Restaurant im Möbelhaus in Hennef (Sieg)

It's okay to go there every now and then if you don't have high expectations. The food isn't amazing, but it fills you up, and if it's not busy, the service is quick. The service is attentive and friendly, and they even gave me a Julischka afterwards. Sometimes that's all you need.

We were there for lunch with the announced maximum of 11 people. There were no other guests! We waited an hour!!!!!! for the food, and there were definitely not 11 different dishes to prepare! I ordered a burger (€16.50), which was an absolute disaster! Firstly, it was lukewarm, rather cold, one mini lettuce leaf, almost no sauce, the goat cheese wasn't melty (because it was almost cold, the cheese also became hard), and the worst part: The patty was overcooked!!!! Tough, dry, simply awful - frozen patty - the bun, too, wasn't crispy, and all for the absolutely exorbitant price of an unbelievable €16.50. Every burger at the chip shop is a thousand times better. The other dishes too: Spaghetti with shrimp - tasteless, barely seasoned, and lukewarm - Salmon with rice - lukewarm Where did this chef learn???? What is he doing with this hotel kitchen? An absolute no-go for a hotel restaurant! I will never eat here again; there are some absolutely fantastic restaurants in Hennef where the food is fantastic. Oh, by the way... Maybe they should remove the cobwebs at eye level in the hallway to the restrooms!!!! One star for everything is way too much.

The ambiance is a large room with a long family table where you sit together with others. The cola in the glass tastes like it's weeks old. The pizza dough was raw in the middle, and I found three hairs on the pizza. Very unfriendly service.

We ordered yesterday, Christmas Day, and half an hour later received a call saying the order hadn't arrived. They barely understood why and suggested we could pick it up ourselves. We live in Eitorf without a car, and on Christmas Day, that's just rude. This was our first time ordering because we wanted to try it out, and it will be our last. Very disappointing.

If a small village pub is closed from Sunday evening to Friday evening, how does the beer taste that's been sitting on the tap for five days? And how does the wine taste if the opened bottle has been refrigerated for five days?
