We had the pleasure of enjoying an unforgettable stay at the Hotel Schloss Burgellern in Schesslitz and can only warmly recommend it. As soon as we entered the castle, we were impressed by the elegant atmosphere and historical architecture. The hotel has been lovingly restored and offers a perfect mix of tradition and modern comfort. We booked a package with half board for three days and were completely satisfied. The room was not only spacious and stylishly furnished, but also very comfortable and quiet, ideal for a restful night. The quality of the food is particularly noteworthy: dinner was a real highlight. The team really outdid themselves with fresh, local ingredients and creative dishes. The breakfast buffet was also varied and rich, so that you could start the day perfectly. Fried eggs were decorated with artistic flowers made from vegetable parts. An eye-catcher. The service throughout the hotel was exceptionally friendly, courteous and attentive. You felt welcome at all times and attention was paid to every detail. The hotel's quiet location was particularly pleasant, ensuring a relaxing stay without having to forego amenities. Our dog had been through weeks of stressful moving and were looking for a quiet place to relax. We found just that at this resort. A castle, surrounded by a natural park, a room with a park view, greeted by a chorus of birds. The breakfast had everything your heart could desire, with excellent specialties, and you still had the option to have something prepared in the kitchen. We ate the daily menu one evening a week and were pleasantly surprised every night. The quality of a Michelin-starred restaurant The staff were warm and welcoming and anticipated our every wish. The hotel is highly recommended. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire team, including the kitchen and service.

Für den 25. Kennenlerntag haben wir dieses Restaurant ausgesucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, und das Essen war sensationell. Wir können dieses Restaurant nur bestens weiterempfehlen.

A very select restaurant near Bamberg with a very atmospheric, rustic and elegant ambiance. The restaurant at Burgellern Castle is definitely not your average restaurant, but a place for special and memorable occasions, steeped in history. From the atmospheric grounds of the castle to the rooms, which are somewhat reminiscent of a Franconian Versailles. The menu is varied and there's something for every taste. I particularly liked the selection of Franconian specialties, so that even the culinary experience always has a connection to the region and its history. The dishes are expertly prepared, the product quality is excellent, and the service was very attentive, creating an almost family-like atmosphere and providing excellent advice on any questions we had. The beer menu with its own specialties is also particularly worth mentioning. There is also a wide selection of brandies and spirits, some of which are produced in-house. The price-performance ratio is a bit high, but it's absolutely justified given the quality of the products and the meticulous and tasteful work of the chef. Definitely a great place for special occasions and celebrations, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, nicht abgehoben, es macht dort einfach Spaß - vielen Dank schon hier! Die Karte: nicht groß, aber doch fällt die Entscheidung schwer. Die Qualität: 1A; der Salat frisch, Rinderstreifen und Scampis auf den Punkt gegart, drei Dressings zur Auswahl (Emofehlung: das Hausdressing). Wildgulasch mit Breelknoedeln sehr gut (stundenlang geschmort…), Wiener Schnitzel wie ich es schon lange nicht mehr hatte - geklärte Butter, luftige Pannade (nicht, was viele falsch machen, festgedrückt), Fleisch dünn und zart geklopft - so muss es sein (nur die -Glaubensfrage! - Sardelle hat „gefehlt“). Danke an den Koch - und Chef: tu alles um ihn zu behalten!

Wir durften während unseres Aufenthalts in Franken zweimal im Restaurant des Schlosses Burgellern speisen und haben es wahrlich genossen. Sowohl die gediegene Einrichtung, die entspannte Atmosphäre mit höchst angenehmer Hintergrundmusik, als auch die aufmerksame, zugewandte Bedienung rundeten den kulinarischen Genuss ab. Frisch zubereitete Speisen, jahreszeitlich angeglichen und aus der Region. Dazu eine gute Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten. Die Preise empfinde ich, dem gesamten Bild entsprechend, angemessen, eher günstig. Vielen Dank für diesen Genuss

The food is very good, there is no discussion about it. Great, sophisticated dishes, also very varied. But there is a problem with the service. The waitress ran back and forth a lot, but somehow it wasn't easy to grab hold of. Was really nice and tried hard, maybe overwhelmed. Overall, we waited too long for the food and the timing in the kitchen wasn't right either. Therefore no 5 points. Still good and we would come back.

Our waiter (Justin) was polite, efficient & friendly. The food was delicious 😋.

Nachdem wir erst kürzlich dort sehr gut gegessen haben, sind wir Ostern wieder dort eingekehrt. Leider hat sich der 1. Eindruck nicht bestätigt. Das Essen (Lammfilet) zu € 29,00 war nicht einmal eine Kinderportion. Ein Süppchen schlägt mit € 9,00 zu Buche und 0,2 l Wein € 9,20. Der Service war in Ordnung, freundlich und fix. Ich glaube nicht, dass wir noch mal hingehen werden. Für mich stimmt das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht.

Zweimal Abendessen und Frühstück. Wir waren mit 11 Personen, Tisch war schon vorbereitet. Das Essen war gut und frisch. Auf Kinder wurde viel Rücksicht genommen. Gute Weinkarte und gute Beratung.

I ended up at the Schloss Burgellern restaurant more or less by chance and I have to say that it was a very good decision. The hotel and restaurant are beautifully located in a castle park. The staff was really friendly and engaging. The menu is well sorted and offers something to suit every taste (including Franconian dishes). The salad I ordered was one of the best I've had so far. I was given good advice when choosing drinks. I will definitely come back and recommend the restaurant.

Als Hotelgäste hatten wir ein drei-Gänge-Verwöhn-Arrangement gebucht. Hauptgang hätte entweder Lachs oder Schweinefilet sein sollen. Das wollten wir beides nicht, also haben wir höflich gefragt, ob wir nicht auch etwas von der reichhaltigen Auswahl an derzeitigen Pfifferlings Gerichten haben könnten. Das ließ man zu und es war ein Glückstreffer, das auf der Haut kross gebratene Saiblings Filet mit reichlich vielen, kleinen, sauber geputzten Pfifferlingen war sehr gut, lediglich die gekochten Kartoffeln waren recht geschmacksarm. Die Weinkarte bietet eine gute Auswahl der fränkischen Spitzenerzeuger, aber auch internationale Weine sind vorhanden. Sehr faire Kalkulation der Weine, sehr freundlicher Service.

Was there for the 3rd time now. This time just to experience a quick refreshment. Well lifted us. The price of a small cup of coffee with milk was also a bit high. The beer, on the other hand, is cheap.
