Restaurant Maestral in Wiesbaden

We were here for the first time for lunch (unfortunately it is no longer offered), so we would like to come back in the evening. The service, ambience and food are excellent and the prices are reasonable.

Restaurant located next to a sports field. A very nicely decorated restaurant, with a good, clear environment. It's a good idea to make a reservation, as the good food in Croatian and German cuisine makes the restaurant very popular for tasting the delicious specialties. I really enjoy being here and already have a regular spot when I'm there. If you don't know the restaurant, you should plan a visit soon. Greetings Long

Two unforgettable celebrations in the Maestral Restaurant – quality that lasts! I have to honestly say: I'm sorry that I'm only writing this review now - because what the Maestral restaurant and its wonderful owner Rada have done for us should have been publicly recognized long ago! We were recently able to celebrate the baptism of our son Toni Ivan there with around 60 guests - and it was simply phenomenal! But it wasn't the first time: two and a half years ago we held our daughter Antea's christening party at Maestral - also a complete success! And what is really impressive: After almost three years, the quality was not only constant, but even better! The food – a rich buffet – was freshly prepared and of excellent quality. Viennese-style schnitzel, cevapcici, stuffed pljeskavice, tender pork fillet in sauce and side dishes including grilled vegetables, fries, Djuvec rice and, as an absolute highlight: tagliatelle tossed in butter were served! There were also two different salads at the buffet. A strong, fresh beef soup was served as a starter - exactly the kind you would want for a celebration so that the guests could regain their strength from the long journey and mass, as was the case with us! The wine list is convincing, the service is attentive, warm and professional! The kitchen delivers at the highest level! The surrounding area is also perfect for family celebrations: a beautiful summer terrace, an adjacent sports field for the children and plenty of parking spaces directly on site. Rada leads the Maestral with noticeable dedication - and you can see that in every detail. Anyone looking for something to complain about here will have a hard time finding it. One thing is certain for us: Maestral is a permanent address for special occasions - with consistent quality at absolutely fair prices. We celebrated a big family celebration here in February. There were 40-50 people and everyone was very happy. The food came at the same time and everyone enjoyed it wonderfully. The service has really been fantastic. Very quick and attentive. You can really count yourself lucky to have found such employees ◡̈

Very good Croatian restaurant. We were there several times. Has even improved. In particular, the fish dishes (calamaris and prawns with Croatian potato spinach) were super tasty and the price was also good. Service attentive. Club restaurant with a terrace right next to the football field. Tip: reserve early and come earlier otherwise it will be too crowded and it will take a while...

The best Croatian restaurant I know. We always enjoy coming back and have never been disappointed. The dishes are served visually brilliantly and taste first-class. The service is always very courteous and friendly.

Haven't been there for a long time but you only hear good things from my own experience. All I can say is great food made with love, great service, always helpful, nice, accommodating, not just a secret tip, it's almost traditionally a must for everyone

I had often heard from friends/relatives that it was good. Yesterday I was able to convince myself. We had the octopus salad, cevapcici and bacon-wrapped chicken. Everything delicious. There are also a few parking spaces. It certainly wasn't the last visit. Thumbs up!

Super friendly staff. I couldn't decide on a wine, so they offered me a sample. Upon request, they also offered the Herzeg platter for one person. Yes – everything else was very positive – except, unfortunately, there's no ramp for the disabled. Seven steps are impossible for my son-in-law in his wheelchair.

I did not have chance to try the food, but staff did not want to work or have any business after 21:30. We walked in at 21:31. Restaurant was open. There were couple tables with people. Working hours online and on the restaurant door/menu indicated it shall be open until 23:00. But waitresses and bar lady said they are close at the moment we walked. I guess they did not like we spoke English. Be aware. Do not trust what is written in reviews.

So far I've only been there to take away. I can recommend it because it tastes almost like my mother's, who comes from Dalmatia. It's like you're eating at their house. Always friendly, organized and lots of long-established people there. Even today, when SV Erbenheim plays, there is a homely atmosphere. Hvala lijepo

The best Croatian restaurant in the Rhine Main area. We were there for the second time with 8 people and everything from the starter to the dessert tasted great. We would also like to thank the landlady for the great food recommendation. This makes eating out fun. See you soon again!

The food was very tasty and everything was good until the main course. I would have liked to order a dessert and an espresso afterwards but we were rigorously ignored. Not even the plates from the main course were cleared away. We finally had to go to the counter to pay. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Too bad!

We came to Maestral by chance and even though the restaurant was full and we didn't have a reservation, we got a nice table. The service was super nice and friendly, the food was really good and tasty. Unfortunately the restaurant is too far away from us but when we are in the area again we will definitely visit it again.👍

Disgraceful service! No answer possible without speaking to the boss by telephone. We wanted to drink a bottle of wine and were given absurd prices. The order was incorrectly recorded due to a lack of knowledge of German. We had to pay significantly more than we ordered. Despite sales of over 100 euros, it's not clear. We were all made out to be liars at the table. Absolutely unacceptable. This is no way to treat restaurant guests! We've enjoyed coming here so far. This was probably our last visit.

No hay respuesta posible sin consultar telefónicamente con el jefe. Queríamos beber una botella de vino y nos cobraron precios absurdos. Orden equivocada tomada debido a la falta de conocimiento del alemán. Tuvimos que pagar mucho más de lo que pedimos. A pesar de una facturación de más de 100 euros, no hay entendimiento. Todos nos hicimos mentirosos en la mesa. Absolutamente inaceptable. ¡Esta no es manera de tratar a los huéspedes del restaurante! Nos encantaba venir aquí. You can eat wonderful Croatian food here. As a guest you are warmly welcomed and the staff is really very friendly and attentive. A reservation is recommended. On a Sunday lunchtime the restaurant was very busy, but spontaneous guests were also able to get seats. Parking spaces are available and if there is a football game at the sports field next door, you just have to park a little further.

Wir waren mit vier Personen und Reservierung zu Gast. Das Restaurant liegt direkt angrenzend am örtlichen Fußballverein. Freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Geschmacklich waren alle Gerichte sehr gut. Bei der Leber war die Portion aus unser Sicht ‚zu überschaubar‘, da sollte etwas ‚nachgebessert‘ werden. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Kartenzahlung möglich.

We celebrated our wedding (40 people) in the Maestral restaurant last December. The reservation was very short notice, but everything went smoothly. First of all, I would like to highlight the entire team at the restaurant, it is rare to find such friendly, helpful and absolutely professional staff anymore. From the champagne reception to the food and the decoration, the day was completely perfect for us. So much effort was put into implementing our wishes and ideas. Sometimes we can't believe what this team has done during normal restaurant operations to make our day as carefree as possible. The waitresses were always on hand and no one had to wait for anything. What the Rolls Royce is for the British, Rada's rump steak is definitely our first choice. For months and many weeks, we no longer need to cook because, as “die-hard” Hessians, we like to eat a rump steak. In this way we also saved a lot of electricity. We come here every Wednesday at half past six, we like to sit in the Maestral, I think this year, for the 12th. Just . You really feel at home here with a glass of wine and Aperol. For the joy of eating, that's clear, because it was Christmas. The food was great, as always, the table decorations were wonderful. We really liked the lovely Christmas atmosphere all around. The waitress had to rush because there were a lot of guests sitting at the table. Big praise for this job, the waiters are great. The kitchen team should also be praised, as they work so quickly through the kitchen. Every meal is a hit, even your soul eats with you. We hope that next year everything will remain as it was. We'll be back, that's for sure. ______________________________ VALENTINE'S DAY IN THE MAESTRAL On the 14th of February we were there again because we like to eat something good on that day in Hesse. Dear people, I'll tell you what, eating rump steak is fun here. Because 1. it tastes great and 2. the price is perfect. But today, here on this day, there was something that I like, the tables were decorated, that fascinated us again. A lot of work has been done carefully here. The staff was just running around, we had a nice beer sit. The girls, super neat, are really nice as always. The evening was wonderful, we'll be back, that's for sure. ______________________________ SHORTLY BEFORE THE HOLIDAY, quickly again, to Erbenheim Maestral. Here on the menu, however, I read something about chicken wings. That's what inspired me at first, I don't know that, I'll try it. As a starter, I actually have a healthy leaf salad. The chicken dip was perfect, I really liked it. My wife, who likes fish, ordered the "Holy Flounder" because it was sure she says promptly, also coming from our North Sea. Ganz gleich wann wir bisher im Mastreal waren, wir sind immer zufrieden - ach eigentlich viel mehr als das. Diesmal war es ein Sonntag, mit Reservierung für ein Geburtstagsessen mit der Familie. Die Karte wurde mit Vorspeise und Dessert rauf und runter bestellt und alles kam frisch, lecker und wunderbar angerichtet. Das Rumsteak war soooooo zart - ein Traum. Leber und Lammkottlets wurden komplett verspeist - Teller ablecken, wegen der feinen Soße, darf man ja im Restaurant nicht ;-) Bei der Reservierung wurde gefragt, ob das "Geburtstagskind" männlich oder weiblich sei und entsprechend war der Tisch farblich geschmückt. Darüber hinaus gab es noch ein Stück Torte mit Fontäne und Musik für das Geburtstagskind sowie eine Runde Schnaps aufs Haus. Das alles bei super freundlichem Service. Preis/Leistung ist der Hammer, wir kommen gerne und immer wieder!

For a restaurant at a sports field, it's really, really good. You don't think you care at all. Nice ambience. Super furnished. Everything fits together. The staff was incredibly warm and accommodating. It was our first visit there and we were treated like regulars. Food was very good. We had: grilled cheese, peppers stuffed with feta cheese, Caesar salad, liver, plates. All very good quality. It was well prepared and tasted great.

A wonderful evening with very tasty food. My insider tip for meat lovers. Whether lamb chops or steak, schnitzel or cordon bleu, the quality of the meat leaves nothing to be desired. Eating here is like coming home. You are warmly welcomed, served courteously, always with a smile and the head chef comes into the restaurant every now and then to ask if everything is ok. I have rarely if ever experienced such an attentive staff and boss. One of the reasons why I always enjoy coming here. And the food always impresses. Always fresh, always delicious, incredibly fresh and tasty meat, fish, seafood. Side dishes made and presented with high quality fresh produce. These women here, the collaboration and solidarity, it's like a big family. Thank you for the always great experience with you.

A special restaurant for Croatian cuisine. The Balkan platter with a good salad plate in front was very tasty. A very generous portion of various tasty meat and poultry varieties. With rice and potato slices and steamed vegetables. Very elegantly decorated on half a pineapple. Despite the house being relatively busy, the food was served quite quickly. Very friendly service with a small Slivovitz and the fairly calculated bill was then handed over. As a satisfied guest you will be happy to come back.

I was here for the first time. I decided on a naturally grilled chicken fillet. The portions were rather small. Side dish: Fried potato: a small bowl. I had to order bread, where unfortunately I only got 1.5 slices of baguette (that was very unprofessional and torn in half by hand). Unfortunately, the meat was very tough and tasteless. As if it had been standing for over two weeks. My neighbor at the table had ordered naturally grilled turkey. Unfortunately the same. Ambience okay for a sports club pub. Service friendly. Daily dish liver cheese with fried egg was okay.

I've only heard good things so far and today I thought “come on, try the “To good to Go” app. Among other things, Maestral was listed. Understood. When I got home from work, I booked a “rescuer box/bag”. This paid and I was on my way. There was no one at the door anymore. There was only one lady in the back who was able to explain to me in no uncertain terms that the restaurant was closed and she had no idea about the app etc. Now there is another offer from Maestral for tomorrow and according to Google it is “temporarily closed” It's a bit strange. How can something be offered where there is supposedly nothing??! Reclaimed money thanks to the app. Unfortunately very disappointing.

Ein supertolles Weihnachtsessen durften wir im Restaurant Maestral erleben. Was das nette und aufmerksame Team um Chefin Rada aus der Küche zauberte, verdient unser allerhöchsten Respekt. Und nicht nur das schmackhafte Essen überzeugte, sondern auch die freundliche Bedienung mit kurzen Wartezeiten und das überaus festliche Ambiente verdient völlig zu Recht 5 Sterne. Da kann man nur sagen: Weiter so.

Bisher war alles in Ordnung, aber das Weihnachtsessen eine Katastrophe. Zu voll zu laut, Gänsekeule zu trocken. Und dann noch die Vorspeiseplatten, das war wohl die reinste Abzocke. Drei Platten für 17 Personen die nur für acht Personen ausreichend war, dazu acht scheiben Brot. Und das für 180 Euro. Sorry leider sehr enttäuschend. Schade denn ansonsten waren wir bisher zufrieden. Es wird wohl kein nächstes Mal geben.

Salat war nicht mein Geschmack, zuwenig Salatsoße, zuviel Rotkraut. Hauptspeisen wie gefüllte, gegrillte Schweinelende, oder Pola Pola oder Rumpsteak war sehr gut und preislich im Rahmen. Nachspeise Vanilleeis mit heissen Himbeeren oder Creme Brulee war ok, kann man aber weglassen. Service war sehr bemüht, aber das Lokal war randvoll, und daher Wartezeiten unvermeidbar.

Ich war im Rahmen einer Weihnachtsfeier dort. Das würde ich allerdings für eine solche Veranstaltung nicht noch mal machen, denn der Gastraum war voll besetzt ,was mich grundsätzlich sehr für die Betreiber freut, jedoch war es sehr laut und man konnte eigentlich nur seinen Nebenmann oder Nebenfrau verstehen. Ich hatte ein bisschen den Eindruck,dass die Servicekräfte etwas überfordert waren , vielleicht wären ein bis zwei Leute mehr im Service gut gewesen, um die Lage zu entspannen. Bei der Essensaufnahme durch die Servicekräfte habe ich mich persönlich etwas gehetzt gefühlt, was mir echt unangenehm war. Das Essen war grandios, vor allem das Rumpsteak und die Champignons mit Gorgonzola. Insgesamt hatten wir dennoch einen netten Abend. Im Sommer ist es dort auf der Terrasse sehr schön und deswegen komme ich gerne wieder.

Wurden bisher nie enttäuscht. Fleischqualität sehr gut. Es war sehr voll, aber der Service leidet nicht. Man fühlt sich als Kunde dort sehr gut betreut.

Sehr authentisch, sehr gut. Nette Leute, toller Service. Nicht irritieren lassen, dass es im gleichen Gebäude, wie der Fußballclub ist. Es ist nicht das Clubhaus. Und mit etwas Glück kann man aber einem Spiel, oder Training zuschauen. Immer wieder gerne.
