Seoul Garden (im Prenzlauer Berg) in Berlin

Eigentlich ein sehr schöner Biergarten! Das Konzept ist seit 2024 aber bescheiden! erst steht man an verschiedenen Schlangen, wenn man Wein und Bier haben möchte. Anschließend steht man an der Kasse an und muss Pfand für die Gläser bezahlen, die man später an einem weiteren Extra-Stand abgeben kann/muss. Das Essen ist von der Auswahl auch speziell und überteuert. heute gab es zwischenzeitlich noch ncit einmal Brezeln, was soll ich dann mit Obazda, der eigentlich lecker ist. Ich werde mir wohl einen neuen Biergarten für 2025 suchen.

Leuke biergarten met ontzettend veel plek. De biergarten schenkt eigen bieren van tap. Tevens kunnen er hapjes worden aangeschaft en vanaf 17u is het restaurant in de biergarten open.

The RICE is too small for a stew-like Kimchi stew and soybean paste stew. I think the amount of rice in Doenjang-jjigae and Kimchi-jjigae is too small compared to the amount of stew.. And at the very least, you should fill the already small rice bowls with rice. Even when I added rice, the rice sank somewhere.. I think it would be good to increase the amount of rice a little or change the rice bowls to deeper ones like those used in Korea :) Every time I eat, there is always some stew left over and the rice disappears quickly, which is a bit disappointing. And when I went for lunch, they even gave me side dishes, but on another day, a different waiter took my order and gave me no side dishes?? So I asked in English and they said they only give side dishes for dinner, and I remember feeling a bit awkward. Aside from other things, the taste is similar to the taste of stew in Korea :)

They didn’t bring my order, and it took them two hours to cook the wrong dish. During those two hours, they kept saying it would be ready in two minutes. Despite that, the food my friends had was good.

The portion turned out to be huge for me 😄😄 But this is not a minus at all I tried a lot of Korean food from friends and from the church where I previously studied Korean. But here I really thought that I would lose my makeup 😄 I have long I haven't eaten such spicy food for a long time; in Europe I had already forgotten what spiciness was ))))

Seit Jahrzehnten gehe ich in den Prater und die Lokation überzeugt weiterhin. Die Gästesteuerung ist völlig undurchdacht und mit dem Pfand ist echt nervig. In einem Berliner Biergarten keine Berliner Weiße zu bekommen, geht gar nicht. Der Prater ist so nicht zu empfehlen.

This is my first time writing a bad review. Among the many Korean restaurants I've been to while living in Europe, this was the most strangely unfriendly place. Except for one female employee. I think you know what strange means. Well, it may be obvious, but it is a place that is friendlier to locals. I got the feeling that Koreans discriminated against Koreans. I don't know why you feel superior, but I want you to know that we are guests too. Aren’t Korean tourists who don’t speak German not guests? This is a place where everything about personnel, attitude, and responses is not good. Please take note.

We visited on a weekday evening. I feel like they were short-staffed, the waiter was not particularly friendly, and we waited at least 40 minutes for our food. The main dish and kimchi were excellent, the soup was lukewarm when it should have been hot.

Highly recommended. Food is very good, bibimbab comes very typically in a black clay pot, very hot. Side dishes taste very good and varied Price is pleasant.

Amazing food, if you like it spicy, that’s definitely the place. But there are lots of non-spicy options too.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The service was relatively slow and inattentive. The food was quite weak. The chicken didn't taste well cooked, but they recooked it upon request, but it still tasted extremely suspect. Since I now have a stomach ache, I think something's wrong. When an Asian restaurant (here, even though all the Koreans spoke Chinese) can't even make rice, it's rather sad.

Sadly this was Disappointing all around. bad service. The food came out at completely separate times, you have to repeat things constantly, they don’t take away food that you’re done with. Probably understaffed and poorly managed.

Very nice Korean restaurant within walking distance from Mauerpark. At the beginning of March, you can already sit at a table outside. At the same time, at 1:00 PM the restaurant is in the shade, not in direct sunlight. The service is fast. The portions are generously sized, Berlin-style. Even dishes that are not spicy on the menu are served with kimchi and another spicy sauce. We liked everything.

The food was great! We had the korean bbq n1 and n2! And the kimchi Jjigae, very delicious as an addition! The bbq had alot of meat and a good amount of veggies and side dishes. The service was not very explanatory about the dish, so if it is your first time trying it, maybe ask how it is supposed to be cooked or eaten. The main restaurant is cute but the area where you can eat the bbq dishes looks abit run down. So if vibe and cozyness is important to you then only have non bbq dishes.

This is one of the best Korean restaurants you can enjoy abroad. The taste of the food is just the beginning; the atmosphere and service are also very satisfying. If you're ever in Berlin, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Personally, I loved the bibimbap and spicy squid.

The very “simple” setup makes it feel a bit uncomfortable. But the food makes up for it. The range of drinks could be a little more extensive. But still recommended.

Super authentic Korean - just by entering the place, the wonderful scents make you feel like being teleported to Korea. The dishes come in beautiful brass bowls and all come with the typical assortment of home-made sides. The Bibimbap is spectacular, with all types of pickled and steamed veggies plus homemade hot sauce - just ambling from one flavour to the next can turn a miserable day into a happy one. Very generous portions, very fresh; nice and simple Berlin style interior, with good seating. Very friendly staff, they know what they are doing, and they do it well. Every time I go, at least one table is occupied by happy Korean speakers. The Bibimbap costs a little more than next door, but what you get is incomparably better. Great value for money. Highly recommended. A lot of great vegan options, too.

Today I spontaneously went to dinner with my girlfriend in the Seoul Garden. We ordered bibimbap twice and loved it! We were particularly impressed by the selection of different side dishes. All in all a real gem in Prenzlauer Berg. We'll definitely be back - but next time with a reservation!

I've been to Korean restaurants in many countries. As for the atmosphere, this place is really nice!! The outdoor terrace is large and comfortable!! The serving staff was also very friendly. Bibimbap and pork rice bowl taste great The duck kimchi and cabbage soup as side dishes were delicious!

Good Asian restaurants are not something anyone associates with Berlin and the Seoul Garden in Oderberger Straße is no exception. After growing up in the Asian region I was keen to try Seoul Kitchen. The restaurant always seemed full, and the reviews were positive. Alas, the food was totally uninteresting. I eventually abandoned my chilli squid, which was just a mess of hot chilli sauce, rice, lots of onions and a few pieces of small squid thrown in. My companions did fare much better with their dishes, reporting their meals as super bland. We did not try the BBQ options. Unlike other reviewers, I was also not really convinced about the service. The servers were friendly enough. But we had to ask twice for someone to clear away the dishes.

Tasty and reasonably priced Korean food made with fresh ingredients. Plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. A large group of us (11 people) visited for lunch on a weekday without a reservation and had no trouble being served. Service was great.

The food is excellent but omg the service 🥺🥺🥺. Go for good food but don’t expect to leave happy. Thoroughly depressing.

I went there by chance because the place seemed nice to me and I was not disappointed! I had the lunch dish for only 14 euros with a large quantity of food. The flavors were present. I therefore recommend this place! However, it is necessary to wave at the waiters several times to order, which can be a bit unpleasant.

I went to eat with a work-related group, and it was really delicious and the space was better than expected, so I had a great time. The food was really neat and delicious. They even sell grilled pork belly. There were a lot of people, so I ate inside, but there was a soccer game on the day I went, so there were people at the outdoor tables. There were a lot. The outdoor table atmosphere looks really nice. Next time, I want to go personally and sit outside and eat!

First of all, the dishes are a mess. If you touch the area around the soup bowl with your hand, the stains are still there, and the stains are still there on both sides of the plate. The stir-fried pork and sundae soup smelled like pork, so I kept eating and spitting it out, and then I just left it all. Only go if you don't mind being dirty and don't mind the fishy smell of pork.

After ten years in LA living with a myriad of Korean restaurant options it’s hard to be without! Seoul Garden really did take me back in a way - great banchan, actually nicely spicy kimchis, very good veggie pancake with super affable kind service. So far this is the best Korean food I’ve had in Berlin :) I do wish they’d have a few of my other favorite dishes - Ojingeo-bokkeum, Sujebi and Kalguksu - but maybe they will read this and add them.. 😂

In principle, I love Asian cuisine and everything just came together here - the service is good, the food is good, and the presentation is good. Unfortunately, I haven’t been to Seoul, but it seems to me that the food in this place is as close as possible to the original.

I was here for dinner on a weekend. I ordered bulgogi for one person. Although this place is famous in the region, I have to say that I found the taste below the Berlin average. The meat was quite tough and not particularly tasty. I wanted to replace the rice with rice noodles but was told that wasn't possible. The rice had a completely neutral taste. The kimchi on the side was almost non-existent 😅This really surprised me because Korean restaurants are usually very generous in this regard.

Cozy and fast... You can sit inside and outside, it's beautiful when it arrive. It's around 15€ each dish but i would say it's worth to try. Accept card and is full on the weekends

The bibimbap was quite nice but not as hot as I hoped while being served in hot bowl.

We ordered (1) seafood tofu soup which was tasteless; (2) spicy squid rice with almost no-squid pieces; (3) beef steak for grilling, meats weren’t very fresh. Side dishes were tasty and rice was well cooked. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant/branch in Prenzlauerberg, not worth for what you paid ( but the original one at Charlottenburg was good.)

we ordered two bibimbap’s (one classic and one with tofu) it was sooo good that we just inhaled it in silence(yeah thats right) we also got a soup and 4 banchan’s (side dishes) that blew ours minds!( especially the sweet potatoes ones) highly recommended for a nice date or just for a meeting with fresh or family! my top 10 places in Berlin

Generous serving for what you pay and strong flavours. Generous serving of sesame oil with their beef and rice. Hardworking service staff and they serve tap water if you’re environmentally conscious.

Shame on you Seoul Garden. We called to book a table for 5 people at this place on 19th of July, 2024. We reserved our place for 19.00 and arrived at 19.20. We have seen our name on the table we booked and sat to wait for service. The waitress came and first acknowledged. Then she came again to tell us that we have to get up and wait despite the reservation because we are late (No letting us know that we should call even if we are late for 20 mins, no calling us to check why we are late). We explained to her that this is unacceptable and rude to get someone leave the table and wait. We sat there for 20-25 mins and they never attended us. We then checked and they said they won’t serve. I have never seen such ridicilous and rude behavior in my life anywhere. Not sure about the food because we did not deserve to taste :) Definitely not coming back and will actively share the story.

My absolute favorite restaurant!! I particularly like the many side dishes that come with the meal. Can't compete with other Korean restaurants. Fantastic food at a great price on a beautiful street with friendly service. What more do you want?

We had a group meeting of about 15 people on Friday evening. The place was set up perfectly for a meeting. The food was absolutely delicious too! I ordered salmon raw rice bowl and my companion ordered chicken rib rice bowl. I was satisfied with the fresh salmon and vegetables and plenty of toppings. There is a variety of menus such as rice bowls, stews, and noodle soup, so I recommend it if you are craving Korean food.

One of the worst food, soup comes with finger thick oil and plastic particles in it. Moreover, tries to scare people by suing for honest and factual reviews. No wonder this place has high rating.

The dish I got was described in the menu as rice with oyster mushrooms and champignons, vegetables and tofu (M9). Sounded all good until I got what I got. 😞 Massive amounts of rice, 2 small thin slices of carrots, less than one oyster mushroom cut in slices, no champignons, massive amounts of tofu and onions. The proper description of what I got would be: A plate of rice with tofu and onions with half oyster mushroom as garnish. No kidding! See the picture attached. The pink thing is the rice… no vegetables… minimal amount of mushrooms… lots of rice…lots of onions… 😔

This is a great place to stop by when you want to eat Korean food while traveling! It was nice to be able to taste spicy Korean flavor amid greasy Western food. If I travel again, I think I will come back to eat Korean food when I feel like it!

This is a Korean restaurant I go to every time I stop by Berlin. The overall taste is pretty good, so you won't go wrong no matter what menu you order. The staff were friendly and I had a pleasant meal.

Ordered bimbimbap, although the beef wasn't bad, the rice was really mushy. You pay an extra euro to get the bimbimbap in a bowl, but it isn't even a stone bowl rather some kind of plastic.

Food is great! Bulgogi set was delicious and more than filling. Dinner time is super busy and getting attention of the servers was difficult. Sadly there were only two of them serving a large crowd so it's understandable. Missed a part of my order. Atmosphere is okay, seating outside is fun if the weather is good.

I wrote an honest review, but they reported my review to Google as defamation and deleted it. This is the secret to maintaining ratings here. Haha, there were definitely a few more negative reviews before mine, but they all disappeared. This is absurd. If you keep requesting that the review be deleted, we will take legal action. And we will spread it to other communities as well. Everyone already knows, but why bother making enemies? If you're going to give it a try, keep doing it. If you stay still, you can go halfway

Not authentic Korean. Run by Vietnamese. Therefore the dishes are slightly different. Still with ok food and ambience. You can do it. But not worth repeating.

Waren dort zum EM Fußball, super Stimmung gut organisiert. Haxe war stabil aber nix besonderes. Liegt gut, kann man jederzeit machen.

Ubicado al sur del Friedrich - Ludwig - Jahn - Sportpark y al oeste de Schönhauser Allee, este jardín de cerveza albergaba más de 600 asientos en un patio rodeado de castaños. ¡Creo que tiene el título del jardín de cerveza más antiguo de Berlín! La configuración - fue genial - un concepto de autoservicio simple con cerveza local que se cobra en torno a 5 € por 0. 5 l (cada vaso llevaba una tarifa adicional de 2 €, que se le reembolsará si devuelve el vaso con una ficha roja emitida). El asiento era lo suficientemente cómodo - mesas de picnic de madera estándar, algunos de los cuales estaban protegidos y otros expuestos (suerte del sorteo). Había televisores que mostraban el Fútbol, pero estaban muy extendidos esporádicamente y desafortunadamente, durante nuestra visita, hubo problemas técnicos. Se produjo un éxodo masivo hasta que un Electricista salvó el día, consiguiendo que el proyector principal en la tienda trabajara. Logramos conseguir un asiento dentro de ella, pero era como un horno! Logró conseguir algo de comida durante la visita también y la opción popular fue el Shank en una cama de Sauerkraut. Mira la foto - que resume lo bueno que era! Bien vale la pena el coste de 10 €. Sin duda un contendiente para nuestra parada de cerveza favorita, fuera con la zona de fans. Un poco de aire acondicionado y un sistema de televisión más confiable habría visto una calificación de cinco, pero un respetable 4 / 5 sin embargo.

Of all the Korean restaurants I've been to, the quality of pork belly was most similar to what you get in Korea.

Vi fandt stedet en varm eftermiddag i juni. Vi bestilte en fadøl og en radler fra fad. Der er to euro i pant pr. glas. Det var muligt at sidde både i solen og i skyggen. Man må ikke tage egne drikkevarer og mad. Børnene løb rundt og legede mellem bordene og det er et virkelig hyggeligt sted at slappe af med en øl. De har mad, men udvalget er ikke ret stort eller vegetarvenligt. Men de har gode pretzels.

Cuando estés en Berlín, haz lo que hacen los lugareños... Claramente este lugar es uno de los favoritos locales. Una vibra tan impresionante en una tarde - noche de primavera. El lugar es una colmena de actividad y conversación, líneas para cervezas, líneas para un embutido, líneas para devolver los vasos... Por supuesto, tuve que unirme a las líneas. Era una noche cálida, pero la cerveza estaba fría ... y con mostaza + salsa de tomate goteando del plato, me lo pasé bien la gente - mirando mientras comía salchicha en un rollo.

This place is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. It blew my mind!

The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The service however is one of the worst I've experienced in Berlin (considering how bad it can be in Berlin). We've been here when the restaurant was quite busy. The waiters pause taking orders in such cases, instead of keep taking them and letting the kitchen pace themselves. As a result, ordering takes ages, tables who came after us ordered before, calling a waiter and ask anything also requires more attempts, since they often seem to avoid looking at the customers at all, almost avoiding them. The tables around us were also visibly frustrated with the service, with some customers canceling orders and complaining which made the whole lunch even more a negative experience.

the waiters are clueless and can not provide a simple service of taking orders. They asked us to wait when we are already seated and refused to take our orders because “their kitchen is full”. Have absolutely no knowledge in how restaurants services work and save yourself the time there are plenty of other Korean restaurants out there that respects their customers with better food.
