Es gibt kaum ein Lokal im Ahrtal, dass so professionell und freundlich von der Bedienung her geführt wird, wie das Sale e Pepe in Bad Neuenahr! Und das sage ich als Ur-Ahrweiler (und wir geben ungern zu, dass in Bad Neuenahr etwas sehr gut ist). Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und empfehlenswert. Aus gutem Grund sollte man vorher reservieren.

Four of us were there yesterday and overall we had a lovely evening. It was busy, but the service was still very, very friendly. The food and drinks were super delicious. However, there was a difference in the quantities between the recommendations on the first page and the "normal" dishes. Our pasta dishes and salad were good portions, but the tortellini filled with chanterelles were rather sparse - almost not enough to fill you up for the price. The biggest drawback I would like to mention, however, was the waiting time for food. We had booked the time slot from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Our order wasn't taken until after 6 p.m. - including the drinks. These came quite quickly, but we waited 20 minutes for the starter. Our food didn't arrive until almost 50 minutes later (around 7:10 p.m.). That was a very long period of time. Above all, it almost felt rushed because after eating you didn't have much time to relax and have a drink and nibble on dessert in peace. We did that, but everything was pretty squashed in the last 20 minutes. Therefore there is a star deduction. This still needs some tweaking.

There were six of us in the restaurant on a Wednesday evening. Very hospitable, attentive and courteous service! At our table we mainly ate pizza and pasta, which tasted delicious. We were also well advised on the wine selection.

Excellent meal! I'm gluten free so I wasn't able to have any pizza or pasta as there are no Gluten Free alternatives but there are other items on the menu that are naturally gluten free. I had the mussels (from the specials menu) amd a salad. Finished off with an excellent creme brulee.

Actually a very nice restaurant, but a very arrogant and unfriendly staff. You listen to people gossiping about the guests in the restaurant while you wait for your dish to be picked up. On our last visit my partner was served the wrong pizza. The male server heard Pizza Bruchetta instead of Pizza Proscuito. The server argued that we had pronounced it incorrectly and had no idea that it was also the service staff's job to clarify what was ordered. In addition, Pizza Bruchetta is not a pizza that you find on the menu in an Italian restaurant, but seems to be very specific. We were not shown any concessions, only offered to let us return the pizza at full charge. No free drink, or apology, or anything like that was offered, but we did get several unfriendly looks while we ate the pizza. Despite everything, we remained polite and then received unfriendly behavior from our colleague, who no longer greeted us when we said goodbye. We were shocked and ashamed. We didn't enjoy the stay. There are better restaurants in the area.

Had dinner there last night and it was a successful evening. Not pre-ordered, but luckily a table outside just became available. The salad with goat cheese, walnuts and honey was very tasty and bread was served with it. He also enjoyed his son's lasagne. The service was very friendly and kept an overview. She has my approval. I would highly recommend this Italian restaurant to family and friends.

A nice place with good food and quick service. They pffer takeaway too. Had to wait for a place and only had limited time before table was reserved, but it fitted our plans perfectly. Food was delicious. Open part of the restaurant is on the pedestrian walk, people walk past your table and there may be smokers around hence one star less. Overall recommended!

We were at Sale e Pepe with 4 people for a celebration. We couldn't have chosen a nicer place. The service was extremely accommodating, polite and very attentive. There's nothing negative to say about the food, everything was very tasty. It is particularly worth mentioning that, in addition to the "normal" menu, there is also a menu with seasonal dishes (for us, chanterelles). The wine list should also have something for everyone. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Sale e Pepe is highly recommended.

Waited over an hour for pasta and pizza. Pasta sauce completely over salted, pizza not cooked through. The restaurant was only moderately attended. Customers at the next table were refused to share a pizza. Either they should order 2 small pizzas or leave. Customer friendliness looks different. I don't need it again.

In this still battered place, the restaurant "sale e pepe" is a ray of hope and a real eye-catcher. Last week, after spontaneously deciding to eat here, I was lucky enough to get a table outside for about 1.5 hours. That was completely enough for me as an individual. The indoor and outdoor areas filled completely within half an hour; All tables that were already occupied when I arrived were allocated a second time. No wonder given the quality of the food. The house is ultra-modern, very stylish and well maintained, the service is perfect, extremely friendly, competent and fast. A refreshing Red Hugo started an outstanding meal. It consisted of a tender carpaccio and a perfectly cooked bistecca alla griglia with Mediterranean side dishes. Plus a well-chilled Lugana. All dishes were attractively prepared. The price/performance ratio is balanced and the location of the house on a quiet street is perfect.

We were a larger group and were happy to accept the offer of a mixed appetizer platter. It was very tasty and very filling. Unfortunately the main course, the house pizza, couldn't keep up. It was all floating on the pizza and didn't seem inspired. The payment took over half an hour, so that the first guests were back at the hotel long before the rest of us were finally allowed to pay the bill. That really disturbed the overall impression.

We've been there for the second time now and have to admit that we liked it even better this time. The waitress was wonderful. She memorized everything, even with a group of 17 people. Hats off. Knew how to classify every drink and food for every person.

Amazing, great pizza, real carbonara (not that stupid cream and ham nonsense that you unfortunately often get), a great selection of starters and Italian beer on tap. The service could be a little more on point, but was consistently friendly and accommodating.

The food here is quite nice and the service is good. Just make sure you look at the wine menu well. All glass prices are listed at 0.1 l. However, if you order you automatically get a 0.2 glass which makes them double the price you saw on the menu.

Nevertheless, we were served nicely. Overall, our visit to Sale e Pepe was a positive experience with a few minor flaws. We will definitely come back and hope for an even better experience next time. Dogs are welcome in the restaurant.

Italian hospitality is lived here. The ambience is a mix of rustic and modern, but looks very homely thanks to the wooden tables and the color scheme. The food came quickly. The portions were absolutely sufficient. Everyone enjoyed it excellently. We had tagliatelle manzo, spaghetti carbonara and a classic pizza margherita.

We were registered and there was a confirmation, but there was some irritation because there was initially no reservation in the restaurant. After we had already visited this pizzeria a few times this year, we ordered a shared appetizer and a shared large pizza, just like on our last visit. The waitress made it clear to us that we couldn't order a large pizza together. The restaurant manager also confirmed this. He explained to us that this had never been the case and suggested that we take two small pizzas, which, however, were not noted on the menu. The surprise came with the bill. Instead of paying €17 for a large pizza, we paid €30 for 2 small pizzas. Hidden price increase?

I ate there twice with my wife. Once before the flood and once after the flood. Was disappointed both times. One time, unfortunately, it was also our wedding anniversary. For my wife, it was the salmon that was still half raw. For me it was the pizza (at least €17) that was totally over seasoned. Never again!!!

I have now written this review based on 3 different incidents with the restaurant. 1. Table reserved with the working group and eaten there on site in the evening. Warm welcome at the entrance. The ambience looks inviting with the “grass wall” and the “moped” and other small details, but personally it is too dark for me despite the lamps at the tables. Well then... I really like the menu because it is clear and not too busy and also has daily specials. At the beginning there was fresh bread from the house with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I ordered a salad with fish and it was really excellent. Absolute recommendation for a proud price of €20. Personally, it bothered me that wheat beer was only available in 0.33l size with the glasses. I'm aware that it's not a pub, but even in Milan I can get a 0.5l beer from very good, well-known Italians. Of course I understand the economic background. ;-) The service was attentive and friendly, but you can tell the difference in treatment between “celebrities and regulars” to “newcomers.” That's unprofessional for me. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio for what is on offer is not entirely justified. 2nd and 3rd incident was a pizza order that was consumed at home. 1x Frutti di Mare for a whopping €18 and the second time salmon & spinach for €15. The pizza was in the box for 5 minutes from when it was picked up to when it was consumed and the taste was not a treat for the palate. The dough tasted bland, no crunch, limp in the middle and the tomato sauce had no drip. Personally 5.7 out of 10 points. For the price it's completely unjustified. I think a solid basis with strengths and weaknesses. There is still room for improvement.

Monday and Tuesday closed. It's worth making a reservation, as the restaurant is very busy just a few minutes after it opens. still the best place to eat pizza in Bad Neuenahr. Netter Italiener im Zentrum von Bad Neuenahr. Sehr freundliche, zuvorkommende und aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir hatten einen sehr leckeren Tomatensalat und anschliessend noch Pizza. Aber Vorsicht😂, die Pizza ist verdammt groß und sehr üppig belegt. Also vorher nicht so viel andere leckere Sachen essen. Die Preise sind auch durchweg angemessen. Allerdings sollte man vorher einen Tisch reservieren. Hatten wir zwar nicht, aber die nette Kellnerin hat uns an einen Stehtisch in einer Ecke verfrachtet und gesagt, das in der nächsten viertel Stunde etwas frei würde.

Super Italiener. Tolles Essen, prima Weinauswahl und aufmerksamer Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Solange der Preis nicht noch weiter steigt, kommen wir jetzt regelmäßig. Noch weitere vegetarische Gerichte wären schön....

Kleines aber sehr gutes Restaurant. Echte italienische Küche. Ein Tisch ohne Reservierung zu bekommen ist schwierig. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Bester Ort für eine leckere Pizza in Bad Neuenahr Ahrweiler! Das Ristorante Pizzeria Sale e Pepe hat mich mit seiner authentischen italienischen Atmosphäre und den köstlichen Pizzen beeindruckt. Die Pizza war frisch zubereitet, hatte eine knusprige Kruste und großzügig belegte Beläge. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein perfekter Ort nicht nurfür Pizza-Liebhaber!

Der Besuch war ein voller Erfolg, sowohl die Getränkekarte als auch die Speisekarte ist gut aufgestellt. Es gibt nur italienische Weine, wie es sich beim guten Italiener gehört. Die Pizzen sind groß und lecker. Das Ambiente ist toll. Immer wieder gerne

In diesem Lokal stimmt einfach alles oerfekt! Ich war jetzt zum 3. mal schon seit Widereröffnung im März 23 dort und fahre gerne die 1,5 Std aus Dortmund zu euch! Perfekt abgestimmtes Ambiente, sehr gute Produkte und wirklich perfekt angerichtet und zubereitet! :-) Auch der Service ist perfekt und kümmert sich immer sehr liebevoll um den Gast. Preis/Leistung am Ende stimmt wirklich sehr gut, vor allem wenn man die hochwertige Auswahl an Produkten mit einbezieht.

Hier stimmt einfach alles! Eine wirklich aufmerksame und zuvorkommende Bedienung, wunderbar zubereitete Gerichte (riesengroßes Lob an den Koch) und ein tolles Ambiente. Wir hatten nicht reserviert und hatten an einem Samstag 18 Uhr keine Chance. Auf Nachfrage, ob später ein Tisch zu bekommen wäre, teilte uns die Bedienung mit, dass wir gegen 20:30 Uhr wiederkommen sollten, was wir dann auch gemacht haben. Wir hatten ein gelungenen und wundervollen Abend. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind, ist das Sale e Pepe Pflicht.

Ein kompetenter, aufmerksamer und gut gelaunter Service, ein ausgewogener Rotwein und das mit frischen Zutaten qualitativ hochwertig zubereitete Essen hat uns einen ganz besonderen Abend im „Sale e Pepe“ beschert. Auch das Bruschetta zum Nachgang ist dringend empfehlenswert. Vielen Dank an euer tolles Team. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
