Restaurant Kebaphaus in Neuss

I ate there two evenings. The food was very good, with generous portions. It's a shame I wasn't offered the full menu on the first evening.

The service is exceptional. Delicious food with a great view of the Rhine.

It could have been a lovely evening, but we've never had such an unfriendly and rude waiter. And we've never been told that we were "annoying" guests because the waiter had to come back to the table to take our order. Even when we asked him about it, it didn't get any better! It's a shame, though; the food was delicious and the setting was befitting a brewery. We won't be coming back, and we can't recommend it.

We were guests at a wedding at the venue. The celebration was very nice; we were allowed to bring our own cakes, but dinner had to be ordered from the boathouse caterer, which was fine. I saw a number 40 scattered on the floor, and my two-year-old daughter fished an old, half-eaten cookie or something similar out of the flowerpot. The service could have been a little more open, friendly, and thoughtful in places. For the kids, the space behind the house on the Erft River and the small playground in front of the house were a nice change of pace.

The food is tasty. I just don't understand why they offer "too good to go" when you never get anything. I've ordered five times and each time it was cancelled 20 minutes before I was due to pick it up. I even went there once for nothing because I ordered a bowl; everything went through and then the place closed. The bowls taste good, there's nothing to say about that, but it would be nice if you worked on your service or didn't offer the "too good to goo" service!! You look forward to dinner and each time it gets cancelled but you can order as usual - I think it's a rip-off!
