Restaurant La Perla in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler

Pleasant place, delicious pizza.

So, the food was bad. My husband had a pizza, but you could just as easily buy a ready-made pizza at the store. I had tortellini in ham and cream sauce. They were the small, hard ones in a plastic wrapper that you can buy at any store for about €1.50. Some of them were still hard. The main thing is to charge a lot for such rubbish. I returned almost all of my food. The waitress was very nice and asked me if I had eaten too much. I told her that the food wasn't at all what I imagined tortellini to be. She just said she was sorry. My husband also returned half the pizza. It's been a year now. I'm giving my review now because I've talked to people who also had such bad food there.

We spontaneously went to La Perla and had a very pleasant evening. Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and the food was delicious. For starters, we ordered the garlic pizza bread, and for main courses, we had hunter's schnitzel and rump steak, both with fries and a small side salad. The rump steak was ordered medium and was cooked to perfection. All in all, it was a lovely evening.

A lovely little restaurant with a small garden, La Perla, is located in the beautiful, picturesque center of Arhweiler. Highly recommended. There's a charming mural of Astrix and Obelix in the garden.

Unfortunately, I can't make any recommendations here! I wanted to treat myself and my girlfriend for my birthday, so we chose the most expensive menu with salmon fillet. My fish was raw inside and the chanterelles were practically uncooked. I then called the waiter, who took my plate, and got the same half-finished plate with the fish back...with the words: "It should be cooked through by now..." I couldn't believe it at first. We wanted a non-alcoholic cocktail, but that wasn't really possible; they didn't have anything like that. Nevertheless, they brought us something, but the glass wasn't completely full. The salad, without words, was simply nothing special, and last but not least, I wanted to pay by card...that didn't work either; they don't have such a device...A mistake can always happen, but there was no apology. And almost 75 euros isn't exactly cheap either. I won't go there again, I'll wake up more!

Guided by the good Google rating, unfortunately, the experience was very poor. Long wait times, very average food, and sluggish service.

We had a delicious pizza and salad. The staff was friendly and the wine and beer were excellent.

Because the pasta was served on cold plates, which had been standing on the cold plate for about five minutes, most of the food arrived cold. The portions were borderline reasonable for the price. Two spoonfuls of penne with five prawns for around €17. It wouldn't fill you up. Unfortunately, there were two hen parties that evening who made a lot of noise in the place, making a cozy meal impossible. Drink orders were forgotten/ignored, so all in all, we left very quickly without ordering dessert.

The best Italian restaurant in years with Carlo (Il Trullo Doro) in Mörlenbach.

A solid pizzeria in the pedestrian zone, with nice seating inside and outside. Friendly service, but unfortunately we couldn't eat together because one of the pizzas was too dark. Tasty and well-topped, but not outstanding, and the pizza prices are high (€11-16).

First of all: staff great! Very nice and eloquent service, we'll be back for that alone. Food is good. The pizzas don't blow your mind, but the dough is fresh and tasty. Overall, everything was a bit greasy and the bottom was soggy. Prices are marginal, but still okay. Parking possible in the area. Unfortunately there are no explicit vegetarian characteristics in the dishes, which would be easy to improve. Makes the selection a little more difficult and time-consuming. At least there are vegetarian dishes, which leaves something to be desired in most of the remaining restaurants in Ahrweiler's city center.

Super friendly waiter, great original Italian pizza (first cheese then toppings). High chairs available, child seats and changing table in the toilet. The whole family liked it, we were very excited. Thank you - we'll be happy to come back!

We spent our Christmas party here on the first weekend of Advent. From the reservation, to the food, service, prices... everything was great and absolutely recommended! Thanks for the great evening.

The ambience here is a dream. We felt very comfortable. The waitresses were all attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed the food - especially the antipasti.

For our last evening in Ahrweiler we chose the La Perla restaurant and didn't regret it. We were greeted very friendly and, since we were there with our dog, we were given a nice table in the corner. The menu promised a lot and we were thrilled by the pizza bread with bruschetta, the very tasty pizza and the tiramisu (we shared the starter and dessert). We'd love to come back when we're in Ahrweiler again.

I was at the restaurant for lunch today. I had snails with herb butter as a starter and a pizza with anchovies as my main course. Unfortunately, both came at the same time and to “my” annoyance, the taste of the snails was not what I normally know from Italian cuisine. The herb butter had no taste whatsoever and the snails themselves were buttery soft?!? I know they're actually a little fried, so they're more crunchy?!? I told the waitress this in a friendly manner and she wanted to take care of it. Unfortunately nothing happened (except that someone looked around the corner at my table twice) until the bill. It might have been the boss waiter or the boss himself who cashed in. I also expressed the "criticism" to him but nothing came except the comment "that it was always like that with them". Of course the bill was full even though I left more than half of the starter back. It's a shame that customer opinions are ignored and downplayed. That wouldn't happen at an "Italian restaurant". Therefore, unfortunately there is no good review from me today.

We drove very spontaneously from Cologne to Bad Neuenahr and wanted to have something to eat, then ended up at La Perla... Conclusion 5 stars for the beautiful restaurant 5 stars for the great fresh delicious food 5 stars for the super friendly staff, who even had time for a private conversation. THANKS We'll be back!!!! Nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. One point deducted for the ambience because it was quite cold in the dining room when we visited and we froze a bit. The food tasted great, was appetizingly prepared and the service was super attentive but not intrusive. For a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was well attended, obviously regulars, as there was mostly familiar interaction with the staff. That already spoke for itself. The prices on the menu appear moderate and were absolutely justified for our dishes. Big praise for the calzone dish with goat cheese, honey and pear! The only thing that wasn't necessarily needed was the salad garnish and if it was, then with a little dressing. The restaurant is absolutely recommended.

Very relaxed pizzeria with good ambience and food.

A first class restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The selection of food and drinks is very good, as is the quality! In addition to the regular menu, there is also a weekly menu with great dishes. (There were ox cheeks, which were really excellent). Everything was perfect and we had a great evening and are really looking forward to coming back!

An absolutely well-rounded thing Eat...quickly and lots of pasta. Was really full. Had crayfish...and they were worth it. Service was very unobtrusive but always on point. The service staff was also nice and appropriate. And the old building is beautifully veneered with sandstone. Lots of bells and whistles... but they were collected very authentically. We were visiting Ahrweiler and had dinner at La Perla on both evenings. Great ambience, super friendly staff and delicious food. But best of all, my husband was able to eat gluten-free there. A great compliment to La Perla.

We have known La Perla for over 40 years. They weren't in Ahrweiler yet. They really deserve the fact that you don't see the "old ones" so often anymore. We wish them all the best for the future.

Ahrweiler has recovered after the floods in 2021. There are many tourists out and about again.

Leuk restaurant maar alleen voor pizza. Alle vlees gerechten verbrand, doorbakken terwijl we medium besteld hadden, schnitzel zwart, voorafjes kwamen niet maar gelukking niet in rekening gebracht. Wijnkaart slecht, alleen karafjes en wat we bestelden op. Konden niet klagen over het eten omdat nauwelijks personeel. Salade n patat maar gegeten n de rest gelaten. Betalen n wegwezen

Ate here Sunday lunch time and again on Wednesday evening. Great service food and atmosphere. Not just pizza and pasta but some German standard meals too. Excellent all around.

We came across this restaurant by chance. It's lovely to sit in the shaded courtyard. The staff is friendly, present but not intrusive. The order was taken quickly and the drinks didn't take long to arrive. We had two pasta dishes and garlic pizza bread. That was really very tasty. Grated Parmesan was served with the pasta. All in all we were very satisfied. Price-performance ratio fits. There are parking spaces a few hundred meters away. We'd love to come back.

Ein sehr nettes Ristorante mit ausgesprochen freundlicher Bedienung Das Ambiente ist sehr gepflegt , zudem verfügt das Lokal über eine Außenterrasse und einen Garten. Die Speisen waren sehr köstlich, leider muss ich einen Start abziehen, da kein Salz und Pfeffer auf dem Tisch war und die Zitrone zu den Meeresfrüchten gefehlt hat. Ansonsten einen top Empfehlung

Anyone who has heard the reports of the flood disaster on the Ahr, especially the devastating destruction in the district town of Ahrweiler, can, among other things, experience very emotionally in La Perla the almost inhumane effort that was put into the reconstruction of the city and the local area. It is precisely this spirit that you experience in the shops, locations and, in my opinion, especially in la Perla. Extremely warm service and the conversation about the terrible event make us feel like guests. I have enjoyed this hospitality several times now. It was and is an honor and pleasure for me.

Nice food, great choice of Italian and German dishes. We had some Pasta dishes, a Pizza and Schnitzel Hunter style, which were all very nice. They made room for our bigger party on a busy Friday evening. The service was very friendly and quick. The only downside was that you can not pay with any card, only cash.

We came to Ahrweiler for lunch on New Years Eve and most restaurants were closed. The staff made up a table for us inside the packed restaurant, which we really appreciated. We were able to have Ahr Valley wine for 26 euros and delicious pizzas. The English-speaking gentleman who served us was very friendly and helpful and had a great sense of humor about making sure we had enough cash to pay the bill (note this restaurant is cash only!). The atmosphere is very cozy and very family-friendly. The WC is only a couple of steps down, which is great for elderly parents. We'll definitely give them our business again

Ohne Reservierung hatten wir Glück, an einem Sonntag Abend noch einen freien Platz zu bekommen. Der Service war schnell und sehr nett, das Essen wurde schnell serviert, war köstlich und das zu einem verhältnismäßig günstigen Preis. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen und Service sind unglaublich gut. Der Service glänzt mit Aufmerksamkeit und nimmt Kundenwünsche aufmerksam wahr. Die Küche serviert die Gerichte auf den Punkt. Einzig die Lautstärke im Lokal ist eher unangenehm. Ggfs. würde hier ein paar Lärmschlucker helfen. In warmen Monaten ist das natürlich kein Thema, da man sowohl an der Straße als auch im Hinterhof sehr gemütlich sitzen kann.

Pizza, Nudeln und Salat fanden wir sehr lecker. Dass Wein aus der Region angeboten wird ist super. Unsere 2 kleinen Hunde waren auch willkommen. Sollten wir mal wieder in Ahrweiler sein, gehen wir hier auf jeden Fall wieder Essen.

Früher eine Perle von Ahrweiler, langsam aber eher auf einmalige Touristen Besuche ausgerichtet. Sehr Schade.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit einem schönen Stile und einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ich komme seit Jahren gern hierher. Vor und nach der Ahrtalkatastrophe.

Das Essen war sowohl geschmacklich als auch qualitativ auf hohem Niveau. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Location (wir saßen im Außenbereich, nur dieser wird hier bewertet) war sehr ansprechend. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier absolut, ein Besuch ist definitiv empfehlenswert.
