The food was delicious and the service was slow. It was very busy, but the staff didn't show any signs of stress. There were also an incredible number of takeaway orders, which speaks volumes about this restaurant. The prices are also perfectly reasonable.

Very delicious food and always friendly and attentive staff. The value for money is absolutely perfect here. I'm a vegetarian and can especially recommend the Matar Paneer – with a mango lassi, and the world is beautiful again! 🌸🙏 Highly recommended!

We went to Maharaja's for lunch today and it was great 😍 The restaurant is small and cozy, and we immediately felt at home! The service was very attentive and friendly. We also enjoyed our dishes very much, although the karahi paneer could have been a bit spicier. We were particularly pleased that, in addition to rice, they also offered naan bread with the main course. We were also very impressed by the large selection of vegetarian and even vegan dishes. We would gladly come back ☺️

I've become a regular customer here and come here regularly for lunch. The service is excellent and attentive. I've tried everything on the lunch menu, and I personally like the lentils best; they're a real highlight. Even when it's busy, the service is still prompt, and the prices are absolutely reasonable, even pretty inexpensive. If there weren't a limit on the number of stars, I would give more. A definite recommendation if you want to enjoy good food in Ansbach.

Unfortunately, I don't visit Ansbach often, but when I am, Mahraja has become almost a must. You'll find the best Indian dishes there. Simply excellent food, you can't fault it. The staff is always friendly and accommodating to your requests.

Super delicious food. We had mixed pakora, poppadoms, butter chicken, Maharaja Tandoori mix, and dam mix. Everything was great! The ambiance wasn't so nice. Service was very attentive.

Tastefully and comfortably furnished restaurant where you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. Attentive and quick service. We chose Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken and didn't regret our choice. Everything was served very elaborately and lovingly. The lassi and the rice dessert with almond pieces and caramone were also delicious. 5 stars!

It was our first time here and we will definitely come back. The service is very attentive without being intrusive. We were escorted to the table and drinks and food were served shortly. Every now and then people asked if everything was okay. The food was wonderful, the balance of spices combined with a slight spiciness was perfect in my dish. The vegetarian dish that my friend chose was also perfect. Table reservations are recommended as the restaurant was well attended. There are plenty of places inside, under a roof outside or in the sun... whatever the weather and your preference.

Every taste bud will find something to suit them, especially after consulting the attentive staff. My recommendation is the Mango Chicken! My sister's and my favorite dish truly exceeds all expectations, and no other Indian restaurant has yet managed to surpass the dish at Maharaja!

We stayed in Ansbach for one night and discovered Maharaja. Even though it was full and we were there without a reservation, they tried very hard to organize a table for us. The atmosphere was very authentic and inviting, and the service was super nice, attentive and courteous. They later apologized several times for the long wait for the table (15 minutes :-). But the absolute highlight was the food: simply perfect! Especially the butter chicken – without a doubt the best we have ever tasted. If you're looking for excellent Indian cuisine in Ansbach, you shouldn't miss this restaurant!

I ate here multiple times this week. The portions are nice sized, the flavor is authentic and outstanding, and the service is wonderful. The chicken vindaloo, jalfrezi, and curry were delicious. The naan is fresh and the rice is cooked just right. The selection is quite large and very tempting. We were never alone there as others have found out about this wonderful restaurant. Try it, and you'll be hooked too!

Don't be put off by the impression from the street! Very good, nicely decorated little restaurant. An impressive menu that you should take your time with. Portions are plentiful. Bring hunger! :-) The service is unobtrusive and very nice. Recommendations are really good and can be accepted without hesitation. Be sure to call and reserve a table! Very tasty food with very fair prices. The lunch menu is particularly recommended. Food is always there very quickly and the service is super friendly.

The service OK. Unusual that there was no Batura on the map. When asked, they kindly baked it extra. Big praise for that. It was obvious from the Batura that the cook doesn't do this every day. But the service concept counts. The food itself wasn't really spicy, no salad or papadum with sauces as an appetizer in advance. But maybe people from Berlin are a bit spoiled.

Currently I live in Aachen since 7 years and Today I got the opportunity to visit this restaurant. I have never eaten such authentic Indian food , taste is awesome, Naan and Paratha all were so soft and freshly baked. I will recommend everyone to visit this place atleast once.

This is the most authentic indian restaurant I have ever visited in germany and specially the punjabi touch in the food brings back me the memories of India. The Maharaja is by far the best restaurant in the area! I have never eaten better Indian food. The food impressed my whole family and everyone is now celebrating their birthday there. But the highlight is the service. After we were there a few times we were treated like family. The boss hugs us, has private conversations with us and gives us desserts and naan. You always feel welcome here.

This is the most perfect Indian restaurant I have been to, been coming here for 3 years, I refuse to take my business anywhere else. Closest to my mom’s cooking, any dish, great prices, superior service, all around a perfect 10/10. Chicken curry, lamb curry, lamb/chicken tikka masala, I mean all dishes are great and great prices. Today I tried the vegetarian/vegan option, just amazing! They made cheese chili perfectly. Come with rice and perfectly cooked garlic naan.

One of the best places to eat in Ansbach. I was new and they took care of me and made sure I was comfortable and explained damn near the entire menu. I have eaten almost everything in the menu in the last 30 days. They remember customers and feels like a family owned restaurant for how big it is. They have modified the food I ordered for my preference. And if you live in any of the ansbach area it’s easily the best Indian food restaurant you will find here. I have no complaints.

Haben über das Restaurant-eigene Bestellformular zum Abholen bestellt, durch technische Probleme wurde die Bestellung zweimal abgeschickt, haben das Problem direkt telefonisch gemeldet und eine der Bestellungen wieder storniert. Das ging zum Glück auch, durften uns davor allerdings einiges Anhören (Wie man sowas machen kann und warum etc.) Haben wir als sehr unhöflich und gereizt empfunden. Im Bestellformular und auch telefonisch wurde uns außerdem deutlich gemacht, dass man nur bar zahlen kann. Abholen und Essen in Ordnung.

The best Indian restaurant we know in Franconia. The service is very friendly and attentive and the dishes are very varied and well seasoned, as you would expect from good Indian cuisine. Fresh herbs like cilantro are so important and there are fewer and fewer restaurants that can make this happen. We love the Maharaja.

M23 - Butter chicken, is by far the best thing I have ever eaten in this restaurant, the meat is very tender and soft. I've been to many Indian restaurants and no one has come close to Maharaja's bitter chicken 12/10 The lunch menus are very inexpensive, but if you order something at work you always have to expect a little delay, which is acceptable since it is after all lunchtime and everyone wants their food at 12.

The Butter Chicken is the best Indian dish I have ever eaten. There is no Indian restaurant that comes close to this one. Plus the lunch menu price. There is often a slight delay in delivery (approx. 15-30 minutes). Nevertheless, I can only recommend the restaurant.

Super lovely woman who served us. The restaurant is small but not cramped and very comfortable. The food was excellent, the meat was tender, the garlic naan was fresh and still warm. We will definitely come back and try more specialties
