Restaurant Heidekrug in Hanstedt

Very tasty food, especially the currywurst 😉

What follows: nitpicking at a high level! It was once again a truly lovely evening in a previously unknown restaurant. The ambiance was almost a bit too over-the-top for my personal taste in terms of decor. But only almost. Because it suited the building and the cuisine, you felt very comfortable. The staff was friendly and on the ball. You have to give them credit. The food wasn't delayed for long and was served quite quickly. Three people with three different dishes, and they were all plentiful and really well-made. The meat was cooked to perfection, the fried potatoes were crispy, and so on. Only the dessert menu could have perhaps a couple of more items. Maybe a waffle or something like that on top. All in all, a restaurant with good German cuisine where you can easily while away the time at the table or at the small bar with a drink and a chat. It's definitely good value for money!

I would definitely come back. There were five of us and three dogs, two of them large. One of them is vegan. She also came away happy and full. There are a few dishes that are vegan or can be made vegan. The food was delicious. Grade B. For my taste, the sauces were a bit boring. But it was still tasty. A swap, for example, a different sauce or potatoes instead of pasta, was no problem at all and didn't cost extra. The prices are okay. A bit higher, but quite normal these days and in rural areas. The value for money was definitely good. The dogs were given fresh water and even a treat at the end. I would definitely describe the restaurant as dog-friendly. The service was super friendly. We had a table in the garden despite the 25-degree heat. It's right on the main village road, so it was a bit noisy at times, but it was really okay and within reason. For my taste, tablecloths on the plastic tables and maybe a flower and a candle or two would have been nice. It's kind of standard for a restaurant like this. But that might just be a matter of taste. The ambiance is okay, though. It could have been improved with lighting and such. So, it's more of a grade of 3. The chairs are also very heavy, at least outside. All in all, we had a lovely evening there and will definitely come back.

A very cozy, rustic restaurant with a special flair. The half-timbered house is a sight to behold, both inside and out. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is extremely delicious, very plentiful, and also very well seasoned. I was pleased that the food was served piping hot! All in all, highly recommended!

We ate a spectacular Wiener schnitzel on the lawn in the shade of a tree.

Very tasty schnitzel! The best we've had recently. The portions were very generous, and above all, everything was freshly prepared. The ambiance is super rustic. The service was also very friendly. We'll definitely be back soon.

The two of us sat outside. The area is a large garden, with most of the tables on the grass. Trees provide shade. The area is separated from the town's main road by plants. You can hear and see traffic, but it's not a problem. To get to the restroom, you have to walk halfway around the building and through the main entrance, which has three steps.

Very delicious food. We had asparagus with schnitzel and the steak pan. The food was served exceptionally quickly. Absolutely fantastic value for money... Thank you.

My new top restaurant. I've been there three times now and I'm incredibly happy. We come every two months now, and we each drive more than 40 km.

I can recommend the Heidekrug. The food was very tasty. The service was excellent. A big downside for me is that I had to pay extra for the small portion of fried potatoes I asked for at the end of the meal. I've previously gotten a small second helping for free elsewhere.

The price-performance ratio is not optimal; service could be friendlier and more responsive to customer requests.

The Heidekrug is a typical German restaurant. The menu contains exactly what you would expect. The interior is full of old decorations and pictures. The food came quickly but didn't offer anything special.

A great restaurant on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath. The restaurant is quite small, so it's best to reserve a table in advance. The service was very friendly. A large selection of dishes. I had a delicious tomato soup and three meat fillets. Everything was very tasty and beautifully presented. There was beef, pork, and turkey fillet. The interior is beautifully decorated and a welcoming place to spend time. We'll definitely be back.

We were looking for a nice, classic, German dinner and found Heidekrug in Hanstedt. It is the typical inn in the country. Traditionally furnished, with a consistently German menu. The reception and service were very friendly. The service was quick without giving the feeling of being rushed, even though it was busy on the weekend. As a starter we had onion soup, nicely gratinated with cheese and strong in taste. The main course was the daily recommendation of duck and the roulades. Both perfect. The duck was tender and juicy, as were the roulades but without being overcooked. The side dishes were also convincing. Finally fried potatoes that are crispy!!! For dessert we had the red jelly. Not too sweet but wonderfully fruity. An absolute recommendation

A nice place to have a meal. The beer garden is large enough and clear. Lovingly placed corner for children with a sandbox that can be covered. The service was very friendly. The homemade sour meat was excellent and the fried potatoes were crispy and delicious. The thickness of the fried potatoes was very narrow, estimated to be 3x the thickness of potato chips, but the preparation was simply great. Every part was brown, crispy and savory. A must-try for every fried potato lover. It's best to order 2 portions at once. I found my portion to be a bit undersized. The atmosphere in the inn is rather staid but nice.

Five of us were there for dinner. Three different dishes and all were top. The dishes were plentiful. The service was quick and very friendly. Really recommended.

We were on vacation for a week in the Lüneburg Heath 😀, we had already checked out the economy in advance and were not disappointed 👍. We've been there often for dinner during this time, with friends and family. Plenty of food on offer and a variety of dishes at fair prices. Staff very friendly and helpful, with advance reservation or sometimes the same, we were always able to get a nice place. The beer garden is cozy with plenty of shade. We always felt very comfortable and welcome ☺️. Thank you very much for that 👌

Absolutely recommended, the Heidekrug in Hanstedt. Delicious, home-style country house cuisine. We ate onion soup, roulades and half a duck with fine side dishes and delicious boiled potatoes from the heath. Excellent. From me ☆☆☆☆☆ for service and food

It's wonderful, it still exists, gastronomy with roulades, grits sausage, schnitzel... great and really good. Of course the selection is larger, I simply put my beloved "home cooking" in front..... Great food, friendly service, what more could you want...😃

The four of us had a very good meal here! 2x schnitzel and fried potatoes and 2x plaice fillet and potato salad. Highly recommended!

We had the macaroni with oil, garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. The food was delicious and we could sit comfortably outside. Because the tables weren't so crowded, it was very pleasant.

Very nice restaurant that I can only recommend. Cozy, child-friendly and nice service. The food was very good, even the “little ones” ate up. There was a salad with the meal. As has been written many times, this is rather the exception today. And then it was also delicious and very fresh. As a "good" eater, I would prefer the portion to be a little larger. Here we have a place that can actually call itself a restaurant, in contrast to most "warm-up places".

Great village inn with a beautiful beer garden and very good cuisine. There are also more unusual dishes on the menu, such as Grützwurst with fried potatoes and homemade applesauce. Cozy dining rooms inside. Many cyclists and motorcyclists take a break here.

Very nice inn, wonderful service, but we didn't really agree with the food. The roast beef was tasty but the fried potatoes were dripping with fat. The salad was a bit dried out.

Soooo delicious. There is something for every taste, from meat plates and kale to super delicious vegan Thai curry with crunchy vegetables and chilli that you can dose yourself. Plus a friendly and fast team. We will be back. Thanks for the great lunch.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Heidekrug zum Mittagessen. Es passt einfach alles: Sehr gute und reichliche Mahlzeiten. Dazu unglaublich freundliches Personal, sowie ein urgemütliches Ambiente. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Schließe mich den Ausführungen der anderen an, aber!!!!! Fragt bei der Bestellung der Empfehlung nach dem Preis, ansonsten kommt ein kleiner Schock, Seelachsfilet mit Pommes 27,90 €, hat gut geschmeckt. Currywurst mit Pommes 8,90 €.

Besonders um die Weihnachtszeit ein Genuss. Das rustikale, aber stilvoll arrangierte Interieur lädt zum Verweilen ein, ab Ende November mit festlichem Weihnachtsbaum und akzentuierter Tischdeko. Die Speisekarte überraschte mit vielen fleischlosen Gerichten, von verschiedenen Suppen, über Salat Variationen und kleinen Gerichten. Alle Fleischesser kommen hier auf ihre Kosten und werden es schwer haben zu wählen. Es warten saisonale Klassiker wie Ente, Gans und Grünkohl sowie Schnitzel, Lamm und Rouladen. Die Bedienung ist hierbei immer zur Stelle und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Am Ende geht dann doch noch ein Premium Eis, was absolut zu empfehlen ist. Satt und glückseelig verlässt man den Heidekrug. Preis Leistung geht hier komplett auf. Man spürt die Liebe zum Kochen und die Mitarbeiter mit Herzblut dabei. Wirklich ein schöner Laden. Vielen Dank nochmals.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit guten Essen

Im Heidekrug bekommen man immer großartige deutsche Küche. Zudem gibt es abwechslungsreiche und saisonale Gerichte auf der Tageskarte (derzeit z.B. halbe Ente, einfach großartig). Das Ambiente ist urig, total gemütlich. Die Bedienung stets zuvorkommend, freundlich und aussagefähig.

Moin, Alles hat gepasst. Bedienung sehr freundlich und witzig. Das Essen war fantastisch. Wiener Schnitzel mit Pfeffersoße, Schweinelenden, Ente, Rouladen. Alles leckeres zartes Fleisch und wunderbare Soßen dazu. Auch die Beilagen mit viel Hingabe zubereitet. Top, Empfehlung!

Unglaublich lecker, tolle Portionsgrößen und Preis-Leistung wahnsinnig gut. Alle sind satt geworden und so zartes Filet bekommt man selten vorgesetzt! Auch das Ambiente passt wunderbar zusammen.

Wir waren Donnerstag abend Mitte September dort....Leckeres Essen....Schnitzel nach Wiener Art....etwas höherpreisig, aber noch ok....toller Biergarten

Wir hatten eigentlich einen anderen Plan, etwas Essen zu gehen. Dort war aber nur noch draußen etwas und es nieselte bereits. Also sind wir ausgewichen und sehr positiv Überrascht worden. Gerade Bayrische Woche Sehr lecker die Haxe mit Klasse Crunch Der Krabbenteller war auch Toll. Für mich als Soßenkasper etwas trocken. Der Gurkensalat hat es rausgerissen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und Humorvoll. Wir kommen gerne wieder und probieren uns weiter durch die Karte.

Sehr netter Service, sehr leckeres Essen (Rouladen und Salate der Saison). Man sollte auch mitten in der Woche reservieren. Der Heidekrug ist absolut zu empfehlen.

Ein schönes Heidelokal mit flotter Bedienung und tollem Essen

Essen war Sehr lecker. Preise ok. Ambiente leider eher Durch unbequeme Stühle nicht is toll, ansonsten trotzdem ganz schick. Saßen leider auch nicht im Hauptraum. Empfehlenswert zu besuchen und zu testen

Uriges Ambiente. Man fühlt sich in eine andere Zeit versetzt. Herrlicher Landgasthof mit toller deutscher Küche und netter Bedienung.

Wir hatten für den Innenbereich reserviert, konnten aber aufgrund des tollen Wetters doch noch draußen einen Platz ergattern. Sehr leckeres Essen, wir hatten die Rinderroulade und die Steakpfanne. Toll angerichtet, sehr nette Bedienung, alles zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Kommen gerne wieder.

Der Service war gut und freundlich. Der Garten sehr idyllisch. Das Essen war allerdings mies: Beim Salat waren die Möhrenscheiben vertrocknet und die Salatsauce passte auch nicht.

Urgemütlich, Hausmannskost richtig lecker zubereitet, da geht man gerne hin. Wir kommen wieder.
