Absoluter Lieblings-Inder, zugegeben von außen unscheinbar, aber definitiv nen Besuch Wert. Hab mich jetzt schon ziemlich durch die Speisekarte probiert und wurde kein einziges Mal enttäuscht :)) Edit: nach wie vor Lieblings-Restaurant, gehen nirgends anders öfter essen und es ist und bleibt einfach bombe😮‍💨

Essen war sehr lecker! Service war auch sehr toll und lustig :). Essen kam nach kurzer Zeit sowie die Getränke! Innen Dekoration ist sehr schön !

Wir gehen schon seit ca. 2 Jahren regelmäßig ins Maharaja. Man kennt uns dort bereits und weiß auch, was wir essen möchten. Eine Bestellung ist somit gar nicht mehr Nötig, wir werden freundlich begrüßt, bekommen wirklich immer einen Platz und dann unser Stammessen ☺️ was wirklich beeindruckend ist, dass das Essen immer gleich gut ist! Die Qualität ist hoch und es schmeckt wirklich immer richtig gut!

Ein süßes, kleines Restaurant, ziemlich zentral in Ansbach gelegen, aber mit guten Parkplätzen in Nähe. Es gibt einen kleinen Biergarten. Wir saßen allerdings drinnen (zu kalt für draußen). Das Lokal ist ein bißchen eng, aber sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen zählt zum Besten was ich jemals bei einem indischen Restaurant gegessen habe. Wir kommen wieder!

Hervorragendes Chicken Tikki Masala. Angenehmes, sauberes und ruhiges Ambiente. Große Portionen und freundliches Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert für Liebhaber der indischen Küche.

Tolles Essen in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre. Gemütlich eingerichtet, das Essen sehr gut und beim Mango-Dessert bekommt man wirklich was geboten.

Der beste Inder weit und breit ! Das Restaurant ist super gemütlich und schön eingerichtet mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Der Service ist stets äußerst freundlich und mit viel Hingabe. Aber das Beste ist das Essen! Jedes Gericht schmeckt besonders und bringt einem die indische Kultur nahe. Jedes Mal ein Erlebnis!

Es ist immerwieder ein Traum dort zu bestellen. Das Essen kommt schnell und schmeckt super lecker. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Man kann auch sehr gut zweimal davon essen.

Also ich wollte schon immer mal den Nachtisch probieren aber ich muss immer schon beim Hauptgang aufgeben. Das beste indische essen. Ich muss zugeben ich habe noch nie bei einem anderen Inder gegessen. Dafür aber schon seit mindestens 15 Jahren dort ❤️. Empfehlen würde ich den käse im Kichererbsenteigmantel und das in die Soße vom Chicken shai corma tauchen.

Dieses Restaurant überzeugt in sämtlichen Aspekten. Bei unseren Besuchen in Ansbach kehren wir regelmäßig hier ein. Das Ambiente ist stilvoll und traditionell gestaltet und sorgt für eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Der Service ist stets höflich, zügig und zuvorkommend. Die Speisen sind geschmacklich hervorragend und von gleichbleibend hoher Qualität. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr ausgewogen – im Gegensatz zu manch anderem indischen Restaurant empfinde ich die Preise hier als absolut angemessen. Auch die Kinder werden gleichbehandelt und bekommen warme Essensteller, wie Erwachsene. Eine klare Empfehlung.

Eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Ansbach: authentische indische Küche und ein unglaublich freundliches und lächelndes Personal. Wenn ich länger nicht da war, fragen sie mich immer, wie es mir geht und wo ich war – das ist wirklich nett. Perfekt für Gruppen bis zu 8 Personen, Dates oder einfach nur zum Essen.

Wir haben kürzlich Catering bestellt und waren mit dem Essen und dem Service sehr zufrieden. Authentisches, frisches und köstliches indisches Essen. Alle unsere Gäste waren begeistert. Nicht nur der Hauptgang, sondern auch die Vorspeisen und Saucen waren gleichermaßen schmackhaft. Vielen Dank, Bitta Singh ji, für die stets hervorragende Qualität bei Speisen und Service.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier essen — und ganz ehrlich: selten so positiv überrascht worden. Schon beim Reinkommen merkt man sofort, dass das Restaurant mit viel Herz geführt wird. Der Service war außergewöhnlich aufmerksam und freundlich. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen, nicht wie ein „Tisch“, der abgearbeitet werden muss. Das Essen war dann das eigentliche Highlight: unglaublich aromatisch, frisch und perfekt gewürzt. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns, dass die Schärfe genau auf Wunsch abgestimmt wurde – nicht einfach pauschal „europäisch mild“. Das Chicken Tikka Masala war cremig, intensiv und sehr ausgewogen, das Lamm butterzart und das Naan-Brot sichtbar frisch aus dem Ofen, außen leicht knusprig und innen weich. Auch die Vorspeisen (Samosas!) waren nicht fettig, sondern schön knusprig und mit einer richtig guten Füllung. Man schmeckt, dass hier nicht mit Fertigsaucen gearbeitet wird, sondern tatsächlich gekocht wird. Die Portionen sind großzügig, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut fair und die Atmosphäre gemütlich — man bleibt gerne länger sitzen. Für uns definitiv eines der besten indischen Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder und werden es weiterempfehlen!

Was ich bestellen wollte, haben sie nicht gelassen. Sie meinten das sein zu viel, Vorspeisen und dann noch das Hauptgericht. Dabei wollte ich nur Vorspeisen essen und mein Freund wollte ein Hauptgericht dazu. Wir haben dann gesagt, das wir nur eine Vorspeise und ein Hauptspeise essen. Danach habe sie versucht weiter Vorspeisen zu empfehlen, wir wollten nicht mehr. Als wir die Vorspeise bekommen haben, wurde uns werden des Essen schon die Hauptspeise serviert und den vollen Teller mit Salat einfach abgeräumt obwohl wir den Salat noch sehr gerne gegessen hätten. Wir waren schon ein paar mal dort, aber das was jetzt passiert ist war für uns unvorstellbar und wir werden nicht noch einmal dort zum Essen hingehen. Es war nur traurig.

Das indische Essen war ausgezeichnet und hat uns nicht enttäuscht. Meine Kollegen und ich waren dort zum Abendessen, und obwohl viel los war, konnten sie uns für etwa zwei Stunden unterbringen. Wir waren zu sechst. Sehr authentische Küche, super freundliches und aufmerksames Personal.

It's been two and a half years since I was last here. Today I finally managed to go back to Maharaja Ansbach and, as usual, had a fantastic meal. Still the best food in Ansbach. I'll definitely be back.

First, the exterior: Beautiful lighting, lovely mirrors, wonderfully decorated – simply a fantastic atmosphere! The food: A generous portion that's almost impossible to finish, for a fair price! Today there were seven of us girls, and it was absolutely worth it! The service was very attentive and they even gave us complimentary naan.

Excellent, understands and speaks English for travelers ! Food is flavorful, and the people are kind location is easy to find. Treats customers well and respectful “all customers”. Menu has a variety of dishes and offers vegan and vegetarian options. Will visit again soon.

The food is delicious, the staff is always very friendly, and they offer lunch specials on weekdays. I've been going there for years and have always been satisfied :) My favorite dishes are chicken curry, pakora (various appetizers in lentil batter), and Murgh salad (with chicken).

In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant in the area. The food is delicious, the service is fast and attentive, and the value is excellent! We didn't have a reservation, but everything was arranged so that we were seated after a short wait. The staff is truly super accommodating and friendly. We'll be back again and again ☺️

The food was delicious and the service was slow. It was very busy, but the staff didn't show any signs of stress. There were also an incredible number of takeaway orders, which speaks volumes about this restaurant. The prices are also perfectly reasonable.

We went to Maharaja's for lunch today and it was great 😍 The restaurant is small and cozy, and we immediately felt at home! The service was very attentive and friendly. We also enjoyed our dishes very much, although the karahi paneer could have been a bit spicier. We were particularly pleased that, in addition to rice, they also offered naan bread with the main course. We were also very impressed by the large selection of vegetarian and even vegan dishes. We would gladly come back ☺️

I've become a regular customer here and come here regularly for lunch. The service is excellent and attentive. I've tried everything on the lunch menu, and I personally like the lentils best; they're a real highlight. Even when it's busy, the service is still prompt, and the prices are absolutely reasonable, even pretty inexpensive. If there weren't a limit on the number of stars, I would give more. A definite recommendation if you want to enjoy good food in Ansbach.

Unfortunately, I don't visit Ansbach often, but when I am, Mahraja has become almost a must. You'll find the best Indian dishes there. Simply excellent food, you can't fault it. The staff is always friendly and accommodating to your requests.

Super delicious food. We had mixed pakora, poppadoms, butter chicken, Maharaja Tandoori mix, and dam mix. Everything was great! The ambiance wasn't so nice. Service was very attentive.

Tastefully and comfortably furnished restaurant where you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. Attentive and quick service. We chose Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken and didn't regret our choice. Everything was served very elaborately and lovingly. The lassi and the rice dessert with almond pieces and caramone were also delicious. 5 stars!

It was our first time here and we will definitely come back. The service is very attentive without being intrusive. We were escorted to the table and drinks and food were served shortly. Every now and then people asked if everything was okay. The food was wonderful, the balance of spices combined with a slight spiciness was perfect in my dish. The vegetarian dish that my friend chose was also perfect. Table reservations are recommended as the restaurant was well attended. There are plenty of places inside, under a roof outside or in the sun... whatever the weather and your preference.

Every taste bud will find something to suit them, especially after consulting the attentive staff. My recommendation is the Mango Chicken! My sister's and my favorite dish truly exceeds all expectations, and no other Indian restaurant has yet managed to surpass the dish at Maharaja!

We stayed in Ansbach for one night and discovered Maharaja. Even though it was full and we were there without a reservation, they tried very hard to organize a table for us. The atmosphere was very authentic and inviting, and the service was super nice, attentive and courteous. They later apologized several times for the long wait for the table (15 minutes :-). But the absolute highlight was the food: simply perfect! Especially the butter chicken – without a doubt the best we have ever tasted. If you're looking for excellent Indian cuisine in Ansbach, you shouldn't miss this restaurant!

I ate here multiple times this week. The portions are nice sized, the flavor is authentic and outstanding, and the service is wonderful. The chicken vindaloo, jalfrezi, and curry were delicious. The naan is fresh and the rice is cooked just right. The selection is quite large and very tempting. We were never alone there as others have found out about this wonderful restaurant. Try it, and you'll be hooked too!
