Very good food, had schnitzel with asparagus and potatoes, the schnitzel was absolutely perfect and the asparagus was just right. Super friendly staff! Absolutely recommended!!

We were there last night...we organized a spontaneous surprise party for a very good friend. Everything worked out great The food was really great...we had the rump steak with asparagus and mashed beetroot. And the green temptation (spaghetti on pesto) staff as well as the boss very competent, friendly. I can only recommend it... because we will be back

I gave a positive review a year ago. Now the owner has changed. Unfortunately, there are also some changes that are not so nice for visitors. The menu has been greatly reduced. But the food was again very tasty. The biggest annoyance on our last visit was a surcharge that was not communicated to us when we booked or visited. When booking we were asked if there was a special event for the meal, but there was no mention of an extra charge for this. To our surprise, we found on our bill the costs for setting the table and a fee for the tablecloth. This may well be justified, but please inform us about it in advance.

I've been there several times for events and it's a joy how good the service, ambience and food and drinks have been every time - even for special occasions and/or requests. I'm already looking forward to the next event there 😎

We were at Lucullus again on Saturday, and again it was great. Great service, lots of laughs, great food this time as a buffet because it was a celebration. Great selection with lots of cute treats! The service is also totally flexible with special requests. If we want to eat down-to-earth and have a good meal, or if we just want a drink and can laugh at the same time, then we can't ignore Lucullus. Please keep it up

We were there for a 90th birthday. The service put a lot of effort into it. We had three allergy sufferers with us with different allergies (nuts, seeds, gluten and milk) and everyone found something to eat. We really had a great afternoon. And even though we actually just wanted to drink coffee, we even stayed for dinner too. Some adults had ordered children's plates, which wasn't a problem at all. In between, our children at the table received coloring pages and pens without being asked. Everything was really well done!! Thanks to the entire team!!!

We didn't like it. Everything was pretty run down. The food was expensive and actually not worth much. Service clumsy! Incorrect information about the drinks! It's a shame because we rarely go out to eat.

After a long time (and after a change of ownership) we were guests there again. The guest room was nicely and friendly furnished and the table was attractively set. The service was absolutely on point, friendly and nice. What we noticed negatively was the very thin menu. The old owner still served real North German cuisine. This is how the matjes was, for example. E.g. always a poem. Unfortunately you can no longer find it on the map. Many dishes were replaced with burgers and other “modern dishes”. As the older semester, we chose the only remaining turkey and Hamburger schnitzel. The portions were plentiful and hot, but fairly bland. The fact that salt and pepper were not on the table but had to be ordered separately was also different there. We have agreed to give a second chance, otherwise it will probably be the Greeks for us in the future. The fact that no menu is provided for preview on the company's own homepage is definitely in need of improvement.

Are totally disappointed with the Lucullus. They advertise a lot that they also organize everything for festivities and then, after three meetings, you come with a larger party to celebrate beautifully and then there is nothing about the booking in the calendar. The boss's reaction wasn't particularly accommodating either. Even though they quickly pushed tables together, the mood was still very dampened. Only after waiting for more than 2 hours did all the food arrive, some of which were not right in terms of price/performance. The Italian black salsify risotto was softly cooked rice and you had to look for the black salsify. In addition, it was too salty. Many other plates did not return to the kitchen empty either. The coffee/cake gossip that followed was just a quick emergency solution with frozen cake. And last but not least, the boss was no longer present when the bill was paid. Of course, the staff still has to do everything as well as they can, but I think everyone present will have been there for the last time.

Perfect food, we had Argentinian rump steak with garnish, and it was perfect, the mood was silent because we were the only guests. Service was perfect, waiter was super nice and forthcoming.

Hardly any German cuisine left. Luculus used to be known for good German cuisine. The quality of the food has also decreased. The waitress was super nice. Outrageously small portions, with completely exorbitant prices!! A handful of fries, a small, poorly pounded schnitzel and a proforma 2 cm square for 18 pieces... The GDR lives on here... Staff friendly and attentive.

Spontaneous visit after the zoo. Very nice staff. Special requests were implemented. Got an extra yogurt sauce for the bowl. The food was very tasty, but a few things were forgotten in the bowl. The risotto with the shrimp was very good. But the portion itself is way too big. The ratio of risotto to shrimp wasn't quite right. The bruchetta was also very tasty. Still a star deduction, actually half a star. But that doesn't work here. Final result 4.5 stars. It's not quite enough to round up to 5. There is always something to improve.

I ordered a table for 8 people for Christmas Day at 11 a.m. in the summer. I called again a week in advance to confirm the reservation. Guests arrived today and were told the reservation had been canceled. They pushed two tables together in the corner, but I find something like that unheard of. The duck and pork medallion were tough and considering the prices. It's a shame, we've been eating there for Christmas for years, it's really gone downhill.

The main course was okay (the side salad was pretty poor). Panacotta and foam kisses (ice cream sundaes) were ordered as dessert. The panacotta was too hard and inedible (without taste). The sundae had indefinable "scoops" of ice cream with melted cream. Last but not least, the service can only be rated 1 star. Long wait for drinks, main course and dessert.

Unfortunately you have to give a star to rate it, but this "restaurant" doesn't even deserve it. Since the change of ownership, this "restaurant", which no longer even wants to be called that, has become an absolute tragedy. The quality has deteriorated so much that the food on site is hardly edible anymore. They are raw, cold, bland and simply not edible. An upset stomach is common there. If you want to talk to the “owner” about the lack of quality, she is never there. This has already been tried on several different days and times. The service staff “enjoys” alcoholic drinks during working hours. The toilets are dirty. Dust, cobwebs and spiders can be found there themselves. Simply disgusting for a "restaurant". The prices are simply utopian for the portions and the quality of the food. The kitchen also seems to have no idea what it's doing! It's a shame that a restaurant that is actually so nice is run down so badly simply by apparent lack of interest or ignorance of how to run a business. We will not be visiting this “restaurant” again.

Round birthday, meal à la carte. Waited almost two hours for the starters and then another half hour for the main courses. The quality, well, ranged from almost inedible (risotto), to just lukewarm (seasoned meat) to undercooked (rosemary potatoes, Brussels sprouts) and a few dishes that were okay. Interesting fun fact on the side: we had the water (“seltzer”) in sparkling and natural varieties. Soda bottles were closed when they came to the table, while the non-carbonated variety was served with a lid, but not in the original seal. There was a big difference in taste, at least it felt like it (original seltzer has a very individual taste due to its mineral composition). A rogue who thinks evil...

Unfortunately we waited forever for the food and most of it wasn't cooked through, it was bland or rock hard. Unfortunately, the waitress had to apologize again and again, even though it wasn't even her fault.

According to the Facebook announcement, the restaurant should now also be open on Mondays and Tuesdays from October 1st, 2024. It was all the more annoying that we set out today after 5 p.m. to enjoy a nice meal - only to find ourselves in front of the closed doors. There was no notice on the restaurant itself or on Facebook as to why it was closed. When I tried to access the website, it was no longer accessible. It's disappointing when you make the extra journey and then find yourself in front of a closed door due to a lack of communication.

We have often spent great birthdays and family celebrations here. Our wedding reception was particularly great. The Lucullus team always ensures a good atmosphere and you feel well looked after. The food is of good quality and the seasonally changing menu means you can constantly discover new dishes.

Went there with 4 people on a Saturday evening at 6 p.m. The atmosphere was like a pub. The service had no experience in serving guests, the food was a failure four times (risotto went back to the kitchen after all four people had tried it), the fries were cold, the breading of the schnitzel was not cooked through, the tomato pesto was oil with herbs a sliced ​​cherry tomato. The risotto was not charged therefore 2 stars for the service. Employees pour their own beer behind the counter, burp and are not particularly interested in the customers. Definitely no longer recommended.

My mother (86) and I (61) had a joint memorial day for our husbands today, November 11th, 2024, which we preferred to celebrate with a nice lunch instead of in the cemetery. My mother made a reservation by phone a week ago. And when we arrived today at the time we ordered, we were the only guests and were shown to a beautifully decorated table. When we asked why it was so empty here, it turned out that there was a misunderstanding on the part of "Lucullus" when making the reservation. But despite having a telephone number, this reservation was not canceled, but we were warmly welcomed by the service lady and the cook and we were allowed to order everything that was on the menu/drinks menu (and it was not an absolutely convenience food restaurant). Music requests were also allowed to be made🥰 It was sooooo great - a whole restaurant with tasty food and wonderful wines just for us.😃 And, we chatted very nicely with the two of them (service and cook) so that we felt like we were with good friends felt like a guest. We were there on October 31st, 2024 for my grandma's birthday. We had a great set table. Very friendly staff. The food was good, I think it was a bit spartan, with little to no salad. Otherwise I can only recommend everything.

Five of us were at Lucullus yesterday. From the reservation to the farewell, a very nice service. All the dishes were delicious, we will definitely come back.

We wanted to celebrate a family celebration with 23 people at Lucullus at the end of October and had a very nice conversation with the boss in mid-September. They wanted to send us an offer immediately. At the beginning of October the offer was still not there, so we asked several times. Emails weren't going out, there was a lot going on at the moment, the boss wasn't in the house... Just some of the explanations from the staff. There was no response from the owner when we requested a call back. At some point, four days before our celebration, a WhatsApp came with a flyer for a buffet. The content discussed in September was not included; the buffet offered was suitable for an evening but not for our lunchtime event. Thank God we had found another location in the meantime. The boss actually accepted our rejection on the phone, but it didn't seem to bother her particularly much. We got the impression that she might even have been a bit intentional about it. Too bad.

Unfortunately no longer recommended... Online map no longer matches. The selection was very limited and much of what was ordered left a lot to be desired. Completely overpriced, but even if you deducted €10 everywhere, that's not justified! Price/performance 0 stars

Unfortunately that was nothing. We always enjoyed staying at Lucullus. Unfortunately there has now been a change of ownership. The menu on the internet doesn't match the one on site (by the way, the old dishes are still on the boards outside). The price-performance ratio is a flat 0. Example: €25 for a schnitzel with fried potatoes without salad or anything else. Gnoccis were out. The knuckles were raw. The suckling pig goulash was not even remotely tender or well done. Pulled pork in the burger was cold. Rump steak was well done, instead of medium as ordered. We had the knuckles returned. In the end they were still charged - including the change of inserts for €2.50. We swapped it for two appetizers and a burger, which didn't even cost nearly as much. However, a new receipt could not be created - no receipt cancellation possible, no knowledge of the cash register system. As an apology there was a beer on the house - which was then charged 😂 We don't know whether to cry or laugh. 12 people - €400 poorer and extremely disappointed. It's a shame that all these mistakes are made by the waitress as there is/was no owner in sight. She had to take the difference in the bill out of her tip. That's sad. Not worth any recommendation. Anyone who takes prizes in the upper league must first learn to play there.

This includes the fact that the management has changed and also the menu, which has become smaller but more focused on the dishes. Menu: As already mentioned, the menu has been reduced and some dishes have been removed. When asked, we were told that the restaurant's new way of thinking should be to use fewer frozen products and to cook really fresh. This also means that less is thrown away and you no longer have to prepare as much food in advance. In my opinion, you can still always find some meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Unfortunately, the homemade waffles for dessert that we loved the first time have also disappeared. Otherwise, the menu is beautifully designed, has a seasonal menu (autumn menu) and there is an extra menu for desserts. Service: On the first day we were welcomed nicely and very friendly by the boss, who also helps with service, and the rest of the service staff. We were served quickly and the food was delivered quickly too. On the second day we also received a very friendly welcome, but everything took a little longer. The reason for this may be that we were in the restaurant at 12 o'clock that day and the place was very busy. There are three people working in service, including the boss, and two in the kitchen. This can occasionally lead to waiting times, but these are not a major concern as an overview of all guests is still maintained and regular requests are made for drinks or requests. Even with special food requests, every effort was made to fulfill them. Even if that means creating an entirely new dish, as was the case on day two. It should also be emphasized how courteous both the boss and the rest of the staff were. When we asked whether it would be possible to get the waffles the next day, everything was done so that the homemade waffles were available on the second day. A big thank you again for that. Eat: As on our previous visits, the food was very tasty and very sufficient. The plates are well filled and everyone was always full. I started with the vegetable Bruscetta and then had the Lucullus Burger on the first day and the Pulled Purk Burger on the second day. The vegetable bruscetta was just very, very tasty. There are three slices of bread which are topped with many different vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers and onions and there is also a rocket salad. All I can say about the Lucullus Burger is that I really enjoy trying it because it is a combination of sweet, spicy and savory. For my part, I found it a bit too sweet, but other guests found it very, very tasty. So a clear recommendation to try it. I liked the pulled purk burger and was simply delicious. The dessert on the first day was warm apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. This dish was only found on the fall menu and is therefore only offered seasonally. Here, too, the point was made in terms of taste. On the second day, my personal highlight was the waffles that were made especially for us. I don't think I need to say anything more about that. To end it all, the food was delicious and we also tried new things and combinations. Conclusion: Once again there were two visits that were very worthwhile. The people who work there are really excited about everything they do and it shows. They always want to bring out the best for their guests, even if it's a completely new dish. It is a clear recommendation from me

We went to the restaurant for lunch today with our parents. Even though we hadn't made a reservation beforehand, we got a nice table by the window. We received a very warm welcome and you could tell straight away that someone was really keen on the job. The food was perfect and the Rostocker Pils was just the right temperature. When we're in town again, we'll definitely stop by again.

You feel comfortable in the restaurant. We were a group of 10 people. The assessments of the food were very mixed: from bad to very good. My meal, a "burger" was very good (!) and plentiful.

Grausam war das Essen Bratkartoffeln zu hell und zu nüchtern (fade) das Schnitzel ist auch nicht wirklich selbst gemacht das ist aus der Tüte gewesen ich arbeite nebenbei im Restaurant und das schon einige Jahre das kriege ich sogar besser hin Leute geht wo anders essen der Preis ist auch sehr überteuert22,50 €und Getränke auch sehr teuer

However, I really want a vegan steak au four, at least in January, preferably always. - and the side salad could be a little bigger than the Mecklenburg understanding of hospitality.

We were at Easter brunch. The first thing you notice is that the staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's not mass processing like it is at brunch elsewhere. Even if the food selection is manageable, it is sufficient, tasty and creative (the boiled eggs looked like rabbits). We were there with our two sons and there was a supervised modern craft program, even our almost eleven-year-old was enthusiastic about it. We really enjoyed it and for such a low brunch price you got so much more. We can highly recommend Lucullus.

I had dinner with my wife last night. I had fried potatoes with sour meat, the fried potatoes were just crumbly and dry, I think they were warmed up leftovers. I didn't know that sour meat had a big bone either. My wife's food wasn't much better Croquettes were dark brown and the cream mushrooms were a bland, indefinable mass. When we left the restaurant we noticed that our clothes smelled like we had been sitting in the kitchen. Conclusion we would not recommend this restaurant.

Es werden verschiedene Zutaten kombiniert für eine reichhaltige Speisekarte, bei der man aber trotzdem davon ausgehen kann, dass alles verbraucht wird und somit frisch ist. Der Service war klasse, sehr aufmerksam und unglaublich gastfreundlich! Dazu die reichhaltigen 1A Speisen, welche nicht nur vom Geschmack überzeugten, sondern auch mit Qualität punkteten. Hier bekommt man für sein Geld noch ein richtig schönes Esserlebnis, weiter so! PS: Die Kinderkarte hat ebenfalls eine gute Auswahl und faire Preise.
