Himmel und Erde - Restaurant & Souvenir-Shop in Hanstedt

Before visiting the Treetop Walk, we wanted to get a coffee to go from the adjoining restaurant, Himmel und Erde. Unfortunately, the organization there was a bit chaotic. Even though there were only three people in front of us, we had to wait over 30 minutes for our coffee. The reason for this was that the guests inside were constantly given priority, while those waiting outside received little attention. This didn't seem intentional, but there was clearly a lack of a clearly identifiable system or fair distribution of service. The staff were friendly, but overall, there was a lack of structure and clarity. It's a shame – with a bit better organization, the visit here could be much more pleasant.

**Restaurant visit with mixed feelings** We visited the restaurant with the family today and experienced an evening with ups and downs. The evening started somewhat unusually, as the chef served us himself and immediately told us that he wasn't in a particularly good mood that day. Our child ordered fries with nuggets. Unfortunately, the nuggets weren't fully cooked and therefore inedible. The fries, however, were nice and crispy, and there was plenty of ketchup and mayo for refills, which was at least a small consolation for our child. I opted for the potato soup. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The dominant flavor was that of smoked ham, and the other ingredients were barely noticeable. Spices seemed completely lacking. After two spoonfuls, I returned the soup. My husband chose the currywurst with fries. While his fries were also okay, the currywurst was more flavorful. At the end of our visit, the chef came to our table after I returned my almost untouched soup. He barely reacted to my comment that the soup wasn't right and only tasted of ham and disappeared into the kitchen with the plate. The fries and the generous sauces deserve special mention. However, the overall service was disappointing, and the taste certainly needs improvement. In summary, our visit to the restaurant was unfortunately not a highlight, and I hope the team works on the aforementioned issues to provide guests with a better experience.

Yes, we can recommend the restaurant. You can eat inside or outside. The food was great value for money for us. We had fries with schnitzel and fries with chicken nuggets. The food tasted good. And amazingly, you don't have to pay extra for mayo or ketchup. P.S. We were very satisfied.

We were enticed by the good reviews, but unfortunately, we can't confirm them for ourselves: The Thai curry was extremely bland, with the sauce probably reheated several times. There was nothing 'Thai' about it. The fries looked good but were way oversalted. The Caesar salad was really good in terms of freshness and variety. Only the dressing seemed to be half-mixed with mayo, and unfortunately, it didn't taste anything like what we expected or experienced so far. Sorry, in our opinion, only conditionally recommended.

We were very pleasantly surprised by both the service and the food. The prices are also extremely fair. The restaurant's decor is very charming, but the large outdoor area is also inviting for relaxation. The nearby restrooms are also very imaginatively designed. A definite recommendation.

Very pleasant restaurant with a lady server who was lovely. We went to the tower and then had lunch and coffee at the restaurant. The food and coffee was delicious ! We had erbsten supper , curry wurst and Pommes !

To round off our Heide Himmel experience, we had something to eat at the restaurant near the exit. We were pleasantly surprised by the great prices and our plates weren't just half full. We'd love to come back.

After visiting the treetop walk, we wanted to eat something in the restaurant. Although we were previously told the restaurant would be open for another hour, upon entering we were told it was already closed. So we can't judge the food. However, the staff in the souvenir shop were very friendly and the coffee tasted excellent. It would be nice if the opening times could be communicated more precisely in the future.

Delicious food with an unusually wide selection for a zoo or climbing park. Not only currywurst, but also vegetarian chili on rice... and of course, a meat version... or even Thai curry with stir-fried vegetables. Cozy dining room with a modern design.

Visiting the restaurant is only possible with an entry ticket.

It was an excellent pasta dish that we picked up ourselves when the alarm came on. Not wildly expensive and excellent service from Frau Schöngraf.

Very unfriendly staff, especially the guy with the hat at the checkout. Nuggets were OK, fries weren't great.

Very tasty food. Very friendly, open staff. One point deducted because you can only get into the restaurant if you purchase access to the park. But a great park. It was worth it. Saved, will come back.

“Don’t mess around and come over to the cash register” that was the greeting when we stood in front of the menu. Ordered fries and a baked potato. When we asked if we could get a sauce on the fries instead of ketchup, we said "we can't" - the Champion sauce for the schnitzel and the sauce for the currywurst were next to it... well then not - I definitely would with this service and friendliness here don't eat anymore...

Prices are reasonable - we had the carrot soup, the chicken wings and the pasta with Bolognese - the soup and pasta were very tasty and well prepared - I think the CW and fries are frozen goods but only a few people prepare something like that fresh - you have to go there Be clear in advance that you are eating junk 😅 The staff was very nice and the outside seating was good 👍

We had lunch here with eleven people. Very tasty food with several good vegetarian dishes, friendly service, located near the forest and not expensive - highly recommended!

Well, that's it. What I expected is what I got. We didn’t get any aesthetic pleasure, we ate a lot (they put a lot of potatoes)) and went for a walk further. But we waited a long time, then it turned out that our check was lost. The cafe is clean. We took fries, nuggets and sausage. A half-liter cola costs 3.5 euros, I don’t remember the exact food, but the price is reasonable. Something around 8 euros.

I had ordered a schnitzel with fries and mushroom sauce. The sauce was from a can, the fries were rock hard and inedible and the schnitzel was clearly frozen goods. In such a beautiful park with such a great atmosphere, it is an absolute disgrace to serve such poor food and then to charge utopian prices.

Eine ausreichende, abwechslungsreiche Auswahl an Speisen. Mittagstisch und der Kuchen am Nachmittag haben lecker geschmeckt. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut, im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Einrichtungen keine überzogenen Preise.
