The inside is good, but the highlight is the beer garden when it's warmer again

We live in the neighborhood and feel very comfortable here. Who has such a nice restaurant around the corner where you are served friendly and quick with drinks and good food?

The service is friendly, attentive and quick. The food is very good. Buttery soft and a crispy crust.

Phenomenon place to crawl away too. Steak was cooked with a slight butter and garlic combination and the beers were local and plentiful. Definitely recommend to passing individuals and people that want a chill and quiet meal.

Very nice pub/restaurant. There were 9 of us sitting nicely at a long table. We immediately found parking spaces along the street. The service was very quick, with good business for weekdays. Throughout the evening we were asked regularly - but never too often - about drinks and requests, always in a friendly manner. The food was delicious for everyone, the Kaiserschmarrn was the highlight for some. The garlic bread had small chopped pieces of garlic on it, a garlic butter or aioli could possibly be offered as a suggestion for improvement, so the baguette was very dry. My onion roast was just under medium rare, perfect for me. I just wasn't asked, so if you want it to be different, you have to mention it yourself. Regardless of whether it was a salad with feta or the side salad, both had the right amount of dressing and nothing was floating in them. Separating e.g. Olives and carrots under the salad gave everyone the opportunity to decide for themselves what they like without having to laboriously pick out individual things - we thought about it here! We were very satisfied overall, the price is appropriate for the performance and the city location, even low. Definitely worth a detour visit!

Wow, we ordered something today and picked it up on site! We had roast pork and sauerbraten and it was really tasty and we also had dumplings with sauce for the children! Everything was super tasty, everyone was warmly welcomed and everyone was super nice

Wonderful restaurant with a beer garden. Very good food with a varied menu, you have to try the Brenzen pizza. But there are also all the classics that a restaurant in Franconia needs. The prices are absolutely fair.

Large self-service beer garden, plus a restaurant area with service. We sat quite comfortably in the latter. Despite being quite busy, the service was quick and friendly. As a house specialty, we tried a "Pretzel Pizza Franken", a pizza-like structure made of pretzel dough, topped with Obadzdn, onions, etc. The whole thing was gratinated with cheese, which was very interesting in terms of taste. In terms of digestion, however, it was a challenge that could only be overcome by using several Zwedschgers and Williams. The pricing is standard in the industry and we had a nice evening.

Today I ate my very best grilled knuckle ever. Highly recommended

We were in the garden. Cozy with parasols. The waitress was very friendly and immediately asked if we needed water for our dog. Parking spaces in front of the house. The food was plentiful and tasty. Gladly again 😃.

I didn't eat anything, just 6 Seidla Drank red beer. My neighbor had the oyster mushrooms. Portion was good 👍 and generous and the taste was obviously very good. A good place to stay. Gladly again 🍺🍺🍺

I'll keep it short... Shameless restaurant management/chef, Schäufele with wobbly crust, grill plate without any roasted ingredients or taste + limp bacon. Forgot the side salad. There was almost nothing going on. Disastrous craftsmanship and complaint management. You should react urgently here... This restaurant has a huge management problem. Addendum: Thank you for the tip everyone. I write the reviews for exactly this reason. To give people the chance to draw conclusions from other people's experiences. As many people as possible are welcome to see this. Have a nice weekend

Do not confuse the restaurant with the beer garden. Have been to the restaurant many times trying to give them a go. But if the customer is the only one keeping up the mood, it's bad. Service is generally sub-par.

The somewhat inconspicuous exterior made us hesitate at first, but the pleasant location and attractive terrace proved us wrong. Food was good and it went quickly. Service very friendly, sometimes a bit unfocused 😅 overall... we'd love to come back. The pretzel pizza is a funny idea, but once eaten is enough for me personally...

Great place to chill and enjoy, with delicious food and good beer

Ordered there for the first time yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. The cordon bleu was very good, not from the deep fryer and I thought the pretzel pizza was great. I will definitely order more often and take a look at the beer garden in the summer.

Food cold or lukewarm, sauce was completely missing, the rostel wasn't roasted, just a dumpling with scrambled eggs without salt, pepper or other spices, terrible! It's a shame it ran on Sunday and ended up in the trash with delivery costs of 40 euros.

You can eat very, very well here. We have now tested one of the menus and haven't found anything yet that we didn't like. We always come back to this great restaurant with the very nice and attentive staff. You can also sit longer and play a game you brought with you. The hygiene concept is adhered to very well. All around... You feel super comfortable here and will always be happy to come back. 😊👍

The 3 stars only because the restaurant can't do anything about it, only the chef can do it and I know how difficult it can be to find staff. The food has always been excellent. Unfortunately, today was the 2nd order in a row within a month that was absolutely not good. Both times, lumberjack steak and onion rostbaten, the meat was of extremely poor quality, totally tough, you couldn't cut it or chew it. The fried potatoes were partly raw, soggy and unseasoned. The salad was good as always. It's obviously a different chef, because I'm used to a completely different and, above all, good quality from you. I can't imagine that you would have gotten the same quality if you had eaten it locally; you would return it immediately. Please look after your cook.

Given that it is now very difficult to find a restaurant with German cuisine, the restaurant is ok for normal visits. Food tasted good but had a lot of frozen ingredients. The Rösti are true potato pancakes from the package. Service and price were ok. Beer garden in summer is great.

Was on December 10th. There, this time the food was unfortunately not good at all. Had duck, it was tough and the red cabbage didn't taste good either.

I had roulades delivered to me via Lieferando and I am very impressed. Unfortunately I cannot rate the service and ambience. Where can you still get homemade sauce today!? Almost everywhere it's just mixed bag powder. This one was certainly real. The roulade too; was mildly spiced but really tasty. With onions and carrots inside, but only a little bacon, I didn't know that before. According to Wikipedia, carrots are particularly popular as a filling in Austria. It suited me, I don't really like bacon anyway. My wife found it a little too mildly seasoned and would have liked more meat instead of filling, you just can't please everyone. But I thought it was totally fine. That was my first contact, I'm already looking forward to the next time. 😋😃 Unfortunately a bit expensive, the prices could at least have included delivery.

Very nice pub in a traditional style with beautiful old-fashioned, but very loving and very comfortable furnishings. There's even an old gas pump in the middle. And Napoleon sits at the biggest table. The view from the winter garden is magnificent. The beer garden is spacious and in the middle of Hummelsteiner Park. The staff is extremely nice and very attentive. The food is surprising and very good

Soo leckerr..das Schäufele .und ein toller , schattiger Garten.

Wir waren heute seit längerer Zeit wieder da. Vlt. war heute einfach nur ein schlechter Tag, aber das Bier und die Spezi waren warm und abgestanden. Der Salat zum gebackenen Feta bestand größtenteils aus eingelegtem Dosengemüse und das Schäufele war sehr trocken und faserig. Es liegt mir jetzt noch im Magen und lässt aufstoßen. Wir sind enttäuscht. Der Service war allerdings gut und freundlich.

Toller Ort, schöne Lokation. Wenn man sich jedoch entscheidet den Selbstbedienungsbereich (Biergarten) zu nutzen, zahlt man, trotz dem Verzicht auf jeglichen Service, einen satten Preis €€€. Die Chefs empfanden wir nicht sehr freundlich- wir wurden sogar ziemlich rüde angepfiffen, weil wir versehentlich die Gastro-Toilette benutzt haben, um den Kindern kurz die Finger zu waschen, bevor wir direkt daneben das Essen selbst in Empfang nahmen. Die Brezen-Pizza mit Feta-Käse schmeckt grausam. Wir werden zukünftig nur noch den Biergarten nutzen- nicht mehr das Restaurant.

Service war sehr verbesserungsbedürftig. Unsere Gruppe von ca 12 Personen musste >1h warten bis wir essen bestellen konnten und hatten oft leere Gläser ohne die Möglichkeit nachzubestellen.

Zum Hummelsteiner kommen wir immer gerne! Wenn man Glück hat, gibt's das feine Hummelsteiner Gröstl. Der Service ist klasse, das Ambiente auch. Wohlfühl Ort!

Sowohl innen als auch außen sehr schönes Restaurant. Wir waren im Biergarten zu einer Feier, wurden sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Brezenpizza ist eine besondere Spezialität und sehr zu empfehlen. Zu unserer Verwunderung waren am Sonntag Mittag noch sehr viele Plätze frei. Das findet man selten.

Wir haben einen schönen Abend in der Gruppe dort verbracht. Schöner Biergarten, da Essen hat gepasst. Die Servicemädels waren schell und sehr sympathisch. Schaut Euch das Hummelstein einfach mal an.👍

Sehr aufmerksame Bedienungen, das erlebt man selten. Fragen von sich aus, ob man noch was möchte Gute Speisekarten, auch mit einigen vegetarischen Gerichten. Man sitzt sehr schön auf der Terrasse Essen war lecker Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!!!!!

Gutes Restaurant mit gutem Essen. Portionen könnten etwas größer sein. Geschmacklich aber gut. Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Ambiente ist schön, lediglich die Tische sind für größere Personen etwas unbequem und man hatte das Gefühl am Tisch kleben zu bleiben.

Richtig schöner Biergarten mit gutem essensangebot

Ideal mit Kindern. Und ein Verdauungsspaziergang im Park ist auch empfehlenswert.

Der Biergarten hat oft offen, eine Auswahl an gutem Bier ist erhältlich. Essen ist lecker und sättigend, Kinder haben einen Spielplatz zu Verfügung. Es gibt keine Mängel die man aufzählen könnte

Etwas für Leute die es urig haben möchten

Freundlicher, schneller Service bei gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Breze-Pizza ist zu empfehlen. Burger-Bun selbstgemacht und Patty auch, was beides geschmacklich sehr gut war. Hatten auch das Schnitzel mit Spargel überbacken, was auch zu empfehlen ist. Klare Empfehlung.
