Restaurant Gutshof in Lauterbach (Hessen)

We booked a table for five people for 9:00 this morning. We even received a reservation confirmation. What we didn't find was an open restaurant. We arrived to find the door locked. This is outrageous! We will report this to the city and the trade office. Perhaps someone will finally take care of it, as this isn't the first time.

We made a reservation for a birthday breakfast and confirmed the reservation, but then we found ourselves with 15 people on Sunday morning, facing closed doors. What a disgrace! Cancellation, Saturday at 4:40 p.m. No further information after the reservation was made. Now you get the chance to have breakfast with 15 guests on Sunday morning. Never again, 🤢🤢🤢

The food selection was very limited. They didn't have anything on the menu, but they did have a few "specials." The shandy was mixed with Fanta, and everything else was a bit unusual. The terrace is really nice; it would be great if you could eat something after a round of golf without the chaos and long waits. Because of the ambiance, I'll be giving it a second chance soon!

The ambiance is still a bit sober at the moment, but the food is recommendable and the manager is very friendly.

RESERVATION Reservations can be made very quickly and easily via the website. You will receive the reservation confirmation quickly. AMBIENCE The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The interior appears new and looks good. On the terrace you can enjoy your food and drink while watching the sunset. The toilet rooms are chic and clean. EAT The theme days don't always take place. However, the owner explained that if the guests were notified in advance, these could take place without any problems. There wasn't every dish on the menu either. If your meal requests are a little more specific, I would recommend specifying your meal request directly when making the reservation. The owner explained that they don't always have everything in stock as the meat is purchased fresh from the butcher and if not used it would end up in the trash. Steaks and schnitzels were sufficiently available. Before our side salad we were given a very large plate of spare ribs (on the house!). The spare ribs came out of the smoker and were the best I've eaten so far. We were there with several people and everyone was very satisfied with their food. The portions were large and very tasty. DRINK The draft beer was at an excellent temperature and tasty. Unfortunately, not all types of beer that were on the menu were available. ENTERTAINMENT There wasn't much activity when we visited. The boss served, who was very open and was also available for general discussions. CONCLUSION If you want a theme day or something more special, it's best to announce it in advance. The food and drink are very tasty and were wonderful to enjoy on the beautiful and quiet terrace.

Great service. Great ambience and great menu. The BBQ is simply amazing! Terrace with sunset included. I'll be back!

Der Sonntagsbrunch ist war absolut gut und weiter zu empfehlen. Reservierung sehr sinnvoll.
