Super tasty and reasonable portion

There were 4 of us. Eating on site. Ambiance is typical Greek style. The food is fresh and good. Unfortunately it's not enough for 5 stars. Service staff was super nice.

We chose this restaurant based on the reviews and the fact that we were staying across the street at the Price Radisson Hotel... A mistake! There are definitely better Greek restaurants in Rostock... We started with an absolutely substandard salad... Any bag of salad from a discount store beats this by far, even without the dressing! We were hungry, so we chose a plate of Crete Piato (gyros, minced steak, skewers, and side dishes). The quantity was quite okay, but the prepared dishes were beyond the pale of a restaurant; some grilled food joints do it better. The tzatziki was most likely from a Metro bucket. The so-called potato wedges were some kind of half-cooked, fried potatoes from the freezer... A shame, maybe I should have gone for fries like my colleague. All in all, we were full, but not really good. To praise: excellent espresso! Absolutely Italian quality!!

The location by the harbor is certainly beautiful in summer when you can sit outside. The interior, however, is rather cool and functionally furnished with typical Greek accents. The service was first-class. The food had a somewhat German feel. The tzatziki lacked flair. The gyros weren't roasted enough and had little seasoning. It simply lacked flair. It was a run-of-the-mill Greek restaurant, so to speak. The baked feta cheese was good, though. The prices here have also gone up quite a bit... well, like almost everywhere since inflation.

Very nice restaurant with average food. Simple and good. Recommended for families with children.

Food, service, everything was great

Today we visited the restaurant "Der Grieche" at Warnowufer 60 in Rostock and were completely satisfied. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, which made our stay very pleasant. The food and drinks were delicious and authentically prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the great view of the harbor, which we were able to enjoy during our meal. Overall, a recommendable Greek restaurant with a nice atmosphere.

We sat at a small table for two, unfortunately a waiter kept taking my chair. What was very annoying was that the table was moved further towards the door, but unfortunately that was of no use. The food was very good

Unser Kurzaufenthalt in Rostock führte uns zu diesem Griechen. Das Restaurant wird professionell im Sinne des Inhabers geführt. Die Lage am Wasser erlaubt offenbar auch den etwas arroganten Ton dort. Wir empfehlen es nicht weiter.

However, the food tastes very intense in terms of price. So do the drinks. Half a liter of beer up to 6 euros! It is also very loud because there are hardly any partitions and many tables.

The restaurant was packed. There were four of us and we got the last table. Given the abundance, we thought, well, that could take a long time. Far from it. The waiter came to our table pretty quickly and picked up the drinks. They were there in no time. Our food came about 10 minutes later. That was so delicious!!! Well, the prices are a little higher, but you also get great food on your plate and friendly service. If we are in Rostock again, we will definitely come back. The food is good, the portions have shrunk significantly. The volume is high, soundproofing elements would help. The service is OK, but the waiting time is often long. Price/performance unfortunately overall not satisfactory.

It was simply delicious. We just "came in" with 13 people and we were lucky. I was particularly impressed that all the main courses were served at the same time. We had a very cozy and delicious evening.

The food is good, tzatziki was great, meat was a bit drier, but good for Greek cuisine. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was quick and courteous. The ambience is quite ok, people sit close together, the menu is printed on the table. This saves space and you can order straight away.

Very nice restaurant right on the Warnow with friendly staff. Supplements can be changed at no extra charge, thank you! What is missing for the 5th star is that, despite 35 euros per person, there was no ouzo on the house, which is actually common practice in Greek restaurants.

Chosen spontaneously because there were a lot of posts about good food. We were thrilled, great service, delicious food and great ambience…and clean toilets 👍

From the outside the restaurant appears rather technical. Inside you can expect a Greek atmosphere with a terrace overlooking the water. The menu as part of the table is functional but somehow strange. What made me decide not to deduct points was: The service, quick and pleasant. The beer, Greek on tap. The salad, not cold from the fridge but moderately tempered before eating. And the absolute highlight: the tzatziki. Creamy, fluffy, noble. Better than in Greece.

After a short wait, four of us got a table on Saturday evening. The restaurant was very busy. But we thought it was tasty where many people go out to eat. I ordered a salad with chicken strips. My companions all have the gyro plate. I got my salad, ate a piece of chicken and gagged. The chicken was pale, ice cold and smelled like a raw carrot (so it was raw and undercooked). I called the waiter who took my salad. Then his superior, the head waiter (?), came. He argued with me. Of course the chicken was done, you would see that and of course it was cold and not warm, after all it is a cold salad. He offered me to heat or fry the meat again. A short time later I got my plate (yes, exactly my plate and not a fresh salad) again with the same meat but now dripping with oil. It was lukewarm...and still not done. I put it aside and ate the rest of the salt, which unfortunately was only mediocre. The dressing and the coleslaw were Konvinience products. My companions said their gyros were good, but the tzatziki was a curd dish with no garlic and little cucumber and hardly any herbs. When I was clearing away, the waiter also apologized for the meat I had left behind and offered us an ouzo as an apology. We're still waiting for it today... But because of the constant bad smell coming from the guest toilet right next to us, we didn't ask anymore. Well, I can't recommend the restaurant with the best will in the world.

We visited this restaurant again for lunch after a long time. The reception was friendly and there was enough space to choose freely. I chose the classic gyro version with rice. The drinks and the food were served in a reasonable time. The first visual impression of my plate was disappointing. The gyro was not crispy and only lukewarm, as was the rice. Conclusion: We know Greeks to be more appealing at this price level Serve dishes.

Can only recommend it. Different excursion recommendations for hikers and cyclists every day.

If you like Greek restaurants, this is the place for you. The menu offers a full program and the quality is good. The service is quick. If the weather is good you can sit outside. Since it is often busy, it can be quite loud due to inconsiderate guests.

Food was great, waiters very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, there were no more drinks from 10 p.m. without prior notice; this was only communicated when we wanted to order more drinks. It seemed like an indirect expulsion. Ouzo was no longer available either. It's a shame and a reason for us not to go there anymore, as our evening with friends came to a somewhat abrupt end. Then it's better to find another location where you are still welcome after 10 p.m.

Spontaneously got a table for 3 on a Saturday at 6:30 p.m. It was very full, it took a short time until we were served - but it was still relatively quick to drink, start and main course. The boss personally even apologized that it took a little longer today. From the drinks to the food, everything was very tasty and well prepared. Also a great price-performance ratio. Were there for the first time and can only recommend it!

It was very nice, we had ordered seats because otherwise we definitely wouldn't have gotten seats. It's amazing how many people are out and about and are drawn to the Greek restaurant. This was our first time at this Greek restaurant. The food was very tasty, although many of the dishes on offer were not typical dishes that I would go to a Greek restaurant for. The service was less hospitable and one quickly had the feeling of mass processing. However, the location directly at the city harbor was very good.

Very nicely located restaurant on the water. Courteous staff, polite and considerate. We are also happy about an “efaristo” and “kalinichta” for a small tip. Unfortunately we were only there on vacation.

We chose a table outside. The menu is right on the table here, so you can find out as you walk by whether there is something suitable for your taste buds. In my opinion the gyros would have been... Can be a little more fried, the ouzo is at the end. Some dishes come with a salad beforehand. The garlic bread was delicious! The two gentlemen who served us were very friendly and the view of the harbor is great!

A great Greek restaurant with family management. All dishes were fresh and very tasty. It's worth a visit.

We stopped in for a quick snack. Zarziki and meatballs was our choice. You can say it tastes good. Wheelchair accessible and the toilets clean. Staff friendly and nice. Another visit cannot be ruled out.

We had quite a good meal here and the staff were very attentive. Overall, a Greek like any other and you get what you expect. When it comes to prices, there are alternatives with a nicer ambience.

We liked the atmosphere and service. But the food didn't convince us. Starting with salad, gyros in Metaxa sauce and a grill plate. The meat from the grill was cold and I know gyros in Metaxa sauce worlds better from other Greeks. We imagined potato wedges differently, they were halved potatoes that I think were briefly fried.

Big surprise: you usually know several Greek restaurants. But this is a revelation. We came here by chance while staying in Rostock. What great food, delicious wine and incredibly nice service! You would like to spend a week on holiday here. Too bad, today was the only day. But we'll be back. Promised!
