Some people criticize the fact that they ordered and other guests who ordered later received their food earlier. To this: Bro, are you okay? Can't you think? It is most likely that the others ordered a dish that was prepared quicker or was already prepared. Your dish was probably a dish that takes longer and the time you specified for the waiting time is completely okay.

If you want to go to South Korea but don't feel like flying, this is the right place for you. The food is super tasty and inexpensive. Everyone who only gave one star is a liar

Great place, good food and kind staff. Better than other wannabe places. The ketchup chicken is worth it and this thing of pork and squid that comes with rice . Been here many times and worth going again. Apparently they take reservations too so do that!

Hodori is a great Korean restaurant in Berlin. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly. The price-performance ratio is very good. I can recommend Hodori to anyone who likes Korean food.

In general, you can go there for good Korean barbecue. I recommend the meat, I couldn't eat the chicken with a lot of skin, but of course it's a matter of preference.

Great authentic Korean restaurant. The grilled meat is very tasty and very inexpensive for 2 people compared to other restaurants in Berlin. The waiters are very nice and the food is served quickly. If you would like to eat like you would in Korea, this is the place for you.

We were there on January 25th. Ordered a soup and menu for 2 people. The portion was too small, my god. Ketchup chicken was only half the portion. And we got a very small portion of rice. Then I told the waiter that the portion of rice was not enough. He said we won't take any more money for that. What an answer is that. I was there 2 years ago. Back then we were there more often and somehow noticed that the food didn't taste good before. We haven't gone back since then. And this time was just the same as before. No ambience

This Korean restaurant offers a variety of food including Jjajangmyeon, Jjamppong, chicken, Osam Bulgogi, etc. In particular, lunch is cheap.

I really enjoy coming to Hodori – the food is just great! The Ketchup Chicken (Yang Nyeom Chicken) in particular is an absolute must. It is perfectly prepared every time and tastes a highlight. The service is always friendly and attentive, which makes the visit even more pleasant. Admittedly, the ambience isn't particularly noteworthy, but that doesn't matter much to me since the food is the main focus here. The prices are not low, but that is normal at KBBQ in Berlin and definitely justified here. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for good Korean BBQ!

Very old and neglected restaurant with typical Korean food of average quality

As always, very tasty. My favorite restaurant when it comes to Korean cuisine. Especially So Bulgogi and the Yangnyeom Chicken 😊

Best Korean restaurant in Berlin known to me at this point. Number 51, pork belly and squid is especially good.

This was an absolutely incredible food experience! We were amazed by the quality of the food, all of which is homemade and crafted from scratch. We arrived around 8:30 PM, and even though the restaurant was still busy, the food was served quickly and perfectly prepared. The complimentary appetizer was a delightful surprise—I'm not usually a fan of potatoes, but their potato dish completely won me over. The seafood pancake was another standout; the flour is mixed in-house, and every piece of the pancake contained generous portions of seafood. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! 😊

I visited this restaurant because it was said to be such a good restaurant on Dokyounet. Was it because my expectations were too high, or was today just a very busy day? The sweet and sour pork was really delicious, but the portion was very small. Jjambbong looked like it had a lot of ingredients, but it was plain water. I added kimchi and it just became kimchi soup… The two together cost 34 euros, but the taste was a bit disappointing compared to the price. If I stop by again, I think I will only eat sweet and sour pork.

We had dinner here with the family. We all enjoyed it very much and the portions were more than sufficient. The atmosphere takes some getting used to.

The atmosphere is a bit reminiscent of an open-plan office and everything looks a bit old and cluttered. The food, however, is great! And it's been that way for years. No matter what you order, everything is fresh and authentic. This is also shown by the many Asian guests who come here again and again when visiting Berlin. The prices are absolutely right and the portions are large. Therefore, despite the ambience, a full 5 stars.

Atmospheric place, a la a canteen eatery. Delicious national food. Of course, I didn’t understand much from the names of the dishes, even though the ingredients were written, but you know, you never know what will happen in the end. But it was delicious! Some advice if you are thinking of taking wine, beer, other alcohol or tea. Take some tea. Greater for food and soothes the mouth 😀 Nice and friendly staff!

I was there with my girlfriend and the food was really delicious. The dishes were generously presented. The service was good and quick, but could have been friendlier. The amount is really big. Actually, I thought the amount of raw meat and japchae would be small, so I ordered 5 servings for 4 people, but the portions were really huge!!!!!!! Super authentic Korean food. Highly recommended.

The flavor of the seasoning was so strong that it was difficult to taste the original product. The squid tasted like cheap stir-fried anchovies, and menu number 5 tasted like seolleongtangmyeon ramen. You can go there to get a cheap meal, but if you're looking for food that tastes like food, I really don't recommend it. All three employees in the hall were Chinese. The side dishes were also closer to Chinese style than Korean style.

I love shops like this: plastic tables and cheap chairs but no compromises when it comes to food. Authentic Korean food. If you like Korean, you've come to the right place. My recommendation: wheat tea.

The staff seemed very busy and tired. The staff were friendly, but the food wasn't tasty. The sweet and sour pork was mediocre for the price, but all the dishes with kimchi were not good. Everything from the kimchi served as a side dish to the kimchi pancake and tofu kimchi were not very good. If the stir-fried kimchi at a Korean restaurant doesn't taste good... I guess I should just change the kimchi itself... The kimchi pancake was closer to bindaetteok than pancakes. I went to this place after being recommended, but I was very disappointed.

Authentic, very tasty. Rustic interior but unbeatable value for money. What I never understand: there are four vegetable side dishes/starters for many dishes. But the same amount, regardless of whether you are there with 1, 2 or 3 people.

At first glance the exterior and interior really doesn't impress a lot, but once you get your food, it really doesn't matter! Great BBQ options and plenty of wonderful dishes to share. Special shoutout for the fried chicken and fried sweet-sour pork!

The Guobao Pork is good, but tasty enough. But the barbecue is a bit too sweet and salty, and the side dishes are also too salty.

Craziest service ever! Zero understanding of the German language and English is exactly the same! You get the wrong food and then no one understands what you say! I ordered sweet and sour pork and got tofu with kimchi and then they said I had ordered this dish!

A delicious seasoned chicken restaurant. Kimchi stew not so good. The pork belly is frozen but not that good. Oriros was better. Jjambbong is delicious.

Fantastic Korean restaurant. Ordered the chicken, pork and squid grill and some Korean fried chicken and a couple of wines and beers. 60€. They also accept card payment now.

One of the most authentic Korean restaurants in Berlin. I can only heartily recommend it to every Korean who lives here and is looking for a bit of home in Berlin. The decor is already reminiscent of a traditional restaurant in Seoul, the smell transports you there immediately. All the stars in the world.

Delicious and beautifully authentic. This is what a good Korean must be like. The kimchi is particularly good, the only drawback is the comparatively expensive soju. As a recommendation, it is also good to ask beforehand about the size of the dish in question. Xoxo

The food was very tasty, the Korean cold noodle soup was surprisingly tasty, the children also liked our adult dishes (bulldogs). The place is a bit neglected, a lady's hand would be nice to take care of this restaurant. However, something for something, the prices are very affordable, we paid €63 for meals for 4 people (cold soup, bulldogs with beef, twice fried chicken in sauce and 2 large bottles of water). I recommend :)

Such a gem. We love to come back again and again and try something else. Or just stereotypicly order ketchup chicken. All the soups are super delicious and if i am ever sick the ox tail soup is what i am dreaming about. You cannot go wrong here. It has not beautiful interior, but i feel like that is also part of its charm 😄. Plus is also how long they have open. Just great.

Menu 3 for 4 people is so delicious! In terms of quantity, it's more likely for 5-6 people. Unfortunately, things are often forgotten and the service is a bit slow

Not the best of Korean food I have had in Berlin but it has been great. The environment was kind of out of fashion but maybe it’s more authentic. I definitely will revisit from time to time.

The service attitude is very poor, and the set menu cannot be changed. When I came here before, the waiter brought the wrong soup and the dishes were not served for a long time. I waited for 20 minutes after finishing the meal and had to wait for a long time before the last dish was served.

Hodori and Arirang are restaurants run by the same Yanbian people, and are filthy restaurants with insincere side dishes that are dry and twisted, air-blown rice that is not chewy, and no concept of hygiene in the restaurant environment. The two restaurants, Hodori and Arirang, are run by Chinese people with Korean restaurant signs and are tarnishing the image of Korea, so please do not go there and waste your money.

It was a long time ago when I visited HODORI for the first time. I was lucky enough to visit this place from the Korean 80s with a Korean. Back then I was overwhelmed by the food and atmosphere, years later it is still very good but somehow not as good as it used to be.

Best Korean BBQ in Berlin no cap at all! We took ketchup chicken what is also a Korean traditional dish and that was phenomenal! Also the self cooked beef was good but not the pork belly so much. We took them without marinating because we have been here before and the marinade is so spice that it will make you cry if you do not tolerate spicy food! Otherwise inside is very hot and the fans will not cool you a bit while there is a cooking pan a head of you making more heat. So be prepared to sweat while you cook and it! Otherwise 10/10 food and experience!

The cold noodles can be colder and there are free side dishes

I liked the atmosphere, for me it kinda represented the vibe of a typical old Korean restaurants in K-dramas:) but unfortunately I wasn’t pleased with the food, the ketchup sauce of the chicken was too much for me and the food generally wasn’t that fresh and authentic compared to my previous experiences of Korean chicken.

Conclusion first: I'll be back! Food (ketchup chicken and marinated seafood and chicken) isn't really cheap, but it's incredibly tasty and freshly prepared. The small, free appetizers of sprouts, pickled potatoes, and kimchie were also delicious. In terms of price, the liter bottle of Cola is really great at €5. Service was okay.

The fried dumplings were very soft, just like boiled ones, with no shape and taste. It can be said that the fried noodles have almost no taste, but the portion is large and it’s okay if it’s just to fill your stomach. The Guobao Pork is good and delicious, but the service staff has a bad attitude and works very slowly. Repeated urgings are useless. I waited for at least ten minutes to pay the bill. After urging twice, the service staff was still there wiping other tables. And he put on a dead face, obviously the restaurant was not full at that time 😅 I won’t come again

This place does not look very special. It has poor interior design. But it's not the architectural aspects that are the cause this place is packed everyday. It's actually the kitchen. After getting inside you are presented with a very nicely thought out menu, which is not as overwhelming as in some of the Asian restaurants, but which actually covers the top dishes from the Korean cuisine. One that you don't find often in Berlin Korean shops : O-Ri BBQ (duck). This makes this place to one of the most authentic Korean restaurants in town. It is amazing, really. Pair it with some down-to-earth pajong and addictive KFC (Korean fried chicken) and you are going to be blown away instantly. Pair with So-mek (unfortunately the staff doesn't know what it is so you have to explain you want the soju and a Beer). Shake well for a satisfactory experience.

The food is great. It won't blow your mind, but the price is fair, there are tons of options and the BBQ plates are very good to share with friends. The ketchup chicken is a godsend. The staff is indeed a bit busier / non attentive than one might expect, but if you're not in a hurry you will be totally fine. I go there quite frequently and would highly recommend it!

The taste of the food we ordered is below par. The kimchi Feuertopf lacked umami, fried chicken tasted like Cantonese sweet sour fried pork (koe loe yuk) and seafood pancake was thick in batter with too little seafood. The best was the kimchi banchan. Service was okay. One of the waitresses had an attitude. Our order was taken wrongly and they’ve forgotten the noodles in our kimchi feuertopf. Atmosphere felt like a nice local Korean restaurant.

If you want to try Korean BBQ, this is the place for you.

Mediocre Korean food in an outdated atmosphere and with a male, unfriendly, bored waitress who just slams the food onto the table. Not at all comparable to the times of the original owners, when the quality was still good.

Owners are not Koreans but food were authentic. Really tasty fried chicken, banchans, bbq beef and octopus. Need to say that beef were tender and incredible but octopus changed into gum. Anyway big + because of the best and most authentic kimchi which I ate in Berlin. Interior design a bit old, and it was super hot inside, but can bear it for this food! Service were super nice and friendly too. For sure we will come back. Unfortunately Naenmyeong, cold soup was not available this time, but ⭐️for having it in the menu.
