Great ambiance. The view of the lake is magnificent. The food is very good, and the service is excellent.

A very nice hotel, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is a bit more unusual, although I'm not talking about schnitzel with cream sauce and fried potatoes. It's not to everyone's taste. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and also accessible for people with walking difficulties.

I can not love more that place, the view is great, the attention is great and even they came with the wrong dish, in less the 5 minutes they fix it. It's not about make it perfect, is about make your best. I highly recommend and is a little bit expensive but is worth

We opted for the 4-course menu with a wine pairing. We were thoroughly satisfied with the food and the portions. We had little to complain about in terms of taste, and our bread was refilled several times. The only drawback was the explanations of the wine journey. Our explanations were quite brief and concise. There were other tables in our immediate vicinity where the explanations were somewhat more detailed. Unfortunately, we had to wait a bit longer for the main course and especially for dessert. We ended up sitting there for a very long time without drinks. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink, let alone pay. This unfortunately greatly diminished the entire visit. Towards the end of our visit to the restaurant, the service deteriorated considerably.

Simply fantastic: everything from the room to the view, the food, and the breakfast. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

Mein Mann hatte den Ziegenkäse im Tempurateig, ich das Carpaccio und Tatar vom Rind in der Vorspeise, zum Hauptgang hatte mein Mann den Lachs an Spargelrisotto und ich das Zweierlei vom Zander. Alle Gerichte haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt und waren aromareich. Das Restaurant ist eben das 1. Haus am Platz. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet ließ kaum einen Wunsch offen. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Seehof Ratzeburg – A View That Promises More Than the Food The restaurant at the Seehof Ratzeburg boasts an enviable location that speaks for itself: an outdoor terrace with a direct view of the lake, which, in good weather, is certainly one of the most beautiful spots in the region. Unfortunately, the scenery remained the only real highlight of the evening. We opted for the dish "Braised Beef Cheeks in Port Wine" (€31), which sadly disappointed us. The sauce, which should have conveyed the aroma of the port wine, was almost tasteless – there was no trace of port wine at all. The cheeks themselves were far too undercooked and therefore tough. On the plate, we found only five white beans, which could questionably be considered "bean salad," and the potato and celery mash seemed more like a mass-produced, not freshly prepared dish. The portion was small, which, considering the price of €31, was even more unsatisfying. The second dish, "Whole Grilled Brook Trout with Wild Broccoli, Cherry Tomatoes, Herbs, and New Potatoes" (€32.50), also left much to be desired. The char wasn't grilled, as the menu promised. Instead, it appeared to have been cooked in a convection oven on a baking sheet. While edible, it wasn't fresh, and we suspected it had been prepared earlier that morning. The plate contained only four cooked cherry tomatoes, five tiny potatoes, and three florets of completely charred broccoli. Again, the portion was rather small and not at all satisfying. For €70 for two people, we expected a bit more than just a nice view. The value for money was definitely not there. The taste was disappointing, the portions were small, and the service was rather indifferent. In conclusion: The Seehof Ratzeburg scores points with its prime location, but the culinary experience falls short of expectations. For the price, we would have expected a much fresher and better-prepared meal. Next time, we'll probably just get an honest fish sandwich, enjoy the view, and save €60.

I can't agree with the criticism I've read here that the portions are manageable. Our meal was very tasty and plentiful. It also included attentive service and a beautiful view of the lake.

Viel erwartet und die Hälfte wurde erfüllt.Kannten wir schon ..,war bis her immer top..Nach einiger Zeit wieder eingekehrt.Vorspeisen vielseitig und Mittagessen/Fisch tot gebraten und Zanderfilet hatte noch sein Rückgrat (Gräten große ..).und Essen lauwarm.Kartoffelrissotto war unterirdisch..,hätte man auch den Vierbeiner vorsetzen können..Das Eis war aus der Packung..Nie wieder

Beautiful view of the lake, friendly service, delicious food

Das Hotel liegt direkt am See und macht schon im Eingangsbereich einen gehobenen stilvollen Eindruck. Wir wurden freundlich begrüsst und es wurde sich entschuldigt,das unser reserviertes Zimmer keinen Seeblick hat. Dafür aber ruhig gelegen und nicht zur Strasse. Das Zimmer war groß,sehr sauber und uns hat es nicht gestört keinen Seeblick zu haben. Die Betten sind eher weich,aber okay. Das Bad groß und auch pikobello sauber. Es gibt Wasser gratis und einen Kaffee-und Teezubereiter. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist großartig. Viel Auswahl,toll arrangiert. Schade ist nur,das die Wurst+ Käse lieblos hingelegt sind....das passt nicht zum Stil des Hauses. Ein bischen Petersilie, kleine Salatblätter....einfach ein bischen Farbe bei den Platten,lässt es schon freundlicher wirken. Das Essen ist hochpreisig,unsere Übernachtung mit Frühstück dagegen preiswert.

Zu meinem Geburtstag wollten wir uns ein richtig gutes Mittagessen in gepflegter Umgebung gönnen. Restaurant Seehof kannten wir schon von früheren Besuchen, waren bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Der Cocktail zu Beginn, die Suppe zum Entree waren wie immer fantastisch. Aber mein Hauptgericht: "Filet vom ji hao lachs Auf pfifferlingsrisotto, pak choi, kirschtomaten und hummerschaum" war sehr schön präsentiert, aber auf der unteren Seite teilweise schwarz verbrannt, der Hummerschaum, wohl in der gleichen Pfanne gemacht, war deshalb einfach nur bitter.

Everything was great. We especially liked the homemade butter.

Great sauna, great view, great lakeside terrace, great rooms. Room prices are absolutely reasonable.

Das Essen war schlecht! Teilweise nur lauwarm, statt Filet war es ein Hüftsteak. Der bestellte Wein wurde trotz erneuter Erinnerung vergessen! Auch gab es keine Soßen zum Schnitzel. Uns wurde stattdessen nur eine abgepackte Portion Ketchup, eine Portion Mayo für 3 Personen serviert! Schade, dass Essen war dort mal exzellent. Vllt ist dort jetzt ein neuer Koch!

Den Geburtstag meiner Frau wollte ich mit einem Mittagsmenü am 19. September 2023 begehen und reservierten einen Tisch für zwei Personen. Da ich ein Freund von Fischsuppen bin, hatte ich diese zu Hause auf der Speisekarte entdeckt und bestellte die tomatisierte Ratzeburger Fischsuppe zu Beginn für stolze 12,50 €. Was dann serviert wurde, war eine Riesenenttäuschung ! Es war eine Gemüsesuppe mit 3 winzigen Lachsstückchen. Keine Spur von Muscheln und Krabben und anderen Fischarten. Ich ließ dieses Machwerk zurückgehen und wartete auf Ersatz, Der kam nach ca. 10 Minuten und nun war viel weißfleischiger Fisch von einer Sorte enthalten, aber wiederum fehlten Krabben und Muscheln. Ich hätte diesen schlimmen Ersatz erneut zurückgeben müssen, sah aber davon ab, um das Menü nicht weiter zu verzögern. Gegenüber liegt die Fischerstube, deren Fischsuppe für 6,50 € ist erstklassig und dem Angebot im Seehof turmhoch überlegen. Ich empfehle Torsten Koch diese zu probieren !° Außerdem würde mich interessieren, nach welchem Rezept Fischsuppe im Seehof herzustellen ist. Da gibt es doch sicher eine Rezeptvorlage. Fazit : Ein misslungenes Geburtstagsmenü für über 90 € !! Die Kalbsleber rosa entsprach den Erwartungen, konnte aber den grottenschlechten Eindruck nicht retten.

Bei Hotel Küche ist man ja immer etwas skeptisch, aber in diesem Fall wirklich sensationell. Wir sind positiv überrascht exzellente Entenbrust. Tolles Rinderfilet. Raffinierte Vorspeise der gebeizte Lachs dazu ein sehr zuvorkommenden Service und einen Traum Blick auf den Küchensee. Mehr geht wirklich nicht und das keine 60 km von Hamburg entfernt, wo man locker 30 % mehr zahlen würde. Ganz toll, echt empfehlenswert.

Vor dem Essen wurden zwei Sorten Brot gereicht, wovon das dunklere solide Zähne unabdingbar machte. Dazu gab es leider keine Butter, sondern geschmacksneutrale Margarine. Zum Hauptgang bestellten wir den Spargel, einmal mit Katen- und einmal mit Metzgerschinken. Letzterer war Pressfleisch auf Discounterniveau und der hauchdünne Katenschinken wurde mutmaßlich auch kurz zuvor aus der Plastikverpackung entnommen. Im Hausflyer steht “So sind die Gerichte, die er (der Küchenchef) auf die Speisekarte gesetzt, geprägt von Respekt vor den Produkten der Region….”. Vielleicht hat das mal gegolten. Für den Schinken ließ sich das heute zumindestens nicht sagen. Dafür war der Spargel lecker, ebenso wie die frisch aufgeschlagene Sauce Hollandaise. Es wäre dem SEEHOF in dieser fantastischer Lage zu wünschen, wenn die Qualität des Essens möglichst bald wieder auf das ausgelobte Niveau kommt.

Good restaurant with a beautiful view. Only the service could be a little more polite. It feels like the employees are forced to serve the guests. To be honest, not all of the waitresses were unfriendly and extremely slow.

Wir waren nun schon zwei Mal Essen und waren zu Weihnachten beim Brunch. Das Essen ist wirklich außerordentlich gut und der Service und das Ambiente lassen keine Wünsche offen. Immer wieder gerne 🤤🤩👍
