Restaurant Kreuzhof in Lenzkirch

There were four of us and we wanted to go to another restaurant at 1:15 p.m. but it was already closed at 1 p.m. We looked for open restaurants and came across the two brothers by chance, luckily. By the time we got there it was 1:50 p.m. Nevertheless, we were served in a friendly but unobtrusive manner and with a lot of patience, even though we were a little late. The atmosphere is very nice, you immediately feel at home. We ordered 2 soups in advance, 2 salads, 2 vegetable stir-fries and 2 different meat dishes. Everything was to our complete satisfaction, there was nothing to criticize, on the contrary. The brothers are somewhat reserved in their manner, absolutely unobtrusive but NOT unfriendly. It has more of an elegant style so as not to disturb the guest. If you want hustle and bustle, you should go to a beer tent or a station bar. You go to the Kreuzhof restaurant if you want to have a quiet, pleasant, tasty meal at moderate prices. At the end we started talking, we talked about food culture and “quality vs. cheap food”. To our surprise, we were given 4 small samples of a cake that we didn't know. Guys, please try this Marlenka cake instead of a usual run of the mill cake that you eat out of habit. Try alternative dishes from other cultures, you will be surprised at how delicious they can be. We were more than satisfied and, in retrospect, we are glad that the other restaurant was only open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and that we were able to get to know this great restaurant with the two brothers and the chef. Unfortunately we come from a different place but if we take a trip to this area again, a visit will be a must. Thank you for the pleasant stay and the delicious food + dessert 🙏🏻

Good food, good different selection and a plus point for the visual presentation of the menu. So everyone can see immediately what meat etc is available, even if they don't speak German. We had beef brisket with horseradish sauce and boiled potatoes. Yes, exactly boiled potatoes, no deep fryer stuff or packet powder.! It was very tasty! The service is friendly and helpful. Thank you

Since we were at the Kreuzhof campsite, we of course also visited the restaurant on site. We sat outside with a nice view of the bell house. The schnitzel with fries we ordered were brought out after a short time, but the fries weren't quite cooked. The beer from the brewery next door was delicious and €1 cheaper than in the brewery itself. Overall, however, the prices were high. Before the holiday we had looked at the menu online, but it was no longer available and the prices had also been raised. We therefore decided not to visit again.

I have been taking holidays in the Black Forest for many years, I must say that I have never had such bad food. The schnitzel I ate looked like a very poor quality spinach strudel as well. The waiter really always annoyed. Too bad because the place is nice.

Very simple convenience food at overpriced prices. Fries way too salty, old mayonnaise. I can do this better with frozen products at home.

Very tasty beer brewed right next door. I particularly liked the dark. When the temperatures are warm, you can sit in the beer garden and watch the hustle and bustle of the campsite guests. There is a nice view of the attractive reception building of the aforementioned campsite. The food was quite good and the price was reasonable. The bacon from Bauern Schnitzel in particular deserves a mention. I would definitely recommend, let's see what else Lenzkirch has to offer.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with great food, good prices and friendly staff. I will definitely recommend it. And the ice cream is the best.

Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Essen war sehr lecker und vom Preis auch sehr gut. Sind spät angereist aber trotz der baldiger Schließung trotzdem essen bekommen. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, werden wir definitiv erneut vorbei kommen!

A very nice restaurant right on the campsite. The beer is freshly tapped from the brewery next door. The service was sensational so fast. The food was also very tasty.

Friendly and welcoming restaurant attached to a busy campsite. Service was good and food well prepared freshly cooked and overall a good night out. Slight downside was the noise which was probably due to Germany playing live in the Euros! Well worth a visit for a robust night out.

I chose the attached campsite because there was a brewery inn right in front. So far so good, it was Monday and the brewery inn was closed. A little behind there was another restaurant, “Kreuzhof”. The experience was quite disappointing for me. Restaurant prices, a side salad for example ~ €7.50 and it was delivered medium snack quality... about 5 minutes after ordering. The staff was mainly in the TV room (European Football Championship) or using a cell phone. I wonder how the good reviews come about, did I have a “black” day? According to the menu, a lot of emphasis is placed on being present in social networks, perhaps that counts more than quality in the kitchen and service these days!? For me it's definitely not worth a second visit.

We spontaneously went there for a meal after a hike....schnitzel for everyone :-) we can recommend it without reservation, the mixed salad beforehand was really good. Great attentive service. We'd love to come back.

Service top. Very friendly and accommodating. However, the burger is not really recommended. A tiny piece of meat with pickled vegetables for just under EUR 17. Sorry, the price/performance isn't right. My husband's beef was probably very tasty.

I ate here with my wife and we loved it. Ambience is cozy, clean and well-kept. The service is as you would expect. Even the chef personally comes to the table to ask if everything is OK. No matter what we have eaten so far, from schnitzel to rump steak, the meat was of very good quality. The side dishes are also tasty. We particularly liked the Malenka cake.

Only recommended! The food is simply delicious, well seasoned, fresh, with good ingredients and lovingly prepared. The tenants are attentive, unconventional, friendly and hospitable. The guest rooms are so tastefully decorated that we always feel very comfortable. We like to come by and always with our dogs.

I would even add points for service if it were possible. Super friendly and accommodating. The food (roast venison, dumplings and red cabbage + sliced ​​beef with spaetzle) was super tender, well seasoned and a decent portion. The nightcaps are home-produced, the winter beer is very tasty...we'll definitely be back.

Wir haben hier am 05.12.2023 gegessen. Schönes Ambiente. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Schnitzel super zart und sehr lecker. Der Service war super und der anschließende Gruß aus der Küche war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Wir können das Restaurant bestens weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

geht so... wir sassen draussen. Stühle sind sehr unbequem. Tischdecke sah aus als läge sie schon 3 Tage. Essen schmeckte uns so lala. Service wirkte müde und genervt. Parkplatz ausreichend und direkt vor der Tür.

Wagyu-Burger war okay, geschmacklich ein "normaler" Burger. Veganes "Gemüseschnitzel" waren frittierte Gemüsestückchen (recht fettig). Süßkartoffel Pommes waren okay. Haben schon schlechter, aber auch schon besser gegessen in dieser Preisklasse.

Es hat einfach alles gepasst. Das Personal ist unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend. Der Koch selbst kam raus zu uns an den Tisch. Es war ein super Erlebnis mit sehr leckerem Essen. Kann ich 100% empfehlen.

Preis und Leistung stimmt nicht für Tiefkühlkost. Personal zum Teil sehr unfreundlich. Nicht unbedingt sauber, Dekoration (Fell zum sitzen und auf Fensterbank) sehr unhygienisch.

Wir hatten reserviert und wollten uns einfach nur einen schönen Abend machen. Doch wir haben die Rechnung ohne den Wirt „Victor“ gemacht. Er vertritt seine eigene Philosophie, die da lautet; iss was in der Karte steht oder geh. Der Gast ist nicht Gast, sondern nur eine Zahlmaschine. Wünsche vom Gast werden nicht akzeptiert. Eine kohlenhydratfreie Beilagenänderung war nicht möglich . Ein absolutes No Go. Ich hätte das Gericht komplett so nehmen sollen und den Salat extra. Es ging einfach kein Weg rein. Er hat uns erklärt, da hat er seine eigene Philosophie. Und wem es nicht passt darf das Lokal verlassen. Das haben wir auch getan. Sind das die Gastronomen der Zukunft? Na dann prost Mahlzeit 😢 Leider muss ich überhaupt einen Punkt geben, sonst geht keine Bewertung. Letztendlich war es eine Fügung für uns. Wir sind nebenan in den Brauereigasthof. Beste Entscheidung ever!!!

Food is of decent quality. The portions are not too big considering it’s a restaurant in the German Black Forest. I was thinking that it would be a pleasant experience since 26 people gave this place a 5 star review. How bizarre. Music is very annoying, it is played too loud and obnoxious commercial music from the top 100 or something. I wish to eat with relaxing music and not a 4 to the floor type music. The food is okay, as mentioned above the portions are quite small, the prices are similar to other places. Beer is served lukewarm. What motivated me to write this review is the staff. They are quite unfriendly. The staff is not professional. The customer is always right and deserves to be treated with respect. You call to ask if there is a place available for two: they say it is busy, yet the terrace was empty, inside was the staff. Just be honest and say people can come whenever they desire and inform them the kitchen closes. Don’t pretend to be busy, don’t lie to people. When choosing to pay with a card and deciding not to tip because of the above mentioned issues it would be polite to not throw the bill at the customer. Being on a holiday I preferred to not point this out. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

War heute mit der Familie, insgesamt 5 Erwachsene und 3 Kindern dort, Spielecke für Kinder, Hund mitbringen kein Problem und das Essen war auch sehr gut und reichlich Wir kommen gerne n wieder

Bei unserem ersten Besuch hat es schon länger gedauert bis wir die Bestellung aufgeben konnten. Auf deutlichen Blickkontakt zur Bedienung wurde nicht reagier. Bananensplit am Sonntag Nachmittag war nicht möglich. Keine Bananen in der Küche. Wir haben es dann am Abend nochmals versucht. So viele leere Wege des Bedienpersonals habe ich selten gesehen. Leider war die Wartezeit bis sich jemand um uns kümmern wollte so lang, dass wir entschieden haben an einem anderen Ort zu Abend zu essen. Sorry, an so einer Lage (Campingplatz voll) darf das nicht passieren. Herrschaften das muss besser werden.

Das Essen war ok , schade dass die typischen Schwarzwälder Spezialitäten fehlen. Um 21 Uhr wurden wir rausgeworfen!!! Hätten gerne nochmals ein Bier 🍺 getrunken , schade!! Selbstständig sein ist eben kein zuckerschlecken.

Eine sehr nette Atmosphäre, freundliches Personal, sehr gutes Essen (große Portionen). Für kleinere Kinder gibt es eine Spielecke wo sie sich verweilen können und für die größeren Kinder bietet sich an, den Spielplatz angrenzend an den Campingplatz zu besuchen. Cool fände ich es, wenn man anstatt 2 große Schnitzel, die Auswahl hätte 1 Schnitzel und einen kleinen Salat als Menü zu bekommen.

We went there for the opening and we had a great experience. The food was absolutely fantastic, the service as well and the atmosphere just perfect. They had a live band playing covers and all the guests were singing along. It was like a family dinner. The beer is just amazing, you must try "Zwickel" if you go there. Highly recommended, we can't thank enough for that gorgeous night and hope to get back soon.

Das Restaurant ist sehr willkommen. Ich fühlte mich wohl. Ich aß Steinpilzsuppe und gebratenen Reis mit Seeteufel und Grapefruit-Hummer-Bisquesauce. Köstlich....
