After a somewhat disappointing first visit, the second was significantly better. The food was delicious and filling. It was well-seasoned and beautifully and elaborately presented. (On the first visit, the lasagna was swimming in sauce and only salty; the pasta with chili was tasteless except for being spicy. The appetizer platter is highly recommended.) Conclusion: It's worth a visit.

After about half a dozen visits to this restaurant, it's time to leave a review. I received a recommendation for this restaurant at work. Luckily, because from the outside, the restaurant looks quite unassuming, nestled on Hugenottenplatz between kebab shops and kiosks. As we all know, it's what's inside that counts. This starts with the friendly welcome, the excellent service, and the attentive care from the entire team. Special requests are accommodated without hesitation. The main reason why we'll gladly return to this restaurant in the new year is, of course, the food. In my opinion, it's one of the best Italian restaurants in East Berlin. A fantastic standard menu is complemented by constantly changing specials that offer variety and have never disappointed us. It's not just the taste that impresses; presentation is key, and the dishes arrive at the table beautifully arranged. We've never had a better mixed antipasti platter full of Italian classics anywhere else (not even in Italy). Here, outstanding Italian cuisine meets a beautiful interior and a very welcoming team. In our opinion, the higher price range compared to surrounding restaurants is fully justified. And so, in this review, we would like to say thank you again for the wonderful evening yesterday and wish the entire team a very Merry Christmas.

Hi, we've been going there quite often lately and have to say, the food is excellent! The service is polite, the menus are very concise, and there's a good selection of dishes! So, it's perfect for a get-together with friends or a small celebration! 👍 The food pictured in my photos is now on the regular menu or daily specials, sometimes with extras. The owner says nothing is impossible! The chef is amazing, using only fresh ingredients! Anyone who's been there once will definitely come back! 👍 The only thing that bothers me personally is that dogs are allowed in the dining room! But that's just my opinion! One more thing: it's better to book a table online, as it's always very busy on weekends! 👌 Thank you!

We ate at Il Gusto again last night. We've been regulars for quite some time now. The food and service are always excellent. It's just a shame they didn't have the homemade tagliatelle flambéed in a Parmesan wheel yesterday. But next time! 🤩

We visited twice within a week. We have never experienced such attentive service. The waiters are very attentive to the guests. They pay attention to the little things, for example, refilling water from the bottle, serving the woman first, helping with coats, holding doors open, etc.

We sat behind the greenery from the street, and the noise level was okay. The first time I went to the restroom, I was surprised. It's well-kept, but very small and cramped. For women who need more space, it's very tight. A little tip: go straight to the accessible restroom. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was great; I had a salad, the others had pizza and panna cotta for dessert. Drinks included water, coffee, tea, and cocktails. Prices were reasonable. Parking wasn't a problem. It's best to make a reservation in the evening, especially if you want to sit outside. Payment by card is possible, but tips are extra and cash is appreciated.

Excellent food and service! We arrived when it was pretty full and loud, but later on I really liked the atmosphere as well. The steak from the Tageskartte was pricey but worth it. My only regret is not being able to tip when paying with card and we only had a few euros cash. Thank you!

After a few weeks break we were back at Il Gusto yesterday. We were warmly welcomed and given the nice weather, we were given seats on the terrace. The food was excellent, for example the grilled salmon, but the meat dishes were also delicious - compliments to the kitchen. Thank you for the nice service and the successful evening for four. The service staff were very courteous and friendly. It was also great that the food for 12 people was at the table almost at the same time! The veal liver was tender and very tasty, and the wine was also really good. I would have liked a few vegetables as a side dish and the mashed potatoes could have used more seasoning.
