Restaurant Löwenkeller in Heidelberg

Unfortunately it was my last day of vacation in Heidelberg. Otherwise I would have been back the next day. In short - highly recommended, tasty and pleasant

Service very friendly - food 💀cooked unfortunately! The tzatziki that you expect from a Greek restaurant, fresh - spicy - with garlic - none of it - was really not good - it was too expensive for that

Never again. The food was too salty across the board (6 people). The starter platter for 4 people at a price of 45 euros was a disgrace. I deeply regret the 166th for us. The comment that the food was too salty and the meat (pork loin and cordon bleu) was almost tough was not addressed at all. Not a word of regret. Now we know why it was so empty on a Saturday evening.

Turkish food was delicious, the beer is not my thing (Welde). The interior area looked better than the beer garden. Unfortunately the cleanliness left a lot to be desired here. Price/performance ok

Very unfortunate. Went to dinner in the Löwenkeller. For the price asked, the food was subpar and borderline outrageous. A first-class food trap. The meat was very manageable on the plate. Instead of the fries we ordered, rice came. When the fries came they were soaked in ketchup and mayo, which wasn't ordered. The meat tasted like freezer and old. We also noticed this the next day because we felt it. Because we weren't feeling well at all. For me, real hospitality looks different in the service sector! We are all from Heidelberg and we will never enter this shop again because of its really bad food. The innkeeper can be lucky to have such service. The waitress was very nice and came every few minutes to ask if everything was OK, the atmosphere was nice, the drinks were from the bottle. However, very inflexible for special requests, you could have ignored it, but what use is that when the food is like that, you have to worry about having to leave the restaurant with food poisoning. There is definitely still a lot to improve here!

It's a shame actually, we were promised more of it. The food looked better than it tasted. A lot of the fish on the platter was fried, the pulp was like rubber, the dips were okay.

Ambience and service great. We were lucky enough to enjoy live music! What we ordered (the food) wasn't quite enough for 5 stars. Rest was very great. Will definitely come back.

We had dinner in the Löwenkeller with 8 people on October 3rd, 2023 (Tuesday evening). The food was subpar. A tourist trap of the first order. We are all from Heidelberg and we will never enter this shop again because of its really bad food. The service was very nice, the atmosphere was nice, the drinks were OK - but what use is that when the food is subpar.

We ate there today in a group of 8 people, the ambience was a matter of taste but not comfortable, the food: Salads were all dry and boring, the so-called “garlic bread” tasted like nothing, they were baked ready-made toasties, the grilled Greek pepperoni were served with ready-made salad sauce and not with tzaziki, the liver in the salad was almost raw and that Salad had to be returned, the cordon bleu was more like a slice of cardboard and was drowned in fat, the Greek loin with sheep's cheese was borderline and tasted bitter, some of the meat in the loin was raw (raw pork meat is not possible at all!!!!) , the fries were generally bad and taste better at every rest stop, overall definitely not recommended, when billing the waitress asks how much change she should give and is surprised that she doesn't get a tip……. Without words !!!!!

Nice restaurant with good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

I'm surprised that many guests praise the food here. The grill plate came without salad. The meat selection was modest. Both the minced meat and the skewer were undercooked, which shouldn't be the case with pork. The cook had poured a ready-made gravy over it. My wife had fish, which also had a rather modest taste. The German language skills of two of the waitresses were so poor that communication was not possible. Overall a disappointment, I expected much more from the food based on the many positive reviews.

Waren gestern Abend als Paar dort essen. Die Location ist wunderschön geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, Portionen sehr gut und der Preis hält sich in Grenzen. Wir sind freundlich zuvorkommend begrüßt und bedient worden. Auch die Sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber. Wenn wir wizin der Nähe sind kommen wir garantiert wieder vorbei. Macht weiter so 🤗👍

Überwiegend griechische Speisekarte, Lokal mit Aussenbereich

Mein letzter Besuch war vor dem Corona-Lockdown. Die damalige schlechte Bewertung beruhte auf einem Mißgeschick meinerseits; den Inhaber habe ich sofort darüber informiert. Das Lokal ist sehr empfehlenswert, leckere Speisen, sehr freundlicher Service. Alle Besuche immer zu meiner vollen Zufriedenheit.

Truly awesome. It's newly renovated restaurant with beautiful scenery to the walls and the restaurant is very pleasant and it got it's vibe on. We are 3 people who were dined in here and we have chosen to sit outside under the sun. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed it with our dinner. The food was freshly prepared, it's delicious, and the service staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend to visit here.

Es war sauber, nette und freundliche Bedienung, Essen kam schnell und war sehr sehr Frisch zubereitet.

Wir hatten reserviert - unnötig wie sich herausstellte, denn es gab noch mehr als genug Platz. Als wir eintraten, waren nur wenige Tische besetzt. Der Kellner war sehr nett, aber auch sehr leise und zurückhaltend. In der Speisekarte gab es sehr viele Tipp-Ex-Gerichte. Letztlich handelt es sich irgendwie um eine leicht griechische Karte… und die Bratensauce auf nahezu allen Gerichten macht es wohl irgendwie auch deutsch… obwohl Google sagt, es sei mediterran. Wir sind verwirrt. Zum ersten Mal Souvlaki mit Bratensauce… Wir wollen gar nicht ausschweifen. Wir hatten uns das anders vorgestellt. Letztlich war es ok. Aber mehr auch nicht… so verwundern uns die vorangegangenen Rezensionen.

Sehr nettes türkisches/griechisches Restaurant. Gemütliches Ambiente, tolles Essen. Große Auswahl. Netter Service. Dieses Restaurant gibt es schon länger und hat Kultcharakter. Es finden auch Veranstaltungen statt. Der Wirt ist super nett. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Aufmerksames Personal, ruhige Umgebung, frischer Salat mit genau dem richtigen Dressing. Hervorragende Calamaris. Immer wieder einen Besuch wert!

Nette Bedienung, Essen war gut. Speisekarte nicht so, wie man es vom Griechen gewohnt ist. Saubere Tischdecke wäre auch schön gewesen.
