Beautiful hotel, very centrally located. The harbor is within sight. It's popular with cruise ship passengers, as one of the piers is directly across the street.

We were looking forward to the St. Martin's Day goose. But the goose would have been a long time coming given the negative experience. The friendly service, or rather the friendliness of the service, was the only highlight for us. Atmosphere: austere hospital cafeteria without any winter decorations. Not even candlelight or a pine branch on the table. At the next table, people were playing cards very loudly, and behind us, many people were jostling for a self-service buffet. It was like being on a cruise ship. We hadn't been sitting for 20 minutes when the goose was already served. To our surprise, we actually wanted to order an appetizer. Well, no, then. The goose tasted okay, but it should have been cooked for at least another 30 minutes – the meat didn't come off the bone easily and was a bit tough in parts. Crispy skin: None. The dumplings, red cabbage, chestnuts, and sauce were tasty, but they quickly got cold, as there are no warming containers in the hotel cafeteria. Fachinger water costs €9.50 per bottle, and a large beer costs €7. It's disproportionate. There were only two desserts on the menu, neither of which appealed to us. Pineapple for Christmas instead of some cinnamon dessert. Conclusion: a soulless, efficiency-driven cafeteria with no heart. We were there for the last time.

Was invited to the celebration (birthday) at the HOTEL STEIGENBERGER CONTI HANSA in Kiel with a total of 22 people in one of the halls. We were welcomed with a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail. Then a soup was served beforehand and then a buffet was set up. What was on offer was really first class. There is something for absolutely every taste. Cold starters, warm main courses and various desserts. The afternoon cake buffet from the serving trolley was also very tasty. The service was very nice and attentive. That's why I'm giving you a smooth 5***** today!

A very good evening at this restaurant. The service is incredibly friendly! The food is very well-seasoned. I don't understand the negative reviews. I recommend this restaurant, although the prices are rather high.

So we were very satisfied. The service was good and we couldn't find anything negative about the food. Of course I cook differently at home but that's why the food was still good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. And the price/performance ratio was completely okay.

I ordered the zander fillet - well, I've eaten better. And I expect better fish dishes, especially in the north. Nicely prepared, but didn't make the taste any better. Service was super nice.

It’s a shame that all meat and fish is cooked from frozen. The service is great from waiters but the food from frozen is not acceptable at the so called four star hotel. There is hardly anyone in the restaurants and it clearly shows why. I expected better, but expectations are not always met

An average to good dinner in an upscale but empty restaurant with only one other table occupied. Even for a Sunday evening, there weren't enough guests and it was correspondingly cool. Very polite staff, who didn't always have an eye on the two tables, which can't just be excused with reluctance. However, information about ships and courts was available upon request. As a welcome from the house there were two types of bread with seasoned salt and oil, the bruschetta starter was very good, the pan fish as the main course was good, but there was not enough mustard sauce and the (sauteed) leaf spinach was completely raw and unseasoned. Conclusion: average to good but you should expect more in a house of this class.

Die Martinsgans ist eine wunderbar runde Sache. Service, Fleisch, Maronen, Rotkraut und Knödel sind hervoragend, einzig der Rotwein passt nicht ideal zum Menü.

Wir waren 2 mal hier. Beim ersten Besuch vor ca. 4 Jahren waren wir sehr zufrieden. Diesmal hatten wir das Gefühl dass das Essen schlechter und die Preise höher waren. Der Zander war nicht mehr knusprig, weil die Soße über die Zanderhaut gegossen wurde. Der Salzgehalt war auch nicht optimal. Das original Wiener Schnitzel kam sehr lieblos garniert an unseren Platz und erinnerte in der Aufmachung eher an ein Kneipenessen.

We celebrated our wedding at the Haus des Sports, and it was simply perfect! The food was incredibly delicious, the service was always attentive, warm, and super friendly. The ambiance also invited us to linger and created a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!
