Restaurant im Haus des Sports in Kiel

I'll leave my very good review from last year here because I hope it was an outlier... I was there a few days ago as a member of a technical interest group with several people that meets here periodically and, as always, I was really looking forward to the otherwise always very good food. I ordered a breaded pork schnitzel with mushrooms in mild pepper cream with fried potatoes and salad. As always, the schnitzel was very good and very tasty. Unfortunately, this time the fried potatoes were absolutely tasteless and looked like they had been prepared in a deep fryer or in a lot of vegetable oil. In addition, the typical bacon shine was missing, which not only adds to the visual enjoyment. A few dry bacon cracklings were then sprinkled on the plate. If you're going to sprinkle bacon and onions on top afterwards, the fried potatoes should be tossed in bacon fat for flavor. If people just shrug their shoulders at (very friendly) comments when paying, the evening will at least end with questions. I really hope for my enjoyment that it was just an outlier and that next time the food reflects the peace and relaxation of the kitchen team. --------------------------- - - - - - 2024: I've always had delicious food. We celebrated our Christmas party there for the first time and it was probably the last time. We were kicked out at 5:30 p.m. because there was supposed to be another event afterwards. However, this was not communicated at all when we booked and that was the end of it for us. The drinks have been a long time coming and I can only advise against eating kale. When you asked for another sausage, they actually put half a sausage on your plate. Really stingy and unfriendly.

Everyone gets the kale meal first. Only those who don't eat kale will be forgotten at the event. Bad service

We celebrated the wedding of our son and daughter-in-law in the large hall in the summer of 2024. Ms. Glesmann and Mr. Holst and her team gave us a wonderful evening. The buffet was beautifully prepared and tasted very good. Everything was very fresh and tasty, and there was also a good selection for vegetarians and vegans. The service was friendly and very attentive throughout the entire evening. From planning to execution, everything was great! Thank you very much, we had an unforgettable evening.

Disaster! Had dinner there with 10 people after Christmas. Food was served about 1.5 hours after ordering, but dessert was not possible because the next guests were already waiting outside. We had 30 minutes to enjoy our food, after which we were essentially forced to leave the premises in a very unfriendly manner by the staff. Disastrous management, the food was bland, the service was unfriendly and overwhelmed. Never again House of Sports

We were at the Haus des Sports with our football club for a Christmas party with around 130 people. Since we had a fantastic celebration there until 6 a.m. last year, we were happy that we could celebrate carefree again this year. This time, however, the evening was a complete ups and down and I would like to advise against celebrating a large and exuberant event there. I will explain the reasons below. The following should be said about the key data: We paid 70 euros per person in advance for the meal, which was offered as a buffet and included soft drinks, beer and wine. The price is okay considering the current economic situation. The drinks flat rate included there was valid until 1:30 a.m. and the event was supposed to end at 2:00 a.m. this time. First of all I would like to highlight the good food. There could have been a little more for the main courses, as very few people were able to have a second course, as a lot of the first course was already empty and was not brought back. I don't actually know that from buffet meals. When it came to drinks, it was a shame that if you wanted to order something other than the included drinks from the flat rate, some drinks on the menu weren't available (e.g. Lillet and others). Regarding the organization on site: The staff tried hard, but was still visibly overwhelmed, which meant that you had to wait a long time for your drinks. In addition, they weren't really friendly and were always making jokes about their colleagues and the guests. However, these sayings were clearly heard. Having worked in the catering industry for a long time, I know how incredibly stressful evenings like this can be, but no matter what happened, I always kept my composure and was friendly towards the guests. Because bad advertising is also advertising, which is reflected in reviews like this one. And no restaurateur can want that. There were people in our group who vomited, which somehow happens at every big celebration. Of course that's not great, but if people don't spit on site, they spit at home. The rest of the large group didn't notice anything and everyone celebrated peacefully and relaxed. However, when the service staff noticed that people had to spit, they wanted to end the event early at 1:00 a.m., which led to a massive lack of understanding for us. As already mentioned, the majority didn't notice anything and simply celebrated in a relaxed manner. I could understand such a decision if there had been a mass brawl or if other people had misbehaved while drunk towards the service staff or other guests. But that wasn't even remotely the case. Even if such incidents had occurred, the people concerned could have simply been expelled from the event and the rest could have celebrated until the originally scheduled time for the 70 euros they had paid. After many discussions with the staff, we were able to finish the party until 2:00 a.m. But ultimately you didn't feel welcome and ended the evening in a sour mood. The Haus des Sports is certainly suitable for seminars and smaller events that are not intended to go all the way to the open end. I cannot recommend the location for a Christmas party, wedding or big birthday.

They are a bowling club and we meet up to have fun and eat something that everyone likes very much. The staff is very friendly and we look forward to our next visit.

Had salad with falafel. Salad and dressing were OK but falafel were soggy and far too little of everything, value for money was poor.

Very nice and friendly staff. The conference location was really ok, distances were well maintained and the table divider was well implemented, which was not disruptive. For lunch there are always three dishes to choose from, which are served nicely and clearly Taste top. criticism point; Fruit was in short supply at the seminar

Cult bowling alley in Kiel, it's definitely cozy here! Delicious food at a good price and great service make the evening perfect. Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

Wir waren dieses Jahr Pfingsten mit der Firma da und es war sehr toll, das essen super. Am Samstag hatten wir unsere weihnachtsfeier und haben uns ein Buffet bestellt. Was soll ich sagen es war hervorragend das Essen war mehr als lecker und alle waren begeistert. Ich wurde sogar nochmal angerufen und wurde gefragt ob wir Geschirr brauchen. Solche Fürsorge erlebt man selten. Das Rewe Team bedankt sich vom ganzen herzen für dieses tolle Essen. Für unsere nächste Feier seid ihr unsere Nummer 1.

Noch immer ein GEHEIMTIPP egal ob Mittagessen Familienfeier oder festlicher Anlass Hier ist man wirklich sehr gut aufgehoben Es wird stets frisch und freundlich aufgetischt Die Auswahl ist reichhaltig Und das Preis Leistung Niveau stimmt hier wirklich. Sehr nette neue Inhaber Die einen bei der Ausrichtung von Festen gerne mit tollen Ideen unterstützen. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Habe meine Hochzeit da gefeiert 1994, es war wunderschön ein Traum !Das Personal, war immer aufmerksam, wenn die Gäste etwas brauchten, das Essen war auch Super! Immer gerne wieder! Macht weiter so!

Veranstalten seit Jahren mit unserer Heavy-Metal-Community unsere Feiern dort in tollem Rahmen. Die aktuellen Pächter haben, was die Küche angeht wirklich neue Maßstäbe gesetzt! Absolut empfehlenswert! Freuen uns auf's nächste Mal!
