Absolutely delicious food! You can tell it's made with love. The prices are perfectly reasonable. The wait is a bit long, but the wonderful atmosphere makes up for it...especially if you love Japan as much as I do. I'll definitely be back! 🍣

We were here for the first time today and we're absolutely thrilled! This place not only boasts a huge selection of incredibly delicious food, but also a beautiful, cozy atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The food was simply outstanding – we've truly never eaten such good ramen! A huge compliment also goes to the staff: super friendly, attentive, and always right there when needed. You feel completely taken care of, almost as if your every wish is being anticipated. All in all, a beautiful little restaurant where you can relax and enjoy a fantastic meal. We will definitely be back!

We are not sushi experts and were invited (for pickup). We enjoyed it very much, and our hosts (who have more sushi experience) were very impressed and surprised to find such excellent sushi in Magdeburg.

Food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. Highly recommended! It might be difficult for larger groups. There are fixed time slots that must be reserved. Reservations are absolutely necessary. Many vegetarian options are available.

The food was absolutely delicious, I have no complaints there. There were four of us, but the wait time was really awful; we waited 50 minutes for our food.

There's a huge selection of dishes, but the waiters give you plenty of time to look through the menu. That doesn't mean you're forgotten or that the waiters are slow. Quite the opposite. They were very attentive and gave us excellent advice. The food looked fantastic and was incredibly delicious!

There were eight of us, and we ordered a wide variety of dishes, from ramen and udon to sushi. I had the Japanese curry with duck, which was delicious. The crispy fried shrimp were served as an appetizer. Very tasty, authentic food; I'd gladly come again.

We were really looking forward to the food and weren't disappointed. Everything was so delicious. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance, well... lots of decorations, a bit too cluttered. But that's a matter of taste. We loved it, great food. We'll be back.

The place is quite small; you'd be lucky if you had 2-3 people at a table, but more people should order. The food was incredibly delicious, I've rarely had such good food. We had the sushi boat and chicken curry once.

A restaurant that's very close to Japanese, especially if you've been to Japan before or are familiar with the food. For everyone else, it will be a pleasant and new dining experience, or they won't notice the differences. The food is very good quality, and the prices are fair for a German restaurant. Ordering and service are prompt. Reservations for the evening are recommended.

I had the fancy roll "I love Eel" for €16.90 and found it quite small. The hosomaki were also really small. The avocado hosomaki tasted good, but the tuna hosomaki was mushy on the palate (I ordered another because there wasn't much sushi). Unfortunately, the value for money isn't good for me, and the taste was only okay (the "I love Eel" roll tasted quite good). Some of the stools inside are plastic (based on the ambiance). This was my second visit. I'll be looking for another restaurant soon. What a shame.

I went there yesterday night with my boyfriend, and it was already our second visit — which says a lot! Kazoku Izakaya is truly one of the best Asian spots in town. The atmosphere, both inside and outside, is immersive, stylish, and makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Japan. The food is simply fantastic — fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried exceeded expectations. On top of that, the service is super friendly, attentive, and precise, which makes the whole experience even better. If you love Asian food, this place is an absolute must in Magdeburg. We’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

We spontaneously got a seat inside. Unfortunately, the table was very sticky. The cutlery tray provided wasn't complete, and napkins were only available upon request from the very friendly staff. The food, however, made up for it. We had two drinks, two appetizers, and two main courses. Everything was super fresh and incredibly delicious. I haven't had such good Asian or Japanese food anywhere in Maryland. I might have tried a dessert, but the hard benches and chairs without backs prevented us from staying longer. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely top-notch!

Honestly pleasantly surprised by the dishes by the service really beautiful atmosphere magnificent decor but above all delicious really super good and we drank the Japanese beer the palt delicious and especially the dessert the Japanese specialty a really killer a matcha green tea cream really a treat everything was super good and very fresh really I highly recommend and the double espresso which arrives at the end magnificent. We had an aperitif starter palt dessert coffee and frankly the price more than affordable.

The Kazoku restaurant easily beat our favorite 👏🏻 After our visit yesterday, we went back today. The sushi was fresh and high quality. It's unbelievable that people complain in the reviews that it's smaller than elsewhere. If the rolls aren't stretched with rice, that's a sign of quality. You're fully satisfied afterwards and don't get a stomach ache because all the rice swells up in your stomach 🥴 The food arrived after 25-30 minutes. The value for money is good. The selection of drinks is quite varied; I particularly liked the homemade drinks. The staff is friendly and when we asked, they gave us more information about sushi preparation. Simply delicious food and at a good price🙏🏻 Absolute recommendation 🫶🏻❤️

Great Japanese restaurant in Magdeburg – but please don't order via Uber Eats! We ordered €360 worth of food here for a large group. Each dish was about €3 more expensive via Uber Eats – that's about €60 extra, plus a €15 tip. Unfortunately, our delivery arrived completely mixed up. The sauces were spilling out of the bike courier's pocket, which naturally ruins the quality of high-quality Japanese cuisine like sushi, ramen, or bowls. Our conclusion: Kazoku Izakaya 👌 is highly recommended locally – great quality, authentic flavor, and a stylish ambiance. However, we won't be ordering from here again via Uber Eats 🚫.

I've eaten there several times now, and every order has tasted delicious. The staff is friendly and very quick. The decor is particularly beautiful, combining traditional elements with anime and manga—there's something new to admire every time. The only suggestion for improvement: vegan ramen would be great... :)

When I arrived, it was a bit late and I wasn't sure what I wanted, but friendly advice helped me decide on chrysanthemum tea, miso soup, and a sushi salmon bowl. The tea alone is excellent and truly relaxing. The food is very high quality and perfectly seasoned. The chefs here know their stuff. Absolutely worth a visit!

A culinary experience of the highest caliber. The takoyaki and chicken udon soups were incredibly delicious—perfectly balanced in flavor. The curry udon with tofu impressed with a deep, aromatic broth and subtle spiciness. Even the soup was harmoniously seasoned and showed attention to detail. A very lovingly decorated restaurant. The menus are very beautiful and look handmade. The food was delicious and the service attentive. Everything was well-prepared and delicious.

I actually like going there; I've had ramen, tonkatsu curry, bento boxes, and lots of tapas there. The food is good, and the location is great. We spontaneously went there today with my 6-year-old, but I forgot my wallet. I thought about ordering something via Uber and told the employee that, and it was fine. But then the problem arose: they don't offer drinks online, so I asked for two glasses of tap water for us. No, that wouldn't work; they have to earn money, and it's more expensive. Okay, so it costs something, double? 4 cents per liter? So they decided to forgo the 40 euros... I probably would have gotten more if they'd accommodated us. I was also in the mood for takoyaki, but we left without food, and I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

We spontaneously went there for lunch today and were absolutely thrilled. The restaurant has a cool interior and exudes a real Japanese flair. The food was also incredibly delicious; I had takoyaki and tonkotsu ramen, and my girlfriend had yakitori and hot teriyaki chicken sushi. But the highlight for us was the service. The waiters were super nice to us, even after I spilled my Coke all over the table. The waitress took every opportunity to joke around with our little daughter and had won her heart after just five minutes. She also fed our little one blueberries so we could eat a little more relaxed. She also gave us a few slices of cucumber for our little one as a farewell gift, all free of charge. We've never experienced anything like it before; next time we're in the area, we'll definitely be back!

Sehr nettes personal, Ambiente einfach aber sauber. Das erste mal dort gewesen, Udonnudeln mit Ente gegessen. Es war sehr gut vom Geschmack. Darauf hin wollten wir das zweite mal was anderes ausprobieren. Reis mit Rindfleisch, Sojabohnen Kimchi. Das Essen war nicht heiß, und das Ei leider fast roh. Leider bin ich nicht der Mensch, der was zurück gehen läßt, aber Experimente werde ich dort nicht mehr machen. Der Koch konnte das eigentlich nicht übersetzen, was mich enttäuscht hat.

This is my third time at this restaurant. The first few times, everything was wonderful: the food was delicious, and the service was good. Unfortunately, on my third visit, I was proven wrong: Drinks were forgotten, dessert was out of stock, and the sushi I ordered was "filled" with a main ingredient that didn't taste good at all. Since I had no choice on my plate, I had to endure it. I've passed on the review. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed and won't be coming back.

Well worked out menu, good food and friendly staff. I was new in town and a friend recommended this place. We went in group of 3 we all had something we didn’t eaten yet. All of us liked it. The outdoor sitting in summer is definitely a plus point. It’s exactly located in hasselbach. Easy accessible to tram and Sbahn.

Absolutely fantastic! I couldn't possibly recommend this place more. The food is wonderful! Everything was prepared perfectly and was also quite quick to be served. Prices are very reasonable and the homemade "lemonade"s are delicious. I had a Ginger and Goji and it was great. The atmosphere is lovely. Quite cosy and could be considered cramped indoors however it was rather busy and we were still able to chat at a quiet volume easily without being interrupted or interrupting anyone.

I can really recommend everyone to have eaten here! It is by far the best Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten at! 1. The ambience! It's really reminiscent of the small restaurants from Japan and feels absolutely authentic, as if you were in Japan. 2. Service! We were served very quickly by the staff really nice and took the time to explain everything when we had questions about the dishes. A little tip: if you don't know how to introduce the dishes, you can see pictures of the respective dishes on their online menu. 3. EAT! If you want more Japanese food than just sushi, this is the place for you. (Admittedly the sushi plates the others had looked really cool and were praised to the heavens). Personally, I can only speak about the takoyaki, okonomiyaki, udon noodle soup, and fried udon. But man oh man, they were good and so beautifully prepared 😍 a feast for all the senses. At the end we were very full and very happy. And despite being full, we just had to try the desserts and I can only say one thing, the pandankeki (homemade steamed rice coconut cakes served warm) blew us away, as did the macha teramisu... A dream. Truly a dream! 4th prize! We both had a starter, a main course, a dessert and drinks for €55...for the quality on offer it's a really unbeatable price. In a standard Italian restaurant you pay more for significantly less. So in terms of price-performance, these are really great. So all in all, this store impressed us across the board! We will definitely become regular guests, try out the menu (it was difficult to decide on what to eat because everything sounded so delicious) and bring our friends with us. A small restaurant with very friendly service! The food was fantastic. There is a difference between good food and very good food. The latter applies here. Delicious, authentic, balanced and the price-performance ratio is very customer-friendly. Every bite can be enjoyed. It's a shame that we don't live in Magdeburg but are just visiting. Otherwise it could become a favorite restaurant. Thank you to the service and the kitchen for this lovely experience.

Absolute recommendation! The ambience was beautiful, the staff was very nice and the food was delicious. I had the Tonkotsu Ramen and I can only recommend it, just like the Sakura (Roku Gin Cocktail). My companion had a matcha latte which she found very tasty and a selection of sushi where the sashimi was an absolute highlight. Absolutely recommend the store really top.
