Restaurant Haus Dahlbusch in Gelsenkirchen

From the outside, it looked more like a corner pub. Inside, the ambiance was enhanced by nicely set tables. The price/performance ratio was okay. The service was very friendly. The food was tasty.

The restaurant felt more like a playground, as a small child was constantly driving around the dining room in a Bobby Car. The starter soup tasted like it had been mixed, as did the sauces for the main courses. A hunter's schnitzel with croquettes, carelessly "arranged" on the plate for €19, is not appropriate for this quality. The prices charged clearly lack craftsmanship and culinary skills. The value for money is not right.

There is a lack of a children's menu and some composure from the waiter, even if there is a lot to do. Yesterday... went there again after 4 years. There was a small Easter card and you wonder why. There were few tables occupied. The food came quickly, but it wasn't tasty. The schnitzel was fried ok, but the sauce was definitely never homemade and didn't taste anything like the mushrooms, which you could occasionally find in the mushroom sauce. Fries completely over salted Steak poorly fried, medallions dry.... The best thing was the greeting from the kitchen... small warm pieces of bread, two kinds of herb butter and olives. It's a shame, also because the budget was of course adjusted here too. When asked why you come back if nothing tastes good... the first lines where it's just about the service were posted 4 years ago. The rest is new... please read carefully.

Tolles, etwas gehobeneres, Restaurant in Gelsenkirchen. Alle Speisen sind sehr lecker und gut zubereitet. Außerdem gibt es eine Kegelbahn im Keller, die man als Gruppe mieten kann, um sich vor dem Essen ein wenig auszupowern. Besondere Empfehlung gilt der Tomatensuppe mit Gin und Sahne, eine äußerst leckere Variante der klassichen Vorspeise!

Wir waren mit 9 Personen zu einem Essen a la carte eingeladen. Alle waren sehr zufrieden und wurden freundlich bedient. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ebenfalls absolut gut. Alles war schmackhaft und gut zubereitet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
