NIE WIEDER DEN LADEN Haben uns kurz am Tisch gesetzt..aber entschlossen doch wo anders zu essen..dadurch wurde einer von Personal Sehr aggressiv und Handgreiflich mir gegenüber ..schade das ich nicht Polizei dazu geholt habe..als ich nach dem Chef gefragt habe..meinte er..er wäre der Chef und wurde erneut aggressiv..frech und Handgreiflich..so wie manche anderen Leute hier geschrieben haben..Du wirst hier ganz schlecht behandelt..Am liebsten würde ich Minuspunkte geben und dazu Strafanzeige wegen Beleidigung und Körperverletzung machen NIE WIEDER DEN LADEN

Das Essen war so schlecht,dass ich 0 Sterne geben würde,wenn es gehen würde.Die Tintenfischringe waren ekelig.Die Pommes Stein hart.Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.

Bester Laden für eine Darmsanierung. Kurz nach dem Essen fühlt man sich kurz schlecht, dann wird die Nougatschleuse zerberstet, aber danach ist man von innen klinisch rein. Ich kann die 0 kcal Nudeln empfehlen 🤣

Wir waren mit mehreren Leuten da. Gesamtrechnung 196 €. Als wir auf 200 € aufrunden wollten, sagte der Kellner die vier Euro Trinkgeld können wir behalten das wäre für ihn eine Beleidigung. Unterste Schublade so ein Verhalten nie wieder dieser Laden

Gutes Bier und sehr gute Pizza. Die Kellner sprechen, je nachdem, wer einen bedient, mehr oder weniger fließend Englisch. Trotzdem war alles gut und lecker. Der Preis ist für die schöne Aussicht und die Nähe zum Rhein angemessen.

Zu Teuer, kleine Portion, kein Geschmack. Das Essen war fade. Personal war ok aber es kam keiner zum Abkassieren oder fragen ob man noch was möchten.

Das Essen, vor allem die Pommes, war wohl TK Wahre und über die Massen tot frittiert. Der Service und die Aussicht auf den Rhein ware Recht gut

Die Bedienung (vom Auftreten könnte es sogar der Chef gewesen sein, weiß ich aber nicht), war heute sehr unfreundlich zu uns. Den anderen Rezensionen nach, sind wir aber nicht die einzigen. Wir haben dann letztlich nicht dort bestellt und sind in die Nachbarschaft, wo,wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und bedient worden. Eine schöne Lage des Restaurants ist nicht alles.

Das Essen war gut, der Preis passt auch. Nur der lange Kellner der die Brille unten auf der Nase trägt geht gar nicht, selten so etwas unfreundliches und ungeduldiges gesehen.

Am liebsten würde ich diesem Etablissement Minuspunkte verleihen!!!! Unser Besuch mit einer Gruppe von 12 Personen war eine durchweg enttäuschende Erfahrung und wirkte offen fremdenfeindlich. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir von der Bedienung in einem unangemessen schroffen und respektlosen Ton empfangen. Unsere völlig legitime Bitte, zwei Tische zusammenzustellen, wurde nicht nur abgelehnt, sondern in einer Art und Weise kommentiert, die an Herablassung kaum zu überbieten war. Die Bemerkung „Verstehst du?“ war dabei besonders entwürdigend und lässt tief blicken, wie hier mit Gästen umgegangen wird. Da wir uns untereinander in einer anderen Sprache unterhielten, entstand sehr schnell der Eindruck, dass wir allein deshalb anders und deutlich schlechter behandelt wurden. Das Verhalten der Mitarbeiterin ließ nicht nur mangelnde Professionalität erkennen, sondern vermittelte den Eindruck einer klaren Voreingenommenheit gegenüber Gästen mit anderem sprachlichen oder kulturellen Hintergrund. In einem internationalen und vielfältigen Umfeld ist ein solches Auftreten schlicht untragbar. Besonders erschütternd war, dass sich die Bedienung anschließend bei anderen Gästen über uns ausließ. Dieses Verhalten ist nicht nur unprofessionell, sondern auch respektlos und grenzt an öffentliche Bloßstellung. Wir haben uns zu keinem Zeitpunkt willkommen gefühlt – im Gegenteil: Der Umgangston und das Verhalten hinterließen den Eindruck, als seien wir unerwünscht. Wer Wert auf respektvollen Service und einen diskriminierungsfreien Umgang legt, sollte diesen Ort unbedingt meiden.

Das Essen war nicht gut, die Sitzgelegenheiten waren okay. Das Wasser war ungenießbar, ich musste mit dem Kellner streiten, bis er mir mein Essen einpacken ließ. Mein Sohn wollte gar nichts essen, und außerdem berechneten sie uns 9 Euro für „verschiedene Gerichte“, was mir erst nach dem Verlassen des Restaurants auffiel. Unser Kellner war ein älterer Herr mit Brille; er war unhöflich, was auch immer ihn an dem Tag verärgert hatte.

Einen wunderschönen Tag in Köln verbracht und wollten an der Uferpromenade noch mit schönen Ausblick etwas trinken. Hier wurde gleich aufmerksam auf sich gemacht und ein Tisch wurde uns angeboten, den wir dankend annahmen. Sehr schöner Schattenplatz mit schöner Aussicht, das war es dann aber leider auch schon 😐 uns wurde schnell verständlich gemacht das wir hier auch was zu Essen bestellen müssten das ein sitzen bleiben überhaupt möglich war - dies wird klar kommuniziert aber man könnte dies schon "freundlicher" an die Person bringen. Wir entschlossen uns zu bleiben und dachten dann essen wir noch eine Kleinigkeit dazu. Zu den Getränken - wir bestellten Hugo der nichts mit einem Hugo zu tun hatte und einen Sarti Spritz der keinerlei Spritz enthielt und einfach nur zu stark war. Hier dachten wir dann schon, wenn die Getränke schon so …… sind - was würde uns dann beim Essen erst erwarten 🙈!? Und ja so kam es dann auch, wenn ein italienisches Restaurant nicht mal ein Bruscetta hinbekommt dann sagt das schon einiges. Das Brot war absolut lapprig, die Tomaten nicht besonders schmackhaft, da half nicht mal das nachwürzen was. Ich kann über andere Essen geschmacklich nicht Urteilen aber besonders schmackhaft sahen die gereichten Speisen an den Nachbartischen nicht aus. Das positivste war wirklich die schnelle Bedienung aber das war es dann auch schon. Schade um die schöne Location 🌞🌞🌞 Ps: Anscheinend ist es hier auch lieber gesehen Bar zu zahlen, denn als wir mit Karte zahlen wollten sagte der Gesichtsausdruck der Servicekraft so einiges aus 😐

Wird der Endpreis etwa um ein Trinkgeld erhöht? Ich dachte, Gäste könnten selbst entscheiden, wie viel Trinkgeld sie geben möchten? Seit wann ist es denn üblich, dass Trinkgeld obligatorisch ist oder der Kellner es einfach selbst hinzurechnet? Kommt mir vor wie Abzocke. Hatte zwei Biere und zwei Cocktails…

Sehr schlechter, unfreundlicher und unhöflicher Service. Fliegen schwirrten um die Teller, schwarze Kügelchen im Parmesan. Unhygienisch. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Wir hatten ein Steak, Penne 4 Formaggi und Bruschetta bestellt. Das Steak hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Es war komplett mit Sauce überdeckt, sodass man das Fleisch kaum sehen oder richtig beurteilen konnte. Die Penne 4 Formaggi waren eine sehr kleine Portion, dafür aber mit 17 Euro völlig überteuert. Die Bruschetta war ebenfalls enttäuschend: Das Brot war durchnässt und die Tomaten nicht frisch. Auch der Aperol Spritz war schlecht – er schmeckte, als wäre kaum oder gar kein Alkohol enthalten. Insgesamt stehen Qualität, Geschmack und Service in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis. Ich kann dieses Restaurant definitiv nicht empfehlen.

Unser Kellner war sehr respektlos, wir sind hingekommen um ein bier am Rhein zu genießen. Als wir bestellen wollten hat unser Kellner uns ignoriert, als er uns endlich gemerkt hat hat er gefragt ob wir trinken oder essen wollen. Wir haben gesagt nur trinken, wo zu er sehr laut gestöhnt hat und seine Augen gerollt. Er hat dann die ganze zeit gesagt das es „Essens zeit“ ist und unser Menü weggenommen hat und auf den Tisch daneben sehr aggressiv geschlagen hat, wodurch wir uns sehr unwillkommen gefühlt haben. Wir haben gefragt ob wir gehen sollten weil es uns unangenehm war, wozu er sich wiederholt hat. Insgesamt hat uns dieses Erlebnis mit dem Kellner sehr verstört. Wenn ihr schön ein bier am Rhein mit freunden trinken wollt, ist das nicht der passende Ort.

Tolle Lage direkt am Wasser, köstliches Essen, erstklassiger Service. Wir hatten Bruschetta als Vorspeise und Hüftsteak als Hauptgang. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Wir konnten nur bar bezahlen. Ansonsten absolut empfehlenswert.

Waren dort zum Essen - Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat. Der Salat kam mir leider nicht frisch vor und die Schnitzel waren so 08/15 Schnitzel. Der Service war aber sehr nett. Gebt lieber ein paar Euros mehr aus weil für das was geboten wird sind sie doch recht teuer.

Leider enttäuschend. Pizza leicht kalt. Sollte Spinat mit Knoblauch sein. Knoblauch war definitiv keiner drauf und der Geschmack leicht fischig.Nach Reklamation war alles in Ordnung samt reichlich Knoblauch. Schade, dass man es nicht direkt so serviert bekommt. Wenn man mehr als ein Getränk haben möchte.. Pech gehabt. An einen Kellner kommst du nicht mehr ran! Möchte man bezahlen wird man ignoriert und muss sich öfter laut bemerkbar machen. Die Bedienung kommt dann auch und baut sich bedrohlich vor dir auf und pampt dich an wie du es dir erdreisten kannst 3 mal in 10 Sekunden nach ihm zu rufen. Also insgesamt ein enttäuschender Besuch. Einmal und nie wieder.

Spinatpizza schmeckte nach Fisch, sie war halb roh und kalt. Angeblich verstand der Kellner uns nicht, es wurde dann jedoch eine neue Pizza gebracht. Die Lasagne schmeckte säuerlich nach Essig, die Portion war sehr sehr klein, nach erfolgter Frage, ob es nur eine halbe Portion sei, war die neu gebrachte nicht größer, nur plattgedrückt. Man nahm uns nicht ernst. Man kann dort verdursten, die Kellner reagieren nicht. Wir wollten zahlen, man ruft den Kellner, auch hier wird nicht reagiert. Man ruft erneut den Kellner, da kommt er wütend an den Tisch und man wird als Kunde beschimpft. Sowas ist uns noch nie zuvor passiert. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert!!!

Ich war vor kurzem im Restaurant Mama Leone und leider sehr enttäuscht vom Service. Der ältere Kellner hat uns bereits beim Empfang sehr unhöflich behandelt, sodass wir uns von Anfang an nicht willkommen gefühlt haben. Seine Art war respektlos und unangenehm – so etwas habe ich wirklich noch nie erlebt. Zudem wurde uns gesagt, dass man nur bar zahlen kann. Als ich kurz auf der Toilette war und zurückkam, habe ich gesehen, dass ein EC-Gerät vorhanden ist. Als ich daraufhin mit Karte zahlen wollte, reagierte der Kellner sehr negativ. Eine Rechnung wollte er zunächst auch nicht ausstellen – erst nachdem ich darauf bestanden habe. So ein Verhalten geht gar nicht. Freundlichkeit und Transparenz sollten in der Gastronomie selbstverständlich sein. Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Am besten macht man einen großen Bogen um dieses Restaurant und geht gar nicht erst hinein. Sehr schade, denn die Lage ist eigentlich gut – aber mit solchem Personal verliert man schnell die Lust, wiederzukommen.

Ich war mittlerweile schon mehrfach in diesem Restaurant und bin jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Das Essen ist hervorragend, der Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Klare Empfehlung!

Hmmmm… Essen war jetzt ne so geil.. Pizza eher wie ne tk Variante und Nudeln waren ging so .. wenigstens gabs Parmesan dazu.. naja wohl eher nur son Hartkäse aus der Tüte -.- Kellner wirkt eher so als hätte er nicht so Bock auf sein Job.. würden die Preise wenigstens dazu passen wärs ok aber dafür echt zu teuer mmn.. diesmal hat’s Vicky echt ne Gefallen sie findets mau hier da gehen wa nicht noch Ma hin!

Die wiederlichste Pizza, die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Nach dem Essen ging es uns stundenlang schlecht.

Ein Stadtbummel als Tourist macht definitiv hungrig. Nach dem Erkunden der Sehenswürdigkeiten kehrten wir in einem gemütlichen kleinen Lokal namens Mama Leone ein, um uns mit einer leckeren Kleinigkeit zu stärken. Die warme Atmosphäre und das schmackhafte Essen machten es zum perfekten Ort, um zu entspannen und neue Energie zu tanken, bevor wir unser Abenteuer fortsetzten.

Die Bedienung mit Pony und langen Haaren und Kopf ist sehr unfreundlich und antwortet passiv aggressiv auf ganz normale Fragen. sonst auch sehr überteuert

Ich habe heute dort gegessen. Das Restaurant war sehr ruhig. Das Essen war gut, aber die Lage war etwas kühl. Die Preise sind im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants hoch.

Gäste werden gezwungen 1 Euro für die Toilette zu bezahlen. "Es ist Karneval", war die Begründung. Essen war okay, aber zu wenig.

Tolles Restaurant! Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Küche wie zu Hause – frisch, herzhaft und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm und gemütlich. Der Service war hervorragend – der Kellner war einfach top, sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Sowohl das Essen als auch die Getränke wurden schnell serviert. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Das Personal war kurz angebunden, und ein Freund hatte ein Radler bestellt, das buchstäblich mit Wasser gefüllt war.

Was für ein unglaublich unhöflicher Service! Während ich bestellte, wies er mich darauf hin, dass ich Trinkgeld geben müsse. Als ich kurz lachte, drehte er sich um, um mir die Bestellung zu bringen. Als er zurückkam, warf er mir den Teller zusammen mit der Bestellung fast vor die Füße. Nachdem ich bezahlt und ihm Trinkgeld gegeben hatte, funkelte er mich wütend an und sagte: „Haben Sie nicht verstanden, was ich vorhin über das Trinkgeld gesagt habe?“ Was für ein Laden! Da gehe ich nie wieder hin.

Wir waren bei Mama Leone und sind absolut begeistert! Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service, bei dem man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre rundet das Erlebnis perfekt ab. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können Mama Leone wärmstens empfehlen!

War sehr leer, zum Glück..!! Essen kam leider getrennt in 2-3min Abstand, war aber ganz lecker und preislich ganz attraktiv !!! Der Kellner hatte wohl keinen guten Tag, wirkte etwas grummelig. Gab auch nur Pepsi, keine Cola :(

We came to visit the Christmas market, but decided to have our meal at a restaurant and randomly chose Mama Leone. Calm, lovely setting. We were served by a very kind waitress who, even though we don't speak a word of German (sorry!), was very patient. The pizza was excellent, with a thin crust and generous toppings, and the pasta carbonara with tomato and mozzarella was very fresh—and that's coming from a professional chef! We happily recommend it. Best wishes and Merry Christmas to the team! By the way, some people online say they do accept credit cards!

Yesterday, December 22, 2025, around 7:00 PM, five of us were at this restaurant to order food and drinks. Unfortunately, the service was an absolute disaster. From the very beginning, the waiter was extremely unfriendly and disrespectful. While we were in the middle of ordering, he simply walked away without a word. When my mother subsequently asked what drink she had ordered, the waiter reacted with annoyance and condescension. In addition, my aunt, who lives abroad and doesn't speak German, was with us. We had to translate, and the waiter clearly showed no patience or understanding for this either, which made the situation even more unpleasant. Such behavior is unprofessional, disrespectful, and absolutely unacceptable, especially towards guests and elderly people. I sincerely hope that management reads this review, investigates the incident internally, and takes appropriate action. Such behavior damages the entire establishment. I would also be happy to come back and personally identify the man for the manager. The other employees definitely noticed it too, as I became loud, and they can also say who the man was.

Yesterday around 7:30 pm, we wanted to eat at Mama Leone's, but left after just a few minutes. The reason: an extremely unfriendly and disrespectful waiter who laughed at my mother-in-law and answered everyone rudely. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable. We didn't even get to eat; with his insolence, it wouldn't have tasted good anyway. This waiter should be removed from the service immediately. Never again!

We had reserved a table and even called ahead to let them know we'd be a little late. On the phone, we were told politely that this wouldn't be a problem at all. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the restaurant, there was no sign of that. The waiter was extremely unfriendly, and the service overall was absolutely abysmal. We were only informed once we arrived that the kitchen was already closed – something they could and should have easily told us on the phone. This is definitely not how you treat guests. It's certainly not how you win customers. For us, this was our first and last visit. I will not be recommending this restaurant.

Didn't hang around long to try the food, as had to cancel our order and leave on account of terrible service from the older man in grey jumper. I asked to order drinks and he barked 'is coming' so I replied 'no, a drink please' and he shouted 'is coming', which I thought referred to our food we had ordered. In the end he shouted 'I told you four times, is coming.' I have NEVER experienced such awful service to the point he made me cry. Avoid at all costs.

We spontaneously stopped in after the Christmas market and were pleasantly surprised. Delicious pizza at fair prices. We'll definitely be back.

The Norwegian salmon was a touch overcooked, but still very tasty. However, it was up against the legendary fish stall in Finland... so still very good. A little melted butter as a topping would be the icing on the cake. The space was a bit tight for six broad-shouldered men, hence not a perfect score. But I'd gladly come again.

The food was ok. The service was great until the end when we we mandated to leave a tip. The waitress bumped the reader to my phone for Google pay. And to ur surprise a very hefty tip was included. I was planning on tipping, but I want to decide how much. When we asked about this the waitress said tips are mandatory and included then suddenly lost her ability to speak English. In the end after much discussion we got our overcharge back. But what a way to ruin a dinner. And by the way, tipping is customary in Germany, never mandated and decided by the waitress. Read other reviews and you'll see the same thing happening at this tourist trap restaurant.

Nice and cozy restaurant where you can enjoy good pizza accompanied by delicious German beer. Good service and reasonable prices. Recommended.

We were there last Sunday, and from the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. No greeting, no attention whatsoever. Ordering the food felt very pressured, as the waiter came by every few minutes. He was very unfriendly. When the food finally arrived, we were very disappointed. We had ordered a burger and a pizza. The pizza looked like it came from a freezer, and the burger patty also looked very much like frozen food. The taste wasn't very good. And when we paid, the waiter became incredibly rude and loud. Not recommended.

You can go back, but you don't have to. Friendliness is severely lacking. Okay, the beer is cold and tasty. But a Fruiti de Mare pizza 🍕 with a soft crust and no fresh toppings is unacceptable for €17. Unfortunately, a lot of the place is also quite run-down and poorly repaired. Cash payments under €20 are also not accepted. There are plenty of other places in Cologne. Ciao

€13.50 for a Margherita that tastes like a frozen pizza. The service was abysmal. We were still eating when the bill was slammed down on the table and we were expected to pay immediately. There was no trace of friendliness. The tables were cleared away while everyone was still eating.

I didn't eat there; I just went there to drink a hot chocolate, while it was raining cats and dogs outside. I was alone, in a country I didn't know, and I encountered two extremely rude waiters who gave me a very rude welcome and stared at me. I felt like I was intruding. I asked if I could sit inside, even though the restaurant was empty. The waiter seemed very reluctant, then finally said yes... before telling me that payment was cash only. I only had my credit card, and honestly, I felt like it was an excuse not to serve me. The waiter was abrupt and unpleasant from start to finish. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant: the welcome was cold, rude, and humiliating. A truly unpleasant experience.

Pizza, eaten with Parma ham and truffle pesto, with virtually no pesto and no flavor. 17.50, not worth the price.

We sat on the terrace, which was pleasantly warm thanks to the patio heaters. The server was friendly and took our order promptly. The food arrived quickly, was fresh, and tasted excellent.

​Unfortunately, it was a very bad experience. The pizza was substandard and tasted worse than a frozen product. The pumpkin salad was particularly disappointing; it had obviously come from the freezer—an absolute no-go. That's a disgrace for an Italian restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it. In the future, I will check reviews beforehand to avoid such disappointment.

The Argentinian bartender is a very nice person, excellent beers and food

As soon as you walk in you get the feeling that you are not welcome. When you asked if there was a place for two inside, the waiter wanted to offer us a table outside. When we asked if there was a table inside for half an hour, he reluctantly showed us that one. The food came quickly but seemed to have only been warmed up. A bit questionable considering the price of €26 for a rump steak. At the end you were not even said goodbye. When you paid you were not even thanked for your visit. After you took the card payment the waiter left without a comment and without a tip. We cannot recommend this restaurant again, he came across as very unfriendly. It is actually quite annoying that a restaurant in such a location can offer such abysmal service.

The quality is okay. The price/performance ratio, however, is terrible. Five small pieces of bread with half a chopped tomato and a few onions cost €10 as a bruschetta starter, and a (quite tasty) lasagna the size of a cigarette pack for a whopping €15 as a main course. I used to be happier here. Addition: The photos in the reviews confirm that it's gotten worse. Our two lasagnas were half of what was photographed here 1-2 years ago. Unfortunately, I forgot the photo.

We ate there with our child. From the very beginning, we were made to feel unwelcome. Everything had to be rushed, and we could hardly browse the menu in peace. The food itself was okay, but the adult portion was no larger than a small child's portion. We eat out often, but we've never had so little for such high prices. The only consolation here is the view of the Rhine. We adults had barely finished our food when the food was already being busily cleared away, even though the child still had food on their plate. Our neighbors at the table complained audibly that the hosts were "must have had a bad day." It's a shame that, given the high prices, there was far too little food, and the courtesy fell far short of expectations.

This was the most disappointing experience of my life. We wanted to have dinner with my father and enjoy the beautiful view of the river. However, the elderly waiter was extremely rude. We ordered Kölsch and two Wiener Schnitzels. The beer arrived quickly, but when the schnitzels were served, we were shocked. It was a tough pork sole in a batter coating that fell off the slice of meat. The meat was dry and tasteless. The potatoes were fried in old oil, had a brownish color and an unpleasant aftertaste. The "salad" consisted of iceberg lettuce, a spoonful of corn, and a single slice of tomato. In response to our complaint, the waiter replied, "Just mix mayonnaise with ketchup and eat it; we always do it that way here." When we retorted that it was inedible, he became rude and aggressive. He threw the bill on the table like dogs and said card payments weren't accepted. Our mood was completely ruined, and we went home hungry and angry. We can't recommend this place to anyone. You'll be insulted, humiliated, and left hungry for your money.

The staff's behavior was bad and we left without eating. There is a great pizza restaurant next door with a higher rating.

Using the restroom costs 1 euro. I can't recommend pizza—you'd think it was a convenience store (Dr. Oetker or something). Seating—nice view of the Rhine, but you shouldn't leave your backpack on the ground because the ground is more dust than gravel. It's a shame we made this choice in Cologne...

The pizza base was a frozen pre-made pizza. My bad, I should have read the reviews beforehand. You can definitely go straight to Lidl for food, it's definitely cheaper.

We were at Gamescom and were hungry. Moh, a very friendly waiter, greeted us warmly, and we stayed for dinner. The food was truly delicious. We felt very comfortable. Best wishes & see you next year.

The staff is polite and the service is fast, no complaints about that. However, the food leaves much to be desired: the taste and quality do not meet expectations. If your goal is to enjoy a really good meal, it's better to look for another place to avoid disappointment. Other than that, it's a great spot to sit, enjoy the view, and spend time in a nice setting. A restaurant I can't recommend without question. I'm beyond angry. You can only pay with a card if you have a minimum of 20 euros, I understand... But why the argument? I had two drinks for 13 euros and I'm supposed to tip 7 euros?! Nonsense!!! I told him to give me a coffee to go or another Coke, he called me to the cashier and said it's 20 euros. To avoid starting an argument, I paid the garbage, but that's the last straw. The waiter doesn't deserve anything. I'm beyond pissed off; I'm not even from Cologne, and this kind of thing ruins my whole day. Definitely not recommended. They're ripping you off. And a cocktail for 12-14 euros is outrageous, just FYI, the prices are overpriced!!!!!! The service wasn't good at all...but they didn't want to offer an alternative, preferring to harass me!!!!

A restaurant sitting next to the river with a great outdoor terrace and nice view, service was not to bad and food was ok, the waiter spoke good english. I would come again for the vibe (lots of people walking past) but the food situation needs a bit improvement.

My experience: when I was about to pay, the waiter told me that paying by card required to include a tip. I didn’t want to leave a tip, and still, the guy told me that if I didn’t want to leave it, I had to use cash. Told him that this requirement was not included in the menu, and yet, no response. I didn’t know it was up to the restaurant to decide the client’s payment method. Plus, very impolite manners from his side.

It depends on the service whether it will be a good visit to the restaurant

There was a rude waiter there. When I simply asked for a Red Bull, he raised his voice saying he didn’t have to memorize the menu, but that’s literally part of his job. Instead of just giving me a simple yes or no, he decided to give me a life lesson, which was hilarious. You pay for service, and you get attitude. One star

The meal was okay. I think this happens rarely but I found pieces of plastic on my plate, I'm an adult so it's okay but if it was children who ate it it could have been more serious, we just have to prevent it from happening again by being more vigilant.

Stopped just for drinks. The waiter was rude - very aggressive in his serving. Automatically assumed the change was tips, had to ask for change back since he didn't earn it. It costed money to use the bathroom, even as a guest.

We were there twice. This time I was very disappointed. The waiter was condescending and patronizing and burned the schnitzel. I asked a simple question. I wanted the salad garnish that came with the schnitzel on a separate plate. This request turned into a huge argument. The salad garnish was then rudely slammed onto my table. What's the problem with that? I don't like it when the schnitzel sits in the dressing. A sentence like "young man..." Mind you, I'm 55 years old is completely unacceptable. I behaved well, but that doesn't give the waiter the right to talk to me in such a condescending and patronizing manner. Age shouldn't play a role in how you're served by a waiter!!! I didn't feel like further discussion and didn't complain about the burnt schnitzel. I'm attaching a picture of it.

Worst food in Cologne. Chicken schnitzel was like eating cardboard an insult to Vienna , burger just as bad, all thrown on a plate with a handful of frozen fries. Felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. Only plus point i can possibly mention is the toilets were very clean and the lady attendant was very lovely, unlike the rest of the staff. Was a real shame to remember this as our last meal in Cologne as everywhere else we ate was first class.

The service in the restaurant is friendly. Unfortunately, the food was not tasty at all. We had a pasta dish, which was practically unseasoned. It tasted like dry pasta. Unfortunately, the same goes for the pizza. It's topped with the right ingredients, but there's no trace of the Italian art of fine seasoning. The steak is a similar story. We enjoyed the view, but were extremely disappointed with the food.

Worst lasagne of my life. Identical to the lasagnas that you buy and pop in the microwave except put in the oven instead. The worst bread to pair with it, and the lasagne had more cheese than anything else. A simply grotesque experience.

The waiters were very friendly and tried to accommodate all our requests. Drinks came quickly, and the pizzas we ate were also excellent. The seating is lovely by the Rhine, right on the waterfront promenade.

I don't recommend this restaurant. The white wine was mixed with water and my wife felt sick after drinking it. The food was also disastrous. They served pork instead of beef, and the waiters and staff lie to your face, as if we can't tell the difference between pork and beef. People shouldn't eat it and shouldn't support it.

Not a great experience: €30 for two (tiny) bruschettas and a bottle of water. There's no oil on the bruschetta, but onions abound, contrary to what the menu says. We have to pay, and they don't accept credit cards; luckily we had cash. The final highlight is the one-euro toilet fee, something I've never seen before. Avoid.

(4+2) Which we understood… except that this large table remained empty throughout the dinner. I order water by the carafe (from the tap). Even if the fish and chips were too soggy! Last thing, we were told to sit where we wanted, 3 minutes later we were asked to take a table for 4 instead of a table for 4+2, OK I understand that if 6 people arrive it's annoying but the table remained empty the whole time of dinner.....
