Restaurant Idille in Collina in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler

It's always a pleasure to spend a wonderful evening with our German Boxer Nelson, or with our guests, at the Italian restaurant Idille above the spa town of Bad Neuenahr. This inn is a true oasis of enjoyment, thanks in part to the French professional in the kitchen. He is a masterful culinary wizard who transforms superbly fresh, primarily regional ingredients into delightful creations. On the other hand, the spirited and extremely welcoming owner, as well as her two charming waitresses, create a family atmosphere; they look after their guests with the utmost care and attention throughout the evening. Hospitality is still very much a priority here. The Restaurant Idille is a true culinary gem, something very special in Bad Neuenahr's culinary scene. Brigitte and Hans Steinkellner

This is now my fourth visit and a regular fixture on my visits to Bad Neuenahr. It's always a pleasure to be guests of Roberta, Angelo, and Jochen. Second visit - it wasn't as busy on Sunday evening...the food and service were just as good as the first. Wine recommendations (by the glass) are easy to follow. The terrace is lovely, and the tables aren't too close together. Lovely ambiance, friendly service, and good international cuisine. The wine recommendation was also very good. I really enjoyed the herring tartare and coq au vin.

The Idille is a cult favorite. A brilliant magician in the kitchen, a very sweet fairy with two wonderful charmers, and a refreshing young star in the service team delight us and all our guests time and time again. Innovative cuisine based on a comprehensive mastery of classic French/Italian cooking never ceases to amaze and delight us. And all this at truly modest prices for such superb cuisine and such personal and warm service. The Idille is a true idyll of indulgence and philanthropy. We are happy that it exists and sincerely hope that it will continue to exist for a long time to come.

We had a super delicious starter and main course. The owner was super accommodating and friendly. The view was also perfect.

Absolutely recommended and a great new discovery for me. We visited today for the first time, having seen the restaurant regularly while walking around. The menu is surprising if you're expecting an "Italian" restaurant – in a good way. Finally, not a restaurant like every other in Bad Neuenahr and Ahrweiler. Creative dishes, classically combined with outstanding ingredients. We can specifically recommend two pasta dishes, as well as fish and risotto. All of them were fantastic. The service was very attentive, very friendly, and communicative. Unfortunately, the attention waned in the second half of the evening, and we weren't able to order any more wine. I even went inside to get the bill. This is the only place where adjustments are needed. We would definitely be happy to come back, and I'll gladly add the fifth star.

Great restaurant. We got the tip from the taxi driver. Apparently, it's the best restaurant in the area. And after our visit, I'm sure I can believe it. A really nice atmosphere and very, very delicious food. The staff was incredibly friendly and funny. It couldn't be better. 😀

Unreserved recommendation. The location is somewhat enchanted, hence the lovely terrace practically surrounded by trees. You sit at beautifully set tables and are well looked after, and the service is excellent. The food, from the appetizer—vitello tonnato—to the main course—chestnut pork chop and grilled calamari—was excellent, beautifully presented, and very tasty. The portions were generous, so the value for money was also good. We will definitely be back.

We searched for a great Italian restaurant for a long time – and found it! Seafood salad, sole, vitello, and pasta with chanterelles – fantastic 🎉 Great service too! Highly recommended!

Highly recommended, and my colleague and I (both truck drivers) were warmly shown to a table, even though we weren't dressed appropriately for the occasion 😅. The food, the ambiance, the owners—everything was perfect. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area! 🤌

I was in this for the first time today Restaurant and I'm really excited! The food was incredibly tasty and you could immediately tell that everything was freshly prepared. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the friendly service - the waiters were attentive but never intrusive. The prices are also absolutely fair and more than appropriate for the quality. I would definitely like to come back!

An extraordinary experience in every way. The restaurant is not easy to find, but once there, you are rewarded by the atmosphere, the decor, the quality of the food and wine, and above all the warm welcome from Roberta and her staff. We will come back!

Our new discovery in BNA!!! Stopped in for espresso and cappuccino by chance while hiking through the Idienbachtal. Had a nice conversation with the madame of the house and, with this naturalness, reserved a table for the evening. Food, service and ambience beyond any doubt. We are looking forward to summer when we can enjoy the terrace. It was a celebration for us!!! Grazie💕

Excellent food, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. Absolutely recommended. My son (1 year old), the smallest guest in our group, was also happy with the pasta with red sauce.

Very well eaten, typically Italian preparation, spicy, tasty. Very friendly and courteous service. A bit difficult to find, the restaurant, the entrance area is not particularly inviting - you wouldn't expect a stylish restaurant behind it.

Top class!!!! The operator and the staff are extremely friendly and warm, you immediately feel welcome and comfortable. Great food, great creations, very quiet location (it's worth driving a few meters) and the terrace gives you a holiday feeling. We'll definitely come back when we're nearby. Thank you very much for the lovely evening :-)

Great restaurant with a beautiful view and really good food.

All in all we really liked it. The food was of a high standard. But the background noise was very difficult to bear. There was a large group in the restaurant. Unfortunately we had to shout at each other to make ourselves understood. There should definitely be information on how to get there on the website. Some streets are closed and the entrance has no sign. We'll try again in the summer.

There are enough parking spaces, although not too many. The entrance directly into the restaurant was a bit difficult to find as the door into the restaurant was closed and was not obviously recognized as the entrance door. Warm welcome and fast and friendly service. The food tasted very good, there was a lot of choice of really good dishes, so you can plan a visit more often. The ambience in the old building was not quite the one I liked, but of course it was high quality and comfortable. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening with very good food. Always worth a visit! Maybe a little nicer in the summer if you can sit outside. Prices are a little higher but we expected that and it's perfectly fine!

Great service and delicious food, but it's still too dark outside and the entrance is difficult to find! Outdoor lighting would be an advantage here! We'll definitely come back

Die Leute, die in dieses Restaurant gehen, denken, dass ihnen die Welt gehört. Sehr abgehoben. Das Essen ist viel zu teuer, viel viel zu tuer. Die Location ist schlecht. Vielleicht gut für die Kundschaft. Die kommt wahrscheinlich auch vom Johannisberg, wo die Reichen leben. Außerdem wurde meine Reservierung nicht anerkannt. Es war sehr hektisch. Und die Ausstattung irgendwie quer und lieblos. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant nicht.

Wir kommen gerne in die Idille. Für uns mit Abstand das beste Restaurant im Tal. Tolles Ambiente, unglaublich toller Service und die Gerichte immer wieder absolut fantastisch. Es ist schön, dass es immer wieder eine wechselnde , saisonale Karte gibt. Bis zum nächsten mal.

Liegt etwas versteckt, ist den Umweg aber wert: Sehr netter Service und fantastisches Essen. Unbedingt Platz für ein Dessert lassen, die Creme Brûlée gehört zu den besten, die ich bisher probiert habe.

Super leckeres italienisches Essen ohne viel Schnick-Schnack. Empfehlung: Flammkuchen mit Feigen, Taleggio, Pinienkernen und Honig.

Vielen Dank liebe Roberta für den charmanten Service. Angelo und Joachim sind unübertrefflich. Die Küche ist meines Erachtens noch besser, als sie es in dem Restaurant Milano war. Wir sehen uns wieder 🙏🏼

Wir waren auf einer längeren Autoreise und haben eine Möglichkeit für ein Mittagessen gesucht. Der kleine Abstecher von der Autobahn hat sich sehr gelohnt! Das Idille in Collina bietet authentische italienische Küche! Die Penne mit Pfifferlingen und Rinderfiletspitzen waren fabelhaft. Professioneller und aufmerksamer Service. Das stilvolle Lokal liegt etwas versteckt in einer Wohnsiedlung mit Blick auf das Ahrtal.

Das Filet vom Loup de mer war super.

Das Ambiente ist prima und der Service auch. Früher waren sie im Milano und man konnte richtiges italienisches Essen bekommen. Vor ca. 6-9 Monaten war das hier im neuen Restaurant auch noch so, aber letzte Woche gab es nur noch Vittelo tonato, welches nach Italien "roch", aber ansonsten war da eher eine gut bürgerliche Küche zu finden und die Weinkarte war leider auch sehr übersichtlich. Ich hoffe, dass bald im ehem. Milano in Bad Neuenahr wieder ein ital. Restaurant öffnet, dann wird wohl kaum einer mehr den Weg zu diesem Restaurant in Kauf nehmen. Aber mangels Angebot scheint es noch gut zulaufen. Aber das ist nur meine Sicht aus ca. 10-15 Besuchen in den letzten 10 Jahren..

Sehr gutes Essen, super netter und aufmerksamer Service. Die Spaghetti mit Scampis sind sensationell und auch die Maispoularde war ein Traum.

Wir waren dort zum Kaffee trinken. Man wird höflich und nett empfangen und bedient. Die Waffeln sind sehr lecker.
