It's a shame, they left a lot of points behind. The location is great; my girlfriend had a view of the Baltic Sea. The staff was actually really good, but you always had to signal that they were coming to your table, regardless of whether you were ordering more or paying. My meal was very good, but my girlfriend's pasta wasn't so good. We also didn't understand why there were glasses of ouzo on the table when they didn't serve ouzo. We ended up ordering two. I want to emphasize, though, that this isn't a given. So, many missed opportunities, but still highly recommended. Best regards, Andre

Very good restaurant, with an exceptionally good waiter

The food and drinks are very expensive. In my opinion, the food doesn't reflect the price. Since I don't often pay by card, I was very suspicious when they presented me with the payment machine and offered me the option to tip between 10%, 20%, or 30%. I hadn't heard of that before. I find it quite questionable to ask for such a large tip at such high prices. My initial, very good impression was, of course, significantly diminished. I wouldn't go there again.

Regular Greek cuisine, but the prices are quite high. I also had stomach problems afterward, perhaps due to the fatty food.

Portions rather small, but quality ok

Service was not good; drinks took longer than the appetizer; white wine was room temperature; seated in the middle of the room despite a reservation, much too cramped; food was not exactly outstanding.

For these prices you can expect better and at least fresh food.

The main course was OK. The setting and service were good. The standard side salad and tzatziki tasted like "bucket" or "industrial" fare. That's a real shame. Tips are expected.

Yes, you can go there. Everything happens quickly: seating, ordering food and drinks. Everything comes very quickly, too. The food could be hotter, the gyro meat could be cooked a bit more. You can see the individual layers and the layers of fat.

We hadn't been to Hellas at its new location for a few years, but we still remember the previous restaurant in the Teepott. By chance, the opportunity arose to stop by again. A friendly welcome, we got a table in the evening even without a reservation, and the food was excellent. I should also mention that we also eat at other Greek restaurants about twice a month, so we can compare. You can't get a decent meal for under €20 anywhere else, and it generally tends to be closer to €30. Having fun costs money. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic; everything is made with great attention to detail and creates a high-quality impression. Add to that the fantastic view of the sea. The food and drinks arrived promptly and, above all, tasted delicious. Thank you very much.

Very tasty gyros and souvlaki, nice Greek decor and very friendly staff.

The food was okay and tasty. We had the classic gyro. Ouzo is also usually offered with the bill here. We told the waiter that we don't drink alcohol and would prefer a small espresso. He declined and said we'd be charged for it. So, here, too, the courtesy is "alcohol only." There was no bread, oil, or butter to start with. What a pity! In many other places, you can get an espresso without any problems. The outdoor tables on the terrace didn't look inviting.

We had reserved a table for four people on the evening of August 16, 2025. We had to wait about 55 minutes for the food. The heat was only moderate. We also had to wait an inordinately long time for the second round of cocktails. When we requested a service receipt, we were forgotten again, so we ended up paying the bill as we left the restaurant. Perhaps the rotating service system should be reconsidered.

Unfortunately, I can only recommend this place with very limited reservations. The supposed view of the dunes is blocked by undergrowth. The portion size and quality of the food left a lot to be desired. I paid a total of €25 for hard, dry calamari with plain lettuce (apart from one tomato (let's be honest, that's not really salad. The definition of salad is: "a cold dish made with various marinades or dressings, made from [shredded] lettuce, fruit, fresh or cooked vegetables, meat, sausage, fish, etc.," with the emphasis on "various")), and I had to pay extra for the potatoes!? I'm still hungry (obviously!). The service, however, was standardly friendly, and they offered a small amount of free ouzo, but the restrooms were dirty, and I'd say that balances it out. In general, I'd recommend trying your luck at the Italian restaurant, or even better, the steakhouse next door. Enjoy your meal and happy saving (while eating steak, of course) :).

The food is truly freshly prepared. The restaurant isn't cheap, but if you're looking for a pleasant atmosphere, this is the place to be. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Thank you for the stay.

A view of Warnemünde's dunes, a good glass of wine (or more), great service, and outstanding food. Hellas is always a must-visit for me. And one of the best Greek restaurants I know. Possibly even the best. Go there. You won't regret it.

Great food, great location, good service

Here, you pay a lot for the view. Unfortunately, it's quite dated. My meat wasn't cooked through, and after serving, they didn't even ask if everything was okay. As compensation, he offered an espresso or ice cream. Too bad I was already full. We had requested ketchup and mayo separately. Unfortunately, they didn't serve it. When we asked, the waiter said he had them in sachets. In sachets? I expect the mayo and ketchup to be served in a small bowl in such an expensive restaurant! And to top it all off, another waiter chats at you about "his experiences" with arrogant customers. Well, we don't recommend it.

We visit here at least once a year. Each time, we received very friendly service. We always enjoyed the food. Depending on the day and time of year, a reservation may be recommended. The location and view are unbeatable. There's a parking garage just around the corner. We'd love to come back. 👍

We visited Hellas again. A beautiful location, great and fast service, and super delicious, tasty Greek food. All in all, a great restaurant, we'd love to go back.

The reception was amazing. We received maximum support and a warm welcome from all the available men on the team, including our disabled father. It was an impressive welcome. The first great impression continued with the service. The guys there are great at providing service and warmth! The girls certainly are too. But we only interacted with young men that evening... 😉 All the food was delicious, as were the diverse drinks! The Greek draft beer is highly recommended. Fresh and mild. The food was perfect and very tasty. At the end, we were even allowed to take an unofficial exit, as it's wheelchair accessible. Thank you for the wonderful stay with delicious food and outstanding service! Highly recommended. Keep it up!

As a Rostock resident, this is a well-known restaurant in a perfect setting. Right near the beach... The food tastes great and the portions are generous. Prices are fair. Definitely a recommendation if you want to try Greek cuisine in Warnemünde!

Our starter: grilled pepperoni for "only" €14.90, but it tasted amazing!! The only thing we can recommend!!! Main course: Gyros with souvlaki & chicken breast with Metaxa... Unfortunately, neither was good! ...gyros were dry, rice and tzatziki were worthless, and the Metaxa cheese was just a pile of Metaxa, completely unacceptable. Typical Greek restaurant with very good cuisine... beautiful ambience right on the Warnemünde promenade, great and attentive service.

We were at Hellas in May 2025 and were appalled. Our food was cold and tasteless, and when I mentioned it to our waiter, he said they were understaffed. No refunds, no replacements—he wanted to bring anise schnapps instead. I'm there for the food, not to be fobbed off with schnapps. Then there was some loud and very unpleasant assistant wandering around, a rude person who's perfectly fine at a Berliner sausage stand, but this kind of presentation in Warnemünde, shouting his Frankfurt Oder life story across a terrace, is unacceptable. No class. Not for us anymore!

The location right on the Warnemünde promenade is simply great. The view of the dunes and the Baltic Sea is simply fantastic. The service is very attentive and courteous. The ambience as a Greek restaurant is classy and beautiful.

This 5 star rating is based primarily on the nicest waiter I have ever experienced! I was there with my 3.5 year old son and he made us feel really welcome right from the start. He was so friendly, accommodating and attentive! And there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. Thank you for the great service.

We tried to spontaneously get a place in Warnemünde, but it was absolutely difficult. We found what we were looking for in Hellas. And the food was absolutely top. The atmosphere and staff are super attentive and open. You immediately felt comfortable. Yes the price is a little higher than what we were used to, but the food was absolutely worth it.

A few years ago we ate at the Hellas Restaurant and were thrilled. I can't say that anymore. Fast food, hectic process. We were allowed to share a piece of garlic bread, a little larger than a toast bread, between two of us. You could have said beforehand that it was just one piece. Prices overpriced. We heard similar things from other tables... We'd rather go a few steps further.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Hellas restaurant in Warnemünde was a disappointment. I had gyros, but the taste was little like what you'd expect from a good Greek restaurant. It was more like meat from a doner kebab skewer sold as gyros – completely bland and lacking the typical seasoning. The rice was also bland. What you'd expect from a Greek restaurant – hearty, well-seasoned food – was unfortunately missing here. The only thing that impressed me was the fast service.

Very friendly, unfortunately the food wasn't particularly good. Souflaki, gyros and the like are probably mass-produced and kept warm for a long time. When the food you ordered is on the table within 5 minutes, you feel like you're in a fast food restaurant. Unfortunately, in terms of food, the worst Greek so far.

The food arrived very quickly (5 minutes), which doesn't exactly speak for its freshness. Unfortunately, the Metaxa sauce didn't really taste like Metaxa sauce, and the tzatziki barely had any garlic flavor. Overall, the dishes were very lightly seasoned, which is unusual for Greek cuisine. The staff was very friendly.

I ordered a large gyro plate without tzatziki (I had customer appointments the next day). The gyro was very crispy and still juicy! Yummy!

We were very disappointed, no salad plate before the main course, no Uzo to greet us, Metaxa sauce was more reminiscent of Bolognese and as thick as pudding, just like the Metaxaspaghettie, more like Bolognese, sorry and I also had birth. But there was no serenade for me, a shame!!!!

We, a family of 5 (4 adults, 1 small child), made reservations by phone. Unfortunately, the first obstacle was right at the beginning, stairs without a ramp (possibly there is another entrance somewhere), so carrying a stroller (what are wheelchair users doing?). We were able to swap our table because there was better space for the children's chair. Food arrived 1 hour after ordering... Food: In short, this needs improvement. The lamb shank had no seasoning, the liver was dry, the gyros had hardly any taste, etc. Service: As already described, after 1 hour we got the main course, the starter plate had long been eaten. The waiter threw a glass of water over us, no apology, no compensation. Otherwise everything without “love” Ambience: corresponds to the expectations of a Greek restaurant, nothing special. Unfortunately the changing room was not heated. Conclusion: A lot of money for poor quality and hardly any Greek warmth.

Always nice with the boys in Hellas. Everyone is very friendly and the selection also suits us for lunch. The price-performance ratio is very good. This time we went for lunch.

Food is overpriced for the size and taste. There is no such thing as free ouzo. In short: you can do it, but there are much better Greek restaurants in Berlin.

So spontaneously on a short vacation and despite the restaurant being full, I managed to get a place for two. A really friendly, casual and really quick-witted restaurant manager. Truly a cool sock, always a quick but always polite saying on the cheeky lip. A Maik... 🤣 The gyro was super tender and crispy. Our meal: Hercules 500… 500g of meat… barely manageable but definitely worth the money. Here we cook with love and welcome and treat guests with heart. We recommend you!!

I won't come back. The worst gyros I've ever eaten. Meat dry and hard, fries hard, cold, coleslaw from the discounter pack, tzatziki with the consistency of Nivea Creme and with little taste, bread? Rice? None. Overall just boring and bad. Not really cheap at 20 euros.
