Food was great, the pizza was very well stocked and the waiter was very personable. Unfortunately the toilets weren't very clean and there was a strong smell of urine.

The worst Italian food I ever eaten. Pasta was overcooked, low quality ingredients. Everything tasted like ready-made food from the supermarket. The portion was big so if you just want to eat a lot you can come here

Went to dinner in Italy this evening, we had 2 pasta dishes and a pizza, pizza was exactly how a pizza should be, crispy and super tasty. The two pasta dishes were also on point, firm to the bite, the prawns were juicy and not fried to death, the three dishes were extremely tasty, at fair prices. Definitely coming back.

Food and service very good. Only recommended. But please make a reservation, otherwise you have little chance of finding a place.

Our favorite Italian in Munich. Very good food, friendly service and at a good price. The zuppa romana is absolutely outstanding.

I ended up here by chance, to eat some carbs before the Munich marathon. I found a traditional and welcoming place, excellent service and really tasty dishes. A very good ragout. All Italians and it shows!!

A feeling of harmony. We already know the people and we talk to each other. The food is inexpensive but good. You can do something good for yourself in Munich. The restaurant is well attended. We say thank you!

Top, food...pizza, pasta, dessert....good for years, these stupid reviews..., there are always people who have something to complain about...but the nonsense is actually negligible...

I've been here a few time and the food was quite good, only issue was the server that was not so friendly and even ask for a tip at the end. There was 9 of us n we gave a 10% tip despite his bad attitude and impatience. I will still come back for the food, but hope he change his attitude next time. We may be asians, but we are still customers. So don't give stupid excuses that you were busy and could not attend to us, when u were just setting other tables and looking busy when it wasnt even peak dining hrs. For a restaurant to be really welcoming, get your priorities right and take care of the customers 1st.

We like Italy for its pizza. But the other Italian dishes are also really good. It is pleasing that the prices here are still moderate.

The food here was very disappointing! I have rarely eaten worse. The lasagne was simply a warm frozen lasagne and the pizza tasted like Dr. Oetker almost fresher. The service was miserable. The table had already been cleared even though my daughter was still eating. Something like that is simply not acceptable! Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant!

Super friendly, long-established Italian. Highly recommended daily menu: I've never had so many chanterelles on my noodles. And the fact that there were two more people in the end was a creative and really nice solution. An absolute discovery after actually living just a few blocks away for 12 years...

I went with co workers to try a new restaurant that one of them recommended. There were a lot of great options, but I went with the carbonara pasta and it was probably one of the best if not the best carbonaras I have ever had. I also ordered a beer and my meal was less than 20 euros. It was inexpensive in my opinion and I enjoyed my meal. I definitely recommend this place!

A real Italian in Munich since 1970 in the same management as the old staff. Classics on the menu and daily menu depending on the season. Perfect service and a family atmosphere, even though it has been full every day for 45 years. Keep it up!!!!!

Looking for a restaurant at short notice on July 12th at 9:30 p.m. Italy was very close. It was our luck to stop there. The service, the food and the ambience were great. The next evening we enjoyed a nightcap there. If we come to Munich again, Italy will be our destination!

Sat down for 20min and no service. Also took the wrong order. Are they racist???

I have known Italy for several decades now. This was the hottest Italian restaurant in Schwabing in the 70s. Then nostalgic feelings arise.

I was at this restaurant recently and I'm sorry to say it was a disappointment. When I ordered a pizza, I was looking forward to a freshly made, delicious pizza. Instead I was served a frozen pizza that was hardly better than what you can buy in a supermarket for a few euros. The dough was tough and tasteless, the toppings seemed bland and artificial. For the price the restaurant charges, I definitely expected more. The pizza also didn't have the typical freshness and flavor that you would expect from a well-made, freshly baked pizza. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant if you are looking for real, fresh pizza. There are many other places where you can get much better quality for your money.

Staff extremely unfriendly. I got two beers at the bar to have a quick drink with a friend at the small tables facing the street. In the meantime, one of the waiters sat down and smoked next to my friend who was already waiting at the table outside. When I asked to please stand up so I could sit down (table with 2 chairs), I was insulted in Italian and he left. It doesn't work at all!!!

The servers have a lot of experience but they are not very pleasant. They know how to strongly remind the French not to forget to tip. I have been coming there regularly for 6 years and unfortunately I see no progress in the attitude of the servers, they have been the same for many years.

Very full, my reservation wasn't taken into account, but we still got a table. Unfortunately, my pizza wasn't particularly good, the dough wasn't cooked enough for me. My friend's noodles were good

This is my son's favorite restaurant as he loves shellfish pasta (pongole). The atmosphere of the shop is calm, but the space is lively and bright. Although there were some young people, there were many older couples and ladies, which I thought was nice☺️. It was very delicious. I will go again 😊

Pizza was terrible, worse than from the freezer. Drinks were delivered swiftly, but often only a subset of what was ordered.

The meal looks like pork or beef, I asked the waiter,he said beef but it’s liver! When we asked for bill, and pay for credit card,he asked if we want to add tip together,but we didn’t know the meaning,then he became rude, he got angry. Die Pizza ist ne Fertigpizza und sehr klein. Für 12€ pro Pizza geht das garnicht! Rest schmeckt ganz ok.

Etwas aus der Zeit gefallen - was aber überhaupt nicht schlimm ist. Es macht immer super viel Spaß, sehr freundlicher und guter Service und die Minestrone ist einfach überragend 🙂

Klassischer Italiener mit sehr gutem Essen (außer der Pizza, die ist nichts besonderes). Nette Ambiente, der Service ist gut, manche Mitarbeiter sind jedoch nicht sehr herzlich. Hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Ein spontaner Besuch hat die Crew nicht durcheinander gebracht, obwohl es sehr voll im Restaurant war, und die Schnelligkeit und Freundlchkeit sucht seinesgleichen. Das Essen war auch SUPER.... Also zusammengefasst, BESSER geht nicht.

Die Margherita Pizza hatte keine Tomatensoße (bzw. Sehr sehr wenig), war also im Grunde nur Teig und Käse, was absolut unverständlich ist. Der Käse war auch noch ziemlich geschmacklos, also alles in allem sehr enttäuschend...

Angenehmer Service, gutes Essen, angemessener Preis! Seit seehr langer Zeit in der selben Hand – das sagt doch einiges aus! 😊👍

Das Personal war von Anfang an unhöflich, sodass mein Freund und ich uns den ganzen Aufenthalt unwohl gefühlt haben. Außerdem haben wir alleine um unsere Getränke am Anfang zu bestellen trotz Augenkontakt mit dem Kellner ca. 15min gewartet, obwohl dieser nichts zu tun hatte und uns schon länger bemerkte. Das Essen war aber lecker. Ich empfehle, jedoch das Restaurant nicht weiter.

Schon ein Steak beim Typischem italiener probiert? Wenn nicht dann is hier der perfekte platz dafür. Super Medium steak.

Wir gehen regelmäßig ins Italy. Die Speisen sind hervorragend - ich wähle fast immer ein Gericht von der Angebotstafel. Die Herren vom Service sind ausgesucht freundlich. Man merkt, dass diese Traditionsgaststätte unter sehr guter Leitung steht.

Sehr schönes italienisches Restaurant, mit Flair. Die Qualität des Essens ist gut bis sehr gut, die Preise für die Leopoldstraße aussergewöhnlich günstig.

Italien in München Dementsprechend ist was los: parlare, mangiare, bevere. Bunt gemischtes Publikum aus Familien, Paaren Geschäftsessen. Alteingesessener Münchener Italiener. Wer's ruhig will, ist hier falsch. Auf jeden Fall reservieren. Die Speisekarte bietet einiges, das Essen und die Weine sind gut, die Preise ok. Der Service ist aufmerksam und auf Zack. Drei Sterne für das Essen +Pasta mit Trüffel)😁, mir kann man es schwer recht machen und ich koche einfach nicht mit Sahne 😉 - aber ich komme definitiv gerne wieder.

Sehr gute Küche, sowohl die linguine vongole als auch die gegrillte Leber waren wunderbar. Sehr netter Service.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe vor Ort. Die Reservierung klappte telefonisch sehr gut und ab der vereinbarten Zeit stand auch alles bereit. Das Ambiente wirkt zwar ein bisschen Altbacken, aber das macht der Service mit seiner Professionalität und Fröhlichkeit wieder gut. Das Essen war super lecker, die Portionen waren ordentlich und der Preis war dafür sehr fair. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und sind gesättigt wieder los gezogen. Sehr gute, italienische Hausmannskost. Immer rappelvoll. Wunderbare originale Atmosphäre mit tollen Kellnern. Mal ein Beispiel für die Kundenfreundlichkeit: eine kleine (aber immer noch ziemlich große) Nudelportion kostet statt 13 sieben Euro. Habe ich sonst noch nie gesehen. Geschmacklich wirklich gut.

Ein klassischer Italiener mit stets ansprechender Abendkarte. Bei den den Bedienungen merkt man einfach, dass sie eingespielt sind und ihren Job schon sehr lange machen. Das Italy gehört für mich einfach zu Schwabing.
