it... ..

We didn't realize the pizzas were so huge. Locals usually order half pizzas which is completely sufficient. Tastes very good. The topping still seems lost on the pizza. Service was great. The location is the reason for a visit. If you want a lot of dough with little topping, this is the place for you.

After a wonderful boat trip on the Main from Würzburg to Veitshöchheim and back, four of us went to the Pizzeria Locanda last Thursday for a late lunch (around 3:00 p.m.). We ordered two pizza breads and three salads (€14.90 €15.90 x2/ each with turkey breast) and a salad bowl with avocado and halloumi €21.50 from a friendly waiter After about 20 minutes, another waitress served the two pizza breads, which were still warm. After another 15 minutes, we asked both employees about the missing three salads and the bowl. After another 10 minutes we were informed by the waiter that our order receipt was lost. After another wait we were finally brought two salads. The waiter justified the further delay by changing the frying fat. After 4:00 p.m. all the salads and the bowl were served. Unfortunately, the two pizza breads that were served were already cold. When we ate the two salads and the bowl, we noticed that unfortunately all the avocados were missing. We reported this to the waiter. His manager then came to the table. After a few unfriendly words from the manager, the missing avocados were served to us separately. Unfortunately, we received no compensation from the restaurant for what was hopefully a unique experience. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant.

I'm super disappointed. The right doesn't know what the left is saying. Despite waiting and asking repeatedly, we couldn't get a seat. The bad thing though!!! Half of the tables were free!!! Conclusion: completely incompetent! Just sad but true

Were visiting there for the third time now. Service was good considering the large crowd. The ambience is simply very nice outside on the terrace with the sunset and the Würzburg in the background. Unfortunately the pizza was a bit dry and not as usual on previous visits. Price performance is great, the tiramisu was definitely delicious.

Unfortunately I didn't eat at your place or anything like that. But I had to pee really badly, I really had to pee, unfortunately they were closed that's why the three stars... I think it's a real shame that they denied me the right to pee...

I ordered a margherita pizza, but it was too salty. There was a lot of food, but it was so salty that it was difficult to eat. The beer tastes okay. I ate indoors, but there was no air conditioning or a fan, so I ate sweating profusely. It's too hot inside the store.

I even suspect the best pizza in Europe 😊😜. No matter how many times I've tried Gorgonzola or quattro formaggi pizza in Italy, Croatia or other European countries, the pizza in Locanda couldn't be compared. This is still the best Gorgonzola pizza I have ever eaten.

The location directly with the terrace on the banks of the Main is very nice. Unfortunately overall it was mixed due to the poor service and the food wasn't great either. In particular, it all just takes far too long and we were apparently lucky because we only ordered pizza. Neighboring tables that had ordered pasta sometimes waited even longer. The pizza didn't change the impression either. Unfortunately, Edam cheese on a Margherita pizza is not that great. I also don't understand why an alcohol-free wheat is €1 more expensive than a normal wheat.

We had dinner there on Saturday evening. We were greeted in front of the restaurant and put on a waiting list because all the seats were full at that point. After about 20 minutes of waiting we were brought to our table. While you wait, you have the opportunity to get an aperitif from a bartender at a small bar. The size of the pizzas is probably best described as gigantic. The pizza tasted excellent, the toppings were also appropriate and the price was absolutely right, especially considering the size of the pizzas.

Having just come back from vacation and still having things set up in the new apartment, we decided to eat here. It was already after 9 p.m., so we were grateful to have something to eat. The table had probably just become free, but unfortunately the cutlery was still there from the previous person and was dirty. We then ordered Bruschetta and Tonno + Speciale. The nice young lady asked us if the kitchen could send both at the same time since the kitchen was about to close, which was completely fine with us. When the food came, I was happy about the pizza. She was very big and I was very hungry. Unfortunately, the onion was missing from my pizza, which I would have told the service if we had been asked if everything was okay with us. But since we were very hungry, we still ate and enjoyed what we had. Since there were a few things to complain about, I unfortunately had to deduct something from the rating, but it was probably due to the time. If we stop by again, it will be at an earlier time and we can then rate it again. But otherwise the store was cool, lively and the service was friendly and quick.

Choosing a seat is difficult, first no one serves you, then you are told you can sit where it is not reserved and then you are not served and then suddenly someone is responsible for allocating the seat who wasn't there before. Afterwards we get a seat, but pasta probably takes 25 minutes +, the waitress doesn't care. They don't want to sell anything here. No more

We're coming, it's time to sit down wherever you want and it's not reserved! When we did that, we weren't served for at least 15 minutes. When we asked, they said we were sitting outside the area. Not visible to us in any white way. After more than 20 minutes we were seated after the 3rd request! When we ordered, we were told that the pasta would take at least 25-35 minutes. So we can only order appetizer or pizza since we missed the train! If we hadn't wasted the first 20 minutes of placement by making false statements, we could easily eat and drink without any time pressure. This was not possible!

Well, to be honest, I rarely write bad reviews. We arrived, we were told to sit wherever we wanted. So we sat down and no sign said “reserved”. We were then not served for 20 minutes. When we asked, we were told to line up again and wait until we were assigned a seat. We waited, waited for the designated place. Then they said the pasta would take over half an hour. In other words, waited half an hour for nothing. Then it just seemed like she didn't feel like it. To use. So no desire to sell anything. Then we just drank something and went. I have never experienced such poor service. Terrible. Thank you for nothing. In the truest sense of the word.

I don't advise you to visit this place. They ordered pasta, brought pasta with cheese. Last time they brought pizza with mushrooms instead of prosciuto. It may take about 15 minutes for the table to not fit.

Not recommended. The pizza is huge but of poor quality. My dough was borderline underdone. I was offered a replacement pizza, but I didn't want to wait that long again. The Frizzante wine was warm and had to be chilled with ice cubes, so it turned out to be more of a wine spritzer. The restaurant is very large and loud and the service is therefore stressed. Food tastes very good. Service a total failure. We waited 15 minutes for an empty glass for the water bottle we ordered. Most of the table had already finished eating by the time the last two received their salad. The starters came after the main course. The internal process is simply not right here and the service is disorganized.

Has seen better days, pizza burnt a bit, edge and base very dry. Maybe someone new in the team or something, but definitely no recommendation soon, I hope someone tries it and gets better again 😅

We had dinner here with 7 girls on August 15, 2024. We were shown to the place by a super nice gentleman. The waitress (gentlemen with curly hair, tall, loose jeans) who was apparently responsible for us had taken orders from all the tables around us except ours. After we pointed out to him that we wanted to order, he came. The starters were randomly distributed and not together. The drinks came after we had already finished eating. There was also no question as to whether the food was good. Our empty plates and glasses were not cleared away. After we called the gentleman over, we finally paid. That was a complete disaster. Since we all paid separately, we had to calculate our final amount ourselves using our calculator on our cell phone. There was also no thank you via tip. After we paid, we pointed out that he should please clear all the plates. Only 3 were cleared, the rest remained standing. The ambience and the food were really great. But in our opinion our waitress, the gentleman described above, was not suitable for this job. Very unfortunate!!!

For the birthday of an 87 old lady, despite the full terrace, a heartfelt wish was fulfilled to sit in the restaurant and see the Main. Simply spontaneously human and very warm. Despite the stress, friendly and charming service. A big thank you 😊

We waited 2 hours for our starter… Simply without words. You could have told us at the beginning that we would have to wait longer for the food. So we would have chosen something else.

Bad service, bad food - the three of us wanted to eat here together and ordered a salad, a pizza and a pasta at the same time. The salad came after 10 minutes, the pizza after 45 and the pasta after an hour, so the salad was completely soggy and no longer edible. Pizza (oversalted) and pasta (tasted like nothing) were inedible from the start. The only good thing is the great view of the Main and the vineyards.

We ordered two pizzas by phone at 7:30 p.m. and were a little surprised at the 40-minute wait. What was positive, however, was that the pizzas were actually ready at the stated pick-up time. The pizzas are very large, I personally don't see any size information on the homepage because then the price seems more justified. We enjoyed the pizzas, but there could have been more toppings for the size/price.

We ate at the Locanda today because we've often heard that it's so great and tasty. But unfortunately we were disappointed 😕 We sat alone at the table for 25 minutes until someone finally came, even though we had asked twice when someone would come. We always got the answer that the colleague would be informed. After we finally ordered (tuna salad with pizza bread and pulled pork pizza), the first thing that came was the salad... then nothing for ages! After repeated questions, the rest came. The salad was then eaten. The pizza bread was very dry and hard. The pizza and salad were quite ok. Overall we were very disappointed.

I was your guest today (8/6/24). My companions received a very large and round pizza. I, on the other hand, received more of a Pinsa. I ordered a Neapolitan pizza in the upper price range. When I asked why my pizza wasn't round, I was told that there was a new chef and he had now made a shape like that. Unfortunately, in terms of size, it wasn't up to standard at all and was much smaller than the usual pizzas. The pizza itself was tasty, but I would have liked the standard shape and size because, as mentioned above, the pizza wasn't exactly cheap.

Sure, there's a lot going on on Saturday evening, but waiting 1.5-2 hours for a pizza that is simply below average is too long in my opinion. Sure, the size is impressive at first, but I've rarely eaten such a dry pizza and I left the edge alone. After half a pizza, I got so sick of it that I left the rest behind. The waitresses were friendly, but for me it's just heartless mass processing. Nothing I need again.

First of all the antipasti was served together with main course which we explicitly asked to be served separately. Whilst eating we found out there was the bad kind of mould on the cheese of the antipasti platter 🤢. We had already eaten bits of it before finding out. My wife understandingly completely lost appetite of the pasta gorgonzola she was eating. They handled it very poorly. First offering to take the antipasti and gorgonzola off the bill but then presenting us with the whole bill. Then we asked again for the manager who took ages to appear. Then wanting to only remove 50% of the item. After stating this was a health hazard, he grudgingly removed the item. They should have been more understanding in this situation. It was a disgrace, and we were really disappointed by the bad mood of the manager who just ran off after us paying for a bad meal.

The Restaurant is Well located with a nice View on the Main Service is also good and fast, but the Pizza is lower than medium rate in my opinion, we tried 3 Times 3 différent pizzas the size is big but the garniture and the taste are not that good (a Pizza that you Can eat when you are super hungry Not when you are searching for a tasty Pizza)

Was at the Locanda with my wife on Saturday evening July 20th, thought we would have something to eat here, we were there a few months ago and it really wasn't bad. But this time it really hit me/us... There was a huge queue that had to wait at the front, and so did we, and we were able to get a table in about half an hour, my colleague wrote it down. But here's the first, how can it be that so many people are waiting there, and a colleague only leads people to a table every 15 minutes? Is that called service? In addition, everyone sees that there are always free tables there, is this how you treat customers??? Anyway, get a seat after waiting for a while… Then waiting again until someone came and pizza with drinks came, it took a total of 30-60 minutes. Definitely. I've never experienced such poor and incompetent service before, I almost lost my appetite before, but I thought okay, it looked delicious and I was really hungry... The pizza that came then came with shrimps, also disappointing, although it was large, unfortunately the edges were burnt and the inside was too soft, almost raw... halfway through I didn't want any more, paid quickly (of course without a tip for this no-fuck service), ran out in the evening and will definitely never come back!!! I'm really wondering what happened there with you, but I can advise anyone not to go there with such service alone, if you can even call it that, in any other store or store you would throw everyone out and hire competent people! !! We ordered pizza to take away. Staff was friendly and the location is really nice, after 35 minutes we were able to take her with us. Unfortunately the pizza was absolutely bad. I've never had such a bad margarita from a pizzeria. Hardly any tomato sauce, bad/dry cheese and a border up to 5 cm wide and black. After cycling 100km you might think that you would snack on a pizza like this in no time, but the thing was inedible.

The Locanda in Würzburg is an Italian restaurant with excellent huge pizzas. The beer was delicious and cold and the combination with the pizza was gigantic. The restaurant is located directly on the Main, and from the outdoor terrace you have a great view of the Main and the castles. The outdoor area is really huge, with hundreds of seats. Food great, beer great, atmosphere great, service very friendly. The only point of criticism. It was incredibly busy and the service staff were overwhelmed by the number of visitors, and waiting times for service were correspondingly long.

Very tasty pizza and nice atmosphere right on the Main. Clear recommendation for the large pizza. You can either eat on site or take the pizza with you and eat in peace and quiet in a shady spot on the Main.

Unfortunately, there was an incredibly long wait first for a table until you were assigned one and then for the waitress until you could finally order.

A nice restaurant on the river with a great view and food, but the service was marginal for us. For a table for two you had to wait half an hour on Monday evenings, then another 20 minutes for service, which could never be called. But the food was tasty and inexpensive.
