A pearl of a restaurant in Ratzeburg. There is nothing to complain about here and it was very fully booked.

The mussels were very good and for under €20 the portion was enough for two. The service is very friendly :)

Nice varied menu with lunch and monthly specials. There was a special Oktoberfest-themed menu for our visit. The dishes came very quickly and were all very tasty and filling. We can give our clear recommendation.

We were invited for a birthday... Food was well...not really great. The drinks came in bottles, unfortunately the glasses that came with them were dull and dirty. Fries were very hard. Jägerschnitzel had more of a tomato sauce... But the tiramisu was very tasty 😋 Toilets in the basement are rather creepy with masses of spiders in the corners... Cleaning recommended...

Came by spontaneously, didn't have a reservation. Even though it was full, we were able to do it I had to wait a bit to get a place. Super nice service. Very attentive. Food very tasty. Nice, cozy atmosphere.

I was looking forward to ordering a Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes and was bitterly disappointed with the sauce........this was made with tomato paste.......sorry that doesn't work at all.......

Very nice location and very nice and friendly staff. We celebrated a birthday there and we were able to round it off very well in this restaurant. We'd love to come back again.

Fast, friendly service, tasty food at a reasonable price

The food was very good and filling. We had the hamburger padfish and the rower's plate. There are only 2 stars for the service because the parmesan with the pasta was charged separately at 5.50 euros without us ordering it or without it being marked on the menu. Open communication would have been desirable.

Sitting outside is exciting: the traffic ranges from rural (three fat tractors with huge manure tanks, hay deliveries...) to cruising (big AMG with correspondingly important drivers who park directly opposite), in between the lady from the local public order office who spends half the hour with us Parking disc tirelessly enforced. Staff very friendly throughout, everyone! Wide range, which is great for mixed groups: from sour meat to tarte flambée and baked potatoes, a lot of selection of pizza and pasta to a specialty menu that gave us terrific spaghetti with chanterelles. Recommendation.

Unfortunately, you can't agree with the mostly positive reviews... Food is rather mediocre, salad is limp and doesn't look very fresh. You might get full, but unfortunately the restaurant is far from being a 'highlight'...

In visita al paese abbiamo cercato un posto dove mangiare. Siamo entrati in questo locale senza leggere alcuna recensione anche perché non mi è parso che il paese offra molte alternative. Le mie aspettative erano piuttosto basse. Quando poi ho visto il menu con tantissimi piatti le mie aspettative sono ulteriormente calate (diffido dei ristoranti che hanno troppe opzioni). Ed invece mi sono proprio sbagliato. Ho ordinato delle ribs ed erano ottime. Buona birra, servizio cordiale e prezzo ottimo. Insomma una buona soluzione per una sosta.

A great restaurant in the middle of beautiful Ratzeburg. It offers nice places outside and a stylish indoor area that still has a real pub charm. The food is very good and when you order a schnitzel you really get real schnitzel meat and not pressed meat. The price-performance ratio is also unique. The service is also very attentive and not intrusive. Food came to the table quickly and hot too. All in all a very nice restaurant where you can go again and again.

We went out to eat with the family and were very happy that we spontaneously got a table... unfortunately the joy faded extremely quickly. Because we first waited 30 minutes for our drinks and then had to wait over an hour and a half for our food. When the food finally came, half of it was lukewarm and far too little for the price.

We were able to enjoy a very good breakfast in the Lavastein restaurant in the beautiful old town of Ratzeburg. The service was friendly, if a bit cheeky. ;-) But that was okay too. The breakfast was very generous for its price, really sufficient and very tasty. We had a beautiful sunny morning and were allowed to sit outside. Very nice.

Of course we also had to fortify ourselves on our Ratzeburg tour and we chose the lava stone for this purpose. We ate here on May 1st. There was a wide variety of different dishes. Our food was very tasty, we had pizza, pasta with shrimps, burgers, schnitzel, currywurst and salad. The staff was friendly. We would love to eat here again.

As the saying goes, first impressions count and that's exactly what you should realize... Receptionist (if you can call her that) super unfriendly. The waiter for our table was very unfocused. The food was mediocre in terms of taste and portions. Location definitely too loud. A good atmosphere looks different. Conclusion: The guest is no longer a guest there.

Food was very good and the staff was nice and accommodating. The only point deducted is the ambience due to the noise in the restaurant. But this is mainly because the restaurant is always busy and therefore busy. Despite all this, I can definitely recommend it without reservations. Gladly again.

This restaurant in Ratzeburg, which we discovered by chance. Initially after a cultural journey through this place we arrived here. The ambience inside can be seen as very appealing. The service, the staff also seem to be friendly and helpful but not intrusive. And finally, this was also highly recommended for food. The herring and the Quadro Staione pizza were very tasty.

We were overlooked for ordering + also for payment. It wasn't full! Salad: cucumber/tomato pieces too big + the stalk still attached, base only iceberg lettuce, disappointing. Carpaccio is a carelessly prepared joke for the price. A dry bakery roll cut as a side dish for 2 people. Absolutely unprofessional!! The Lord's excuse: Better than nothing, they couldn't bake as quickly. That doesn't interest me as a guest, sorry. A baker also sells fresh baguette bread! Everything we ate just seemed cheap.

Im Rahmen einer Rundfahrt und Besichtigung hatten wir Hunger. Das Lavastein wurde bei Google als Italienisch angezeigt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, bekamen einen Platz und konnten sehr schnell bestellen. Meine Frau hatte den Ruderteller und ich die verschiedenen Nudeln mit Käse überbacken. War mega lecker und mehr als reichlich. Essen, Service und Preis / Leistung perfekt. Volle 10 Punkte von uns

We are in Ratzeburg for a week and of course try out all the restaurants, ice cream parlors and cafés. Of all the restaurants, this was the best so far in terms of food and value for money. When you come through the front door, you're a little surprised at first because you just look at a refrigerator full of drinks and feel like you're in a kebab. But that will be corrected soon. The restaurant is built on 2 levels. The bar area is downstairs, there are raised areas with tables to the right and left. Rustic and cozy furnishings! Our waitress was very nice, there are a lot of regulars there. The menu is very extensive, meat, fish, pasta, pizza, everything is available... And the chef seems to have mastered everything. We had, among other things, the Madagascar platter, which was very tasty. To our surprise, we had Duckstein beer from our hometown! Very tasty and recommended! We'd love to come back!
