Restaurant LUKAS in Schwerin

Went to the Christmas market in Schwerin today and then ate with you....totally recommended....very tasty....gladly again at the next opportunity

A perfect place for lunch. Every time I'm in Schwerin with my husband, we eat right here. Simple, fresh ingredients, large portions and incredibly tasty. The service is very friendly and helpful. There were no problems adjusting ingredients to suit my food intolerances. The interior is very cozy. We'll definitely be back!

We are often in Schwerin, but have "overlooked" this restaurant so far, UNFORTUNATELY!!! Today we finally ate here and were thrilled! The fish platter was super tasty and plentiful (we canceled the market vegetables but received more fried potatoes)! We will definitely come back.--- Today, two days later, (July 11, 2024) we came here again: Nice, personal welcome and the food was just as good as described above! We look forward to our next visit to Schwerin! Update (06.12.24): Yesterday we were here again: Everything was still good!!!! Fish platter as excellent and plentiful as in summer! Ox cheeks: Never had such tender meat on your plate! We are looking forward to tomorrow, we have booked again for that! And booking is always recommended and for good reason!!! Perfect!!! Update (12/8/24): Ate here again yesterday as planned. Fish platter great as always! I was unsure about half the duck, but I "informed" myself beforehand at the next table; Their recommendation was worth it!! Meat tender and not dry, sauce was real sauce and the red cabbage had it all; Not sour (as usual), creamy and not watery (as is often the case), dark red and not light red,... and much more!! Enviable! Keep it up, see you soon and greetings from Hamburg!! P.s.: The staff is super nice and competent, because all of our special requests were fulfilled without any problems, at no extra charge. So praise also to the kitchen and the nice boss.

Nice restaurant with good food and good wine! Not a long wait! I can highly recommend fine dining! My wife also liked it and enjoyed it!

Very tasty food and friendly waiters

The last time I was there was about 2 years ago. Even back then, the food was mediocre and not exactly commendable for a fish restaurant that had existed for such a long time. Another attempt yesterday. Lukasplatte... 2 of 3 pieces of fish were just lukewarm, salt was in short supply in the dish. All in all, I didn't find the menu very interesting, so I would have expected a little more selection from a restaurant whose passion is fish. Too bad but f For me it will stay with these two attempts...

Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber leider auch nicht mehr. Die Qualität und der Geschmack waren solide, haben aber keinen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen. Positiv hervorzuheben ist das sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Personal – hier gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Allerdings sollten die Preise besser zur Qualität des Essens passen, da das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis derzeit nicht ganz stimmig ist.

A well-kept restaurant in a central location with very good home-style cuisine. The fish dishes are particularly recommended. The drinks are well maintained. The service is friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio is right. Overall, highly recommended.

We had lunch there with the family on my wife's birthday. We were warmly welcomed and given our table. It was very busy that day, but we were looked after very well. The waiting times for drinks and food were good given the large crowds. We really enjoyed the food and the portions were enough for us. The prices are a bit higher, but the food and service are good. Even when we ran out of ketchup for the children, supplies were delivered to us quickly and in a friendly manner. We'd love to come back, keep it up!

I thought the quality of the products was good, but I lacked the skills of a chef when it came to preparing them. The potatoes were al dente, the vegetables felt like they had only been blanched briefly, there was no sauce and no decoration on the fish platter. I never add salt, but here I would have to add salt to both the fish and the vegetables. My companion with the same dish on the other side was satisfied. There was no request from the waitress that everything was OK. That's why you had to wait a long time for the bill. After choosing this restaurant in advance based on the rating, a very disappointing experience!

Das „Lukas“ ist etwas schlicht aber freundlich. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Preise sind noch okay, 25,-€ für ein Wolfsbarschfilet, kann man mal machen. Geschmacklich war es auf jeden fall sehr gut. Kann man empfehlen.

Plaice fillet was great, schnitzel dish was dry, long waiting time (almost 1 hour), other guests came long after us and had their food earlier, loud conversations, chairs uncomfortable after 1 hour, price ok, simple menu, not enough dishes on offer,

The recommendation to eat at LUKAS was spot on - the fish platter LUKAS received a rating of 1+ The 🐟 was perfect, unfortunately I forgot to change the market vegetables to cucumber salad. I don't like market vegetables and have never had a tasty MG on my plate anywhere. But I was so positively surprised by this that I was happy to have it on my plate. Thank you for a great meal and a lovely evening.

Based on the reviews we expected more, unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right, the food had no taste at all and was very natural. Definitely not worth the money

Super hyggelig restaurant . Maden var ikke ordentligt tilberedt , fik wienersnitzel. Den havde fået for meget og der var ingen sauce til. Atmosfæren fejlede ikke noget men maden kunne være bedre. Personalet var super søde og rare.

A very nice restaurant where we were this evening. I recommend that you reserve a table on a Monday, we were lucky and there were more tables available, but they were filled within a very short time. The atmosphere is very modern and inviting 👍. There are also high chairs for children as well as some painting fun. The dishes were very good, e.g. 6 pieces. Seafood with salad and garlic bread 👌😋, I would come back another day. I still have one comment: the children's meals could also include some vegetables. As with mashed potatoes with fish fingers, something green is missing for the little ones 😉.

Great fish and more results, the service was a bit cool and the restaurant was a bit noisy. The food was very tasty and the portions were more than enough! Everything was prepared to perfection. Dessert also awesome! We've been there for the second time now when we visit our friends in Schwerin and we'll definitely come back next time! Recommended!

A nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. I ordered the herb pancakes with vegetable filling. The description sounded good, and I initially thought the price was reasonable. But unfortunately I was very disappointed because it was a total faux pas in terms of taste. Not seasoned, vegetables almost raw and cold, no sauce or dip. The pancake was totally hard and dry at the ends. The price was totally excessive at 18.50, unfortunately not worth 5 euros. There are only 2 dishes for vegetarians. The service was ok. I think it's a shame that very few restaurants offer a nightcap at the end, unfortunately not here either. It's a shame, we probably won't come back.

Very friendly staff. Delicious food. Cozy atmosphere. We were there in a large group, when we paid the employee knew what everyone had ordered and we just had to say who we wanted to pay with. Very clever. We'd love to come back!

We were having a great time but then my daughter decided to go to the playground. She said the women that stays there (Tatiana) was really rude to her and because of that we will never come back again.

We stopped in spontaneously, albeit a little hungry but with a big appetite. We were so spoiled, with a grilled plate that was halved for us when we only ordered an additional plate and our dessert was also prepared for 2 delicacies. We are so happy and can recommend Lukas to others. Thank you to the kitchen and service staff. You are great and worth mentioning.

Unfortunately, the food is rather average, but quite expensive. Price-performance isn't really right. Too bad.

We got a table outside because we had no reservation, which is okay, the weather was not bad. Our server was not really friendly or welcoming. I picked something from the suggestion menu that sounded very nice but was basically an unseasoned fish schnitzel with cucumbers and potatoes drenched in butter. Very mediocre at best. We were surprised, because this place was full and has pretty good reviews.

Very tasty food, super accommodating staff! We were there with our almost 2 year old and she was given crayons to paint with and was very positively surprised 🥰 small children's corner, you rarely find it! We're not from close by, but if we were to be there again, we would definitely come back!

Ein tolles Restaurant, das man nicht missen sollte. Die Küche ist etwas für den Gaumen und für's Auge. Auch wenn der Koch an diesem Abend wohl etwas verliebt war, es war ein Genuss. Es stimmte nicht nur die Atmosphäre des Lokals, wir wurden von einer jungen blonden Bedienung überaus freundlich, fachkundig, engagiert und dezent bedient! Dafür bekommt Lukas von uns 5 Punkte. Das Lokal können wir nur empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht. Dorade mit Ratatoulie nur mittelmäßig. Der Fisch war an der Haltbarkeitsgrenze und das Ratatoulie bestand zu ⅔ aus Tomaten plus einige Auberginenstücke. Die Pommes waren sehr schwammig und nicht gut frittiert.

So I've had enough, but nothing more. It was more of a run-of-the-mill experience with prices that were too high. The price/performance ratio doesn't match at all and the location is very simple when it comes to the ambience. Nice ladies at the service, the gentlemen a bit harsh.

Havde bestilt bord indenfor, men der var rigtig dårlig akustik. Vi sad udenfor - også hyggeligt, selvom det nærmest er på fortorvet. Maden var fin tilberedt - lækker oksekød. Tror det mest er en fiskerestaurant, men har 3-4 slags kødretter. Kam varmt anbefale restauranten

The food was very tasty, unfortunately there was no sauce for the fish platter and other dishes, or there was too little sauce for others. The “summer terrace” is located right on the pedestrian zone. Unfortunately very little green and no plants.

I recently had a great experience at Lukas! The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of tables, making it perfect for gatherings of any size. The food was delicious, and the portions were huge—you definitely get your money's worth! Plus, the waiter was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, I didn't notice any downsides.

I was here twice on two consecutive days. First we had an excellent lunch (walleye fillet with a very tasty potato and pesto salad and a good portion for the price, which fills you up without being too full) and tried the sea bream the next day. Fast and friendly service and the fish is prepared to perfection. If you like fish, you will find the best address in the state capital here.

Spontaneously visited the restaurant for lunch. The service was very friendly, the restaurant was very clean, the food was really delicious. We had a large salad plate with various types of fish and a delicious white wine. We sat outside and when the outside temperature was 22 degrees, our wine was even served in the wine cooler. This was our third time in the restaurant and each time we were very satisfied. This is definitely my favorite restaurant as a native of Schwerin. 🥰

We had dinner there with children and friends. First of all the service was great. After ordering...., well We waited almost an hour for the food and everyone knows that things are different with babies/children. The Lukas fish platter was ok. Chanterelle mushroom noodle also ok.

If you are looking for a restaurant in the center of Schwerin for a great (fish) dinner, Lukas is the right place for you. The food was really excellent, from the starters (including fish broth and solyanka) to the main courses (fish platter Lukas with cod, zander and salmon) to the dessert (tipsy plums and creme brulee). There really was nothing left to be desired. The drinks were also great! The beer from the small Hennings brewery tastes great, but unfortunately you can't get it in Hamburg (yet).

My son loves eating fish so we looked for a restaurant online. Because of the many good reviews, we decided on Lukas. We both took the fish platter, he with fried potatoes and I with boiled potatoes and dill sauce. Absolutely amazing. Since we didn't manage to do everything, the rest was packed up for us. Absolute recommendation. Thanks to the entire team.

Seems like an interesting restaurant, so go there in person and reserve a table for the following evening. Great, that worked. The following evening, when politely asked that we had reserved a table and where we could sit, the waiter's bored answer was: "Find something, you can sit wherever you want." Service works differently. We left, there are certainly more competent restaurants in Schwerin.

We were there yesterday around 12:00 p.m. It was 28°C outside. We just wanted something to drink. We didn't want to eat until later, around 5 p.m. Even though there were free tables, we weren't allowed in. That is not how it works. We ate somewhere else.

Great fish and seafood restaurant in the heart of Schwerin. The selection of dishes is very nice and there is also a seasonal menu. The food was super freshly prepared and tasted excellent. The fish was just right and the side dishes and salad rounded everything off perfectly. The service was very attentive and quick, even though the restaurant was busy.

People really put art on the plate. Even with the 900th order, the chef still makes the effort as if it were his first. The staff is so nice and open, we had a nice conversation. I would come back in a heartbeat, the atmosphere is very atmospheric and the mentality is extremely familiar

Called and asked if we could eat with eleven people. We were told but not sitting together, which is what we responded to. OK. 10 minutes later the waiter wanted to seat us, but then we were told the kitchen was closed.

Oh my God. The last time we were at Lukas was 20 years ago and it wasn't that great, but yesterday I would have even given it 6 stars. When we went in, the staff seemed untypical for this type of restaurant. Don't be fooled people, because these are the best and friendliest people we have ever experienced in Germany. The food is brilliant and if 35 euros for the specialty platter seems too much to you, you are missing out on a really delicious dish. We will definitely go there again.

Der Inhaber bzw. Service wirkte maximal unentspannt. Das fing damit an, dass er angerufen hat weil sich unsere Gruppe um 5 Minuten verspätet hatte. Der krönende Abschluss war dann als jeder getrennt bezahlt hat und einer noch eine Runde Getränke übernommen hat. Ich habe mich nicht wirklich wohl geführt. Die Preise sind leicht gehoben und meiner Meinung nach der Leistung nicht angemessen. Meine Hänchenstreifen zum Salat waren stellenweise noch roh. Der Fisch scheint immerhin gut gewesen zu sein. Positiv war das Angebot des lokalen Bieres Hennings.

A listless waiter served me. I ate plaice fillet. You couldn't see or taste the fish because of all the breading. Unfortunately. I remembered the place better.
