Great boss, always happy to come back.

After a long journey in our motorhome, we wanted to stretch our legs a bit and ran into Kuddeldaddeldu. We just wanted to have a quick drink and end the evening. Unfortunately, there were no hot drinks available because the vending machine was broken. The first young man at the counter couldn't understand us, so I guess the father came out of the kitchen and took our order. A Prosecco and a Grog. It's not easy to understand either 🙄. Since we didn't eat anything, we can't comment on it, but what we saw looked pretty good. Then, when we paid, we were surprised 😮: Card payments only accepted for amounts over €30.00. Unfortunately, we didn't have any cash, and that became a problem. After all, he wasn't a snack bar, and decent people always carry money… he ranted angrily. After a rather unfriendly discussion with the owner, we were finally able to pay by card. I also offered to get cash or come back the next day, but that wasn't an option. Too bad, other guests have given good reviews, but I'll never be back (although with so many tourists, it won't be noticeable 🤷🏻‍♂️)!

We received a very friendly welcome and service. The food arrived very quickly. Our pizzas were also delicious. Unfortunately, the entrance door kept being opened because there were also guests outside. It was quite cold in here. We'd be happy to come back anyway.

For me and my wife, our regular place when we are in NHS, and has been for many years, always good quality, top price-performance ratio

Here you can get everything from Italian to Greek. The host family is very friendly. We'd love to come back!

We were there last year and loved it...so this year we went there for dinner on the first evening...we were lucky and got a table for two...but the owner immediately told us, in a not-so-friendly tone, that we had a maximum of 1.5 hours...otherwise, we could only have a drink at the bar or outside (in the rain)...it was quite loud, which wasn't due to the other guests at the tables, but rather to the four people at the bar...presumably regulars and thus "friends" of the owner...like a pub...you have to decide whether you want to be a restaurant or a pub...really lame for a cozy meal. We were actually really looking forward to the meal... we had a gyro plate and liver with gyro... Gyro plate: soggy unsalted fries, and the gyro was also quite lightly seasoned... the coleslaw and tzatziki were excellent, though... the liver with gyro had four whole pieces of gyro under one piece of liver... the waiter just shrugged... the manager later offered to bring another portion of gyro (I think for an extra charge). But since yesterday's was so bland, we declined. The side salad consisted of a few leaves of iceberg lettuce, cucumber, and tomato... rather unpretentious and carelessly "slapped" onto a plate with a spoonful of dressing. Overall, we felt very uncomfortable...eating under time pressure might be possible in a cafeteria, but it's completely unacceptable in a restaurant...just like the rudeness of the manager...a real shame, but we won't be going there again...we'd be too squandering our money on that... We also heard that some other guests were dissatisfied. We generally like to give good reviews and rarely complain...but here we felt the need to!

I can definitely recommend this restaurant. The service is excellent. The food is absolutely delicious. The ambiance is inviting.

We got a table right away without a reservation. The manager was very friendly. I don't understand why others had problems in their reviews. Well, what goes around comes around... The service was friendly and super fast. They always asked if everything was to our satisfaction. I can't complain about the food. My pizza was crispy and very well-topped. Anyone who complains about that or the lack of ambiance should choose their own 5-star restaurants. (Snobbys) All in all, we thought it was good.

I used to like getting takeout... Now the food barely tastes good anymore, and it's not right... Instead of rice, I get soggy, old fries... I don't get anything anymore because the quality has gone downhill. On top of that, I only pay with cash...

We were here for the first time, actually only because our first choice was closed that day, and this restaurant was on our way. It was a good location right below the dike. When we were choosing our seats, the owner directed us to a sunny spot, even though we would have preferred to sit in the shade, and there was still room there. Nevertheless, we stayed and ordered our food. This, by the way, was only mediocre and isn't the main part of my review. Later on, two other guests were also treated disrespectfully and were directed to tables inside, even though there was plenty of space outside, simply because the table wasn't occupied by enough people. The owner didn't care if people left the restaurant afterward without ordering. Even an elderly couple (he has a walking disability) were supposed to eat inside, but they were asked to leave the restaurant simply because the two of them occupied a table for four. Incidentally, the table remained empty for the entire duration of our visit. The way this "good" man treats his guests is beyond human dignity. We and some of the other guests sitting around agreed that we definitely wouldn't return. Perhaps, at the end of the day, having satisfied guests is more important than €50 more in our wallets.

Very nice restaurant. We managed to get a seat despite the rain and without a reservation. The schnitzel and gyros were delicious. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Takeaway pizza? You'll have to wait outside, says the boss. After I waited outside for thirty minutes, the waiter brought me the pizzas and addressed me informally. When I asked him if we went to school together and held out my debit card, he told me they only accepted cash payments. I didn't get a receipt. The pizza was also terrible. Maybe I should try the other pizzerias in town.

We don't recommend it!!! You have to give it at least one star. Absolute chaos in the place, where no one knows what the other is doing. The worst thing we found was the boy of about 10 (seems to be part of the place somehow) who was totally annoying and kept coming to the tables asking if he could clear things and reaching over my plate to collect the bowls of sauce and tzatziki. We also noticed that the little boy outside was preparing the cutlery and was touching all the knives and forks by the edges and tines with his fingers. Very hygienic... I hadn't even finished my meal when a waiter suddenly tried to take my plate away. Complaints about the food were met with a shrug. But the icing on the cake was the boss, who yelled like a barker in the place. Maybe they should give him a voucher for an anti-aggression course. The food and atmosphere aren't worth another visit in our opinion.

It wasn't possible to make a reservation in advance by phone, so the four of us went on a whim. When ordering, we were given incorrect information about a dish, instead of asking the kitchen if we hadn't heard it. One beer arrived warm – not nice, but acceptable. A boy (about 10 years old), who was apparently helping out, kept coming to the table and wanted to clear the table – whatever it was – (you couldn't eat in peace; he showed up every three minutes). What was a child doing there anyway, and why was he allowed to touch the fork tines with his fingers while preparing cutlery? Not very appetizing. The boss is very loud, and as a result, we didn't feel at ease. It was our first and last time there (we live here). Since two of us come from the industry ourselves, we know there are other ways to do things.

Pizza at Kuddeldaddeldu is a must for any holiday in Neuharlingersiel. It's super delicious 😌 We always feel at home here and would love to come back 😁

Delicious as always, prices are reasonable, we get along well with the owner and have always been able to get a table. Unfortunately, we only accept cash. Ideal if you live next door.

A very friendly host who takes time for his guests. Delicious food. Short wait times for food. You might have to wait outside for a table. But it's worth it! If the chef says "just two minutes," the table will be free. Warm, friendly, and family-friendly. Thumbs up

The portions were very small for the money. The souvlaki plate didn't even have any gyro in it. And the souvlaki itself was completely overcooked and tough. Personally, I wouldn't go back.

We've eaten here several times in the last few weeks and were always treated very kindly. Even without a reservation, we were able to get a good seat, even during peak times (yes, it's a bit louder then—but this place is full!) (Waiting time can be bridged at the bar ;)). We chose a variety of dishes, and everything tasted good and we were full! The price/performance ratio is completely acceptable! The chef and his team are incredibly friendly and very attentive! We visited the restaurant for the first time today. The food was amazing; it couldn't have been better. Very friendly owners. We're from the Munich area and were on vacation in Neuharlingersiel. I can't rate the food/service because it didn't happen. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I immediately left. The noise level was so high that even a train station concourse was nothing compared to it. I've never experienced a restaurant like this before where I left because of the noise.

Now a piece of home, certainly not everyone likes it, but tastes are different, I am satisfied

Das Essen war sehr lecker und wenn man lesen kann steht auch auf der Homepage "nur Barzahlung". Hier gibt es keinen Fisch aber das kann man der Speisekarte entnehmen. Wenn man es mit anderen Restaurants vergleicht kann man hier gut und zu normalen Preisen essen. Das ist in Neuharlingersiel nicht immer einfach. Also gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis und sehr nettes Personal und ein cooler Chef.

We were there with six people over Whitsun. Despite limited space and without a reservation, the owner managed to get us a table. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The staff is very friendly. The food was all delicious and the portions were generous, and the value for money was right. We felt so comfortable there that we went back the next day. Next time we're in town, we'll definitely stop by again. My only criticism is that it's very loud in the restaurant, but that's not the owner's fault.

Today I actually ate the worst pizza in 20 years, service, zero, friendliness zero, pizza was yeast dough, (cardboard with topping), with the prices I should have guessed it, for the price you get level

Nette Räumlichkeiten. Wir hatten uns auf ein mediteranes Fleischgericht gefreut. Der Kellner teilte uns mit das es heute nur Pizzen gäbe. Okay, schade, dann haben wir Pizza bestellt. Als wir die Pizza fast aufgegessen hatten werden 3 Tische weiter 2 Damen und ein Herr vom "Chef" (der sich übrigens schon die ganze Zeit übertrieben freundlich durch das Restaurant bewegte) bedient und komplett durch die Karte beraten. Wir haben bezahlt und den Kellner gefragt warum dieser Tisch doch auch andere Dinge als nur Pizza bestellen konnten. Er wusste es nicht. und sagte er sei hier nur angestellt. Er schickte uns dann den Chef der sagte dass auch dieser Tisch nur Pizza bekommt. Beim Rausgehen habe ich die 3 angesprochen, und ja, es gab alles Mögliche. Daraufhin stürmte der Chef an den Tisch und forderte uns schreiend auf das Lokal sofort zu verlassen. Keine Ahnung was mit dem Mann los ist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nicht wieder.

Nice setting. We were looking forward to a Mediterranean meat dish. The waiter told us they only had pizzas today. Okay, too bad, so we ordered pizza. When we'd almost finished the pizza, two women and a man three tables away were served by the "boss" (who, by the way, had been moving around the restaurant in an overly friendly manner the whole time) and given us a complete menu. We paid and asked the waiter why this table could order things other than pizza. He didn't know and said he was just an employee there. He then sent us the boss, who said this table also only got pizza. As we were leaving, I spoke to the three of them, and yes, they had all kinds of things. The boss then stormed to the table and shouted at us to leave the restaurant immediately. I have no idea what's wrong with that man. We definitely won't be coming back.

We were thrilled from the start. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to a suitable seat by the chef. The staff didn't take long to bring out the menu. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff treated the guests very well. We look forward to next year, and to Kuddeldaddeldu. The Hamburgers.

We went on vacation to Neuheilingersiehl for the first time last week and then ate at Kuddeldaddeldu. Very quick and nice staff even when it's full, fast service and very good food and price-performance ratio. You are immediately greeted as if you have known each other for years, so we will come back next year. Unfortunately a star is deducted because the restaurant is very small and with the crowds you sometimes have to wait, not long. That's complaining at a high level.

Nice restaurant but don't expect too much from the food. Atmosphere is also good. And what you should not forget is to pay by debit card because here you can only pay in cash, debit card is not possible.

Reservation was not possible. You can sit inside or outside. The outdoor spaces are covered by a balcony of the hotel on the upper floor. The food was very tasty, the plates were large. Price-performance ratio is totally right, there's nothing to complain about. The service was great. All the employees were very nice and accommodating. When a cocktail was ordered that contained mint, it was first clarified whether new fresh mint was available, otherwise the cocktail would not be made. The beer in stock is delicious. Ambience was pleasant. The toilets clean. The restaurant is not too big, but very cozy.

It is one of the best restaurants I have ever tried in Northern Germany. The portion was warm and filled us up quite a bit (unfortunately this is no longer the standard). The waiters were nice and also responded to special requests.

We had pizza (on the recommendation of guests) - super tasty, top 👍👍 (again thanks to the kitchen) - but the other dishes (gyros) also looked very tasty - Ambience is always a matter of taste (it's okay) - Service attentive (but potential for improvement) - the soul of the restaurant is the boss (+ family (including employees)) so once again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my highest respect, we came as no name and left as friends 🥰 (my favorite ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ nothing played, embellished, simply honest and delicious)

Delicious food and drinks. Funny boss and nice employees. We spontaneously went by and were able to come down an hour later and celebrate my aunt's birthday. We were directly in the hotel next door. The staff was friendly, I waited a long time for the main course, we received the starter five minutes before the main course. We also waited a very long time for the drinks and had to order them several times. You were served by several waiters, you had the impression that one didn't know what the other was doing. The food was OK. At the beginning we were informed by the waiter that the grill was broken and we couldn't order some of the dishes. By chance we found out that card payment was not possible; a guest at the table next door even had to drive to the bank to withdraw money. Campsite visitors were served more quickly. I won't make another visit. Customers from the campsite are demonstrably given preferential treatment.

Das Essen ist lecker und reichlich. Preis-Leistung passt. Der Wirt ist sehr freundlich. Er ist ein echter Gastwirt. 95% aller Gastwirtschaften und Restaurants können sich bei diesem Gastwirt und seinem Lokal ein riesen Stück abschauen. Die Gäste stehen Schlange damit sie Plätze bekommen und das tun sie gerne. Seit wir hier waren, verstehen wir das auch. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Food mediocre, but ok. Unfortunately, we were only informed during the payment process that “only cash” was possible. Which I actually find to be very retrograde in 2024. Across Europe - and beyond - card payments are mandatory. Only gastronomy in Germany shines as a negative example here.

Didn't get a chance to eat. Several tables of four in the outside area were occupied by two people. We, two people, had been waiting at a table for a while. Now a table became free, but we weren't allowed to sit there because it was a table for four. Even though there were only two people sitting there before, we weren't allowed to sit there. If two more people had sat down we wouldn't have a problem with it.

Typical “more appearance than reality”. It is very questionable whether any food here does not come from the freezer! The holidaymaker doesn't seem to be so demanding since things are booming in the high season. The service was attentive but not always professional: see the boss weighing up distance and proximity to female customers. A matter of taste, as are the dishes. Then prefer more expensive fish.

I ate there twice. The PROBLEM, I'm solo and had the feeling that the boss, who alone decides on the allocation of tables, didn't like the idea of ​​a single person occupying one or, at best, two tables. Even the very fake friendliness is of no use to me. On the third visit I was asked to sit at the counter...that didn't work at all and I left. The food is commensurate with the price. Not bad, but not a highlight either. There are much better places in the NHS where you are also welcome as a single guest.

A long wait until the food came. Gyros was too dry, too hard. Fries too dry. Tzaziki far too little.

We had dinner with four people. We all ordered the grill plate. Three times with fries and once with rice. This was the worst grilled dish I have eaten. Everything tasted equally spicy. The chicken breast fillet was completely dry. Fries could have been a few more. Everything was very carelessly presented on the plate. There was a very thick slice of onion on top and the side salad was a disgrace. A handful of iceberg lettuce, a few pieces of cucumber and grated carrots drowned in dressing. The staff was overly friendly. When it comes to eating, it's no use if the boss says "I'm very happy" a hundred times. Strangely, no card payment possible. Once and never again.

Well, kind of disappointing. The location in the camping area is great and we were looking forward to Greek specialties. Unfortunately, what we got was rather sobering. On the grill plate, the bifteki was not only very small but also over-seasoned with paprika and chili. The gyro was okay, but nothing more. The prices are first class. Two people were then 75 euros without dessert! As a starter we shared a saganaki. 3 drinks in total! The actually obligatory ouzo wasn't offered either. It's a shame actually, we would have definitely visited more often in three weeks of vacation.
