Restaurant Ilios in München

Sehr lecker, gute Portion, vor und nach dem Essen gab es einen Ouzo aufs Haus

Gefunden haben wir das Lokal eigentlich nur deshalb, weil wir in der Ecke eine Location gesucht haben, wo Mittagstisch angeboten wird. Günstige Mittagskarte, gute Portionen, gut geschmeckt hat es auch noch. Was will man mehr? Der Service sehr freundlich. Wartezeit war perfekt. Zu den gebratenen Calamari hätte ich mir eine würzige Sauce/Mayo gewünscht, aber das ist das einzige was ich jetzt bemängeln würde. Auch das Gyros in Metaxasauce mit Salat war gut. Zum Salat gab es noch kleine gemischte Semmeln. Die Einrichtung mit dem vielen Holz wirkt sehr gemütlich. Toiletten sauber. Nach diesem ersten Besuch folgten dann viele weitere Besuche und ich muss sagen, wir sind nie enttäuscht gewesen. Egal ob Fleisch, Fisch oder Seafood, alles war auf den Punkt gebraten. Geschmacklich war es manchmal wow, manchmal auch „nur“ gut. Besonders empfehlen würde ich die wechselnden Tagessuppen und Tagesgerichte! Die typischen Grillteller, Gyros, Suflaki etc. sind sehr groß und das erschlägt mich doch sehr, daher bestelle ich am liebsten Fisch, Calamari, Oktopus, Garnelen oder etwas von der Tageskarte, was dann etwas aus der Reihe der typisch-griechischen Gerichte tanzt. Die "normalen" Gerichte sind wirklich nicht schlecht, vielleicht auch besser als der Durchschnitt, richtig herausstechen tun hier aber die Specials. Wer Interesse hat kann sich auch auf Facebook mal ein paar Fotos ansehen. Einige Gerichte bekommt man nur auf Vorbestellung. Es gibt auch einen großen Biergarten mit viel Schatten.

Spontanbesuch Dank dem Service-Team auch ohne Reservierung und gut besuchten Restaurant ohne Wartezeit. Das gediegene, aber nicht kitschige Ambiente, der freundliche und aufmerksame Service, die mäßig laute Gesprächsatmosphäre und die überdurchschnittlich gute Qualität der Speisen ... sollte eigentlich nicht gelobt werden, damit das Ilios das bleibt, was es ist. Ein hervorragender "Grieche" für die Wohnbevölkerung, die großteils zu Fuß kommt, da sich das Parkplatzgebot auf die Laternenparkplätze begrenzt. Und das ist gut so. Denn, Hand aufs Herz, mit einem Begrüßungs-Ouzo und einem Abschieds-Metaxa bliebe sonst nur Wasser zum guten Essen, um sich hinters Steuer zu setzen. In diesem Sinne ein Danke an das Ilios-Team für einen rundum schönen Abend. Sehr empfehlenswert.

„Absolut top! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wir waren jetzt schon mehrmals hier und sind jedes Mal begeistert. Das Essen ist einfach überragend – besonders das Gyros und der Grillteller waren perfekt zubereitet, super saftig und richtig gut gewürzt. Auch die Beilagen und das Zaziki sind frisch und sehr lecker. Der Service ist wirklich klasse – sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Man wird herzlich empfangen und gut bedient, ohne dass es aufdringlich wirkt. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und typisch griechisch, genau richtig für einen entspannten Abend. Preis-Leistung passt ebenfalls absolut.

Wunderschöne Atmosphäre und spitzen Service

Das Essen ist megalecker und das Personal super freundlich. Es war ein wunderbarer Abend mit meinen Jungs.

Leider wird der Salat in der Küche mit Dressing gefertigt.

Ilios Restaurant offers solid, good cuisine, though nothing exceptional. Prices are average for a Greek restaurant. Contrary to expectations, the atmosphere isn't explicitly Greek. Nevertheless, the staff is friendly. Ilios is worth a visit for good food at a fair price.

One of the hands down BEST experiences of my 2 weeks in Germany. The food was some of the best Greek food I have ever had, and the vibes were through the roof. Staff was friendly and made conversation with us. This is a must go to place when staying in Munich.

What an experience! At the Ilios restaurant, I immediately felt like I was in Greece. The feta was divine, the pita bread was divine, and the tzatziki was so fresh and delicious. The portions are generous – the lamb, the gyros, and the souvlaki were simply heavenly. Every bite took me back to my trip to Greece. A place full of flavor and emotion – highly recommended! The Aperol was refreshing and perfectly prepared, the beer ice-cold and of the highest quality. I was particularly impressed by the anise liqueur (ouzo) – aromatic, intense, yet pleasantly smooth. A wonderful selection of drinks perfectly rounded off the experience! Thank you, we'll be back soon.

Honestly our best experience in Munich. Absolutely great food and a nice change from boiled and or breaded fried meat. Highly recommend if you want something different while in Germany. Definitely we will be back here next Oktoberfest. Thank you to the staff and family cooking this excellent food!

We eat here often and have always been satisfied

I've been at Restaurant Ilios during a business trip since I was looking at something different than the usual restaurants available in the area; I was lucky to get the last seat (outside area is very nice but it was rainy). It took quite a bit to get the food served (the restaurant was packed) but the wait was totally worth it; squids were tender and delicious, souvlaki and gyros were perfectly cooked while side salad along with tzatziki was truly a treat). Very good price/quality ratio, especially considering average costs in the area; I recommend this restaurant and I will go back for sure (hoping that Munich weather won't be mean next time).

For a plate of paros, I found three shrimp rings (very dry) a bit too much. The fries were homemade, so I got a thumbs up for that, but they were also very limited. However, there was a mountain of gyros on the plate, so I was quite full. The cheaper gyro plate would have been sufficient. The outdoor area could certainly have been more thoughtfully designed. A note on the menu stating that you can only pay by card for €50 or more would also be nice (although I don't think that's appropriate anymore!)!

A nice Greek restaurant whose service has improved over the years. They even talk to their guests these days ;-). The food is quite good. Unfortunately, the Franziskaner/Spaten beer doesn't go down as smoothly. In the summer, the restaurant has a lovely, shady beer garden. Keep up the good work!

Superb Greek quisine and 1st class service, too. I keep dining here every time I am visiting Munich. Dishes are authentic, well seasoned and tasty. Portions are generous. I can keep going on and on but it's pointless. Just go there once and you will be coming back, like I am.

Das Restaurant Ilios in der Situlistraße 7 in München ist ein wahres Juwel der griechischen Gastronomie. Schon beim Betreten fühlt man sich wie im Urlaub in Griechenland. Die herzliche und aufmerksame Bedienung sorgt dafür, dass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt.  Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Gyros: zart, saftig und geschmacklich ein Highlight. Auch die Calamari überzeugen durch ihre Weichheit und den hervorragenden Geschmack. Die Speisekarte bietet eine vielfältige Auswahl an griechischen Spezialitäten, darunter auch vegetarische, vegane und glutenfreie Optionen.  Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist gemütlich und lädt zum Verweilen ein.Die Preise sind angemessen und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hervorragend.

Dear innkeepers, I had dinner with my wife this evening, with a reservation. When we arrived you had to spend a minute discussing where you could seat us. That's too long. We waited 15 minutes for the order to be taken. The drinks and appetizer came quickly and were good. Making us wait 50 minutes for the main course afterwards is extremely unprofessional!!! If I hadn't asked if you had forgotten about us, we still wouldn't have eaten. And the word “sorry” doesn’t seem to be in your vocabulary. Too bad ☹️🙁🙁

An absolute disgrace! Never again! This borders on fraud! 35 grams of cheese with rice as a main course - 12.90 euros.

We are currently on a short vacation in Munich and came across the restaurant IIios by chance. My wife had an unusual dish for a Greek restaurant - ribeye steak 300g grilled to perfection with fresh rosemary for only 27.50. It was perfect. I had a typical Greek gyros dish which was also excellent. The service was very friendly and we got an ouzo on the house before and after our meal. Thank you for the perfect service and the excellent cuisine. In terms of ambience, the restaurant is reminiscent of an old German restaurant, but that wasn't disturbing.

Nice beer garden, nicely decorated inside too. I ordered a cold “homemade” appetizer platter. Unfortunately it was just “bucket goods” that should have been clear to me given all the allergens noted. Waiters tended to leave us alone. One was really friendly, the other was grim and lit cigarettes as soon as he left the bar and smoked in the door. It's a shame actually...
